How to populate Global Container

Hi,
     We have an output structure of the form-
    <Record>                          occurence 1-n
        <MSGFN>..</MSGFN>  occurence 1-1
        <MTART>..</MTART>    occurence 1-1
        <VOLUM>..</VOLUM>   occurence 1-1
    </Record>
I have written a UDF(queue) to populate the Record field. In this UDF I want to populate an ArrayList (ArrayList as initial size is unknown) with the output queue of Record which I need to reference in other another UDF(queue) for populating the fields under Record.
When I tried this by declaring an ArrayList under Global Variables and then trying to use that ArrayList in the UDFs for populating the fields, it was unable to do so.
Can anyone help out with this?

Hi;
This is all abt Global Variables
<b>Global Variables Declaration</b>
ArrayList arrVI;
int counter =0;
<b>Initialization Section</b>
arrVI= new  ArrayList();
<b>assignment</b>
arrVI.add(sVI[iLoopCounter]);
counter++;
<b>Calling Back</b>
for (int i =0;i<counter;i++)
result.addValue(arrVI.get(i)+"");

  • How to add a container object in a station globals

    Hi,
    How to add a container object in a station globals

    Hi radlou,
    This might be what you're looking for:
    NewSubProperty Method
    Syntax
    PropertyObject.NewSubProperty ( lookupString, ValueType, asArray, typeNameParam, options)
    Purpose
    Creates a new subproperty with the name the lookupString parameter specifies.
    Parameters
    lookupString As String
    [In] Pass the lookup string for the new subproperty to be created. If you pass a lookup string with multiple levels (such as "x.y.z"), this method creates all of the necessary intermediate container objects. Refer to lookup string for more information about the strings you can use.
    ValueType As PropertyValueTypes
    [In] Pass the type of value you want the new subproperty to store.
    asArray As Boolean
    [In] Pass True to make the new subproperty an array whose elements are of the type you specify in valueType.
    typeNameParam As String
    [In] Pass the name of an existing type if you want to create the new subproperty as an instance of a named type. Otherwise, pass an empty string. If you pass a type name, you must pass PropValType_NamedType for the ValueType parameter. Refer to NamedPropertyTypes for a list of built-in named types.
    options As Long
    [In] Pass 0 to specify the default behavior, or pass one or more PropertyOptions constants. Use the bitwise-OR operator to specify multiple options. You do not need to pass the InsertIfMissing option to create the new subproperty. Pass DoNothingIfExists if you want the method to not report an error if the subproperty already exists.

  • Uix:Tree - How to populate in jsp ?

    Hello all,
    I'm having trouble to know how to populate an <uix:tree> in a JSP page. I see the UIX Developer's guide and the SimpleTreeData example and the documentation about uix:jsp is very poor. The data that will be posted in the <uix:tree> was provided by IFS. Then, I populate a DataObjectList with the files name. The point is that I don't know how to make a link between this DataObjectList, populated in a class(*.JAVA) file and the <uix:tree>(*.JSP) file. I wanna know how to use only <uix:jsp> and don't use *.UIX files, only *.JSP and *.JAVA files, ok ?
    Here are some code part :
    This is the JSP file
    <%@ taglib uri="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui" prefix="uix" %>
    <%@ page import="Hierarquia" %>
    <%@ page import="oracle.cabo.ui.data.DataObjectList" %>

    dados = x.getResultSet();
    %>
    <uix:formattedText text="Teste" />
    <uix:tree id="arvore_teste" nodesBinding="????" formName="teste">

    </uix:contents>
    </uix:pageLayout>
    </uix:body>
    </body>
    </uix:document>
    </html>
    Thanks folks !
    Carlos

    Carlos -
    I believe that the best way to do this is to use scriptable variables, eg:
      <uix:tree id="arvore_teste">
        <%
          // Assuming "dados" contains your tree data
          arvore_teste.setNodes(dados);
        %>
      </uix:tree>See the "Scriptable Variables" section in the "UIX JSP Tag Libraries" chapter of the UIX Developer's Guide for more info...

  • How to populate default values for BP (FPP1 is  tcode in ECC 6.0)

    Hello ,
    I am creating BP in ECC 6.0 using Fpp1 tcode.  How to populate default values when i hit create BP person.   any badi  triggers when we are creating BP in ECC.
    guide me.

    Hi Premanand,
    To default fields, you need to do the following steps :
    1. Create a Z module e.g. : Z_DEFAULT_FIELDS_DIALOG.
    2. Enter suppose you want to default fiels Name, title, country, write code as follows  :
    DATA : ls_busdefault LIKE busdefault.
      ls_busdefault-title = '0002'.
      ls_busdefault-mc_name1 = 'TEST'.
      ls_busdefault-mc_name2 = 'Default'.
      ls_busdefault-country = 'IN'.
        CALL FUNCTION 'BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET'
        EXPORTING
          i_busdefault = ls_busdefalut.
    3. Now got to transaction BUS7, select event ISDAT, click on Event--> function modules.
    4. Register your Z module Z_DEFAULT_FIELDS_DIALOG in this list, Save.
    This should solve your problem. Please note : You can only default those fields contained in structure BUSDEFAULT.
    Cheers,
    Rishu.

  • Using both populate global  and manual populating attributes

    Hi,
    I am using IDM 8.0 with Flat file active sync using following parameters in FF synchronization policy.
    Populate Global = checked
    Track Last Processed Timestamp =true
    Process Differences Only=true
    My create user process is working fine but I DO NOT want to update the attributes such as First name when its value in flat file is null. My following code is working in update user form if I DO NOT use populate global parameter. But i want to use Populate global parameter.
    Here is my code in update user form
    <Field name='accounts[Lighthouse].firstname'>
                    <Expansion>
                        <block >
                            <defvar name='potentialValue'>
                                <ref>activeSync.firstname</ref>
                            </defvar>
                            <cond>
                                <ref>potentialValue</ref>
                                <ref>potentialValue</ref>
                                <ref>accounts[Lighthouse].firstname</ref>
                            </cond>
                        </block>
                    </Expansion>
                    <Disable>
                        <or>

                            </isnull>
                            <eq>
                                <length>
                                    <ref>activeSync.firstname</ref>
                                </length>
                                <i>0</i>
                            </eq>
                        </or>
                    </Disable>
                </Field>Is it possible to use both manual as well auto populate attributes. If so, How can I stop updating firstname attribute when the firstname attribute value is null along with populate global parameter enabled.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Any reason why you write your result into accounts[Lighthouse].firstname instead of global.firstname when you are using populate global?
    Try something in the line of this:
    <Field name='global.firstname'>
      <Expansion>
        <cond>
          <or>
            <isnull><ref>activeSync.firstname</ref></isnull>
            <eq><length><ref><activeSync.firstname</ref><i>0</i></length></eq>
          </or>
          <ref>accounts[Lighthouse].firstname</ref>
          <ref>activeSync.firstname</ref>
        </cond>
      </Expansion>
    </Field>

  • WD(ABAP) - how to populate items in itemlistbox

    Is there any reference about how to populate items in Itemlistbox? I have tried to bind a context node with cardinality 1..n and Selection 0..n to the datasource of a itemlistbox element. The node contains two attributes jy and jy_text representing value and text repectively. I assign some sets of data to the attributes and finally bind the table to the node. But it doesn't display anything in the itemlistbox at runtime. Does anyone have idea?

      STRU_JY_LIST-jy = st_is-ind_sector.

    Hi Fred,
    You should check the following:
    The text property of the listbox should bind to the text attribute of your context node.

  • How to configure global transaction wthin Oracle AS JMS and Oracle JMS

    How to configure global transaction if I take a message from Oracle JMS(AQ) and send it to the Oracle JMS?

    Which version of OC4J are you working on?
    In OC4J 10.1.3.x, presume your OC4J JMS listens messages via MDB which uses a resource adapter as a message listener. The resouce adaper could be the generic JMS adapter deployed in OC4J as the default.
    Resource adapter configuration to support MDBs is included in the standard ra.xml file, which lists the message listener types that the resource adapter supports.
    The MDB developer or deployer configures the MDB in the ejb-jar.xml file, through a <message-driven> element.
    In addition to above, configuration in the ejb-jar.xml file specifies whether an MDB uses transactions.
    1) The <transaction-type> subelement of <message-driven> in ejb-jar.xml has a value of Container, and the <trans-attribute> subelement of <container-transaction> (under the <assembly-descriptor> element) has a value of Required. In this circumstance, if there is an imported transaction, then message delivery and related work are performed within that transaction. If there is no imported transaction, OC4J creates a transaction, and message delivery and related work are performed within that transaction.
    2) The <transaction-type> subelement of <message-driven> in ejb-jar.xml has a value of Bean. In this circumstance, the MDB manages the transaction. If a transaction is imported, OC4J will suspend it before the message delivery method call to the MDB, in order to avoid conflict.
    Message delivery is not transacted if the <transaction-type> subelement of <message-driven> in ejb-jar.xml has a value of Container, but the <trans-attribute> element has a value of NotSupported. If there is an imported transaction in this circumstance, OC4J will suspend the transaction before the message delivery method call to the MDB.
    Details could be found from OC4J Resource Adapter Guide.

  • How to populate the calculated value into screen field.

    I am doing one enhancement in QM.I have added one custom screen to notification transaction ( QM01/QM02/QM03) transaction tab strip control using the enhancement QQMA0001.The Details of the calling and called screens as shown bellow
    The Calling screen: SAPLIQS0
    Screen Number: 7790
    Screen Area :USER0001
    Called Screen: SAPLXQQM
    Screen Number: 0101
    I have developed the Custom Screen in screen 0101 and called in PBO of program SAPLIQS0 7790 screen.
    The Screen in calling perfectly .The Custom screen having different fields like Raw cost, Intermediate cost, Finished cost, SCAR Cost and Sales Order Cost Etc... These fields are out put filed types. No input for these screens.. I have few doubts regarding this
    How to populate the calculated values in Custom screen?
    Where we wrote the code to populate the calculated values in custom screen?
    You have any idea please guide me
    Thanks & Regards,
    Samantula

    As your screen fields should be global variables in SAPLXQQM, you may initialize them by implementing function module EXIT_SAPMIWO0_008 which also belongs to SAPLXQQM (Customer Exit: Transfer Notification Data to User Screen)

  • How to pass a container to a remote sequence (TS 3.5)

    I found out yesterday that you cannot pass a container by value to a sequence running on a remote TS server. Containers are only passed by reference. I am trying to pass a copy of a station globals container to the sequence on the remote computer so that that container doesn't have to be deployed to each remote server in the system everytime it gets changed. That's a maintenance nightmare. If I try to pass a reference to the station globals container I get an error when executing the remote sequence when it tries to access subproperties within the container. A variable scope issue I'm guessing.
    1) How can I achieve what I explained above by passing something to the remote sequence?
    2) Any other valid approach to do this?
    Thanks

    At the moment the system I am working on is still in development so I just copy the station globals file manually to all the remote teststand servers. It looks like the property loader would be a great way to get this done, since all the teststand stations can load these properties from the same file on a network drive, and it eliminates the need to pass around this station global.
    Q: What callback(s) get executed on the remote server when a remote sequence call is executed from the client? I need to find the appropriate place to load those properties with the property loader before running the target sequence
    Thanks

  • Global Container in Java Class of Interface Mapping

    I have written a Java Class that implements the StreamTransformation interface for use in an Interface Mapping. I would like to cache information read from a file between message processing calls of this mapping.
    It appears that maybe the GlobalContainer object can be used to perform this caching. How do I access the GlobalContainer object from a class that implements StreamTransformation?
    The examples all show container.getGlobalContainer() method call to get access to this object. However container is not a variable in this interface. Any ideas on how to do this?
    Thanks,
    Jay

    Hi Jay,
    if you want to link data from different messages you must use BPM, you cannot do this with GlobalContainer because it is instantiated at the begin of the mapping and is flushed at the end of the mapping (e.g. graphical mapping).
    2 files for the same scenario will use 2 different instances of the same message mapping program and they will not share the container.
    The container is shared inside the same instance of the mapping program.
    So it is shared for example between two UDF in the same mapping
    So if you are using Java mapping you do not need to use the global container, you can use an Object to store data, but keep in mind that all this data will be lost at the end of the mapping.
    Hope it helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Sergio

  • How to populate "N/A" or "#" in KFs

    Hi,
    Can any one tell me how to populate "N/A" or "#" in KFS. I want to use a condition for ex:
    If
    Var1 = 0 then the KF1 = "#"
    If
    Var1 = 10 then KF1 = 10
    I want to know if we can do it in the Front end (Bex) and not populate a KF in the data target.

    Hi Narendera,
    step_2 is a PAI event that is process after Input,
    when your query Q1 does not have any customer exit variable then it will not go in the step_2 code, your Q2 queyr is containing the code for customer exit varibale so it will run for that but of-course after the input.
    In any case it cannot run before that. I suggest you to put the break-point in your code and then run the query may be that can help you out.
    I_STEP = 1: Call takes place directly before variable entry
    I_STEP = 2: Call takes place directly after variable entry. This step is only started up when the same variable is not input ready and could not be filled at I_STEP=1.
    ·I_STEP = 3: In this call, you can check the values of the variables. Triggering an exception (RAISE) causes the variable screen to appear once more. Afterwards, I_STEP=2 is also called again.
    Thanks
    Dipika
