typeNameParam As String
[In] Pass the name of an existing type if you want to create the new subproperty as an instance of a named type. Otherwise, pass an empty string. If you pass a type name, you must pass PropValType_NamedType for the ValueType parameter. Refer to NamedPropertyTypes for a list of built-in named types.
options As Long
[In] Pass 0 to specify the default behavior, or pass one or more PropertyOptions constants. Use the bitwise-OR operator to specify multiple options. You do not need to pass the InsertIfMissing option to create the new subproperty. Pass DoNothingIfExists if you want the method to not report an error if the subproperty already exists.

Remember the father account key must be a valid account number in the company where you are trying to add the new account. (The G/L Account code seen in the SBO client)

Try it in the Designer first. If it works in the designer then it will work in our SDK's but you'll have to use RAS. So when you post your question to the .NET Development - Crystal Reports Forum be sure to specify what version you are using and anything else as far as versions go.
It may be easier to simply link the OLE Object in the designer, check the help file out on how to.

Re. your 1st question. Adding a field to a report is considered to be a report creation APIs (RCAPI). Only the RAS SDK has RCAPIs, so you can not use plain jane crystal APIs. For how to with RAS, see the examples here: NET RAS SDK Samples - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - SCN Wiki

Hi Theresita,
All the configuration is in the IMG under Personnel Management > Organizational Management > Hierarchy Framework. You'll want to review all the entries and related documentation, as adding objects to PPOME/PPOCE is not a simple 'one table' process. You may need new evaluation paths to support the views you want to see in the framework, so set these up ahead of time. Parameters to support your configuration are: OM_ARRAYTYPE_DISPLAY; OM_DIS_OBJECTMANAGER; OM_FRAMEWORK_OBJ_NR; OM_FRAM_SCEN_DISPLAY: OM_OBJIM_SCEN_DISPLAY: OM_TABTYPE_DISPLAY. You'll notice once you add these parameters, you can see the technical names of the scenarios you're working with in PPOME/PPOCE.

hi, the only way i manage is to create a subform, add the script object and adding this subform to a custom library. Then this can be used for other people by putting it in the master page and drag the script object to the variables. I wonder if there is another way to do it without using fragments because we use acrobat 7.0. Thanx in advance!

So i think I have to put this list in the SessionScope it will be the best.

No. you can't change an array's size.
You can do this
Object[][] arr = new Object[numRows][numCols];But once you've created it, its size can't change.*
I don't know what you're doing, though, and what actual data you're putting in, but Object[][] holding rows of [String, Integer] is almost certainly a poor data structure. Think about creating a class the represents one "row" here and then create a 1D array of that class.
* Okay, you can kinda sorta effectively "change" the size of second and subsequent dimensions, since a multidimensional array is an array of arrays. I wouldn't recommend it though: int[][] arr = new int[3][2]; // a 3 x 2 rectangular array of int--it's an array of array of int, with 3 "rows", each of which is an array of int with 2 elements.

How to make List.contains(Object) work when you write your own .equals func

I have a list of objcts of a class defined by me. I want to use the List.contains(String name) function to tell me if it contains an object of that name. I have overriden the .equals function as shown in [1]. I then use the code at [2] to to test it, with a bit of debugger output as shown in [3]. It is not working, my overriden method is not getting called by List.contains(String name).
Can anyone tell me how to get this to work?

This is a gross violation of the contract for the equals method, and you are basically getting bitten by that. The equals method must be symmetric, meaning this must hold for all objects A and B:
A.equals(B) == B.equals(A)This does not hold for your equals method because for any string A and custom object B:
A.equals(B) == falseAnd, apparently, the List.contains() method is choosing to compare objects that way.
You must iterate through the list and check the names yourself, or use some sort of functional package which provides a List.contains() type method which takes a Predicate object of some sort.

It's not possible to 'append' a StringItem or a TextField (or any other lcdui.Item object) to a Canvas or GameCanvas. You can only draw lines, draw images, draw text, etc etc, on a Canvas screen. So, you can only 'simulate' the look and feel of a TextField (on a Canvas) by painting it and adding source code for command handling (like key presses). However, this will be quite some work!!
lcdui.Item objects can only be 'appended' to a Form-like Displayable.

How to add a UIResponer object in the Responder Chain ?

I'm quite new in iPhone developement and in Objective-C programming, and I am not very good (of course I'm French :)).
I'm sure my problem is simple, but I can't find a clear response in the doc and on the Web..
I have a custom view which implements the touchesBegan, touchesMoved, and touchesEnded methods in order to handle touch screen events. For a clear separation between View and Control (MVC pattern), I want to delegate these events to another class which inherits from the UIResponder class. How can I do that ?
I think I have to move the touchesBegan and touchesMoved methods into my new UIResponder class, but how can I indicate to the View that it must forward the events to my new UIResponder class ? In the doc (iPhone OS Programming Guide, Event Handling) it is said that we have to modify the Responder Chain, but I don't know how to do that... In the init method of my custom view, I just can't call the becomeFirstResponder method with my UIResponder class as a receiver because the canBecomeFirstResponder return NO.
Please help me ! I'm sorry to be such a noob.

I think my problem is near to be solved : I have overriden the nextResponder method and returned my UIResponder object in my custom view . So I can handle the touch events in the responder. But the canBecomeFirstResponder still return NO in the init method of my custom view. Does someone know about that and can explain it to me ?

How to add custom authorization object to a SAP standard transaction

Hi All,
I have a standard tcode IW22 (change PM Notification) and I would lock changing when some users modify the field Functional Location (field TPLNR).
Since this field does not have an authorization object associated, I've tried to solve this problem with the following steps:
- tcode SU20 - creation of new authorization field TPLNR with data element TPLNR
- tcode SU21 - creation of a new auth object in transaction SU21 with name ZPM and field (TPLNR, ACTVT and TCOD)
- tcode SU24 - insert of new authorization field e check indicator (green)
- tcode SU22 - check indicator - check (green)
After this we have created a new role with PFCG and add transaction IW22; the new auth.ZPM was added manually.
We have try to analyze log (ST01 trace) but it seems no check was made in the trace file.
It seems new authorization object was not checked.
My question is: "Is it possible to add a custom authorization object into standard transaction and implementing authorization check without writing abap code in exit or badi ?"

No .. not possible. The list of Auth. objects SAP proposed in SU24 for each Stnd. SAP TCodes are basically documentation of the Authority-Checks in the program for that TCode. The extra advantage of SU24 is to set the object status (means the proposal for availability in PFCG) among any of the four check indicators. So that we can provide our own value (customer specific values which are basically defined and separate from sap provided values) and reinforce the authorization concept of the organization.
So you need to provide a Authority-Check for ZPM in the program of IW22 to make sure that the fields you want to be checked are really being checked during execution of the tcode.

How to add a new object to Toplink session cache?

I have a question on Toplink 9.0.4.5 (I know this is older version of Toplink but this is what we are using right now). Let me give you little context before I ask the question.
Toplink server session brokers client sessions (that are spawned by it) and gets changes made in client sessions into server session through transaction commits. Process involved in getting some thing into database using Toplink is: 1) Get client session 2) Register object to be written into database with Toplink's UnitOfWork (UOW). This registration creates two copies of the object registered (original object). Working clone for client application for modifications, backup clone for Toplink to compare the changes made to the working clone later 4) Make changes to the working clone 5) Complete the transaction (and so commit UOW). If transaction commits successfully, Toplink writes the changes from the working clone into database first and applies the same changes made to the working clone to the original object in Toplink server session cache next. Oracle recommends using UOW to write some thing into database. Using UOW involves a transaction and it writes changes into database first before the original object in Toplink server session cache is refreshed.
Now comes my question: Is there a way to add a brand new object (persistent object) into Toplink server session cache with out writing it first into database? I am OK if I need to use UOW and also to use transaction to make the change but I just want to be able to refresh the original object in the server session cache with out writing any thing into database. If there is a way to do this? What are the disadvantages in doing this way though? I have read Oracle's Toplink developer guide (10.1.3) and Javadocs from Oracle on UnitOfWork/Session etc all related interfaces and classes but I could not find a way. Please help!

There are a couple things wrong with the method you posted. The first being uow.registerObject() is going to cause the object to be treated as new if you are not using the TopLink cache.
There really is not any supported mechanism to do what you are looking to do. TopLink 11g has the hooks to replace the TopLink cache with a distributed cache (and the TopLink-Grid product uses these to use Coherence as the TopLink cache) but earlier versions did not have this.
If you are willing to work outside what would be officially supported and no component of the application is using the ServerSession cache (ie all queries refresh) then something like the following may work for you:

unitOfWork.commit();
}You will need to tweak the above code to have it match the APIs in your version of TopLink and you should test thoroughly.
