How to process summary "% of total" if the "total" is 0

Summary "% of total" is displayed as "*******" if the "total" is 0.
what value is returned by "% of total" in this case, an exception or infinite?
in my particular report, besides create a format trigger to replace "******" with 0, is there any resolution else?

tested, "% of total" will return infinite if the total is zero.
so the program unit should be like,
create a formula column CF_PERCENTAGE with PL/SQL below
if :CS_PERCENTAGE > 1 then
return 0;
else
return :CS_PERCENTAGE;
then display the formula column instead.

I met a problem. I created a GUI to control the audio data processing. When the "Start" button is pressed, a block of data is read from the audio file and processed, then loop.But other buttons or method cannot be operated in that procession until all data is processed.
How to let the other methods work under that circumstance? Should I use multiple threads?

How to show Summary label it in the first column of the sheet?

Hi Gurus,
I am wondering if i could show the Label of summary items in the first column instead of showing it along with the Summary data. As with the long worksheets if the summary column is at far right it doesn't look good and not readable too.

Its really not good in Discoverer. Actually what I'm saying is as follows:
EMPID EMPNAME SALARY
emp01 EMPNMaa 100000
emp02 EMPNMbb 500000
emp03 EMPNMcc 1000000
Sum:------------------- 1600000
But what Discoverer does right now is:
EMPID EMPNAME SALARY
emp01 EMPNMaa 100000
emp02 EMPNMbb 500000
emp03 EMPNMcc 1000000
--------------------------- Sum:1600000
It really looks bad & not al all a user friendly. The sum label comes always with value. I think Oracle should improve it.

How to process stucked holding messages in the Adapter Engine.

Hi experts,
This question is may be familier to all...
There are thousands of messages are in holding status in the Adapter engine in RWB.
I tried to found system error in these messages. There is no system error from the last in my investigation. I tried to restart of the communication channels of the combination of these messages. But it is also not use to fix this problem.
Instead of the restart of the Java engine please let me know is there any possibility to fix this issue.

You can try restarting some of the XI services (e.g. com.sap.aii.af.svc) but usually a java restart is required to free up these blocked threads/queues.
Most likely these messages are in Holding status because there is a blockage in one of the Adapter queues. This can be monitored in the RWB
-> Component Monitoring
-> Adatper Engine XIP
-> Engine Status
-> Additional Data
Find out what adapter queues are causing the blockage and increase the number of threads/queues available to it. This will help prevent the issue occuring again.

Table : Revenue ( Columns - RevId ,InAmount, OutAmount)
Based on the Table i Created Entity Object and Based On Entity I Created View Object (RevenueVOW)
I Created one method --> RevenueVOW to show Create Mode and 4 new Records to show
how i will create summary field to show the total amount on InAmount
( In forms and reports we will create formula column)

First and foremost let me advice you to be very careful while doing this.
You can start from SM37, find the process WID/PID then go to SM50 or SM51 and kill it. Once its done come back to RSMO and check the request, it should be red but again manually force to red and save by clicking on the total status button in the status tab. This shuld ensure that the process is killed properly.
The next step will be to go to targets that you were loading and remove the red requests from those targets.
Note: For source system loads you may have to check if the request is running in the source system and kill if needed and pull it again.
But for BW datamart delta loads u may have reset the datamarts in case u are going to pull the delta again.
Different Ways to stop process chain
1)SM37 -->Kill Job
2)SM50/sm66- ->Kill process
3)RSPC>Job Log>Make the process RED forecefully.
4)RSPC>Process chain> main Menu"Remove from Scheduling" OR
5)se37-->RSPC_API_CHAIN_INTERRUPT
give RFC BW system name(technical) and process chain name(technical)
Steps 1 -3 stops the chain running in process
Steps 4-5 stops the chain AFTER the current job which is running is completed as sucessful or Failure by nature.
Rationale - 4-5
This function will only remove the jobs from schedule, which did not yet run. It will not kill running jobs, as this may leave the system in an inconsistent state, moreover killing processes is possible for synchronous processes only anyhow. This means, that there will be no errors with interrupted chains, which on the other
hand means an interrupted chain is not restartable. So for a running chain this function is intended to be an emergency break only. You can use it, however, to remove a scheduled chain from schedule, such that it does not start except by your product.

How do I load a picture from the clipboard (either Windows clipboard or Labview clipboard) into image data that can then be processed in Labview?

I want to load a picture from the Windows clipboard (and if not possible, then from the Labview clipboard) into actual numerical image data so that it can be processed in lab view. When I'm at the main screen where I can add controls, I see a section of controls called "Vision" in the tool bar where all the different controls can can be added from. When I go to the control called "Image" and put that on my form, and then look at the flowchart/blockdiagram programing window to see what inputs and outputs it has, I only see one output, and no inputs. And when I right click on it, I see NO way to load an image into the Image control. PLEASE help me.

Hi Ben,
National Instruments has an image processing software called Vision and although I am not completely sure, I think the controls that you found in the control pallet are used in conjunction with the software. Depending on what kind of image processing you want to conduct in LabVIEW, you might want to consider purchasing that product.
If cost is an issue, there are functions in LabVIEW which allows you to take in image files and process them. However, please keep in mind that the capabilities are limited.
Images should be loaded onto LabVIEW not via the clipboard but through loading it from folders or directories. (There might be a way to and so if you find a way please let me know! I would like to know myself =D) If you open the function pallet by right clicking on the block diagram, in the programming folder you should find a directory called "Graphic and Sound". There, you'll find functions in which allows you to process images.
In the "Graphic Type" directory there should be a function called Read JPEG file.vi. There are also others which allows you to read png and bmp files. Please note that there are functions which write as well. Set a file path on the block diagram and inside the "Grahic and Sound" there is a "Picture Function" directory and inside there, there should be a function called "Draw Flattened Pixmap.vi" That changes the image into a format where you can process on LabVIEW. Inside the "Picture Function" directory there are several functions which allows you to process the specified image. Play around with it and see how it goes. And don't forget to Write the file in the end to save any changes.

Ideally you would be doing a set based processing rather than traversing row by row as thats more efficient. To answer it specific to your scenario we may need more info. Can you explain with some sample data your exact requirement?

How to add or remove silence at the beging and at end of each audio file using batch process

Hi all,
I am new to this forum. I have been using Audition 3 for the last couple of years and these days I have to coop with an extra difficult situation, which is; I have more than 2000 files that start and finish with a random length of silence, it varies 0 to 7 sec. My question is, how can I set the silent duration at the beginning and end of each file to a constant amount of 2 sec by using batch process?

hello guys,
i have a problem in my labview programs. how to process data in the past based from data in the present ?
i have a formula self-organizing maps
this formula is looking for D1, D1 is neuron index that will be searched for the smallest value.and the result are D1=2 ,D2=5, D3=17 from calculating with formula .it means the smallest value is 2, "2" from weight [2 2] in file attached.
and then it will be in other formula
it mean [2 2] + 0.5 ( [1 1]-[2 2] ) = [1.5 1.5]
and the weight will be [1.5 2 2 ] in matrix
1.5 3 5
I would appreciate any input/help on solving this

Moving your records from internal table into the database table depends upon various scenarios :-
1. If you use INSERT statement.
INSERT <database_table> FROM TABLE <internal_table>.
But in this case, you need to make sure that you don't have any duplicate entries in your internal table that violates data entry into database table, else you will get a dump.
INSERT <database_table> FROM TABLE <internal_table> ACCEPTING DUPLICATE KEYS.
In this case, you are forcefully inserting duplicate records into your database table which may lead to data redundancy in your database table.
2. If you use UPDATE statement.
UPDATE <database_table> FROM TABLE <internal_table>.
This will update the existing records in your database table from the internal table.
3. If you use MODIFY statement.
MODIFY <database_table> FROM TABLE <internal_table>.
This statement works both in combination of INSERT & UPDATE statements.
Existing records (in database table) will be eventually updated/modified and new records (not in database table currently) will be successfully inserted into the database table.

Just for fun (and in case this wasn't done to death in the other thread), the rule posted here states:
Most years have 365 days, but a leap year has 366 days. That adds up to 52 weeks (where each week is exactly 7 days) PLUS 1 or 2 additional days.
