How to manually provide checksum in URL

Hi -- I've just enabled session state protection in my application.
All pages: Arguments must have checksum
All page items: Checksum required - session level
All application items: Checksum required - session level
I have a javascript header that does a window.location.href to go
to the specified URL. How do I provide the checksum in that URL?
I know where to put it... but not how to provide a valid value.
Without it, I'm getting:
Attempt to save item DISPLAY_P1_MESSAGE_BUTTON in session state during show processing. Item protection level indicates "Item may be set when accompanied by a "session" checksum.". No checksum was passed in or the checksum passed in would be suitable for an item with protection level "(No checksum was provided)".

Have a look at APEX_UTIL.PREPARE_URL: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10513_01/doc/apirefs.310/e12855/apex_util.htm#CDEIBCJD as this allows you to append the checksum value to the url.

How to find out podcast's URL (to add it manually; iTunes Store error -9812

I'm trying to subscribe to the free podcast called TEDtalks. I've located it in the iTunes Store, but when I hit "subscribe", I get "unknown error -9812". Same thing when I try to log in to the store. Nothing I've tried helps resolve this error (it started after I added some SSL certificates to my keychain). Anyway, I want to add the URL to this podcast to iTunes manually (through the Advanced menu). How do I find out the URL? I've done this before for other podcasts, but I just can't seem to figure out what the URL is for this one. I can subscribe to it on another Mac; if I do that, can I get it to display the URL it's using so that I can add it by hand?

How to move up within a URL path?

Recently started using URLs in my programs. Works great. However, all the
time I have been wondering how to move up in that URL path. For example,
if my url1=("http://www.something.com/") I normally end up at the index.html.
But how could one set up a relative url reaching a file or directory at the same
level as that index.html? I suppose one should go up onel level and then
specify the name of the required file.
I tried to use things like url2= new URL(url1,"../myfile") but that doesn't seem
to work.
Anybody has an idea? Thanks in advance.

I'm not 100% clear on what the requirement is from the description, however it does sound like you are making things unnecessarily complicated.
If you want permanent/ID-independent links then use application and page aliases.
so here we used to display the url like this: <tt>{noformat}http://81.131.254.171:8080/apex/f?p=122{noformat}</tt>
Do you mean that the URL is displayed like that? If so that doesn't seem particularly helpful. How is anyone supposed to know what it is?
There are many ways to provide links in APEX—including lists and nav bars.
Where the link is to another resource located on the same server (such as another page in the same app, or a different app in the workspace), relative addressing can be used, making it unecessary to include scheme, domain and port information in the URL. For example, if the page to be linked to has a page alias <tt>ABOUT</tt> in an application with alias <tt>UNITY</tt>, and the apps share an authentication scheme/cookie to permit shared sessions, then the link URL is simply

Tools --> InternetOptions --> Advance.
As normally we have 1 Java(SUN) and 1 Microsoft VM option present in Tools --> InternetOptions --> Advance.
Out of the 2 JRE versions, the one which is checked, must be selected for the browser.

There's a bug with iPhoto 9.5 and Mavericks in that slideshows from Albums do not play correctly if they are sorted manually. Only photos that have been sorted by date, keyword, rating or title will play from albums correctly.
To have a slideshow with photos sorted manually use the slideshow mode in iPhoto.

You can't. This URL is programmatically assigned when the folder is created by Connect. Folders don't have the option for custom URLS.
You could always use a service that provides a shorter URL and re-directs to whatever you want. There are plenty of services like:

TinyURL: http://tinyurl.com
Short URL: http://shorturl.com

How to get SSO userid to URL-based app?

I'm developing a web-app using Struts that will be accessed by Portal (I guess as a URL-based app). The web-app will not require login. The web-app will not be Portal "aware", except that it requires the SSO userid for auditing/logging purposes.
I know little about Portal and SSO. How can Portal be configured to send the Portal userid of the logged-in Portal user? Can it send it as a parameter in a GET or POST?
The version of Portal will be 9.0.2 (or greater).

Add content administration role to the user.
The the content administration tab would be visible to the user in the main menu tab.
Then in content administration tab, configure the URL for KM URL tab or link.
This would be done by EP experts. Please contact your EP experts to do.

How to manually add second detail on master detail page

Hi,
Apex 4.1
can anyone tell me which steps to take excactly to manually create a second detail region on a master-detail form ?
So far I've copied the first detail region and customized it to the second detail table. Copied the processes and adjusted them.
What happends now is whenever I push one of the 2 "add row" buttons the rows are always added to the last region shown on the page. (also if I try to change anything on the data on the form and submit it all kind of errors show up )
It seems like the javascript:addrows() does not work for the region it's defined in, but how to adjust this ??
If I'm forgetting any other steps please also let me know.
Found multiple threads on this but so far no explanation on how to manually do this.

Multiple tabular forms or detail regions on a master-detail form are not yet supported. So you best option would be to make one or both of the detail regions read-only report regions with edit links on each row, which would take you to a detail edit page. Alternatively you could try to manually build two tabular form regions on your page, however you will not be able to use any of the built-in tabular form features then, incl the add-row functionality, the multi-row update processes and declarative validations. So all of this would need to be hand-coded in PL/SQL and JavaScript. We have plans to support multiple tabular form regions out of the box, but we don't yet when this might make it into APEX.

If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...

I tried to use Encoded Absolute URL but this like

but i need something like this

I have grow thorough some post and i found that,
Statically i can write http://asdf.com/Lists/abc/DispForm.aspx?ID= and from Add lookup i can get ID by choosing current item.
The link which i get is partially hyperlink like this
http:aasdf.com/Lists/abc/DispForm.aspx?ID=10 (here 10 is not hyperlink)
when i copy and paste this link it works fine but by clicking it i am not getting true result.

I have List workflow using SharePoint Designer 2010. When new item get create, it sends email to person for approval. But when it sends email it sends Dafault zone URL.
Dafault zone URL is only accessible through Virtual Machine. We cant access from local machine. So i need to send intranet zone URL in email so user can open through local machine.
I tried it but i can only able to do for one list. I have to so this general for every list.
How can i send intranet zone URL?
Swapping the zone URL is not solution for this issue because after swapping situation is same.

I am seeking infomation on how to use TCP Checksum Off-load to tell the Solaris 8 stack not to handle it for both receives and transmits (and let our NIC handle this compute-intensive task instead).
There is mention that Sun GigabitEthernet Adapter cards, Release 1.1 supports Sol-2.6 use of NIC features: TCP checksum offload & byte swapping
There are limited bits of info in include files. For example

Could you show your python code. so we know what your are "writing" to the ethernet port?
That way we can see what you are receiving.
Parsing the incoming data (from the TCP-read) depends heavily on the device that sends it, and can not generically be described. LabVIEW has many byte (and even bit) manipulation functions to convert many different data formats to its own build in formats.
So after the TCP listener is connected, you are constantly reading from the established connection (until it gets broken of course). More advanced example would be the internet toolkit if oyu have it.
From the read characters (and I hope you designed a protocol with a clear starting character, ending character and maybe even a build in checksum) you parse the data and perform you action, and of course generate a reply. Again the internet toolkit is a good example. It parsed the input as it comes it, based on the HTTP format. Then generates the reply based on the request received.
These days I would suggest not to use binairy encoded numerics. Try and use XML formatted data. Yes, it causes a lot of overhead. But typically this is not an issue and makes the code a lot more portable and maintainable. Also makes it easier to interface with other languages/platforms.
Umless of course you are looking at Khz data rates, then XML is not th preferred choice.
