  • How to parse this specific text

    i am stucked in this crictical problem and i don't know how to cater this. I sometimes receive this String &#9658;&#9787;&#9786; and sometimes these are non US-ASCII characters. These &#9658;&#9787;&#9786; characters are replaced by ????? and is represented as it is. I sometime receive this character too. These characters are in ANSI list but i want to receive only US-ASCII. Please help me out that how to identify these characters in the string.

    They are undoubtedly hex. Download a hex editor and view the values to see if they make sense. If you simply want to strip out the alphanumeric characters, write a simple RegEx expression.

  • How to parse this textfile

    I have a plan textfiel that i'm able to read but i can't parse the date and numbers in the text file.
    text content: [ 2007.10.19 11:53:42 ] (test) <color=0xffbbbb00>Your item, costs 598.0 euro.
    i suppose i can use substring/tokenizer but my knowledge in the tokenizer is limited.
    Does anyone know how to parse the date and costs so i can show the total costs for an item?

    holy regex, batman! I definitely have to devote more time to regex. My mere mortal solution to some of the extractions went along these lines:
        private Color getColor(String text)
            Color c = null;
            String[] strArr = text.split("[<>]");
            // the forum mangles this  :(
            // it should have angle brackets inside of square brackets.
            String colorStr = strArr[1];
            colorStr = colorStr.substring(colorStr.indexOf("=") + 3);
            int[] colorInts = new int[4];
            for (int i = 0; i < colorInts.length; i++)
                String colorSubStr = colorStr.substring(2 * i, 2 * i + 2);
                colorInts[i] = Integer.parseInt(colorSubStr, 16);
            c = new Color(colorInts[0], colorInts[1], colorInts[2], colorInts[3]);
            return c;
        private Date getDate(String text)
            Date d = null;
            SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy.MM.dd HH:mm:ss");
            String[] dateStrArr = text.split("[\\[\\]]");
            String dateStr = dateStrArr[1].trim();
            try
                    d = sdf.parse(dateStr);
            catch (ParseException e)
                e.printStackTrace();
            return d;
        }I will definitely study your code mkoryak, thanks.

  • Can Someone Tell Me How to Do This Text Effect?

    Ok so this video has this text effect that I spent 2 days looking on how to do it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LATGUNnlUr8
    The text effect starts at 0:47-0:49
    I tried looking for plugins and etc but I just can't find any that do this or something similar to it! It would mean a lot if you could tell me how to do it ^^

    The text itself simply appears character by character.  The "Typewriter" animation preset will do the job.  Additionally, there's a spray of particles accompanying the text.  You could generate these with the CC Particl World plugin.  You'll need to match the floor of the effect to the floor of your shot/background.  Animate the location of the particle generator to match the locatio of the appearing text.  Finally, apply some Glow.

  • How to parse a text on a transition with OCL? is it possible ?

    Hi Everyone,
    I was just wondering if it is possible to put constraints between a transition on a state machine and a variable/attribute in a class diagram ? for example, to make sure if the user writes [X++] as a guard for a transition in state machine, the X attribute exists in the corresponding class diagram.
    Is it even possible with OCL? I think maybe it should be coded to parse the text... Any idea will be appreciated
    Thanks,
    Parsa

    Hi
    For OMG OCL, yes, since the capability is implied by the UML
    specification. However there are gaping chasms between the UML and OCL
    specifications, so any useable implementation relies on vendor intuition.
    For the new pivot-based Eclipse OCL, quite possibly. The UML support is
    primarily for Class Diagram elements, but is kind of extensible in so
    far as for unsupported UML elements, 'self' is aligned to the nearest
    containing Class. This works for statemachines, and could work for
    transitions. Activity diagrams are known to not work.

    Hi,
    I have to parse this type of xml file.
    so how can i parse this type of xml file like

    <Cell ID="1" Type="Number" >93</Cell>
    <Cell ID="2" Type="Number" >0</Cell>

  • I need to get the complete element including tag. How to parse this xml?

    I am sure there should be some solution to this. I have XML file like this
    <test>
    <data value="123" color="RED">
    <type>single</type>
    </data>
    <data value="13323" color="BLUE">
    <type>double</type>
    </data>
    </test>
    I need to parse this XML and get the data element(s). The problem is that I need to get the complete data element include tags like
    "<data value="123" color="RED"><type>single</type></data>". I need to parse the complete XML file and get every data element including tag and send it to another upstream process.
    Any solution to this will be appreciated. I am little familiar with SAX. Is there any solution around using xerces SAX parser.
    Other solution is also appreciated.
    Thanks

        DocumentBuilder builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
        document = builder.parse(srcFile);
        NodeList list = document.getElementsByTagName("data");
        Node node = list.item(0); // Loop this
        TransformerFactory tFactory = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
        Transformer transformer = tFactory.newTransformer();
        DOMSource source = new DOMSource(node);
        StreamResult result = new StreamResult(outputstream);

    Using XSLT will be lot easier.No it won't. Extending DefaultHandler is easy.Do you really think so?

    i'm thinking of using a database software such as sqlite.
    if this is the correct direction to go, can anyone show me some hints on how i should go about to accomplish this task ?
    thanks in advance

    after some digging

    i'll try it later
    but i'm still curious about doing this using sqlite and the SQL language
    like can i create a database from a formated text file? etc
    so anyone has some comments on this, you are still welcome

  • Any suggestions for how to make this text look amazing?

    Hey guys,
    I'm a newbie at photoshop and I've recently started learning to run this blog that I create called Cultural Facts of the Day.
    I am developing a graphic style for some of the stories that I post and I'm looking for advice on how to better some of the images on text. I have this one photo I am working on now. I'm using a Futura and gothic text, but I'm looking for inspiration or a tutorial on how to optimize text lay out on an image like this. I just want to put it out there that I am willing to pay for Skype tutorials if anyone wants to help me out!
    This is what I'm working with and what I have so far:
    My inspiration so far has been this Time article:

    If the only thing you need to do efficiently is appending an object to the end of file, then quick & dirty solution follows
    static void addObject(Object o,File f)throws IOException{
    RandomAccessFile raf=new RandomAccessFile(f);
    raf.seek(f.length());
    ObjectOutputStream out=new ObjectOutputStream(new RAFOutputStream(raf));
    out.write(obj);
    out.close();
    static Vector readAll(File f)throws IOException{
    ObjectInputStream in=new ObjectInputStream(new FileInputStream(f));
    Vector v=new Vector();
    Object obj;
    while((obj=in.readObject())!=null){
    v.addElement(obj);
    return v;
    class RAFOutputStream extends OutputStream{
    private RandomAccessFile raf;
    RAFOutputStream(RandomAccessFile raf){
    this.raf=raf;
    public void write(int b)throws IOException{
    raf.write(b);
    public void close()throws IOException{
    raf.close();
    }

  • How to parse this?????

    i have the model of following structure html file i have to parse the values of <BR> tags how should i do this since all of them are enclosed within <Font> tag
    <BODY><FONT SIZE=-1
    <BR>"10100521"
    <BR>"11723003"
    <BR>"9011461"
    <BR>"8158892"
    <BR>"1603335"
    <BR>"2129978"
    </FONT></BODY>
    there is a < BR > tag before starting of the numbers i dont know why it is not displayed here
    null

    A "<br>" is non-XHTML, though, so that won't work.
    You're probably better off learning to use regular expressions - once you know how to use them, this sort of thing is pretty straightforward. Google for it and you'll find endless resources to help you.

    ln -s /s01/abinitio/data/prod/mfs/parts/mfs_16way_001/mfs_16way/Applications/RDS/CON_PUB/main/CON_xfrm_contract_to_20080302.dat ./mfs_16way_001.CON_xfrm_contract_to_20080302.dat

    If you guide me I will be so glad, thank you.

  • (ask) how to parse this?

    Hello guys, I wonder if you can help me with this:
    For example this string : '(1+4)/7'
    How do I break down that string so I can found out the result of that statement?
    Any input would be appreciated.
    Thanks.
