How to parse WPP format timestamps ?

hi,
Trying to use messageanalyzer for our custom log files.  We log the timestamp in the same format as WPP traces do (for legacy tools).
e.g:
06/03/2014-16:10:57.854
How do I indicate in my config that the timestamp is in this format  ? As it stands if I set IsTimeStamp=true, analyzer fails to parse the field as a datetime.

The format for Timestamp is pretty strict.  But you can parse the data using a syntax statement that extracts the date/time from the current string.
In this example, the date is split in two.  For your example, you could just parse the same string twice for each part.  Then a property, SCCMtsDateTime, sets the IsTimeStamp aspect and takes a Base message as the type.  If you derive your
message from that base type, as in the example at the end.
// Base type for all messages
message BaseTimeStamp : LogEntry
 string Time;
 string Date;
// Syntax creates a type based on an regex expression
// time="17:24:35.005+300" date="07-08-2013"
syntax CustomDateTimeFormat = month:regex{[0-9][0-9]} "-" day:regex{[0-9][0-9]} "-" year:regex{[0-9]+} " " hours:regex{[0-9][0-9]} ":" minutes:regex{[0-9][0-9]} ":" seconds:regex{[0-9][0-9]} "." fract:regex{[0-9]+} "+" tz:regex{[0-9]+}
        => ToDateTime(year + "-" + month + "-" + day + "T" + hours + ":" + minutes + ":" + seconds + "." + fract + "+" + tz);
// Property to return date type given a message of type BaseNetLogon.  Aspects for IsTimestamp allow you to replace the timestamp value.
DateTime get SCCMtsDateTime(this BaseTimeStamp msg) with EntryFieldInfo {IsTimestamp = true, IsLocalTime = false }
 //optional DateTime theDateTime = CustomDateTimeFormat(msg.Date + " " + msg.Time);
 optional DateTime theDateTime = (msg.Date + " " + msg.Time).ToDateTime();
    if(theDateTime == nothing)
  return CustomDateTimeFormat("01/07/1968 12:34:56.987+500") as DateTime;
    else
  return theDateTime as DateTime;
message SCCMLine with
 EntryInfo {
  Regex = @"^<!\[LOG\[(?<Message>.*)\]LOG]!><time=""(?<Time>.{16})"" date=""(?<Date>.{10})""\scomponent=""(?<Component>.*)""\scontext=""(?<Context>.*)""\stype=""(?<Type>.*)""\sthread=""(?<ThreadId>.*)""\sfile=""(?<File>.*):(?<LineNumber>.+)"">"//,
Tag = "]LOG]"
 : LogEntry
 string Time;
 string Date;
Hopefully this helps,

  • How to parse xCBL format file

    Hi,
    Is that anyone know that how to parse xCBL format in java? It would be a great help if any one can give me the examples or any information to do this.

    Using the SAXParser in JAXP the parsing of the XML file is event driven.
    Instantiate the parser:
    SAXParserFactory factory = SAXParserFactory.newInstance();
    SAXParser parser = factory.newSAXParser();
    InputSource is = new InputSource(new FileReader(theXML));call the parse method:
    parser.parse(is, this);The following events are fired as the parser works through the XML public void startElement(String namespaceURI, String localName, String qName, Attributes atts) throws org.xml.sax.SAXException
    public void endElement(String namespaceURI, String localName, String qName) throws org.xml.sax.SAXException
    characters(char[] ch, int start, int length)etc.
    You write what you want within each of these sections to handle the structure of your data. Keep in mind SAX is useful only when you know the structure of your XML.

    Hello
    I've solved the problem.
    In the stack.xml file are multiples software-components with the same name, here "SERVERCORE".
    I had 3 entries, two with patch-level 0 and one with patch-level 1.
    I've deleted the two entries with patch-level 0 and then it works.

  • How to parse xml file, containing image,  generaged from JAX-RS connector?

    Hi,
    We are using JAX-RS connector and just want to call getBusinessObjects() directly using JerseyMe (basically bypassing sync engine). We have used sync engine so far and want to try as how to bypass it. The method produces the text/xml and verified the xml file in the web by giving the full url. The plan is to call the same URL from the Java Me Client using JerseyMe. When I print the bytes at the client I receive the same xml that I have seen in the web. Actually, I am passing an image that I can see in a different character format in xml (assuming this is bcos of UTF-8 encoding). I am wondering as how to parse this xml file and how to decode the "UTF-8" format? Do we need to use SGMP for this or use kxml or java me webservices spec.
    I would really appreciate if somebody can answer this one.
    I have been observing in this forum that SGMP team is not at all active in answering the questions. Please let us know whether Oracle is keeping this product and we can continue using SGMP1.1. Please let us know so that we can plan accordingly as we are building a product based on SGMP.

    Hi Rajiv,
    The client library is using org.apache.commons.codec.binary.Base64 internally. We don't have the full Commons Codec library bundled, but you can look up the javadoc for the Base64 class online. All you need to do is call Base64.decode(obj.getBytes()) on the objects you get out of the XML.
    In general it isn't a good idea to depend on implementation details of the client library, but in this case, I think it is pretty safe to expect org.apache.commons.codec.binary.Base64 to remain in our library.

  • How to provide text formatting options to user from a text field

    Hi,
    My requirement is - in the interactive form, a comments field needs to be provided where user should be able to enter text with formatting options like
    Headers
    indentations
    bold/italic
    bullet points and numbers
    Once user enters the formatted texts in a text field, data needs to be displayed/printed in the same format. Could you help me on how to provide these formatting options to the user for a particular text field?
    I understand that once I define the text field with format XHTML (with RTF), user formatting can be captured and displayed in the same way. But I am not sure on how to provide the formatting options for the text field.
    Thank you,
    Madhu

    Hi,
    if you select a text field for Rich Text and the press Ctrl + E you'll get a bar for all available text formatting options in Acrobat/Reader.

    22222 22222222 33
    is there any function like C++ that we can format the string before we print it out?

    Java doesn't have a built-in sprintf equivalent, but here are a couple of third-party tools:

    Hi,
    You can get it from "User" or "Shop" business object.
    Try to get User or Shop Business Object as shown below.
    BusinessObjectManager bom = (BusinessObjectManager) userSessionData.getBOM(BusinessObjectManager.ISACORE_BOM);
    User user = bom.getUser();
    char decimalNotation = user.getDecimalPointFormat().getGroupingSeparator();
    If you are seeing "1,234.00" then above code will return "."

    2) How to SMI Label/Format a disk while OS Installation in Solaris 11.1?
    As we know that ZFS is the default filesystem in Solaris 11.
    We have seen in the Oracle documentation that for rpool below are recommended:
    - A disk that is intended for a ZFS root pool must be created with an SMI label, not an EFI label.
    - Create root pools with slices by using the s* identifier.
    - ZFS applies an EFI label when you create a storage pool with whole disks.
    - In general, you should create a disk slice with the bulk of disk space in slice 0.
    I have seen the solution that using format -e, we change the labelling but all the data will be lost, whats the way to apply a SMI Label/Format on a rpool disks while OS Installation itself.
    Please provide me the steps to SMI Label a disk while installaing Solaris 11.1 OS.

    Oracle recommends below things on rpool: (thats reason wanted to apply SMI Label)

  • How to create paragraph format in smartforms

    Hi All,
    Let me know how to create paragraph format in smartforms?
    Thanks&Regards
    Mahesh

    Hi
    When we create a smartform we can see in <b>global settings</b> , <b>form attributes</b>.
    In <b>form attributes</b> we set the over all style of the smartform. Goto <b>form attributes</b> and open the tab <b>output options</b>. Here you can see the <b>Style box</b>. In this style box we enter the smartstyle created in transaction code <b>smartstyles</b>.
    Open transaction <b>smartstyles</b>.
    Create a new style.
    Upon creating a new style you will see 3 folder structures under style name.
    1. Header data
    2. Paragraph format
    3. Character format
    To create paragraph format right click on the paragraph format node and click Create Node. Give it name. Now you will get a screen with 4 tabs.
    Indents and spacing
    Fonts
    Tabs
    Numbering and outline
    Here you can provide the look you want.
    Now add this smartstyle in your smartform's form attribute.
    You can also provide individual smartstyles to each text element you create by giving the name of smartstyle in its output options tab. Each text element has a individual output option tab here you can give any smartstyle.
    Click on the general attribute tab of any text element and give the paragraph format directly or by going to SAPScript editor mode.
    Any more questions you can ask me directly mailing me.
    Please do reward points if satisfied.
