How to avoid doubleclick event on a datagrid scrollbars?

Hello.
I've a datagrid.
I need a doubleclick event cliccking on a data grid row.
I've enabled the doubleclick event. It works fine, when the user doubleclicks on a row, an event happens! In my case I open a modal window. Great!
Now the problem:
The problem arises when the user clicks in a short time on a data grid scroll bar (both horizontal or vertical). In this case a double click event is dispatched.
But his intenton is just to scroll the grid, no more.
Please, notice that the dobule click on a scrollbar is a well-known action that can be performed in all the applications and operating systems.
I neet the "double click" event just on a data grid rows and not on its scrollbars. Cliccking twice or more on the scrollbar I just want to scroll the grid. How can avoid to dispatch an event?

I was returning today to add something about custom item renderers but you beat me to it, Pbesi. I have a custom gridItemRenderer which I now have to check for just as you demonstrated above. What I don't understand is why I can't just do this:
if( event.target is IGridItemRenderer ) //Should be true for both default and custom
My custom renderer implements the IGridItemRenderer interface, but when I double click one in the grid, the event.target is not myCustomGridItemRenderer, it is GridLayer. So what I have to do is this:
if( (event.target is IGridItemRenderer) || (event.target is GridLayer) )
I presume this would work for all custom gridItemRenderers, but I only have one, so I haven't tested this. Any idea why GridLayer is the type of the event target? My custom renderer is very simple. It just renders Booleans as "Yes/No" rather than "True/False"

How to process key Events in a JTextArea?

does anybody of you know how i can process KeyEvents in a JTextArea object? i know i can use the processKeyEvent-method but i don't want to process the Event on the current Caret-position - it would be cool to process this keyEvent at a given position anywhere in the text... it works if i set the CaretPosition to this special position, do the processKeyEvent-method and restore the Caret to it's original position but i want the user to be able to type at the same time as the KeyEvent on another place in the text is processed...

I think i know one:-)
Try to override insertString() method of your document.
In fact create your subclass of the document.
the insertString method has parameter offset. It's place in the document where changes should be done. All key type events are converted into the insertString() calls.
So you can do like that
class MyDocument extends DefaultStyledDocument {(or extends PlainDocument for JtextArea. it depends which component you use)

How to process all events with a status of "No Match Found"

I have a requirement of processing records reconciled from the target on the basis of their status as 'No Match Found'. Now I am considering only OIM as a authentic source of Provisioning, so all these records with 'No Match Found' status should get disabled at the target as and when OIM gets an event associated for it.
Can anyone suggest me an idea.

I don't believe an entity adapter will work because you cant do a pre-insert, and the event might not have completed yet on the post-insert.
There are no APIs so you will need to create an instance of the OIM database and run the SQL queries and process the information within them and then you can use APIs. If you create a scheduled task, you need to use the following code which should provide you enough information to perform the query:

There is a problem for new created Label control, which dont fire the "onMousePressed" or other "onMouseXXXX" event, and i have not found any way to do that.

I can confirm the same behaviour when you try to capture eg the mouse clicking events on a progress indicator (also MouseMove). These kind of things are a bit useless most of the time in apps, but nevertheless in fact their event listeners should be correctly implemented or otherwise well documented if not. And in my opinion the javaFx API as well as the language specification/documentation can be far more written in details as it is now. So actually I don't know if SUN wanted that kind of behaviour for controls like that or not.
Somebody from the javaFx SUN team can answer perhaps ?

Of course a workaround with shadow node behind works well if the events will propagate through the label. I didn't test it but think this will work.

One solution would be to prevent the user from clicking another check box while Ted processing of the first has not finished. For this you can user a glaspane.

How to make a dalog process custom events when blocked by modal dialog

Hi,
I would like to understand the way modal dialogs block other dialogs so that I can properly solve an issue I'm having with two modal dialogs, one blocking the other.
I have an application, netbeans platform based, that opens a JDialog, NewDiskDlg, with it's modal property set to true. This dialog is responsible for starting a thread that will process a given number of files, from time to time, depending on some conditions, this thread will send events to the NewDiskDlg.
When this thread is started, the NewDiskDlg creates a new JDialog, also with the modal property set to true. Both dialogs have the same parent, the main window. And this works as I expected, the second dialog, ActiveScanningDlg, opens on top of the NewDiskDlg and, until the thread stops, the dialog stays visible.
When the thread stops an event is sent to this two dialogs signaling that the job has been completed, and here is my problem. The second dialog, the one that is visible when the event arrives, receives the event and executes the dispose() method, releasing control to the NewDiskDlg in the back, but the NewDiskDlg does not receive the event and does not process it correctly.
I understand the no input can be sent to a blocked window, but does that include calling upon the window's methods?
I've been looking for some help on this but my search terms are not good enough to provide me with any useful information. I've also read the topic on the focus system that is present in the Java Tutorial but I feel that that is not what I should be looking at.
The following code is a snippet of the important parts that I described:

You have to check the Tolerance limits set for the following tolerance keys. In case if any where the limit is breached the systems blocks the Invoice as 'R - Invoice verification'. Please check the limits set for all these keys.
AP - item amount variance (if you have activated the item check)
DQ and DW - for Quantity variance
PP - price variance with the order price
ST - date variance
VP - Moving average price variance

I am not sure I understand your problem...
Apparently you have 2 events that require the current value of a latch boolean, is that it ?
If yes, in the event "value change" made on the button you don't need to actualy have the button in the event to get the value. In this event, you can get both the new and old value of the boolean from the "thing on the left hand side of the structure.

Goto transaction SM62 and in there to BckProcEvents tab. There you can create the events.
You just need to specify the name and Description of an event.

How to process Line Selection on ALV Table in ABAP WebDynpro

Hi there,
I have a view with an ALV table whose context node retrieves its data from a Service Call for a method.
The method provides certain data of a database table which the ALV displays.
Now I would like to be able to select one row of that ALV table and after pressing a button or doubleclicking on the row or whatever a different view (as for me it is also ok on the same view) should appear to display the details of that selection.
I only need to know how to retrieve the selected data.
Or its index within the internal table.
I am already looking for hours for a useful thread and actually there is one which obviously is about a similar issue apart from the multiple selection part:

but i am afraid that i don't understand it. Or at least I misunderstand it since it does not work with me.
The system example mentioned in the thread does not help me either because it somehow does not correspond to my needs, does it?
It would be GREAT if somebody could help me with that. Please keep it simple for I am not an expert in webdynpro yet (obviously ^^) and also please explain in detail what I have to do with the context nodes since I am not sure whether the selection is stored in my already existing node or whether I need a special one for that.

If you just want to get one column data of the line that user clicked, use the Web Dynpro Code Wizard to Read Context of attibute you needed, then you will get code as follow:
* Define data for read attribute
    node_alv TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
    elem_alv TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
    stru_alv TYPE if_view_display=>element_alv ,
    item_column_name LIKE stru_alv-column_name.
* navigate from <CONTEXT> to <ALV> via lead selection
node_alv = wd_context->get_child_node( name = if_view_display=>wdctx_alv ).
* get element via lead selection
elem_alv = node_alv->get_element( ).
* get single attribute
elem_alv->get_attribute(
    EXPORTING
      name = `COLUMN_NAME'
    IMPORTING
      value = item_column_name ).
The value of column_name is stored in item_column_name.
If you need the index that the user clicked, try this:
* Definition of field symbol for index
FIELD-SYMBOLS : <fs_index> TYPE data.
* Get the selected index
ASSIGN r_param->index->* TO <fs_index>.
The index of clicked line is stored in field symbol <fs_index>.
