How to print Title in RTF Template

I want to define the Title of the Report Using Word
File -> Properties -> Summary
Say XYZ
I would then like to reference this Title in my RTF Template. What syntax i can use for this?

I want to use the Title property in Sub template which is common for all my templates. I know I can accomplish this by defining a parameter in main template and then passing it as parameter to the sub template. However i thought that Word properties is a more proper place for placing the title and somehow i need to reference it in my rtf template to that i can pass it as a parameter.

    Hi,
    I've created a data model query using a parameter in BI Publisher Enterprise. When I'm showing the data I'm first ask for the parameter value.
    Now I want to create a rtf template in BI Publisher Desktop. What do I have to do that the user can set the parameter and then see the result? So how to set the parameter in my query?

    To test passing a parameter value, ff you are using the:
    XML Publisher Runner – on the Setting tab enter a new line containing:
    Name: xslt. InvThresh
    Value: 1000
    Template Builder
    In the config file under <<TEMPLATE_BUILDER_HOME>>/config enter under the Properties section:
    <property name="xslt.InvThresh">1000</property>
    <xsl:param name="InvThresh" select="0" xdofo:ctx="begin"/>
    InvoiceNumber     Inovice Amount

    13222-2 = <?INVOICE_NUM?>

  • How to round numbers in RTF templates?

    Hello!
    I'm using BI Publisher for Word (Oracle BI Publisher Builder for Word 10.1.3.4.1) to build a template to my BI Publisher report and I want to calculate this:
    avg(X)/(avg(Y)-avg(Z)/0.9)
    The result should be rounded to 3 places.
    I tried:
    <?(sum(X) div count(X)) div ((sum(Y) div count(Y)) - (sum(Z) div count(Z)) div 0.9)?>
    and I obtained the expected result.
    But, when I try to round in this way:
    <?xdofx:round((sum(X) div count(X)) div ((sum(Y) div count(Y))-(sum(Z) div count(Z)) div 0.9),3)?>
    I obtain 0 when is expected other value.
    Can someone help me?

  • How to Sort Date in RTF template

    Hi
    in my report i have name, date_arrival, Time_arrival, Hotel. I created a report grouped by hotel. On the screen it's working OK. when I print yusing RTF created template, the date is not sorted as expected.
    Thanks,
    Ribhi

    I have read much about date formating. I think some of the functionality in to_chat and to_date is changing between versions. I don't know that this is the simplest way, but it is the only way that worked for me:
    <?sort: xdoxslt:format_date (ssPrimaryRevenueCloseDate,’ yyyyMMDD’, ’MM/DD/yyyy’,’Europe/London’,’GMT’)?>
    I do not understand why this function is not in the documentation.

  • How to Print A4 from Brochure Template

    Hi all,
    First time using Pages so hope my question is not too dumb.
    I have used the Brochure template to create a brochure for my company. However when you look at a PDF version of it the first page is the front and back pages of the brochure and the second page is the 2 inside pages of the brochure, which can be confusing for someone receiving it by email.
    How can I print the brochure into 4 pages (as a PDF) and not 2 as it is laid out. During editing I can see the "fold line" down the middle of the brochure which is great but i wayt to be able to print seprately either side of the fold line.
    Appreciate any help.
    Thanks

    Hi Jason,
    The template is for a 'single fold' brochure, using a single sheet of paper, printed on both sides. Changing this to a four page email version is doable, but a bit tedious. You do have one advantage over a North American user trying to do the same thing—your next smaller page, A5 has the same aspect ratio as the current A4, so you won't have as much fiddling to do to make the copy and illustrations fit in the right places.
    Here's the process I went through, using the "Local Caterer" template. (Mine starts out as US Letter size, so there are some proportion issues that I ignored as I wasn't going to save the finished piece.
    The New document
    Open a new Blank Page layout template.
    Go File > Page Setup, and set the Paper size to A5
    Use the +Pages button to add three Blank pages to the document.
    The Original document
    Open the Brochure document.
    Set the view scale to a size where you can see all of one 'page' (eg. the front cover) in the document window.
    In the View menu (or the View button) choose Show layout.
    The elements of each page are a set of graphic objects and text boxes containing all of the text. On this template, each text box is independent (not linked to another text box). If yours contains linked text boxes, you may need to experiment and make some adjustments to the procedure.
    In the Old document:
    Place the mouse pointer in the grey space between the A4 pages, and just to the right of the (vertical ) blue layout guide line.
    Click and hold the mouse button and drag up and right across the front cover page unntil you get to the top right corner of the page.
    Your result should resemble the image below:
    Copy.
    In the New document:
    Click on the first page.
    Paste
    Use the mouse and/or the arrow keys to move the still selected objects into position.
    Repeat for each of the other three pages.
    Save.
    Option: You may want to Group (Arrange > Group) each pages objects before copying them.
    If you are preparing other brochures, you may want to save the result as a template. See Chapter 13, Designing your own Document Templates in the Pages '09 User Guide for instructions and how to prepare the document for use as a template. You can download the guide through the Help menu in Pages '09.

  • How to show Parameter in .rtf  Templates

    Dear All,
    Kindly guide me that how can I show Report Parameters in my templates. I'll be very thankful to you for this.
    Regards
    Zain A. Siddiqui

    Hi Zain,
    If you are still looking for a solution, I would suggest trying this.
    Have another group in your report which selects parameters from fnd_concurrent_requests
    table based on the value of p_conc_request_id of your request..
    This group will show up in your xml which yiou can use.

  • How to Print Margin of subsequent template (Report Builder 6.05.32.0)

    My report consists of 3 parts, part A, B and C. Each part is of different style. Therefore I use 3 templates, each for each style. Part A appears first, then B and C.
    Part A (based on template A):
    - Top margin is printed
    Part B (based on template B):
    - Only printed if part A has NO bottom (template) margin
    - NO top (template) margin is printed
    Part C:
    - Again, NO top (template) margin is printed
    - the whole part is not printed if part B is long
    - NO bottom (template) margin is printed
    Anyone has the same problems ? , got the solution and donot mind sharing ?.
    I'd appreciate if some Oracle report expert out there share with me the report code using different templates.
    Thanks

    How can I fit FIELD to bottom of page without using margin? Yes I know, I can resize frame to whole page and set position manualy ... but in my report contains over nine variants of first page (page to print is selected by data conditions) and over 3 different second pages ... There is problem that I must resize all variants of pages and set field to exact place and this is difficult ...

  • How to set footers in RTF template

    Hi All,
    I need to display t&c at the bottom of each and every page except last page.There is an option for different first page footer, but when i use different first page footer option for first page and for other pages if i give the t&c footer in the next page,its getting displayed in all the pages, is there any way to restrict the footer to be displayed in last page?

    Take a look at the section titled: Last Page Only Content in the following guide. You should be able to create a footer only on the last page using this feature..

  • How to hide codings in RTF Template

    Hi,
    I'm currently making a report which involves intensive calculation logics, for which I have no choice but to write intensive coding such as <?choose:?>, <?if:?>, <?xdoxslt:set_variable....?>. Howevever, even though all my codes are not supposed to output anything (all the logics are for setting up varialbles). There will be blank lines generated in the report outputs which mess up my format. Pls. don't suggest form fields as most of my lines are too long for the form field help properties to handle.
    Does anyone know a good way to hide coding in the RTF which won't affect the layout of the report?
    TIA,
    Jonathan

    BI Publisher 11g MSFT Plugin now offers a feature (not backward compatible) that allows up to 48kb of code in a form field. This enhancement is important as the original MSFT property limited this to be about 393 chars. Check this link for an example of this limitation: http://oraclebiblog.blogspot.com/2009/11/biee-and-bi-publishers-integration-best.html
    regards
    Jorge
    p.s I do not see other option. So please just close this post

  • Creating Parameters in RTF Template for BI Publisher Report

    hi,
    I have created Parameters in my BI Publisher Report and in SQL query. But i need to create same parameters in RTF Template , so that when i publish this report in dashboard , parameters will be visible. Can you please tell me how to create Parameters in RTF Template for BI Publisher Report ? I am not finding option. Please let me know .
    Thanks in advance
    Gayathri.

    all the parameter's value will be there in your xml .
    just you need to add parameter heading and corresponding xml tag name to get the parameter value on the report.
    if u dont have you can try like below
    https://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/entry/get_your_parameters_here_guv
    Declare Parameter in RTF Template
    Before you use the parameter in the RTF template file you need to declare it first. You can do so by having the following syntax.
    <?param@begin:%parameter_name%?>
    Note: where %parameter_name% is the parameter name that you have created at the BI Publisher Server UI.
    Here is an example:
    <?param@begin:param1?>
    Use it in RTF Template!
    Once it’s declared in the RTF template you can start using it as the same way you use the variable. You need to just add ‘$’ prefix in front of the parameter name. Here is the example:
    <?$param1?>
    The above example would print the parameter value in the report output. If you want to use this value in your condition or calculation you can simply use it as ‘$param1’. Yes, it’s that simple.
    If you are not sure if and how the parameter values are passed to the report when you run the report you can use this command in your RTF template, which will return all the parameter values passed to the RTF template at the runtime.
    <?xdoxslt:getXDOProperties($_XDOCTX)?>

  • How to print multiple footers for each page in RTF template xml report.

    Hi,
    How to print multiple footers for each page in RTF template xml report.
    i am able to print ( two sets ) ...
    up to last page ( one template ) and for last page ( another template).
    i want to change the footer information based on the group value printed in the report ( it might be 5 to 6) In every report run.. can you please check and let me know do we have any feasibility to achieve this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    KAP.

    You can remove all other logic, like last page only contents (start@last-page:body), etc and section breaks if any you have inserted manually.
    Just have for-each@section logic.
    It would be difficult for me to guess what you have done without looking at your RTF or describing here.

  • R12 - check printing : How to set RTF template for preprinted stationary

    Hi all,
    We are on R12 instance and have requirement of check printing on preprinted stationary. For this requirement we are customizing standard RTF template.
    Preprinted stationary layout is like upper part ( check nmber, check date) then body part ( invoices details ) and then trailer part ( check amount, supplier name)
    Problem: When I am printing check against only one invoice then print is coming properly but if I print check against more than one invoice then trailer part (check amount, supplier name) is moving forward. I want trailer part to be fixed on same position.
    If anyone have already done this please guide me.
    Thanks n advance,
