How to make-Data Can't be Chagd-cell look disabled/protected IP BExAnalyzer

Hi All,
We have an IP application that need to be built in BEx Analyzer as a workbook.
In the input ready query there are certain rows and columns / certain cells that are configured for 'Data Cannot be Changed' in the 'Planning' tab properties.
The query when executed in web, it does show the cells greyed out and disabled so that the user is immediately aware that he should not and cannot enter data in those cells.
The same thing when executed in BEx analyzer does not give the same feature. How to achieve the same thing or similar thing in BEx Analyzer application for cells that are configured for 'Data cannot be changed'?
In workbooks for IP queries, I see a different color border and also the data does not stay when written in the 'Data cnnot be changed' cells and saved. But is there a better way to do this and we have to use BEx workbooks only and we cannot go to web due to some policies of the company.

In the execution mode of the workbook, I went to format-->style of the cells that I wanted to protect and changed the pattern to inlcude a grey color and made it protected.
Now, the cells look greyed out. That's good but at the same time checking 'Protection' did not do anything. Also, where do I go to set the password?

I am designing work-flow of my application through BPEL(JDeveloper), I am making different BPEL projects for different functions, like sales manager got the order from sales person and sales manager either approve it or reject it, if he approve it it goes to Production manager and he ships the goods, now I want to keep sales person, sales manger,production manager in seperate BPEL files and want to get the output of sales person to sales manager and sales manager to production manager please help me in dong this.
I was trying to make partner link in Sales manager of sales person and getting the input from there. I dont know this is right even or not, if it is right I dont know how to make data flow from one application to other.
Experience people please guide.

Yes you can do this.
If you each integration point to be in different process, you have to create three BPEL process.
1. Create a Async BPEL process 'A' which will be initiated when sales person creates the order.
2. From BPEL process 'A' call a ASync BPEL process 'B' which has the approval flow. Depending on the input from process 'A' the sales manager will review the order in workflow and approve or reject and send the result back to process 'A'.
3. Based on the result from workflow, invoke the Sync BPEL process 'C', where you can implement the shipping logic.

I have some jpg pictures that are taken with a standard compact camera.
Pictures are around 2MB in size. I would like to load them full size so I can Zoom into them later.
I can load about 4 of this pictures (total 8MB data), but not 5 of them.
Where is the limitation?

My 3 Year PC has allready 4 GB Ram. But well there are laptops with 1 or 2 gb RAM. Even my 5 year old video-pc, only there to watch some movies, has 1.2GB RAM. So Whatever, maybe Oracle will change this in Java7 or 8. As well also Anyway, i can do make the a little bit more effiecient, but if someone want to load a jpg captuared with a 12MegaPixel Camera, you just need some Ram.

How to make a magnifying glass link to a look up table ?

Hello. I am developing the accounting application of journal entry. In journal line, I use the image "magnifying glass" next to each chart field. When we click on the magnifying glass, it's supposed to come up a look up table( a chart and name mapping table), and we select the proper chart to input into the chart field.
I understand to create another record and page for the look up table. But I don't understand how to make a magnifying glass link to a look up table. Can anybody tell me how to do that ? Thanks.

This is how it works,
Table A (which stores chart fields). You have used fields from table A on a page so that users can input data.
You don't need to put a magnifying glass image or create a new page to achieve look up page.
all you need to do is create another table say Table B which should have the chart field and corresponding description you want to show on lookup page. Then open record-field property of the chart field on Table A and mention Table B as prompt table.

This is exactly what I'm trying to do. The problem is that the data just doesn't get to the clipboard. No matter how hard I try clicking Ctrl-C, it's just not there. Got SHD0 transaction and create screen variant for that transaction there you can disable that field.
Create Transaction variant for that transaction and assign previously created screen variant to this transaction varient. actiavte.

How to make data in Essbase cube equal to data in DW when drilling through

Is there standard ways in Oracle BI + Essbase to make data in Essbase cube and DW equal (corresponding)?
For example when we are drilling down from cube to DW in this moment in DW may be loaded additional data (new data) which are not loaded in the cube yet.
So we have situation where data in the cube not correspond to data in the DW.

I think rebuilding the cube on a more frequent basis not solves the problem – there will be significant time between the moment when data loaded in DW and when data updated in the cube.
I thought of creating 2 tables in DW (“new” and “old”) and 2 cubes (“new” and “old”).
So the process of loading data will look like this:
1. We have corresponding data in table “old” and cube “old”. User always works with “old” objects.
2. Load data to table “new”.
3. Load data to cube “new” from table “new”.
4. Rename tables and cubes: “old” to “new”, “new” to “old”. Here users starting to work with updated cube and table.
5. Add new changes go cube and table “new” (there will be old data).
6. Go to step 2.
But this way is too expensive (storage amount doubles).
And maybe easier way can be found?...

I've made multiple forms for a Web site. Each form is within its own module. The problem is the data entered into a form disappears as soon as the user shifts to another form (and consequently, another module). How to make the data persist in the form even if the user shifts away to another module? I've tried using a Model to hold the data but the data didn't stay in the text fields.

I thought ModuleLoader could only load one Module at a time, and unloaded the current Module when called to load the next Module. This app has only one ModuleLoader, which loads various modules as different states are called.
If the Model to hold the form data is in the shell application, how to wire each Model to each Form (assuming the forms are still in various modules)?

To replicate data you can ude Database Gateway for ODBC or Database Gatewy for MS SQl Server. Please use the search engine of this forum if you ant to get more details about each product.
Some SQl Servers are set up to use Windows authentication only. In this case you won't be able to connect to the SQL Server as Windows authentication isn't supported with the gateways. You have to make sure your SQL server is supporting username and password authentication - a common user is the "sa" user. Regarding the username/password, please get in touch with your SQL Server Admin.

SAP PI is the interface to move file from one system to other system like BI, R/3 etc.,
Create open hub on top of Info cube based on your requirement. Create logical path and assign physical path to logical path using T-code FILE. Provide that logical path in Open hub destination where the file will be placed. Then SAP PI team will pick that file and process that file as per requirement.

How old historical data can be available for SCOM performance views to show up in graphs?

I have created performance rule based on performance counter and created a performance view on the target of the rule. It shows me the graph of how performance counter value changed over the period of time.
In SCOM console there is an option in performance views, to choose start date-time and end date-time for the performance graph. It allows me to select a range of say few years.
However going by the Microsoft documentation, it appears that performance data is stored in OperationsManagerDW database only for limited period.
I have a feature requirement where we need to have performance views or reports or some means where for compliance purpose we should be able to show older data as well.
So my query is exactly how much historical data(up to how old) is actually available for performance views? Is there any specific information or MS documentation available where I can get this information (duration of historical data in specific number of days
or years or so.) I need to decide based on this if I can use performance views or I need to go for some kind of reports like SSRS reports instead.

Here my requirement is if call status is 'Call created' then some set of date fields to be appeared in display mode(Non Editable) and some set of date fields to be appeared in change mode(Editable).
