How to manage the personal value list of movement types
When selecting the movement type from F4 Help, you can set the personal value list on the F4 Help pop-up screen(i.e. Tr-cd:MB1A).This list seems to depend on users.
Questions are.....
1. If you can manage the setting of this list from other management transactions like SU01, could you tell me which transaction should be used and how to manage it ?
2. If impossible to manage it, the setting information must be stored into some DB table in some way though. Could you tell me the name of the table ?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards
Hello Hideki Kozai,
First of all, include ONLY the mvt types in your (user's) favouite list by pressing "add to favourite button" on F4 help. These mvt types are normally used by users.
If you want to delete from the favourite, then select that particular mvt type and click on "Delete from favourite" button, so that will not apprear in next time.
The other way is suggested by Sumit, remove from the transaction list itself so user will not be able to carry out that mvt type.
Hope this helps.

How to restrict the dropdown values in Att/abs type in Record Working Time
Hello experts,
We are implementing ESS business package. In the Record Working time, within the Weekly View and Daily View tabs, there is a column Att/abs.type which has several drop down values - like: floating value, Funeral Leave, Military Reserve, Regular Attendance, etc. Our requirement is to restrict the dropdown values by means of showing only one of these values (say: Regular Attendance) and others should not be shown. How do we achieve this?
Thanks
Vicky R.Hi Siddarth,
Thanks for the info. By the way, this table info is not mentioned in the Business Package documentation. Which documentation are you referring to?

Edited by: user6736659 on Sep 5, 2011 6:15 AMHi,
The following XQuery should give you what you want :
max(
for $i in /CustomerList/CustomerDetails/modifyDate
return xs:dateTime($i)
)For instance, using Oracle SQL :
SQL> var xmldoc varchar2(4000)
SQL> begin
2 :xmldoc := '<CustomerList>
3 <CustomerDetails>
4 <name> Test 1</name>
5 <status>active</status>
6 <modifyDate>2011-08-20T17:21:17+10:00</modifyDate>
7 </CustomerDetails>
8
9 <CustomerDetails>
10 <name> Test 2</name>
11 <status>cancel</status>
12 <modifyDate>2011-08-29T17:21:17+10:00</modifyDate>
13 </CustomerDetails>
14
15 <CustomerDetails>
16 <name> Test 3</name>
17 <status>active</status>
18 <modifyDate>2011-09-29T17:21:17+10:00</modifyDate>
19 </CustomerDetails>
20 </CustomerList>';
21 end;
22 /
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed
SQL> select xmlquery('max(
2 for $i in /CustomerList/CustomerDetails/modifyDate
3 return xs:dateTime($i)
4 )'
5 passing xmltype(:xmldoc)
6 returning content

Select-options - select multiple values from personal value list
Hi experts,
In my application, I am using select-options. I select the values required from the search help into the personal value list . I want to copy these values from the personal value list into my ranges table. Do I have to copy them one row at a time. Is there any way to select the values directly into the ranges table of the select-options field?
Regards,
Abdullah.Boy, this is something we're struggling with too. So we'd like to hear others' ideas on this also.

How to select the multiple values in list box and how to catch that values in OnInputProcessing.
Regards,
Ravi.Hi,
A possible method is:
Get all fields of the form
CALL METHOD request->get_form_fields
CHANGING
fields = table_fields.
loop over the fields
LOOP AT table_fields INTO wa_fields.
test the name of the field
CASE wa_fields-name.
WHEN 'test'.
retrieve the value of the field
test = wa_fields-value.
endcase

How to get the selected value in SelectOneMenu in backing bean
Hello all,
I need your help. I want to have 2 select menus with the second menu's items list are populated based on the selection in the first menu. I don't know how to get the selected value in the backing bean so that I can based on that select menu to populate the second menu's item list. Basically I need to access to the UI Component of the first select Menu and retrieve its selected value.
Could you help me out?
Thank you very much in advance,
LngoHi Lingo,
There r two ways of getting the values into the list. First one is hardcoding the values and the second one is use the list and get the values into the list by firing a query in the database.
Inorder to display the values in the second menu based on the first onces selection we need to add an attribute to the first selectonemenu known as valueChangeListener and we need to sumit the page.
Here is the sample code
<h:selectOneMenu id="catalogue"
binding="#{urbean.catalogue}" onchange="submit()"
valueChangeListener="#{urbean.categoryValueChange}"
<f:selectItem itemLabel="Select Catalogue" itemValue="" />
<f:selectItems value="#{urbean.catalogueList}" />
</h:selectOneMenu>
<h:selectOneMenu id="category"
binding="#{urbean.category}"> <f:selectItem itemLabel="Select Category" itemValue="" />
<f:selectItems value="#{urbean.categoryList}" />
< </h:selectOneMenu>
now in method called by valuechangelistener we need to write the similar code
public void categoryValueChange(ValueChangeEvent event) {
String rfnum = (String) event.getNewValue();
List categoryList = new ArrayList();
List tempList = new TablenameDAO().getActiveCatByCatalogueID(rfnum);
for (int i = 0; i < tempList.size(); i++) {
Tablename tablename = (Tablename ) tempList.get(i);
String value = "" + tablename .getrfnum();
String label = tablename .getname();
if (label == null) {
label = "";
SelectItem item = new SelectItem(value, label);
categoryList.add(item);
bean.setCategoryList(categoryList);
///getActiveCatByCatalogueID (rfnum) should bring the records which r based on the rfnum
if u follow this process i am damsure that u will get the values in to the secondlist based upon the first list
Thanks & Regards

How to get the attribute value of an XML file??
How to get the attribute value of an XML file??
For example, how to get name and age attributes?
<student name="Joe" age="20" />What are you using to read the XML file??
On the assumption of JDOM - www.jdom.org. Something along the lines of:SAXBuilder builder = new SAXBuilder(true);
Document doc = builder.build(filename);
Element root = doc.getRootElement();
List children = root.getChildren();
Element thisElement = (Element)children.get(n);
String name = thisElement.getAttributeValue("name")
try
int age = Integer.parseInt(thisElement.getAttributeValue("age"));
catch (Exception ex)
throw new InvalidElementException("Expected an int.....");

How to get the selectOneRadio value in javascript
Hi,
I want the selectOneRadio value in javascript. Can anyone give us a solution how to get the selectOneRadio value to javascript from jspx page.
Thanks,
EswariHi,
I assume you are talking about JDeveloper 10.1.3 in where there is no JavaScript API ADF Faces.Here you will have to use document.getElementById() to access the radio button component (which is a list component). You can look at the generated HTML for how the component and its ID look like.
However, what is the usecase that you cannot handle in native JSF ?

Personal Value List in automatic F4 Help
I have created an input field in my web dynpro view. For the underlying data element I have created a search help in the dictionary, and in the context, I have selected "search help = automatic". Now, i get a F4 help for the input field for free, which I like a lot.
In the F4-help window, there is a button called "Add to Personal Value List", but this button is disabled all the time.
What can I do to enable that button (and the respective functionality)?

maybe this note can give you a solution:

I just bought a 80GB Ipod and I'm having a hard time figuring it out how to manage the files I've downloaded to it. I just sent a podcast to it but it doesn't appear it the Podcast folder. I have to search it in the entire list of files. Can someone tell me how I can manage these files?

How to set the default values for fields
Hi all,
How to show the default values without changing the existing code in the CO for the seeded page.
I have requirement like one drown box in that three values are there. On page load the item is empty , but i have to show first value as default value. Is this possible through personalization..
Can any body have idea pls give some suggession.
Thanks
UmaConsidering you don't want to go for controller extension..
A way is to use java script in personalization.
Simply create a RawTextBean using personalization and add the java code to change the properties.
Java script plan:
Get the handle of the items to change (like here drop down)
selectTags=document.getElementsByTagName('select') --gives list of all the select tags in the page
get ID of the select tag whose value you want to change (loop throug selectTags array).
or get it directly by getElementsByName method or getElementsByID mETHOD.
Say its handle is changeItemID.
changeItemID.selectedIndex=2
Overview of script
<SCRIPT type="text/javascript">function _checkLoad(eventXX){
--yOUR CODE FOR GETTING handle Of the select item whose value is to be changed,goes here...
changeItemID.selectedIndex=2
}</SCRIPT> -
How to manage the Credit Control for Customer Consignment Process?
Hi All,
Could anyone tell me how to manage the Credit Control for Customer Consignment Process?
ThanksHi, there is not standard solution, we did customized process for consignment credit block , check below
1. defined status profile - with lock/auto/approved/rejected and new t.code for approval or rejected.
2. maintained consignment credit limit in Z table
3. logic for detemining status written in sales order save userexit.
4. while calcualting the values, system need to check open sonsignment order of customer/ open deliveries/ stocks at customer place MSKU table. and calculate value with MBEW/KONV ect.
5. if value is less than Z table then status AUTO, which do not need release, if value is greater than Z table put status LOCK means credit block need to release from new T.code.
Hope you get some idea
