How to maintain scrap in Production Confirmation CO11

Dear experts,
how to maintain the scrap qty in production confirmation , in CO11 there are two field  namely called as yeld qty and scrap, if enter scap qty here how system will calculate scrap  and what are all the setting to be done?
regards
rajakarthik

Hi,
In CO11 if you enter quantity in field scrap then system would scrap the quantity means no positive or negative entry of stock will be done.
In SAP scrap stock in not maintained. If you enter scrap in that field then it will exhaust from SAP. You will not get that material in any form of stock.
If you get fixed qty of scrap and you want to maintain the stock of it in different material then maintain that material with negative qty in BOM.
When ever you do confirmation you will recieve the scrap material in stock through 531 movement.

Vishal

  • How to take back or sale the scrap From Production

    Hello
Suppose we have Issue some materials to Production say 1000 qty, for production, then here some scrap remains,we want to sell this scrap how to do?
we have created the one material code for this scrap , How to take this material back and sale to out side how to to do this ? which is the best option, what is the use of movement type 531 here?
    Regards
    sapman

    Dear,
At the time of production confirmation, the by-product that is produced gets transferred to the respective location. In this case the SCRAP, the goods movement takes place with the movement type ‘531 – Receipt of by-product into unrestricted use’ which is assigned already in co11n, goods movements.
Once the Scrap is the respective storage location, it is ready for sale.
Create a pricing procedure for selling scrap.
It consists of Excise, education cess & higher secondary cess. And also you have conditions for CST & VAT, & TCS, Surcharge on TCS, education cess & higher secondary cess.
Once you are done with pricing procedure, create condition records, create sales order, deliver and invoice, which is your normal sales process.
    Cheers!!

  • Use a different movement type for Scrap in Production Order Confirmation

Hello gurus. I have the following question.
Is it possible to have the "Scrap" quantity during Production confirmation in a separate movement type?
Currently, when I type in the "Yield" and "Scrap" quantities, both of them are summarized into one backflush line under Movement Type 261. So for example: Yield: 10 pieces and Scrap 5 pieces; I only get one Goods Movement for 15 pieces with MvT 261.
The requirement is that whatever is typed under "Scrap" goes on a different movement type (e.g. 551), because then it will be easy to follow (inventory-wise) how many pieces were used in production and how many were scrapped.
    Is it possible?

    Thanks for your reply Krishna.
Well, I notice that when I type a quantity in the "Scrap" field, the difference with "Yield" is that I simply don't get the produced material on stock (in the case of the last operation with a GR for instance). I just get the backflushed quantity.
But yes, I guess in this transaction, I'm scrapping the produced material, the components are still issued. I was just wondering if perhaps they could be split in 261 for normal backflush and 551 for backflush that didn't generate any finished assembly.
    Thanks for your insight.

  • How to maintain Quota arrangement with respect to production verson

    Hi,
I maintained Quota arrangement(without splitting) with respect to the two different production versions of a material and when i checked by running MRP. quota arrangement is not working. the system allocates the demand only to the active production version(which has the current validity period).
I guess i am missing something, can some one tell me how to maintain the quota arrangement with respect to production versions.
we have a requirement where a material is manufactured in house and will have 2 different production versions with 2 different validity periods in material master and they need the quota arrangement to work on this material in M.R.P for 2 different production versions.
I have maintained the quota arrangement usage= 3 in  material master.
    Thanks
    Mahendra

    Hi,
for the req qty to be distributed between two differnt production vesion, you might have to activate splitting in MEq1.
Give the min qty as 1, so that you req qty could be distributed between two differnt production version.
Pls conifm if it is through or if there is any other solution .
    regards

  • How to retrieve material document no. based on production confirmation no.

    Hi Friends,
I am retreiving the production confirmation number(PRTNR) thru bapi BAPI_REPMANCONF_CREATE_MTS. Based on that confirmation number I need to retrieve material document number (MBLNR)
Because multiple users can post finished goods from different locations at same time, I have to complusory retrieve the material document number based on confirmation number only. Tables MKPF and MSEG doesn't have confirmation number fields in them.
I would appreciate if anyone could suggest me good ideas.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Melih,
Thank you for your valuable response.
My BLPP table gets updated with material document as well as confirmation number.
When I test my FM directly, I get a confirmation number in my export. I don't get a material document number in my export parameter. But, BLPP gets updated with material document number as well as confirmation number.
But, if I debugg the FM with the same data I get the material document number as well as conf. no. populated in my export parameters.
This is what I have done:
    Export parameters
    MAT_DOC type BELNR_D
    CONF type PRTNR
    DATA: GS_BLPP               LIKE BLPP,
                          GV_MAT_DOC      TYPE BELNR_D.
    CLEAR: GV_MAT_DOC, GS_BLPP.
        SELECT SINGLE *  INTO GS_BLPP
                         FROM BLPP
                        WHERE PRTNR = CONF
                          AND PRTPS = '0001'.
        GV_MAT_DOC = L_BLPP-BELNR.
        MAT_DOC              = GV_MAT_DOC.
Please let me know if I have done something wrong.
    Thanks.

  • System allows posting of Scrap without even confirmation of an order

    Hello All
Am having a concern here, I checked if the system will allow me to post scrap witout confirming the order, ideally/logically the system shall not allow to do so becuase untill & unless the order is confirmed how the scrap would be generated. But the system allows the posting of scrap witout even confirmation of the order. Kindly suggest me how can i control this behaviour, I dont want that system shall allow to confirm the scrap untill & unless the order is confirmed. Waiting for your vaulable inputs & suggestion.
    Regards,
    J K Tharwani

    Hi Jitender,
Why do you maintain scrap in the BOM as negative qty?
You can give scrap qty in CO11N (mvt 261) or you can scrap the parts using MB1A + 551. You can book extra consumption by MB1A + 261 + PrdOrd reference.
By-product is tend to be maintained in BOM with negative qty.
Of course my knowledge is very limited but I've never heard about such method to scrap materials.
    Thanks,

  • How to handle scrap occured during processing

    Hi all,
I am facing problem with handling the scrap occured during processing. The case here is i want to scrap the material eg ABC, and want to sell the same material with different material no., unit of measurement.
The present process is as below,
The scrap occured during process is been collected & is scraped using Tcode MB1A, with movement type 551 or is added in the scrap feild during confirmation CO15. As per my knowledge this scrap is accounted against the costcenter and then it is out of the system. Now in order to sell the scrap the same scrap with new material no.is loaded back in the system using movement type 501. The same is been sold.
Requirement is that i want the link between the scrap & the scrap been sold.
Want to avoid movement 551 & 501, which is in practice rt now.
The same process is followed from past 5 months. So we cant go with the option of Byproduct / phantom assembly as we need to change all master data.
Can some one suggest me how to go about it, its urgent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Regards,
    Arun

we will take a simple scenario - decide if this helps you
    1. Input RM1 and RM2 (both rawmaterials to produce a finished goods(fg))
       FG1
    2. Now one scrap is produced -wecan call it as SC1
    3. your bom shoudl have positive entries for the RM1 ,RM2 -which will be consumed during the production confirmation
    4. the SC1 the scrap material needs to have a negateive qty in the BOM which will be getting produced with 531 movement type
    5. so this scrap will be avilable in scrap and the same can be sold and processed futher
this is one of the best practiices if
    a. know what qty of scrap willbe produced
    b. if we have diffeent material number for scrap ..
In another case if u need to sell the same material then keep the same material with the negative qty in the bom so the same material will be produced with 531 mvt type.
    Thansk and regards..

  • MFBF -Production confirmation through post with correction

    Hi Gurus,
I am working on the Repeditive MFg Process. Actually our process is converting 25kg bult material into 7g sachet. so we are keeping this 25kg bulk materil as a raw material in 7g FG Bom and doing MD11, MF60 , and then MFBF using Assembly Backflush -post with correction.
    ISSUE is:
System not considering consumed quantity entered in production confirmation. It is rounding up.
For Exp: While doing production confirmation, even though consumed quantity entered as 73 kg, but system rounding up to 75 kg (nearest multiples of 25 kg).
Note : (Alternate Uom conversion is 1 Bag =25Kg in material master)
How to get the exact consumed qty (UOM Kg) conversion to BAG .Like Consumed is 73 KG and the Bag conversion should be 73/25KG =2.92 Bag instead of rounding 73/25=3 Bag what we are getting now.
    Thanks,
    Manikandan.P

    Dear Manikandan,
If my understanding is correct, then there is no meaning in maintaining the stocks of unit of measurement like bag, barrel, drums
in decimal places. For eg a stock can be as 3 bag or 10 drum etc.
Allowing decimal places through CUNI for these UOM is not recommanded.
Check and revert back.(Also I guess there are similar issues that have been posted earlier, search and find the suggestions in
    those threads).

  • How to Maintain the Pricing Condition Records in CRM

    Hi
I am new to the CRM
How to maintain the pricing condition records in crm for the particular condition type?
    as we do in SD(VK11)
    Thanks

    Hi Binu,
First of all, you could maintain pricing conditions in the following places:
    1. In General Condition Maintenance (GCM)
    2. At the product maintenance level
    3. At the 'Price agreement' tab of Contracts
    4. As manual conditions during order processing at item level
Now, if you want to maintain conditions using GCM, you first have to maintain a condition maintenance group in the customizing where in you can assign condition table and condition type for different counter values. I am assuming that you have done this activity successfully.
When you run the transaction '/SAPCND/GCM', for application 'CRM', your condition maintenance group name and context 'GCM', you will be initially taken to a screen where in you'll have an item area which would be blank and then condition fields would be displayed in a tree on the left.
Here, select the field 'Condition type' and click on icon 'Select records'. You would get a dialog prompting you to enter condition type. Here you can specifiy the condition type for which you want to maintain/view condition records.
If no condition records are available, item area would be left blank. Here, you can choose a condition type using the standard F4 help. Depending on condition types that are assigned to condition maintenance group, different condition types would be displayed in the F4-help using which you can maintain condition records.
    Hope this helps.

    Pavithra

  • How to maintain my Mac

I'm trying to learn what kind of maintenance do I need to do on my iMac to keep it running good

    How to maintain a Mac
    1. Make redundant backups, keeping at least one off site at all times. One backup is not enough. Don’t back up your backups; make them independent of each other. Don’t rely completely on any single backup method, such as Time Machine. If you get an indication that a backup has failed, don't ignore it.
    2. Keep your software up to date. In the Software Update preference pane, you can configure automatic notifications of updates to OS X and other Mac App Store products. Some third-party applications from other sources have a similar feature, if you don’t mind letting them phone home. Otherwise you have to check yourself on a regular basis. This is especially important for complex software that modifies the operating system, such as device drivers. Before installing any Apple update, you must check that all such modifications that you use are compatible.
    3. Don't install crapware, such as “themes,” "haxies," “add-ons,” “toolbars,” “enhancers," “optimizers,” “accelerators,” “extenders,” “cleaners,” "tune-ups," “defragmenters,” “firewalls,” "barriers," “guardians,” “defenders,” “protectors,” most “plugins,” commercial "virus scanners,” "disk tools," or "utilities." With very few exceptions, this stuff is useless, or worse than useless.
The more actively promoted the product, the more likely it is to be garbage. The most extreme example is the “MacKeeper” scam.
As a rule, the only software you should install is that which directly enables you to do the things you use a computer for — such as creating, communicating, and playing — and does not modify the way other software works. Use your computer; don't fuss with it.
Never install any third-party software unless you know how to uninstall it. Otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
The free anti-malware application ClamXav is not crap, and although it’s not routinely needed, it may be useful in some environments, such as a mixed Mac-Windows enterprise network.
    4. Beware of trojans. A trojan is malicious software (“malware”) that the user is duped into installing voluntarily. Such attacks were rare on the Mac platform until sometime in 2011, but are now increasingly common, and increasingly dangerous.
There is some built-in protection against downloading malware, but you can’t rely on it — the attackers are always at least one day ahead of the defense. You can’t rely on third-party protection either. What you can rely on is common-sense awareness — not paranoia, which only makes you more vulnerable.
Never install software from an untrustworthy or unknown source. If in doubt, do some research. Any website that prompts you to install a “codec” or “plugin” that comes from the same site, or an unknown site, is untrustworthy. Software with a corporate brand, such as Adobe Flash Player, must be acquired directly from the developer. No intermediary is acceptable, and don’t trust links unless you know how to parse them. Any file that is automatically downloaded from a web page without your having requested it should go straight into the Trash. A website that claims you have a “virus,” or that anything else is wrong with your computer, is rogue.
In OS X 10.7.5 or later, downloaded applications and Installer packages that have not been digitally signed by a developer registered with Apple are blocked from loading by default. The block can be overridden, but think carefully before you do so.
Because of recurring security issues in Java, it’s best to disable it in your web browsers, if it’s installed. Few websites have Java content nowadays, so you won’t be missing much. This action is mandatory if you’re running any version of OS X older than 10.6.8 with the latest Java update. Note: Java has nothing to do with JavaScript, despite the similar names. Don't install Java unless you're sure you need it. Most users don't.
    5. Don't fill up your boot volume. A common mistake is adding more and more large files to your home folder until you start to get warnings that you're out of space, which may be followed in short order by a boot failure. This is more prone to happen on the newer Macs that come with an internal SSD instead of the traditional hard drive. The drive can be very nearly full before you become aware of the problem. While it's not true that you should or must keep any particular percentage of space free, you should monitor your storage consumption and make sure you're not in immediate danger of using it up. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of free space on the startup volume for normal operation.
If storage space is running low, use a tool such as the free application OmniDiskSweeper to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the most space. Move rarely-used large files to secondary storage.
    6. Relax, don’t do it. Besides the above, no routine maintenance is necessary or beneficial for the vast majority of users; specifically not “cleaning caches,” “zapping the PRAM,” "resetting the SMC," “rebuilding the directory,” "defragmenting the drive," “running periodic scripts,” “dumping logs,” "deleting temp files," “scanning for viruses,” "purging memory," "checking for bad blocks," or “repairing permissions.” Such measures are either completely pointless or are useful only for solving problems, not for prevention.
The very height of futility is running an expensive third-party application called “Disk Warrior” when nothing is wrong, or even when something is wrong and you have backups, which you must have. Disk Warrior is a data-salvage tool, not a maintenance tool, and you will never need it if your backups are adequate. Don’t waste money on it or anything like it.

  • How to maintain the integrity of datbase??

    Hi,
I wanted to know that waht are the things which must always be considerd when you maintain the integrity of database and also how to maintain the security that balance the user requirement? I am asking in general point of view.
    hope for your precious advise.

Data integrity is normally ensured by ensuring that the schema design is properly normalized (i.e. there is 1 and only 1 place where a particular piece of information belongs) and by creating referential integrity constraints. It is also a good idea to create packages that operate on the tables and expose only these packaged procedures to app developers. When there are bugs, it is a lot easier to fix a single stored procedure than to modify every application out there. Stored procedure interfaces also simplify life for developers because they don't have to be concerned about remembering to insert all the appropriate relationships, just passing in the right parameters to the function.
Your question on security, unfortunately, is incredibly broad. Generally, practice the principle of least privilege-- give users the absolute minimum of privileges they could need to do their job. Precisely what sort of security policies you need really depends on the application and the organization. Large US companies have things like Sarbanes-Oxley to worry about which drives a lot of requirements, systems with sensitive data (i.e. payroll) probably need more security than something like the product database.

  • How can I avoid automatical quantity confirmation of the items?

At our case, production is done on sales sales order for some of the materials. When all of the materials at the order are producedi I want to triger the availability check but availability check triggered autpmatically when for the first time the order is created. I don't want the system to make the confirmation automatically. How can I avoid automatical quantity confirmation of the items?
Thanks in advance for the answers....

    Hi Yasar
This can be done 2  ways
1.if you want individual material stocks to be checked for avialbility and deliver them independently then check whether you are using requirement type KSV.
    2. If you want to send the group of materials together and do not want to send a material which is part of group individually ,you can use delivery group with Sales Bill of material  concept . the header material may be a fantom assembly .
The delivery group is set at the item  category level ,so u can set it for the item categories u want to go together.
for example  all text package inserts ,extra spares and a material must go together, they  will be part of delivery group.
    I hope this helps

  • Production Confirmation - Report

    Dear Sirs,
I am doing production confirmation with a particular Scrap / Reject Qty. through CO11n / CO15.
    Client requires the following:
    1. Wants to Track the Scrap Qty. which is being posted.
    2. Wants to note down the Reasons of rejections and wants a report of the same.
Do we have a Standard functionality for the above 2 points.
Kindly help me in this regards,
    Thanks in advance,
    Harris Panchal

    Hi,
    Thanks.
But if i do the same through QM, means that i have utilised All the resource in Production for All Qty. which is not the case.
If i scrap the Qty. at the first opn. means the 2nd Opn is producing Qty. - (less) Scrap Qty.
If i do through QM it would consider that all components manfactured are OK at prodn. which is not the case.
Please revert back if i am wrong.
