How to omit trace statements

Hello,
is the -omit-trace-statements compiler's option still suposed to work in AIR3.8 and ASC2? I can still see traces of my release build in Scout so it looks it's not removing anything.

Hi, did you ever find a way to do this? My release builds are free of traces but I would like to be able to debug on mobile with traces off sometimes. I've tried various compiler options without success.

Can't get trace statements omitted from SWC

I'm trying to create a component. I'm using Flash CS4 and AS2.
I've been using trace statements while developing and now I want
to deliver it, without trace statements. I went to the Publish Settings
and checked Omit trace actions and unchecked Permit debugging.
I then exported the SWC, restarted Flash, put the component into
a new FLA and I still get trace statements.
How do I omit trace statements from a SWC?

My mistake. The Global variable "Path to configuration file" points to "D:\data\configured.scf". I set that as a constant in the original vi now, so that it is more self-contained now.

No, that is incorrect, the red ones show only the ones which need several hundret milliseconds in one execution. This can even be correct for hard tasks. And there are lots of problem, which you will not see

Go to 'Tracelist' -> Summarize by SQL statements', this is the view which you want to see!
I summarizes all executions of the same statement.
There are even the checks explained, the slow ones are the one which need a lot of time per record!
See MinTime/Rec > 10.000 microseconds.
Check all number of records, executions, buffer, identicals.
The SE30 Tipps and Tricks will not help much.

How do I set "Omit Trace Action" when publishing to SWF?

I would like my SWF files to be published with the "Omit Trace Action" set to true, but there doesn't seem to be a way to set this via Captivate. Anyone have an idea?

I am not an expert with Flash. But going by what Trace Actions do is it checks the value of variable and displays it, in output pane. You can omit it by checking that 'Omit Trace Action' in Flash publish settings. In Captivate, I believe this would not be a case, because you would not be creating your custom objects but using the standard ones from the Library.
So, I guess you can say, Trace Actions would always be omitted from the output.

I've got a set of SWFs called from a web site. Info security here at my company does webscans to look for potential theats and found the following issue.
Debug Messaging
Summary:
An indication that the trace() function is being utilized was detected due to the presence of debug messaging. This can represent a serious security concern as path names and other information can be revealed. Recommendations include removing all debugging messaging from the application code before it is placed on production servers.
Implication:
The trace() function is used to record programming notes or to display messages in the Output window while testing a movie.
When left in production code, attackers can discover information which can lead to more severe attacks.

When creating applications, it is a best practice to remove all debug code from the final production releases. This is also a best practice for developing SWF applications. The Omit Trace Actions flag in Flash development environments tells the compiler to remove any trace commands when creating the compiled SWF file. This will make the published SWF smaller and it will remove any excess information or actions from the SWF.
So I guess my question is....is there any way to set 'Omit Trace Actions?' to True in Xcelsius, as you can apparently do in Flex?

Same thing happend to me, suddenly trace stopt working, some sort of bug i believe
how it occured i don't know, if added a new SDK, all worked perfect, 2 days later, it just
stopped tracing.
How i solved it?
i've added the compiler argument (-compiler.debug=true) to the Compiler options of the project.
In my case it's tracing again

How to omit the report column in pdf-print?

I have a column with html code (a link to another web-page). The html draws a button with redirection to a specific link. In the properties of that column I set an "html" format, so the code executes and the desired button appears... but! When I print this report (using printer friendly option PDF) it shows me the html code of the button, but not the button itself. So the question is:
a) how to omit specific column from a PDF?
OR
b) how to push OBI showing the button (not the html code)?

My problem is that I'm working with the free version of Form Central - I'm willing to purchase a version. Earlier in my form I have States as a drop down menu (see below) but can't copy it to make it appear later in the same document. I was trying to avoid recreating the entire form. Any tips on copying or duplicating a field inside a document.

PERFORM key work is used to include subroutine in sapscript form...
But the processing is lttle bit different form the one we use in ABAP.
Here the paramters passed to form is stored in internal table of name-value table. there are two table one for inbound parameter and other for outbound parameters.
Check out the example below to see how this is used..

execute rstxdbug to activate script debugger...once the driver program reaches open_form, a popup box will come where u can mention the name of a command, call functinon, text element, etc to place a break point...once it gets into the debugging mode, double click on any line to set a break point, after that pressing f8 will get you to that line

How do you trace a Cocao event/message? For example, how do you follow a touch event on a UITableView cell on the iPhone screen up to the tabbleView:didSelectRowAtIndexPath: callback of a UITableViewController based class?
If I put a breakpoint in the tabbleView:didSelectRowAtIndexPath: callback I can see a call stack. How can I put breakpoint within the Cocoa/Core/Library stuff ? It seems like I can only see source code for either bottom end ( int main(int argc, char *argv[]) or top end ( didSelectRowAtIndexPath ... ) It does not seem possible to put a breakpoint on th Cocoa/core/library functions in in between.
I did figured out I could add breakpoints for something like the global 'sendEvent' but that is quite low level and still pretty far from an actual target object. How can I trace objects in between?

How to maintain a state in webdynpro?

I have one node and some value attributes(dynamic attributes) in this node.
I am using these dynamic attributes in wdDoModifyView() to customize my table.I am setting the customisation properties in the Customization view and when I click "OK",the table is getting changed in the Table view.Everything is working fine.But when I again try to customize the table ,I open the Customization view ,the previously modified changes are not there in the Customization view .Customization view is not holding the state.Its getting reset.
Please suggest me how to retain the state.

I did it in the same way.I created the node in the component controller and maped it with the the two views (Table View and Customization View).The first time when I customize,its working.But next time when I open the Customize view,Customize view not holding the previous state.
Do i need to do any setting in the Node property?

I want to know how to use "Trace" in Java Platform Debugger Architecture.
Trace displays traces of program execution.
how to invoke it?
Trace can be invoked as follows:
java Trace options class args
what in front of me is I set envoriment variant and system variant by windows 2000 pro control panel by set: "CLASSPATH", in variant name and �E:\Java\jdk1.5.0_06\lib\tools.jar� in variant value.
But while I use
jave Trace -help myclass
(this myclass.class is working by "java myclass")
there is:
"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Trace"
in the screen.
Please help me by this function though Sun said it is easier than jdb.

You have to create stored procedure in SQL only .
Like u must have create for Crystal .
You can execute procedure in query manager but you have to enter parameter manually..
