How to Modify Order by clause of standard VO

Hi All,
I want to modify orderby clause of standard VO. I extended the VO and modified the order by clause. But it did not workout.
Anybody worked on this kind of requirement?
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

My goal is to have a search form and results combination that:
1) allows the user to ignore any of the page’s existing search fields that
they don’t need, (to search with empty form fields);
2) to use whichever search form fields they choose to use even if the
Registrant for whom they are searching did not insert that information when
they registered, (they are filled in the search form but empty in the
database table);
3) and to permit some of the seach fields to search multiple columns, for
example the search form field ‘sonsName’ would look for that information in
three different database table colums, (sonsName1, sonsName2 etc.).
You’ve given me code that permits 1) above to work beautifully. You’ve also
sent along code that should let me accomplish the other two, and though I’ve
been able to recreate below what I want the multiple search column to do, I
can get neither the multiple column nor the IS NULL sections to work in the
code you sent most recently.

How to use "Order by" clause dynamically on LOV values in 10g r2 forms

Hi ,
I have following requirement,please guide me.
1 Create a List Of Values with 2 fields, Code and Description
2. Do not use order by clause in record Group Query
3. Attach this LOV to a field in Form
4. When user invokes the LOV user will see two fields in LOV with header as Code and Description
5. Now when user clicks on Column Header “Code” then LOV should be sorted on Code
6. And if User clicks on Column Header “Description” then LOV should be sorted on Description

How to modify a VAC in a standard FPM Application

I have a requirement in the project where I have to modify the standard SAP delivered FPM application. But this does not involve any creation of new webdynpro iview , but to modify a VAC in the application. It is related to essbensap.com, where I ahve to modify the VAC VcBenifitsPlanSelection.
Ploblem comes when I try to modify the implementation code of the view PlanSelectionView. It says:
Checkout is not possible. See below for details.
The operation requires the writeability of the following Objects:
View com.sap.xss.hr.ben.planselection.PlanSelectionView

How to modify the Generic Delta in Standard Data Source...?

We have one issue like all values are coming from customer master data data source 0CUST_COMPC_ATTR which is delta capable. Recently the functional guys done some modification on customer by remapping the field to sales rep. this will be impact on collector field (this is generic field - ZZ field). Now there will be frequent changes for collector field and the delta is not able to pick up the changed values in to BW system.
I have tried in different ways but not resolved finally i got some clue which as follows:
Data source 0CUST_COMPC_ATTR shows delta process as 'E' Unspecific Delta
Using Extractor (Not ODS-capable) in RSA2.
Now i would like to change the option to delta process to D unspecified delta using delta queue (not ODS-capable).
Can any one give advice me on this. Your help will be appreciated.

I am sorry for not mentioning the module on which i am working.
I am working on FI-CO extraction. I heard that In FI-CO the delta queue does not support because it won't support V3 Delta mechanism.
But any how i will try with ROOSOURCE and let you know the status of it.

How to use order by within Group by clause

Hi All,
I need a help as to how should i use the Order by clause so that the data should be in order with respect to one column, and at the same time whole data is grouped by some other column...like
Select RaceNo,Venue,FP,BP from Race group by RaceNo
Here I want to order by FP in ascending order for each group. When i am using it , whole order is changing.
Can anybody suggest me how to use order by clause that would apply to each group of data.

order by clause should be used at the last in any query.......but in group by clause u can't use use that becoz u group according to column then no ordering is needed there......if u want to filter something then u can use having clause and later if u need to arrange then u can use order by clause.........
i hope this eg.l gives u some clarification....

dding fields to standard Infotype
SAP allows you to add additional fields to any standard Infotype.
Step 1
Using transaction PM01 chose the 'Enhance Infotype tab' and press the create 'All' button.
Step 2
The following screen will appear allowing you to enter the new fields you wish to add to the Infotype.
i.e. ZZSPINST and ZZBACS
Step 3
Once saved and activated the new fields will appear in the Infotype screen and database table (See below)

How to modify the layout and coding for 'RVORDER01' after copying ..

I am trying to modify standard script layout SALES ORDER for Quotation,
i.e. I had copied standard form 'RVORDER01' to 'ZBAT_RVORDER01'.
and now I am trying to compress the information box. But no box in the layout was selecting while trying to resize it. Can any one help in this issue.

GOTO SE71, and give the form name as 'ZBAT_RVORDER01' and Language as DE, try to compress the box according to your requirement, save activate and return to SE71, now change the language to EN, you will see the compressed window in EN.
The casue of your problem is the original language is in DE so window changes, character formats etc can be done in DE language or change original language to english,
TO change original language to EN, SE71 ,FOrm name Language DE click change, goto utilities--> change Language.

How to change the order by clause of a standard VO in OAF

Hi All,
I need to change only the order by clause of a standard VO (Which is attached to a messageChoice item).
Steps followed:
1)Created a custom VO by extending the standard VO .
2)VO Impl class files are not generated as seeded VO has no such class files.
3)Created a substitution
4)Imported it
5)When I try access the specific page, getting Sys Admin error without any clue about the error.
Even I tried to create the custom VO without extending the std VO ,
Still getting the same error .
Please provide your suggestions on this.

When I set the FND:Diagnostics profile option , I could see what was the exact error . It was SQL Wrapper exception error.
The VO which is extended , has a dynamic where clause with bind variables. The binding style of the extended VO does not match with seeded VO. It works when the binding style is changed.

I had a requirement to insert the data in the asc order, So how we can modify the LKM for using the order by caluse.

Hi Rajeev,
It is IDEAL to change your IKM knonwledge module instead of LKM to load into the target table with order by clause.
This is because, if you add order by clause in LKM, it extracts data from source with order by clause first and loads into ODI work tables intially. From these work tables data will be loaded into target tables. In this step we are not sure if the the data is going to be loaded in the same order.
Coming to your question, follow the below steps.
1. Import IKM knowledge module depending on your technology. For example "IKM Oracle Incremental Update (MERGE)".
2. Double click on the IKM to change the definition name, to just make you aware that IKM has been customised.
3. Go to the details tab in IKM after double click, double click on the step which inserts from I$ table to final target table. In my case the step name is "Merge Rows".
4. You can modify the second line
from
using <%=odiRef.getTable("L", "INT_NAME", "A")%> S
to
using (select * from <%=odiRef.getTable("L", "INT_NAME", "A")%> order by 1) S
5. Note that above step will sort always based on the first column. You can modify depending on your requirement.
6. Save it and you can view respective sql statements generated from operator.

How do I modify the WHERE clause in my SQL query?

This seems like such a straight-forward part of the report design, but I'm fairly new to Crystal Reports and I only have experience with modifying reports someone else has already written. In this particular case, I just need to modify the WHERE clause of the SQL query. I can select Show SQL Query and see what statement is being used to select data, but I can't find where to modify it since it's grayed out. I see how to change the selection criteria, parameters, grouping, etc...just not the WHERE clause. The report is linked to a database used for reporting with a table created and populated by a stored procedure. I don't need to modify the stored procedure because the data I want to filter by is currently in the table--I just don't know how to filter by what I need. Here's part of the query:

1.Open the report in the crystal designer
2.Go to the field explorer(if hidden go to view menu->field explorer)
3.Rt. click on the database fields->choose database expert
4.Now you will see 2 columns-Available DataSource and Selected Tables
5.Rt. click on the object(ex.command) available in the Selected Tables column->Choose Edit command
6.A new Modify Command window will appear,here you can edit your SQL Query
I get to step 4 and I see the two columns including my database and the report table, but there is no command object available. If I right-click on my table, I can just view the Properties. ??
As for the other tip to modify the record selection: I don't see anywhere the other crewid values are set and if I add the one I'm missing, it doesn't modify the existing SQL Query and when I preview the report it throws off the results so that no data displays??
I'm using Crystal Reports 11.5 if that makes a difference. Thanks again.

I Created Information Templates to capture extra information to suit our business needs. But i dont know how to get populate those information into Standard Purchase order docuemnt. After Some research I found that we have to customize the PO_STANDARD_XSLFO.xsl. But i did not get how to get those information.

Since, i needed the Manufacturer Serial no. to be fetched in custom field at item level ( Enhanced via EEWB the item ) , the moment there is a product available in the sales doc header field.
I wrote badi implementation for definition : CRM_ORDERADM_I_BADI and utilized method : CRM_ORDERADM_I_PRODUCT_DETERM . This method's signature if you check makes me available the header, item guids along with the product available in the field even before i save the sales document. There i fetch the serial number of product from custom table and then poulate the serial no. field in customer_i extension as follows:
