how i can create user(application administrator) who have responsability of group of user as a follow:
user administrator1
The group of users only (user1_1, user1_2, user1_3 ..... etc)
And also user administrator2
The group of users only (user2_1, user2_2, user2_3 ..... etc)
And so on
So that any one of them (administrator1, administrator2, ... etc) can create or delete or modify users and
set roles and read all roles and privileges ,only on users that belong to them (administrator1, administrator2, ... etc).

As far as I know, there is no way with SQL to restrict CREATE USER or ALTER USER statements to specific user accounts.
So what you intend to do seems impossible with SQL.Correct me, what could be the problem.. ?? As they are privi's too which are assigned to specific user. :-) I agree that grouping can't be carried out.

Next have to two different Administrators Accounts (Perhaps, if you are providing sysdba to them, then can perform any thing across the users - grouping might not possible).

    groupadd dba << i think this group already created!
    useradd -g dba -d /home/applmgr applmgr << for apps node
    useradd -g dba -d /home/oramgr oramgr << for db node
    As you notice we define 2 different user under /home path!

    to get into HTML DB of the Oracle XE environment by logging in as anotherOracleAccount/password.
    Since MyApp is using the HR-owned 'employees' table, should we grant some privileges on hr.employees to anotherOracleAccount?
    I tried this, I still got the 'Invalid Login Credentials' message.

    I would like to understand more on the payment approval process in SAP Business ByDesign. Despite it is quite easy to find the payment approval process in the help center, it is really hard to find how to manage to whom the payment approval request is sent. How can a system administrator can decide which users have the faculty to approve payments? How to change/update the list of approver users?
    Of course I have the rights to manage all users by assigning them business roles and access rights. I have access to all workcenters.

    Hi Luca,
    You can define threshold amounts for payment approvals depending on company, payment method, and user. No task will be created if the amount of the outgoing payment is below the specified threshold.
    You can define this threshold for both incoming and outgoing payments on the Fine-Tune task Business Task Management for Payment and Liquidity Management
    After maintaining a threshold amount to trigger the approval process, you can define who is the approver via Application and User Management work center, Employee Work Distribution view. In the Finance and Administration group, define the approvers within Approver for Liquidity Management.
    The approval task is then sent to all approvers that you've maintained. If the task is completed for one of them, the payment gets approved. If there is no approver maintained, the task is sent to all authorized managers.

    Is there any option similar to 9i OEM's "Add Database to tree" in 11g ?
    currently I monitor 30 databases, all running 9iR2, using enterprise manager console. I had removed Oracle 9i from my system to install 11g, so is there anyway to monitor 9i database from 11g or do I have to re-install 9i into a new home ?
    My system is Windows XP and most databases are on linux.

    What, precisely, do you mean by "11g Enterprise manager console"? Are you talking about a web-based interface? Or a Java-based console application?
    If you have not done a separate OEM install, you're most likely using the database control, as web-based interface that allows you to manage a single database. You would need to install the Grid Control in order to manage multiple databases through the same interface.
    You're probably right, that's why I asked the question. Perhaps the original poster meant the "10g Enterprise Manager console". Perhaps he meant the "11g Enterprise Manager Database Control". Perhaps he meant the "11g Enterprise Manager Grid Control". Or perhaps he meant something different (i.e. SQL Developer is a console application that ships with 11g and has a variety of reporting scripts).
    The OP for the 11g installation could not have possibly made a separate OEM install, OEM is not included in 11g any more and he has not mentioned trying such intall. The OP was clear enough, so IMO there is no confusion, 30 9i databases, 1 11g database. There was not a 10g in between. I would not go so far as to say an 11g grid control, since there is no such grid control, the latest version for grid control is 10.2.0.4.0 for R2 and 10.1.0.3.0 for R1. And SQLDeveloper, yes, it is a java application included with 11g, and you can launch scripts from there, but in no way it is a managing environment the way the OP pretends.

    The one what you listed tracing by service name is interesting, correct me if I understood it wrong way.

    I have created 3 groups as Portal_Admin and added 2 users for each group.
    When I am trying to grant permissions to these groups to the Applications owned by Portal30( I have logged in as portal30 at this point), I am unable to see these groups but am able to see these individual users.
    I am trying to grant access to individual menu items/sub menus of a Portal Menu.
    Is it correct way to do things?
    Or am I wrong somewhere?
    My Idea:
    I would like to create 20 users 10 of each belong to particular Oracle schema and then organize these 20 as groups
    who will access certain application objects.
    I wanted to give Admin an option to add/del/modify users to and from a Group once initial setup is done.
    We really stopped here.

    It's a bug.
    Type the name of the group you want to add the user to and click apply, if you typed it correctly the the group name will appear.
    We are building a fix for this.

    The first argument is a Unique Group Id, you can find it in User Administration->Roles->Navigate to the role->Edit->copy the content of "Unique ID" field.
    The second argument is <b>true</b> if you what to search recursively, means if the user assigned to a group.

    I want to delete the routes starting 172.16.n.n and wonder how they got into the route table; what type of device they are; and how to remove them.
    I am just a standard user with some limited UNIX experience. I cannot switch user to root in a Mac Terminal screen, as I do not know what the 'root' SU password is. But I have administrative user rights on the Mac and the Router.

    VMWare (and Parallels as well, for that matter) offer networking services in a variety of modes: Bridging, NAT and Host-only. To be able to connect VM's "internally" for NAT and Host-only networking, VMWare itself needs to provide something like a "virtual router" for each of those services.
    There are three private address spaces defined by RFC1918. 10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12 and 192.168.0.0/16. In your case, your standard internal IP addresses used on your network are in the 192.168.0.0/16 class and VMWare has chosen two addresses in the 172.16.0.0/12 range for vmnet1 and vmnet8.
    eliminating them will kill network connectivity for your VM's. Plus, the next time you reboot, VMWare will just recreate them anyway - you can see the kernel messages in the Console.

    Just started deployment of Lync 2013.  We do not host our exchange / mail internally.  It is a hosted solution (not exchange).  We do use outlook though.
    It has been a long time since I set up Lync (Since OCS 2007 / 2007 R2)
    Can someone please tell me how to create groups for all users on the Lync Client and populate them from groups in AD.Right now we are using Spark and we have decided to use Lync.  In Spark it queries AD every day and populates the groups from AD
    groups that we have defined.
    I know that users can create there own groups, but we prefer to have every client have every group (department) and those in department listed below rather than them have to manually add them individually.

    Lync Client can't use AD group or Exchange mail group. You can't create Lync client group with AD GPO. each Lync user can create their own group in Lync client and of course can delete.
    You can not manage Lync client within the
    group as the centeral. There is no such
    feature in Lync. you can examine 3rd party applications. for example ;
