How to parse XSD in ABAP and convert into models

Hello Experts,
I have a scenario where XSD is available in ABAP and want to parse it and convert into object such as XSD Schema, XSD Complext Type, XSD Simple Type etc... (that is create a DOM model of XSD)
Are there some standard APIs which can provide this feature?

If my understanding of your requirement is correct then the class - CL_FP_XSD_FOR_ABAPTYPES, should help you out.

The "bar" or "pipe" symbol is a special character, also called a metacharacter.
If you want to use it as a literal in a regular expression, you will need to escape it with a backslash character (\).

if you don't need to move backup from prod to dev you need to create rman catalog and have access on it from dev server , after that you will be able to duplicate your prod to dev without moving backup and database will be in Read write by default .

from DMS point of view it is possible to convert an original to BMP format. Therefore you have to set up a conversion routine in customizing and link a converter to your system, which is able to convert the original in the desired format.
First of all the converter has to be linked to the R/3 System by RFC connection in SM59. Please see
the attached document which contains all necessary information about setting up the converter and conversion.
Further customizing settings can be found in transaction SPRO under:
Cross-Application Components
> Document Management
> Conversion of Original Application Files
The conversion could be defined to be started in transaction CONV02, with status change or by using workflows. For using the conversion within workflows please see SAP note 687199 for further information.

I'd appreciate to know how to parse a XML schema file. I realize that Oracle provides API as defined in:

Hi Jason!
I already used Oracle XML parser for parsing XML schema files, but I wouldn't recommend it!
The classloader loads Oracle XDK classes first, so you can't use other XDK version then Application Server own XDK version.
(This is a not yet solved classloader issue in application server.)
I reallized, that Oracle sometimes change APIs in XDK, so sometimes it is no longer compatible with the old version API.
If you develope a code that works in your Jdeveloper, perhaps it won't work on the application server and you won't have the option to use the appropriate XDK version.
I recomend to use Xerces or other XML parser to parse XML schema files!

This way you can use any version of the XML parser in your application.

SonicStage/Atrac3 files--How do I import these files and convert them??

This is my problem.
I used to have SonicStage, I no longer do, but I found some of my old CDs that I made using that program, but the atrac3 files(I believe that's what they're called) aren't compatible with Mac, so now what do I do? I've never converted anything in my life, are there any apps I could download that will rip the unreadable files from my old CDs and convert them into usable mp3 (or whatever) files?
This is all very foreign to me and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

In previous versions of Firefox, I was able to easily download and convert videos into .flv files. I was then able to burn DVDs of theses downloaded videos using DVDFLICK. I'm now unable to do this using Firefox6.0.2?

How do I copy multiple clips and sequences into a new project

Hi Folks,
I've spent a while on the net trying to find an answer to my problem - so far without success. I have successful finished a documentary project (on climbing Mt Kilimanjaro) and now I want to lift the most dramatic sequence (the summit) so I can advertize the thing on my website and elsewhere. I have two audio tracks and two video tracks with multiple still photos in one of the video tracks.
There must be a way to do this but I can't find it.
Any ideas - and if this is a simplistic question I apologize - I've been learning as I go on this project.

Okay everyone - thanks for your help - new problem.
I successfully "built" my 4 minutes clip from the original project. But I couldn't find a way to delet the material past rthe point at which I wanted it to end. So I went in and manually deleted everything. Inow have a 4 minute clip but when I try and convert it to a Youtube friendly file format it tells me the clip is 26 minutes long. I checked it out and it just kepy playing black with no sound. I dug around alittle and founf a sort of mini-compressed timelione of all that material and deleted it. tried again. It now stops playing after 4 minutes but once again tells me the clip is 26 minutes long when I try and convert the file. Are there pixies living among the pixels?

Reading files and converting into xml structure

In my application a client requests for the folder structure information to a server through RMI. The server needs to read files and folders on local machine and convert it into some structure (I am thinking of using xml) and send it back. For eg: I am planning to have Server send back something like:

It is just the names of the files I am interested in and not the contents. Is this a good approach of sending back the data as a string containg xml definition. Is there any better appproach in terms of performance, memory etc? I am currently planning on using DOM for construction of this structure. Is there a source code for reading and converting the folder structure into xml. Just for your information, the clients gets this information and shows it as a tree structure on the GUI.

Is this a good approach of sending back the data as a string containg xml definition. It'll work.
An alternative, more direct approach is to build a memory representation and send this as argument/return value of an RMI call. You'd need to write classes MyDirectory and MyFile; MyFile has just a name; MyDirectory has a name and a collection of MyDirectory and one of MyFile. Make these classes implement Serializable and you can send them over RMI.
The effort to write those trivial classes would be less than to implement XML encoding/decoding, and also in terms of runtime performance and memory it will be hard to beat Java's serialization with anything XML-based. In this case I doubt performance/memory are relevant considerations though.
If for some reason I'd go for sending XML Strings anyway, I wouldn't do the encoding/decoding myself; I'd use XStream to convert Java classes to/from XML and still end up writing the above two classes and be done.
