While you can access the OLE objects in C#.NET, the JSObject was designed as a bridge to VB.NET. Since the real power of what you can do with Acrobat automation comes from the JSObject, it would be very difficult to do that you want from C#.NET - or you would at least be limited in what you can do beyond basic functionality.
Also, a full version of Adobe Acrobat Standard or Professional would need to be installed on each client system. Reader will not work for what you want to do. Each end user running your application will require an installation of Acrobat.

The customers and orders form modules

Please,i am new to oracle forms.I have been reading a book on forms ,but the book uses two form modules created by Oracle for demo purposes, the Customer and Orders form modules.I need to access and open these form modules from my form builder.I have not been able to figure out how to do that.Please how can i open the customers and orders module from form builder.
I will appreciate any help.

Assuming you have the .FMB files stored on your hard drive, you can simply double-click on them or use File -> Open in Forms Builder.

Open Quotations and Open Items

Hello Experts,
Can you tell me what are open quotations and open items? And in what scenario they are used?

Open quotations are those on which no orders or reference documents have been created so far.
Open quotations can be seen in VA15 tcode
Open quotations is a term which is applicable for the whoel document.
On the otherhand, there will be some documents where reference documents are created for some items, while for other items no reference documents are created
For example lets say a quotation has ItemA and Item B, both having 5quantities,
On this an order is created for ItemA only for 5quantities.
Now the quotation is in Partly completed status
Item A willbe in Complete status
Item B will be in Open status.

Replication of quotation and order from CRM to ECC

Hi experts,
We are trying to replicate a quotation and order created in CRM to ECC. We have maintained the same transaction types and item categories in both ECC and CRM. Is there anything else that is required to be done for proper replication??
Now while trying to replicate, we are getting this error: "Partners from account group 0005 are not permitted for partner function BP (Notification E VPD 000)"
How to solve this??

We maintained Partners from account group 0005 for partner function BP. Now we are again getting these errors:
u2022     Account Assigment Object Successfully Assigned to Item 0000000010 (Notification S C( 312)
u2022     SALES_HEADER_IN has been processed successfully (Notification S V4 233)
u2022     The sales document is not yet complete: Edit data (Notification W V1 555)
u2022     Sales document 0005000080 was not changed (Notification E V4 219)
u2022     Status "Obsolete status" of material 101123900 does not allow external procurement (Notification E ME 053)
u2022     Error in SALES_ITEM_IN 000010 (Notification E V4 248)
Is there any place where we can check the notifications??

This was so annoying!! It took me a good couple of hours but i figured it out, you need to do the following: Go to the folder where you saved the download (in my case i saved it in My Downloads) -> click on 'Adobe Photoshop Elements 12' -> click on 'PSE 12' -> click on 'Setup' (select the icon which is a box with a shield) -> follow instructions and....voila! You will need to restart when it suggests so save anything else first, then when it reboots you should see the icon on your desktop....hpe this helps!

Hi Gurprit,
A null value is being passed at runtime. Make sure that you enter values when filling in the form.
Also check for the cardinality of the nodes being used. You can also initiliaze your value attributes as follows:
In wdDoInit() method:
wdContext.currentNodeAElement.setValueA("");
Context is as follows:

How to dynamically call and order program modules

Hey guys,
I have ‘x’ pieces of code (x could be 10’s or 100’s of modules).
I need to be able to dynamically call and run ‘y’ of them, but I need to be able to do it in parallel, and some of them might be in order.
For instance ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ need to run in parallel,
but 'D' needs data from 'A' and will run after 'A',
and 'E' needs to run after ‘D’,
and ‘F’ needs data from 'C' and will to run after ‘C’
So I have two questions.
How should I organize and order these dynamic calls?
and What method should I use to pass data along from one VI to another?

I dont think so OPEN_FORM will work out here.
If we want to call new form/open form insted of using call_form / open_form/ New _form
we need to use FND_FUNCTION.EXECUTE which allows you to open forms without bypassing Oracle Applications security, and takes care of finding the
correct directory path for the form.
here FND_FUNCTION.EXECUTE is similar to APP_NAVIGATE.EXECUTE,
except that APP_NAVIGATE.EXECUTE allows a form to be restarted if
it is invoked a second time.
So in the parameters of FND_FUNCTION.EXECUTE,
open_flag indiacates Y/N.
’Y’ indicates that OPEN_FORM should be used;
’N’ indicates that NEW_FORM should be used.
You should always pass ’Y’ for open_flag, which
means to execute the function using the Oracle
Forms OPEN_FORM built–in rather than the
NEW_FORM built–in

I have a button on an order form that im trying to open the customer form from i am using the code:

i get the following error msg:
FRM-40010: cannot read form Customer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also i am going to develop a log on screen that will validate a user name and password but cannot find any info on this. Any links or tips would be great!

Please ask your logon question in a separate thread.
The "cannot read form" message means Forms cannot find the file named Customer.fmx in the path where it expects to find the form. If you are running on a unix system, the file name must match upper or lower-case exactly, as well.

How can i get the order form to display only those fields selected by user?

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbee so please bear with me.
I would like to create an interactive form in a multi-page format. I would like to display our fifty odd products, divided into 5 different categories. The client browses through these pages then selects those that he wants to buy.
The interactive order form at the end should display only the client’s choices along with the Total purchase order.
In short, a little like a on-line catalogue and cart/basket that we see while buying online.
Now, I've created my pdf brochure, and I have the order form on page 12-13 at the end with the subtotal, Vat and Total ...all that's fine. My only problem is I want the order form to display only those items selected by the user and not the entire list of items as shown in my current order form.

The poster already posted at the Acrobat Users Community, Interactive Forms that sums up a client order from catalog. The sample form posted to Acrobat.com was a revision of the sample form that came with Acrobat 4.0. There are some fairly advance scripts, templates, and document level functions involved with this form.
