How to order FTTP on Demand when availability chec...

Hi all.
If i go to: http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl and enter my phone number the results say that FTTP on Demand is now available for my line.
I have braced myself for costly install, and whilst i dont need 330Mbps more than my current 3Mbps would be brilliant!
My question is - how on earth do i order it?

What I think has happened is that Openreach and BT Wholesale have made the "FTTP on Demand" (FTTPoD) service/product available to the ISPs/Communication Providers.
To qualify for the product, I think your line has to be connected to a pcp (Cabinet) that is linked to a FTTC (DSLAM) cabinet. Your exchange also needs to be "FTTP on Demand" ready too.
In your case it looks like your exchange is "FTTP on Demand" ready, but there is no mention of WBC FTTC for your cabinet (pcp) 2, which may mean you are unable to get "FTTP on Demand" at this current time.
However saying that, I don't think BT Retail (a communication provider) has a dedicated FTTPoD fibre product. Though they do have a FTTP fibre product which may trigger a "FTTP on Demand" service if FTTPoD is available to you.
The FTTP broadband service can be order by going to www.bt.com/160mb
Also bear in mind that the FTTPoD service will be very expensive to install and you may have to cover the costs depending on the agreement with Openreach, BT Wholesale and the ISP In this case BT Retail.

OK, this is a "stab in the dark" about what you're experiencing, but take a look at this: First, note the order you wish the columns to appear when doing a drilldown. Now, when you drill down, note which columns appear first (leftmost) as compared to the other columns that seem to not appear in the proper order. When the disorder appears, are there data in the left columns and no data in the columns towards the right? Here's what it seems OBI does (at least in my experience).
If all the columns have data, the order in the drilldown will appear as expected. Let's say you have 15 columns. (There's a reason I chose this many columns.) What happens if columns 1 -5 (in your sort order) have no data, but column 6 does? OBI will put that column first at the far left. If then columns 7-9, say, have no data, but column 10 does, then column 10 will appear second. If columns 11- 15 have data, then the final order will be: 6, 10, 11- 15, 1-5, 7-9.
As long as there are some sort of data, the column will appear in the proper order. But if a column has no data, then a column that does takes precedence. Why this behavior?
Suppose that of the 15 columns, only column 15 had data. The number of columns would make the report very wide. Would the user wish to scroll all the way to the right just to see the one column of data? Instead, it will be column 1 with columns 2-14 following. The user would then be able to see the column with data without having to scroll. If they understood this behavior, they would know that if column 15 is appearing first, there is no need to scroll to the right.
Again, this is my experience and it seems to explain it. (I, too, pulled my hair in frustration trying to figure this out). See if this applies to you and let me know.
Note: The "strange" behavior appears at the lowest level drilldown. It seems to maintain the proper level at higher levels. (So in my experience, I drill from region>branch>details and it is in the detail level that I get the column disorder.)

How to connect to wifi automatically when available?

Hello users, I have a 8510 Curve and use 3G most day, but I want it to automatically connect to Wifi when I am at home, and disconnect 3G. How can I do it?

I have the curve 8520 but I think the settings should be the same. Go to manage connections, then select mobile network options. From there you should see 'connection preference'. Choose WIFI preferred then save. It should automatically connect to your home WIFI.

What is the attraction of FTTPoD for you ? Have you considered bonding multiple FTTC lines as that would be much cheaper.

Creative Zen - how to order playlis

I just got the new creative zen but I can't figure out how to order the playlists. When I create a new one, it orders it alphabetically. In media explorer, if I drag/drop it to a new place, it doesn't fall into the new position, it adds all the songs from that playlist to the one I just dropped it on. It never "fits" in between the other playlists.

That is a myth. For lower bitratrate files, such as 6 kbps or 32 kbps, WMA files will sound a bit better than mp3 files at the same bitrate. Files at such low bitrates are typically lectures and podcasts, and not music. Music files are usually 28 kbps and up. At
those bitrates, there is little quality difference between WMA and MP3 files at the same bitrate. WMA files do take more processor power to decode though, so expect shorter battery life when playing WMA files rather than mp3 files. Furthermore, recompressing files that are already compressed will result in lower sound quality. For example, if you have some mp3 files at 256 kbps and want them on your player at 60 kbps to save space, you should make the 60 kbps mp3 files from the CD, and not from the 256 kbps mp3 files if you want the 60 kbps mp3 files to be the best quality they can be.

Hi Daniele,
Need your help to clear COGI Error.
Actually some how for one process order, two confirmation happened.
Scene 1 : When first time did confirmation then automatically without any error display came process order saved but all goods movement failed.
Scene 2 : Then for the same without checking COGI error, did second confirmation and then it worked perfectly. Process order got saved without any fail.
Scene 3: When doing TECO its showing Post processing Error.
So checked by COOISPI and found two confiramtion done for one process order.
Now when doing COGI the FERT movement is not happening. Its showing deficit of stock. But smae stock is available in MMBE.
Pls help me in resolving the same.

I work with an Inventory module software and is responsible for software detection across several computers. Once an updated version comes up, I update our database with latest software details to get it detected if installed on any machines.
The problem tracking updates with Desktop Creative Cloud Software are;
1)We have to have it installed with the CC applications in-order to get the notification of the latest updates and have to check everyday.
2)Only relates to the latest updates, so in-between we may miss a prior update unknowingly.Hence, the remote machines having those updates may not get detected with the software version update which would create problem in reporting.
3)For all CC products, there is no base or previous updates available for installation if we miss one.
I went through the Adobe Products Update pages [Product updates] which holds good when it comes to Acrobat and Reader software which I follow to track down any newer updates but this is inconsistent when it comes to CC products like in After Effects CC, Dreamweaver CC etc...
So overall to be very specific, is there any one channel I can follow to get the notifications only for the updates on CC products and then may be I can rely on Desktop Creative Cloud for installation if not available anywhere like in product update pages of Adobe ?

You should never, EVER let a conputer hard drive get completely full, EVER!
With Macs and OS X, you shouldn't let the hard drive get below 15 GBs or less of free data space.
If it does, it's time for some hard drive housecleaning.
Follow some of my tips for cleaning out, deleting and archiving data from your Mac's internal hard drive.
Have you emptied your Mac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you store images in other locations other than iPhoto, then you will have to weed through these to determine what to archive and what to delete.
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive to disc, flash drives or external hard drive, older emails you want to save.
Look through your other Mailboxes and other Mail categories to see If there is other mail you can archive and/or delete.
Other things you can do to gain space.
Once you have around 15 GBs regained, do a search, download and install OmniDisk Sweeper.
This app will help you locate files that you can move/archive and/or delete from your system.
STAY AWAY FROM DELETING ANY FILES FROM OS X SYSTEM FOLDER!
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive to disc, flash drives, ext. hard drives or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Look in your Applications folder, if you have applications you haven't used in a long time, if the app doesn't have a dedicated uninstaller, then you can simply drag it into the OS X Trash icon. IF the application has an uninstaller app, then use it to completely delete the app from your Mac.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it do its initial automatic tests, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run the maintenance tabs that let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be archived or moved, also, to the optical discs, flash drives or external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.

Having arranged some scanned pictures in an album in I-Photo how can I keep them in the order I have chosen when I move the album. They all have the scan date and not the taken date and move to new positions if I move them from one album to another.

I was a bit short, Chris, sorry. It is limited, what can be posted, when typing on an iPad.
Now I am back on my Mac. I meant the following: Batch Change the date for a large range of photos, that should have a date stepped in increments.
Select all Photos at once and use the command "Photos > Batch Change".
Then set the date for the first photo and select an increment, e.g. one minute.
Now all photos will get a new date assigned, incremented by one minute, in the sequence you have selected. So you will be able to sort them by date. This way it will be unnecessary to change the titles or filenames.

I'm getting a similar problem with my Macbook Pro. itunes match was working fine until two days ago when i created another 'user id' for the laptop and then an itunes account for that user under their profile. Now i cant turn on itunes match on my itunes under my user account. Contacted Apple today who said to use the Express Lane and email the problem and they might be able to make an 'exception' on the account. Otherwise I'll have to wait 88 days to access a lot of my music on the macbook pro. itunes match is still working on the iphone 4S and ipad2.
Can anyone help? The only thought was too re-stream the laptop. Ive already tried deauthorising the other user but it made no difference.

I understand that if we prefix all files with leading zero's this will probably resolve the issue but I just wondered if anyone new the answer. The ironic situation is that version 6 has no problem.

It is not clear how you are trying to do the order. Have you tried to select a set of files and then use the arrow buttons to move them in the list? If you select the heading, that will typically reorder the files by that heading and undo everything you had done before.
You should be able to select groups of files and move them up and down in the list. All of those options appear on your view, so what is the real question?

You cannot pair the iPad and iPhone . The bluetooth can only be paired with bluetooth accessories
