How to pass '&' as a parameter in IDOC Status avoiding it to be replaced

Hi,
   This is the issue I have. Say an IDOC got status 51 when trying to post it. One of the messages to be appended in table EDIDS is:
Message Class   Message Number    Text
ZZ                      001                       This is parmeter1 & and this is parameter2 &
   Now, say that in EDIDS table, I have an entry like this for the referred IDOC:
STAMID:   ZZ
STAMNO: 001
STATYP: E
STAPA1: P&L
STAPA2: ABCDE
When I look the IDOC in the WE02, I see the message like this:
"This is parameter1 PABCDEL and this is parameter2 "
   Sounds like when merging message with its parameters, the system is replacing the '&' in first parameter.
     I tried to put P&&L in parameter 1, and also to change error text to have the parameters place numbered (This is parmeter1 &1 and this is parameter2 &2). Nothing worked.
However, when I output the message using message statment in an abap program, the message appears fine in screen.
Does anyone have any suggestion about how I can bypass this ???

In fact, the text of the error message is fine. The problem is that I need to pass parameter 1 containing a '&', and I don't want it to be replaced.
The threat is WE02. It's not replacing stapa1 and stapa2 from EDIDS as I expected.

I am not aware of any html tags you can pass to the viewer for parameter values. Normally, you would load the report in code and then use the SDK with the report object to pass parameter values.

How to pass SQL command parameter using OpenDocument

I have a dynamic List of values configured in Business View manager, used across multiple reports.
The data source for this LOV is a SQL Command which accepts a static parameter named stringParam. I need to pass this static parameter in the URL using OpenDocument command. How can I do this?
I tried
http://bobjdev/businessobjects/enterprise115/InfoView/scripts/opendocument.aspx?spath=[ReportFolder]&sDocName=WebReport.rpt&stype=rpt&lsSstringParam=ABC
but it still prompts me to select the parameter. I need to avoid this prompt.

ADF Faces + ADF BC : how to pass an url parameter to a backend business ser

I'm using latest JDev studio version SU 3.
My project is using ADF Faces with BC4J in the service layer.
I have a backend application module which exposes a method taking a String parameter as an input (ex: void setUsername(String username))
I need to have a jspx page which reads a parameter passed in the url (http://localhost/faces/registerUser.jspx?username=john) and send it to the backend service method when a submit is raised on a clicked button.
It's pretty simple when using inputtext for example but not obvious if I want to use urm param instead of inputtext.
How do I do this ?

How to pass a date parameter from report builder query designer to oracle database

i'm using report builder 3.0 connected to oracle database. i'm trying to pass a date parameter in the query with no success, i don't
know the exact syntax. I've tried :

it worked perfectly.
However if i try to put a date parameter "From" instead of 01/01/2014 it will not work, a Define Query Parameter popup window appear and error occurred after i fill
the values (usually i shouldnt get this popup i should enter the value when i run the report)

According to your description, you have problem when in passing a parameter for running a Oracle Query. Right?
Based on my knowledge, it use "&" as synax for parameter in Oracle, like we use "@" in SQL Server. In this scenario, maybe you can try '01/01/2014' when inputing in "From". We are not sure if there's any limitation for To_Date()
function. For your self-testing, you can try the query in sqlplus/sql delveloper. Since your issue is related to Oracle query, we suggest you post this thread onto Oracle forum.

How to pass an integer parameter from main report to subreport?

I don't understand why this isn't working, but I have a main report with parameters:
StartDate=datetime,
EndDate=datetime,
Program=text,
ChartType=text.
In this RDL, I have a chart with Action configured on this bar chart series. The Action expression is:

So for this subreport, I have tried ChartType parameter as both integer and text, but each time i click on a bar from the main report, it opens a new window with ChartType field empty. But the other 3 parameters: Start Date, End Date, and Program are
all populated. Why is it doing this and how can I fix please?

If I understand correctly, you have got empty in the ChartType parameter text box when you enable go to URL action.
In my test, if the value we pass to the subreport which is not include in the parameter available values, we would get the empty text box. Please check if it has the specific ChartType values in the subreport parameter available values.
Alternatively, please check if it has pass value to the subreport. We can add a parameter without available values and default values to check if it is can accept the Field ChartType Value from the main report.

OIM Reporting: How to pass a dynamic parameter in the xml file

I am generating a custom report in OIM. My stored procedure is ready and I am getting the required data when I query the database. However,while displaying it through the xml file, I need to filter the fetched data by group name. The glitch present here is that the group name is dependent on the resource selected and so the group parameter is dynamic. How can I pass this dynamic group parameter in the xml file to filter the data. Which attributes are to be used. Can anyone please help me out regarding this?

Hi,
If you are passing a single value, its better you take it from s_option-low or s_option-high (select options).
Else if you are passing values to the FM in a loop for all select option values, then better you declare an internal table with type <b>WSELKUNNR</b>.
get low & high fields from each row & pass them.
It will make you clear when you check out your select options in debug mode by entering different combinations of inputs.

How to pass the multiplevalue parameter into SSRS by data driven subscription

I create a table and show it in the SSRS by table

CC1, E
And set one parameter EmID for the user to filter the record and that Parameter Accept multiple values and the type is text.
And I create a another table for the data-driven subscription to send the report to user by email.

TestEmail AA1,BB1,CC1   TestComment
And I set the subscription and set the EmID parameter is from EmID column, then test the subscription, it failed...
However, when I only put AA1 into the table, then the subscription works well

So How I can config the above table to support subscription?

When specify a column for the parameter value in a data-driven subscription, it will be regarded as a single value. So when specify the value "AA1,BB1,CC1" as the parameter value, the subscription will fail.
The work around for this issue clear the "Allow multiple values" for the report parameter, and then change the filter
From
Expression:[ParameterName]
Operator   :In
Value         :[@ParameterName]
To
Expression:[ParameterName]
Operator   :In
Value         :Split(Parameters!ParameterName.Value,",")
In this case, we can specify a value like "AA1,BB1,CC1" from database to the data-driven subscription. I have tested it on my local host environment, it works fine.

I would do it like this:
Load the "search-result/rec-num" value into a field within an invisible div tag:

How to passing array as parameter to oracle stored procedure from JPA

Hi All,
I need to call a stored proc in Oracle that accepts an array as input parameter.
Pls let me know how should i call it from my JPA. Is this even possible without using JDBC directly?
i keep getting the ff error:

my code is something like this:

How to pass item payment term through Idoc segment E1EDP18

We use ORDERS idoc to create sales orders and our customers want to replace the default payment term at item level. I found segment E1EDP18 for this purpose but I don't exactly know how to use it, like where to put the payment term key. Can any one expain with the help of a clear example how to indicate the payment term there ?
Below is a exerpt of the incoming idoc file I used for testing. In this test I put the paymentt term 0010 in but the information sent in idoc segment is just ignored.

         SAP program IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS is not using the item level payment terms sent in IDOC segment P18 to fill the sales order so you need user exit to do this. The program is moving the item level information to an internal table xe1edp18 when the data is parsed from IDOC so you can use this to populate the screen information in the user exit 'CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '002' (IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS).
Let me explain the process from EDI to SAP.
1) EDI 850 will have ITD segment at item level (Example ITD013 *2     *        *10 *        *30 *          *        *) you can ask your EDI team to map them to P18 segment as it has the number of days and also the percentage for cash discount. P18 has 3 qualifiers so you can map 3 different temrs (For example the above sample is 1 Term is 2% in 10 days and Term 2 is net 30 days)
2) During IDOC parsing the program is already filling internal table xe1edp18.
3) In the user exit CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '002' you need to search for the SAP payment terms with the number of days and percentage (This is available in the table T052). Once you find the SAP terms key, you need to populate it for each item. You need to do this after the program filled the item billing data.

In WE02 you can see the status of the idoc. If you double click on the short text that is coming in the status, you can see the long text. How do i customized my long text to that screen?

To create a message long text in SE91:
    1. Place the cursor on the corresponding message.
    2. Click the Long text pushbutton.
    3. Enter the long text.
    4. Save the data.
