How to mask 0 with "." dot representation.

My question is how to place "." where zeros(0) are located in the array.
Array = 0,1,1,0,9,4,0,6;
I want something like this
Array = .,1,1,.,9,4,.,6
I tried this, did not get much.
or (int i = 0; i < 7; i++) {
if(array[i] == 0)
array[i] = Integer.valueOf(".");
Thanks in advance.

It is not a char.Are you trying to do this when you print out the array, or are you trying to manipulate the array itself?
The loop goes and if i convert it to any number like "8" it works, but it does not work with "."
ASCI would help would not?Like kajbj said, '.' isn't a number, so you can't store it in as an int. You can convert a char to an int, but that doesn't sound like what you're trying to do. Post your code between code tags please.

  • How to mask photo with any shape except rectangle?

    Can anyone tell me how to quick-mask photos using the button at the bottom of the window, but using a shape other than rectangle?

    The masking IS vector masking, it's just only with rectangles. The masking that Pages and Keynote has is vector masking as well, only those programs have a function to Mask to Shape.
    While iWeb doesn't have this function, if you copy a vector masked object from iWork, it will remain masked in iWeb.

  • How to make JFormattedTextField respond with . (dot) key

    Dear all,
    Currently I have to create a text field for IP Address entry.
    I have used MaskFormatter and JFormattedTextField.
    I have a problem, on how to make my JFormattedTextField responding with dot entry, to move the cursor to the next segment of the IP Address.
    e.g.
    IP Address want to be inputted = 192.168.1.2
    Keyboard to be pressed = [1][9][2][1][6][8][1][.][2]
    Currently, after [1], I have to press my arrow key, or click by using mouse to go for the last segment.
    Can you please help me ?
    Thank you.

    Hi there,
    Thank you for your help. It works. Anyway, I have 1 more question. Do you have any idea, on how can I set the IP Segment size to be fixed ?
    What I mean is, originally, my text field will look like this ---> . . .
    But as I type, the dot can be shifted since it is pushed by the entry value --> 192.168.111.111
    Do you have any idea for this ?

  • How do I make a dotted line in Illustrator?

    I've figured out how to make a dashed line (under Stroke), but how do I make a dotted line? Little round circles, one after the other that I can resize, turn into a circle, stick to a path?
    Thanks

    The string of pearls was done on CS2
    The orange "pearls" had a stroke weight of 40 pt, Dash 0, Gap 42 and a new black stroke behind with a weight of 42 pt.
    Then the stroke was copied, coloured just white and moved a bit to make the white "highlights". Weight 10 pt, Dash 0, Gap 42.
    I suppose, if one could be bothered, it would be possible to make a string of pearls with alternating big and small pearls by using a combination of dash settings on New Strokes. Should work all right as long as the Dash is a constant or an exact multiple. I can't be bothered!
    I don't understand that bit about having the last gap as 0. The pearls came out fine with just one setting for the dash and one for the gap. The other boxes weren't filled in.

  • How does one deal with transparency in a placed file in InDesign?

    I suppose this may seem elementary, but I'm relatively new to it so here goes:
    First off, my print shop says that placed images should be in EPS format. I'm creating my files in Illustrator and some of them use a gradient mask to fade an object away. When saved as an EPS, the gradient mask shows as a white box instead of fading into the background. When I copy/paste my Illustrator image into a new Photoshop file, save it as a PSD, bring that PSD into Illustrator and save it as an EPS, the whole file is in a white box.
    Example. I want those aisle markers to not be in white boxes.

    How does one deal with transparency in a placed image in InDesign?
    Thanks.

    If possible, one finds a new printer who can handle your files properly and doesn't insist on .eps.
    What format are you delivering to the Printer? If it's anything other than PDF (and that's at their request) all the more reason to reread the first sentence. Why on earth are you moving things from Illustrator to Photoshop and back to Illustrator? Either one of those will save as .eps (ugh), though you need to use a clipping path for transparent areas coming out of photoshop (don't really know how Illy handles it when you say to save .eps with transparent background), but you are FAR better off with either native .AI or .PSD, both of which support transparencey, unlike .eps.If yo are delivering PDF, as you should be, it makes no difference to the printer what format the placed content uses (and it shouldn't matter to him even with native files unless he's hopelessly stuck in the 90s).
    In any event, when importing from Illustrator, make sure to show the import options and check the transparent background box.

  • Resizing or moving an opacity mask along with the items inside it

    I'm trying to resize a opacity mask by doing
    transMaskItem.resize(
      10, //scaleX,
      10, //scaleY,
      true, //[,changePositions]
      true, //[,changeFillPatterns]
      true, //[,changeFillGradients]
      true, //[,changeStrokePattern]
      0.1, //[,changeLineWidths]
    This resizes the item, but it does not resize the item inside it. I tried similar command with the translation command
    transMaskItem.translate(
    100, //([deltaX]
    100. //[,deltaY]
    True, //[,transformObjects]
    True, //[,transformFillPatterns]
    True, //[,transformFillGradients]
    True, //[,transformStrokePatterns])
    and similar thing happened. The item gets moved, but the object inside it doesn't.
    How do I resize or translate an opacity mask along with the items inside it?

    I see...it seems to be a bug, the actual mask gets ignored. Probably to be consistent with the user interface, you can not select the mask with the mouse either.
    maybe someone else has found a way to work with Opacity Masks, I haven't.
    as a side note, there's no need to select the objects in order to size them or move them, you can just reference them. Also, there's no "Selected" object, change that to "selection".

    Telling us that you are using 11.1 helps. But it is far from a complete description of the environment. What edition of the database are you using? What options are installed? What Enterprise Manager packs are licensed? Is any of this changable? Could you license another option for the database or another pack for Enterprise Manager if that was necessary?
    What does it mean to you to "mask data"? Do you want to store the data on disk and then mask the data in the presentation layer when certain people query it (i.e. store the patient's social security number in the database but only present ***-**- and the last 4 digits to certain sets of employees)? Do you want to hide entire fields from certain people? Do you want to change the data stored in the database when you are refreshing a lower environment with production data? If so, do you need and/or want this process to be either determinisitic or reversable or both?

  • How to display a single dot in java?

    My teacher ask me to use digital differential analyzer(DDA) routine for rasterizing a line
    the problem is i can't use the drawLine() method,i only can draw a lot of dot
    so can somebody tell me how to display a single dot????
    thanks in advance

    In a loop, draw a line with very small difference in x1 and x2 (just a few pixels) so it looks like a dot. Or you can use a dot image and g.drawImage(..). You can also try g.fillOval(..) or fillArc(..)

  • How to make a curve dotted line

    Hi there,
    Since now 2 days I am trying to figure out how to make a curve dotted line with photoshop CS3 on WinXP. I know how to make a strait line using the line tool.
    Now, how to make a curve line ? I tried the pen tool, but it ended up with a filled shape rather than with a curve line
    How to set the thickness of this curve ?
    How to make a dotted curve ?
    Of course, I don't want to use hand-drawings with the brush.
    Thanks a lot for your help,
    Alex_pier

    Used the Pen tool, but click on the correct icon on the top left on the Options Bar. That way you can get a Path instead of a Shape Layer.
    Once you have your Path you can stroke it with a Brush or any drawing tool. Various options appear in the Brushes palette. For a dotted line you will need to increase the spacing. If you want dashes, use a square brush and set the Angle Jitter to Direction.
