I need to clarify what kind of event you're interested in.
1. When you click once on page/spead widget in the Pages panel and only widget becomes selected. The layout window remains unchanged. OR
2. When you doubleclick on page/spread widget the selected master spread appears in the layout window.
In the first case you work with Pages panel.
Have a look to file PageTransitionsPanelObserver.cpp from SDK.

Suspending Event will be called when a windows store app is minimized. It will not hit the Suspending Event when minimised while debugging, So you need to trigger it manually from the VisualStudio Toolbar.

How to trigger event when changing user status?

hi,
I'm having problems in triggering my workflow.
In CIC0, When a status of a service request is changed to 'solution provided' then after saving service request, it should send a notification mail. I'm using ZBUS200116 which is deligated to BUS2000116. I've created event 'change' in ZBUS200116 which is in the start events of my workflow.
I've tried creating an action profile which uses my workflow. The action profile is attached to the transaction but still it doesn't trigger my workflow.
i've checked other existing workflows which uses the same object type BUS2000116 or ZBUS200116. These workflows were triggered by 'created' and 'completed' events only. Other added events in ZBUS200116 like 'changed' is not triggered. How is this possible when ZBUS200116 is deligated to BUS2000116?

so here we are,now i got complete understanding of what u r doing and why
you know you need not have created that change event because it wont serve your purpose anyway
the reason is that because the way process in your workflow is flowing ,it wont happen that way using change event
you just follow these steps:
1, use created event in your workflow
2. that way when your contract ios created in rpocess status the event will be triggered only because you are creating a transaction whatever may be the status,so in all such cases you should use event created.
3. now coming to the point of change in status or documents in contract
in this case using loop will put you in deadlock and you will only be haing the error in such case
you use WAIT step instead ,inside it use wait using conditions out of every option
there you give your condition as change in whatever status
like if you are chaning the status from in process to some other status ,put that status inside the condition
as soon as that conditioon is met ,the WAIT step will be executed,
that way you will be able to trigger the change in status through thje workflow
so thats the solution with the approach you are using
there are many approaches you can follow in workflows ,so depending upon that you can follow the different worlkflow tools u have there.
also remember when your wait step gets executed there is always the time lag of 20-25 minutes after which changes will be reflected

Finally got this working. You cannot use the stop() or destroy methods. By the time they are called all database connections are gone and you will get a null pointer exception.
You will have to use the onBeforeUnload method in the html file that calls the applet and use JavaScript to call the save method in java which saves the document:

How to handle Event when more that 2 rows are selected in a WD Table

Hello WD developers,
I need your assistance.
My case is as following:
I have a WD table populated with data.
I also have several buttons in the toolbar table.
One of those buttons should be enabled only in case that one row (and only one)
is selected in the table otherwise it should be disable.
The problem is that an even is triggered only when the first row is selected
and when the second (third....) are selected no event occur.
Do you have any idea How can I solve this issue.

Hi,
In the Onlead selection of table make it visible and invisble of your buttons as per your selection.
The table have single selection and multi seletion options are availble when you defing the table you can find this options in the properties of the table.
In onlead selection your button to be mapped with attribute WDVisble.
And based on your selection you can visible and invisible.

and
wdContext.currentContextElement.set<attribute>(WDVisble.NONE);

How to handle Event when a radio button in selection screen is clicked

   What is the Event generated when a radio button is clicked in the selection Screen. My requirement is .If one radio button is clicked a field in selection screen should be greyed.
   Here I used AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT. but this event is generated only if i press 'ENTER' after clicking the radio button in the selection screen.
   Is there any other way to process this radio button event?

How to process Chinese when Oracle charset is US7ASCII

I'm using Oracle8.1.7 with charset in server is AMERICAN_AMERICA.US7ASCII. I can process Chinese with sqlplus, as well as the environment variable NLS_LANG in client is set as AMERICAN_AMERICA.US7ASCII. By with my java application,also with JBuilder's database pilot, I get the wrong character. I have tried thin driver and oci driver. The major difference is that with oci driver, the result
altered when the NLS_LANG is changed. But I can't get normal Chinese words until now. Could anyone tell me how can I handle this? BTW, the charset in DB server can't be changed because some other reason. Thanks in advance.

database character set is US7ASCII, no Chinese
character will be saved into db correctlly at all? Depends on what you mean. Except for EBCDIC most (if not all) character sets (the computer term) use ascii as the base. There are certainly multi-byte chinese character sets that do that. So certainly parts of those will be correctly saved.
And it might also depend on exactly what "US7ASCII" means. In particular if it means that only 7 bits of each byte are saved then you have to use a mapping strategy. If it doesn't really mean that, and 8 bits are used, then multibyte character sets would be saved correctly because a multibyte chinese character set doesn't really do anything except add more 8 bit bytes.
But you still have to get it from java into the database. Java will map it into the character set regardless. One way around this might be to extract string values as bytes using a multibyte character set name (see the String.getBytes(String) method.) Then save that using Statement.setObject() into a string field.
At first, I also think Chinese character will lost it's
high bit when saved into ASCII DB. But another fact
puzzled me. Why sqlplus can save and retrive Chinese
correctlly? Could you please explain to me how does
sqlplus do that. Does it also execute some
transformation before saving into db.I couldn't help you there. It is possible that you just haven't tested enough - you haven't tested the entire character set. Or like I said, it is using an 8 bit ASCII character set and a chinese multibyte character set.
If you search this forum you will find some discussions about using foreign language character sets which might help. I don't recall any with this specific problem though.

Newbie problem - how to refresh frames when selected by a link

A few weeks ago I was handed an antiquated frame-based site to update which has given me more than a few headaches. I’ve managed to acquire a copy of Dreamweaver CS 3 from the power that be, and have been trying to find a solution to the following problem:
I am attempting to tie in a .pdf document into a simple frame template, with a static left-hand frame allowing the user to select and display the anchored point on a .pdf document on the right. This I’ve done with few peoblems, however when the user tries to click another link the dispayed .pdf doc after an initial selection the right-hand frame doesn’t move position to the newly selected anchor point.
This I think is due to the fact that the link refers to the same document, despite the fact that it’s to a different location on the doc. I have been trying to find a way to ‘refresh’ the page when a link is selected so that the right-hand side diplay moves to the correct anchor point, but I’d had little luck.
My question to you all is as follows: is there I can tell CS3 to refresh the right-hand side frame every time a link is clicked? Any help would be appreciated!

The website I'm currently working on is an internal network, so unfortunately it's unavailable for general view. The layout sticks pretty close to the normal two frame dreamweaver template, with a series of created links on the left frame opening an adobe document in the right frame. Very basic but that's largely the intention.
The reason why I am linking to a .pdf document is simply because my work task demands I keep it in use, however since this means future revisions should be fairly easy (working off the same anchor/destination points in the .pdf document text this isnt a huge issue).
Not entirely ideal I know but at least it creates an interesting problem!
If anyone has a easy to create, newbie-friendly alternative to frames whereby I could create a site which links directly to specific areas in a .pdf document on demand I would be a very happy man! Willing to potentially offer beer/first-born as payment.

How to process Line Selection on ALV Table in ABAP WebDynpro

I have a view with an ALV table whose context node retrieves its data from a Service Call for a method.
The method provides certain data of a database table which the ALV displays.
Now I would like to be able to select one row of that ALV table and after pressing a button or doubleclicking on the row or whatever a different view (as for me it is also ok on the same view) should appear to display the details of that selection.
I only need to know how to retrieve the selected data.
Or its index within the internal table.
I am already looking for hours for a useful thread and actually there is one which obviously is about a similar issue apart from the multiple selection part:

but i am afraid that i don't understand it. Or at least I misunderstand it since it does not work with me.
The system example mentioned in the thread does not help me either because it somehow does not correspond to my needs, does it?

Please keep it simple for I am not an expert in webdynpro yet (obviously ^^) and also please explain in detail what I have to do with the context nodes since I am not sure whether the selection is stored in my already existing node or whether I need a special one for that.

If you just want to get one column data of the line that user clicked, use the Web Dynpro Code Wizard to Read Context of attibute you needed, then you will get code as follow:
* Define data for read attribute

The value of column_name is stored in item_column_name.
If you need the index that the user clicked, try this:

The index of clicked line is stored in field symbol <fs_index>.
