How to "PREPONE" Business partner Valid from date (Role: TR0600)

Hi Experts,
I created BP on 4/03/2011 and using this BP I created one Commercial Lease in Contract but while activating the contract system showing Warning message as mentioned below.
Role Obsolete: Master Tenant with Customer Account is only valid in period From 01.03.2011
Message no. REBPBP035
Diagnosis
The validity of role Obsolete: Master Tenant with Customer Account is restricted for this business partner to the period From 01.03.2011. However, the object to which the business partner is to be assigned is valid for a longer period (validity period of object: 25.05.2010-24.05.2013).
Procedure
Extend the validity period of the role to cover period 25.05.2010-24.05.2013 in business partner processing or assign a different partner to the object for the period in which role Obsolete: Master Tenant with Customer Account is not assigned to the partner.
Please provide me the solution to overcome this issue.

HI CM,
you have to change the date of assignment of the BP role accordingly (as
mentioned in the warning message) if you do not want the message to
appear any more. Normally, the assignment of a BP to a contract should
cover the whole validity period and if this is not given, the message
arises.
Please check the validity data of the role of the assigned business
partner. Therefore you have to go to the business partner maintenance
screen and there check the validity data of the BP role.
As the validity data of the role aren't easy to find I have attached a
screen shot for your information.

You can use the FM:CRM_CENTRALPERSON_GET
pass the input parameter IV_USERNAME as the user name
You can get the result in the export parameter EV_NAME as user's first name last name

How to create business partner in a specific role

Hi experts,
We are implementing CRM 4.0 Business package in EP 7.0.
When we checked the business partner creation screen, we couldnt find an option to create the business partner in a specific role (eg, prospect, sold to party, ship to party etc).
When we create a business partner, it is automatically added to the "business partner - general" role.
Can anyone suggest us how to enable the option of adding to different roles from the BP creation screen itself?

For Creating a BP with only one specific role.
You can enhance the BP by creating a transaction code that allows you to create BP only with specific roles.
Tx code: to create a transaction code is SE93
To assign the Tx code to a specific role related activity: BUSF

is there any relation between guid of shopping cart and business partner in but000 table , here we need to find the approver for the shopping cart based on guid , when it is just being created in single step approval. we are using process controlled workflow in srm 7.0.

Hi Kamakshi,
I do not which FM can do the trick. But you can build your own FM by searching table swiwiobjct, provide below data:
- objtype = 'BUS2121'
- objkey = shopping cart number
- wi_stat = COMPLETED
- wi_rh_task = TS10007991 (or other tasks to set SC status to released)
Then the value(s) of field wi_aagent should be the user ID of approver.

You can determine business partner assigned to organization by using PDP.
When you assign partner to organization, in relationship tab of partner we notice relationship of "is employee responsible".
we can use this relation to determine patner assigned to org
Step 1: Define partner function
Step 2: Define Access Sequence..Here use "BP relationship" and specify the partner function that you are going to determine from organization.
Step 3: Define PDP
Step 4: Goto business partner relationship and select maintained sales org and your partner function.
Your pdp will be able to determine partner assigned to organization.

Business partner change Valid From Date field

How can I change the Valid From Date field in tables:
BUT000
BUT020
BUT0BK
BUT100
Currently the of date of creation of the business partner is in this tables' Valid From field.
In transaction BP the Address of the Business Partner is valid from 01.01.1990 but still I get a warning that the business partner is not valid for date 01.11.2011.

Sounds like the problem is the valid to date. What is that date set to?

Valid From Date in CT04

We are on ECC 6.0. When I try to create a Characteristics in CT04, the Valid From date defaults to the System Date. If I change this date to any other date in the past, it saves the system date only.
How do I make the Valid From date to something else?

why do you want to create the characteristics for a past date?
This is possible by creating a change number in CC01 with the valid from date as say 01.07.2011 and include the check box for
characteristics in the object type(active) and use the change number in CT04 and check the results.
But the drawback in this procedure is the system always expects a change number during the next change for that
characteristics.
Check and revert back.

Component - Change valid from date

I am using function module CRM_IBASE_COMP_CHANGE to change the component data. I am able to make all the required changes in the component except valid from date. Even though I am specifying it in VALFR of the structure IBAP_COMP3

Hi Abdullah,
Valid-from date cannot be modified. If you go to IBase Display or if you create a new IBase with one Component, then you can observe there, that Valid-from date is only a Display field which takes current date by default (during creation) and not an input field. Hence i think you cannot modify.

How to get valid from date in KONH Table

Hi ,
I am sending COND_A idoc for MRP. Now when I create a record using VK11,the valid from date is fine.
But while changing the same using VK12 changed date does not reflect in KONH Table (when the new valid from date is greater the the previous one) .I understand the SAP Logic behind this from previous threads .
But my issue is this :
Suppose I have a Material X created with Valid from = 10.01.2011 & valid to = 31.12.9999
Now I change this Valid from = 28.01.2011 & valid to = 31.01.2011.
Now how can I send the data for 28.01.2011 in my I-doc , as KONH still has 10.01.2011 as valid from date.

even if you send the data for 28.01.2011, it should pick up the condition record because the start date for condition record is in past? why do you think it is a problem? now if your concern is that if your input date is 27.01.2011 and it should not pick this condition (that is a different matter altogether)...

Lets assume that, we are going to change Management for controlling Valid From date
Steps to be followed for creation of Change No
Tcode CC01 for Change No
Click on Change Master
Once you enter into Change master, maintain the description
In the Valid from Date, maintain the date from which you BOM should be current
Maintain the Status (01)
Click on Ojbect Type, maintain for which Object types is the Change no needs to be active i.e. for BOM, Rtg, etc
save the Change No
After the change no is created
Enter the Change No during the creation mode of BOM
THe system copies the Valid from date from Change No

Business partner deletion - master data

In SAP Note 1111635 -Business partner cannot be deleted
try to delete a business partner or a contact person. This is not

Without deleting transactional data. I guess you mean without deleting all the data from de cubes. But you want to get rid of the transactional data of BP type "C".
Go to the manage screen of the cube involved.
Go to the tab 'Contents'
click on the button 'Selective Deletion' (right-side at the bottom)
On the pop-up click on the button 'Delete selections'
Fill in type 'C'
Start the job.

BOM "valid from date" in transaction CSKB

The business process is like this -
1. We create sales order ( VA01)
2. In sales order, we enter configurable materials as items.
3. Then we freeze/change the BOM for sales order and line item through t-code CSKB.
The problem is in CSKB, "Valid from date" of order BOM components is defaulted using the "required delivery date" in Sales Order. We want to default current date (system date) as the "valid from date". Please suggest how it can be done.

While creating the BOM have you used the change number ...? if yes then display that change number and check wheather do you have any alternative date mention in it.
check validity date of change number as well as BOM validity.
another reason can be you need to apply SAP note 1278790.

I wrongly created in CS01 and CA01 as 05.10.2007 as my valid from date instead of 01.10.2007.....
How to change to my actual one......
I dont know how to change it exactly.....as im beginner in SAP...pls take this into consideration...and post ur replies imm.

IF there's no setting for Date Check in OS54 - Engineering Change Management
Control Data,then you can create a change number with past dates,and also to
use the same one for changing BOM.
Tell me one thing you are saying you want to use ECM.Was the earlier one
created without BOM was created without an ECN?
See already if you have created your BOM with an ECN,then remove the date
check setting which I have mentioned in OS54.
Now goto T code CC02 ,enter the Change number and give the valid from date as
01.10.2007.
After that check in CS03 whether this date(01.10.2007)is getting reflected or not.
I'm sure this will solve your problem.

Hello!
In the WebUI there are different Business Partner Types (Person, Organization, Group).
From user perspective you can differentiate between:
- Corporate Account (Organization)
- Individual Account (Person)
- Group Account (Group)
- Employee (Person)
- Contact Person (Relationship) (Person)
All these Business Partner have an own Overview-Page. Usually you can create the Business Partner starting from the related Search-Result-List (by default the new-button is not available for Employees as a Sales Rep usually doesnu2019t create new Employees u2026).
You can assign Business Partner Roles to these Business Partners (there is an own Assignment-Block within every Overview-Page of a Business Partner). Some roles will also get assigned automatically, if you create this Business Partner.
However it is possible to assign multiple roles to the Business Partner. Itu2019s also possible to have different Views of one Business Partner. E. g. an Individual Account can also be a Contact Person for another Account. But here it is not the Role determining the View it is the Contact Person Relationship doing this.
The Role itself also has an impact on the UI of the Business Partner as dependent on the Roles some Assignment-Blocks are displayed or not.
