How to pack material (linked to a delivery) with BAPI_SHIPMENT_CHANGE ?

Hello All,
i would like to pack material into Handling Unit with the BAPI_SHIPMENT_CHANGE like in transaction VT02N
i have created my shipment with BAPi_SHIPMENT_CREATE : i see material with delivery reference in part of screen
"Material to ba packed" and my Handling Unit in part of screen "All existing Hus available for packing".
i want to pack the material into the Handling Unit but i don't know how to fill BAPI_SHIPMENT_CHANGE to pack the material.
is it possible with this bapi ?

i think i make a mistake when i fill the tables :
i 'm going to try again but with which values have i to fill the actions table ? (i think i have to fill alsot these two tables :
IT_HUN_HDR_ACTION
IT_HUN_ITM_ACTION
and i don't understand the difference between these fields in table HDUNITEM ?
HDL_UNIT_INTO and HDL_UNIT_NO
HDL_UNIT_EXID_INTO and HDL_UNIT_EXID ?
i don't find a field like VEPO-VEPOS in table HDUNITEM ?

Packing handling units to outbound delivery with batch management

Hello all,
I am packing an outbound delivery with a material that has batch management active. The packing is from a storage location that manages handling units (HU-managed sloc).
My problem is u2013 before entering the HUs to the delivery u2013 the system asks me to enter the batches (in the batch split function). Only then I am allowed to enter the HUs in the packing function.
What could be the reason for this preliminary batch entries ?
How can I set the system not to do that, i.e., I would like to be able to enter the HUs directly without entering the batchs separately.

Dear Isaac,
this system behaviour can not be changed in standard and is also not recommended to change it via a modification. The reason for this system behaviour is to avoid inconsistencies in the system. The HU that you assign to the delivery, should exactly fit to the delivery. In case if the material is batch managed, you should specify the batch first, and then add the fitting HU with exactly that batch.
I suppose you checked the longtext for HUDIALOG102, that you get in the described case, but I copy it for you, in case if you did not read it:
"Diagnosis
There are items to be handled in batches which have not yet been
assigned to a batch.
Batches must be recognized for items with HU-managed storage location
For items at a storage location that is not HU-managed, the item type
determines if packing will take place at cumulated item quantity level
(meaning that the batch is not recognized at any point in the handling
unit) or if packing must take place at batch level.
System Response
If an item requires batch identification, that item will not be
suggested for packing as long as the batch is not recognized.
Procedure
Go to the maintenance of the delivery item and assign at least one batch
to the item."

SD-How to find table link of special delivery and sales order number?

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement as below.
In LIPS table (SD document: Delivery: Item data), in this table has one kind data.
One record has maintianed 2 fields PSPNR(Project definition (internal)) and PS_PSP_PNR(Work Breakdown Structure Element (WBS Element)).
How to find sales order number of the above record? Could you tell me which table link the delivery item data and sales order number?

How to create dynamic links in one page with div panels

HI
I am using Dreamweaver CS3 with developer toolbox.
I have a PHP page where I have two separated tabbed div
panels.
I want to show dynamic summary of data from database in one
panel.
In the other panel I have a table with dynamic text.
I want to click on a link in the first panel with the summary
data and see the whole record in the other panel table.
How do I tell the dynamic link to send the wuery and show the
data in the detailed panel without having to reload the whole page.

How to create lower-level item for delivery with TO confirmation.

Hi Gurus,
I am writing batch to the delivery item after confirming the Transfer Order. According to the TO quantity, SAP splits the items and makes a "Lower-Level" item.
SAP does that splitting if the TO quantity is lower that the delivery item quantity.
What i want is that, i need SAP to create a lower-level item even if the TO corresponds the delivery quantity.
Is there a customizing for that?

That is a standard behavior where the line split occurs in the delivery when the delivery quantity is not equal to picked quantity. Since, the header line indicates the remainder of the quantity in case of short pick. This behavior also occurs when you are writing multiple batches despite the delivery quantity equals to the picking quantity.
Essentially, you'd see a single line when there a full pick and a single batch. If you still want to get this split then you can pick the batch in the delivery via 'batch split' (so that the line item is created) and then create a TO.

Packing material in inbound delivery - intercompagny process with SPED

Hi,
I am processing intercompany stock transfer using SPED functionality, with automatic creation of inbound delivery.
Using HUM and WM storage location managed, I would like to add automatic packing material items in inbound delivery.
What I did already check:
1. there is a plant in HU (packing material type in transaction VHAR; plant determination: B).
2. there is an item category in HU (transaction 0184; following entry: EL / "blank" / PACK / / ELP -> Inbound delivery type EL, packing material has general item category group "blank" , then I expect item cat ELP in inbound delivery).
With these settings, automatic creation of inbound delivery does not work anymore: output SPED failed. Error message is VN056:
"Processing log for program /SPE/STO_ID_PROCESSING routine STO_ID_CREATION". When I check output analysis, it is mentioned for SPED : "Output ignored (requirement 408 not fulfilled)".
I also tried with following setting:
transaction 0184; delete previous setting; add following entry: EL / VERP / PACK / / ELP -> Inbound delivery type EL, packing material with general item category group VERP.
In that case, automatic inbound delivery creation OK but no packing material in it.
Any idea to help me?

A few years ago I got some help that got some Inbound delivery functionality working, but it was never put into production.
1. Receiving storage location specified on the STO.
2. Receiving points set up in the receiving plant: IMG > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Shipping Point & Goods Receiving Point Determination > Assign Goods Receiving Points for Inbound Deliveries.
3. On packaging material to be used the assigned packaging material group should coincide with the IMG setting of the packaging material type assigned to the packaging material group.
4. Assigned movement type 101 to the DIGN item category: IMG > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Deliveries > Define Item Categories for Deliveries
Other settings but not mandatory
1. In delivery copying control assigned source NL to target DIG: IMG > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Deliveries > Copying Control > Specify Copy Control for Deliveries > Define Item Categories for Deliveries
2. Make packing control mandatory for item category DIGN: IMG > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Deliveries > Packing > Packing Control by Item Category
3. HUM Required for Plant/Storage Location: IMG > Logistics General > Handling Unit Mgmt > Basics > Technical Basics > Materials Mgmt > Inventory Mgmt > HU Requirement for Storage Locations
In our process the HU was already created in the Outbound delivery for the STO. These HU were then copied to the Inbound delivery. It still works in our DEV client, but it's not being used. Hope it helps.

          I created a packing material and activated batch managemnt with shelf life.
            At the time of GR the batch should be created automatically or if i want to create a batch manually for some materials how to do it in the system.
                     Help me

Before going ahead with the batch creation,
you need to activate the batch mngmnt level (i.e.Client,plant,material level)
And also activate the Nor.ranges.
Then Create the Classification,Characteristics and assign the Chrctstics to Class.
Then create the batch

CT04 create Char.
CL02-Create Class
CL24N:Assign class to material
MSC1N:Create Batch

Packing is done during Delivery.
In Sales order also Packing function is available but as a Packing proposal.
So actual packing is done in Delivery.
When you process several sales orders together, the sales order items having same Ship-to-party, Shipping point, Route, Delivery due date & Incoterm are combined into one Delivery in the standard system.
In the delivery overview screen,do the picking by subsequent function rom the menu bar, you will get a button "PACK", click on this system will take you to the packing screen.
In the packing screen, give the packaging mterial number, select the materials to be packed, select the packaging material also and the click on the "PACK" button.

User is going to pack mateiral in the delivery
Material qty is say 10000 kg having 20 Batches of 500 kg each.
But User want to pack 800 kg per Pallet [packaging material]

How to inventory packing material on Handling Units frm Inbound Del @ PO?

I am receiving raw material against a PO via VL31N, where I pack into handling units. When I post GR for this inbound delivery, the Raw Material is getting a 101 but the packaging material is not being considered. Is there a way I can get the packaging material into inventory? I did verify the following settings as suggested in a different post here and yet the Packing materials are not considered. Any help is appreciated.
1. there is a plant in your HU (you can control this in your packing material type in transaction VHAR; set plant determination either to A or B).
2. there is an item category in your HU (you can control this in transaction 0184; create the following entry: EL / VERP / PACK / / ELP. If you now create an inbound delivery type EL and your packing material has item category group VERP the system will assign item category ELP to your HU.
If both requirements are met the system will generate an item in your inbound delivery after packing.
Then make sure that the item category of the HU (ELP for example) has movement type 501 assigned to it in transaction 0VLP.
If you then post the GR for your inbound delivery, the packing material will be posted on stock.

HOW TO PACK THE MATERIAL

my problem is,
i had created one packing material handling unit and i have maintain warehouse management.
i had created sales order VA01, outbount delivery VLO1N and transfer orderLT03.
After TOD(Transfer Order) i had been going to VL02N in outbound delivery i had been doing in PGI SOME ERROR SHOWN i.e
1. DELIVERY HAS NOT YET BEEN COMPLETELY PROCESSED BY WH
When i am doing vl02n CLICK ON PACK ICON i had shown in one screen i.e handling units packing materials after I HAD DONE AUTOMATIC PACKING ICON IN TOP RED BUTTON shown one message
there is no packe material. When i was back in showing one message ITEMS IN HU-MANAGED STORAGE LOCATION MUST BE PACKED.
MY PROBLEM IS I WANT TO PACK THE MATERIAL TO HANDLING UNITS PLS GIVE ME SUGGESTION.

Hi, As described by Ramesh the process will follow. However, for packing the materials you need to check in customizing what packaging materials are allowed for the packaging material group for the material in the delivery. The packaging material group for the said material can be found in Material master view Basic data1 under the tab packaging material data. Then go to SPRO-IMG-logistics execution-shipping-packing-define allowed packing material-execute and check which all packaging materials are allowed for the packaging material group. go to your delivery and packing symbol then tab pack material. in the column packing material enter the allowed material in which you want to pack. then use the pack symbol to pack the material and save the delivery. after that the next process will continue.

Packing Material delivery item should not be send via EDI

Hello experts,
I am having a problem with a cross company process. One plant uses the automatic delivery item generation of packing material because they want to have them in stock. But the receiving plant does not have them in stock. So, what we did, we created new packing materials for example 8500 and 1500 for a euro palett.
And on the EDI server we swith the packing material of the HU from 8500 to 1500, which works well.
But the problem is the delivery item of the packing material which should not be adviced to the receiving plant.
Do you know any User-Exit or customizing functionality in order to send only the real materials to the receiving plant?
I use the SPED message as well as DESADV Idocs where I need to cut the packing materials.

I come to know from thread you do not need packing item in your stock.We did similar kind of packing process in our system.
Our process also Cross company scenario .We have two SAP system .In one system they issue goods through an outbound delivery with packing information against SO.We will use the Goods issue information from other system to create Inbound delivery in other system.
In the EDI file they send to us Pallet and Carton information along with file .So what we did we have created two packing articles ,One for carton and other one Pallet and these Values are maintained in TVARV table.
We have used DESADV/DELVRY07 idoc to create inbound delivery.PI Creates the Inbound delivery Idoc with HU information from other system ,While posting the inbound delivery we used our packing articles to pack the Inbound delivery items.
