How to programmatically shutdown the webapplication

Hi all,
I have a servlet in which a validity check is done on a file. If this check doesn't pass I want to disable webapp loading and shutdown it.
Obviously, the servlet is loaded at startup.
Thanks for help.

What I want is simply generate an exception and avoid application loading when the check fails, like Context loading errors in Spring for example.Did you try that?

    Hello!
    Can you please tell, how to programmatically place the field BLOCK1.FIELD1 in the canvas CANVAS1.
    At the moment on the field value CANVAS = NULL.
    And when opening the form error "FRM-41014 Cannot set attribute of null canvas item..."
    Thank you

    Youcannot assign a canvas at runtime. Yu have to specify int at designtime and it cannot be changed at runtime. if you need an item in more than one canvas, use a mirror-item (duplcate the item and set the property Synchronize with)

    Use Assistive Touch. Settings App > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > Device > Lock Screen. To turn OFF, hold down on the lock screen until slide to power off appears. To turn ON, connect iPhone to power, charger or USB port of computer.

    That's down to the web site. If "Contact Us" links to a page with details, fine, but as you say, some sites make the link a mailto: link, which automatically opens your default Mail app.
    I don't think there's a setting to change this, but TinkerTool (free) allows you to change some "under the hood" settings, and might help

    Any help would be great.
    I need to programmatically send the token to the webservice and initiate request and response accordingly
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shawn,
    Thanks for your help. I am still struggling. There is a Binary security token element which will contain the public version of the certificate,
    with the certificate itself sent along as base64 encoded data.
    Below is my code, if you can suggest:
    ClientSection clientSection = ClientSection)WebConfigurationManager.GetSection("system.serviceModel/client");
    ChannelEndpointElement endpoint = clientSection.Endpoints[0];
    string endpointStr = string.Format("Address: {0}; BindingConfiguration: {1}; Contract: {2}", endpoint.Address.ToString(), endpoint.BindingConfiguration, endpoint.Contract);
    EndpointAddress remoteAddress = new EndpointAddress(endpoint.Address.ToString());
    NotificationServiceClient client = new NotificationServiceClient(endpoint.BindingConfiguration, remoteAddress);
    X509Store store = new X509Store(StoreName.Root, StoreLocation.LocalMachine);
    store.Open(OpenFlags.ReadOnly);
    X509Certificate2 cert = new X509Certificate2();
    for (int i = 0; i < store.Certificates.Count; i++)
    if (store.Certificates[i].Subject == "E=[email protected], CN=collab-dev.aero.bombardier.net, OU=Aerospace, O=Bombardier Inc., L=Montreal, S=Quebec, C=CA")
    cert = store.Certificates[i];
    //byte[] rawdata = cert.GetRawCertData();
    //BinarySecretSecurityToken token = new BinarySecretSecurityToken(rawdata);
    X509SecurityToken token = new X509SecurityToken(cert);
    client.ClientCredentials.ClientCertificate.Certificate = cert;
    // instead of certificate the enoced token needs to be sent.
    Any help would be great. I am totally new to wcf.
    Thanks.

  • How to programmatically mimic the user action of selecting a button ?

    I am using JAVA Swings to build a desktop application. The application has many buttons, lists and text boxes etc. I have created actionPerformed methods that monitor the source for user action. I am able to execute the code whenever an action is performed by user manually.
    I also require to save the choices, and texts entered by a user during his active run with the application. This is to avoid user to re-enter all the information once again.
    The problem is to programmatically select those buttons and lists which were saved during users earlier session. How can I perform the action event of selecting a radio button from my java code.

    Kiran,
    Your approach is missing the whole idea of Model-View-Controller. I suspect that somewhere you are saving the data of the user's choices. For example, if you have a checkbox, I suspect you have a java bean somewhere containing a boolean value that is set to true when the checkbox is selected, and false when the checkbox is unselected. This process is mediated by a controller, which has a references to the model (the data) and the view (the UI). The controller sets up as a listener to the actions within the UI, and, when notified, sets the appropriate properties of the data, usually into one or more java beans.
    So, on the reverse side of things, the data is read into the java bean(s), and the controller uses that data to set the state of the UI elements. So, your controller can do something like this:
        uiThing.initUI(yourBean);And in the initUI method you have:
        public void initUI(DataBean data) {
             cbxBlue.setSelected(data.isBlue());
             txtLastName.setText(data.getLastName());
             // etc...
        }If you take that general approach, you'll find you don't need to simulate user actions.
    In the few cases within the UI where you think you do, you really don't. An ActionListener is just a receiver of when something like a button is pressed. If your program needs to do the same thing as when the button is clicked, create a method to perform the processing, and invoke it directly, rather than trying to figure out how to programmatically press a button.
         public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
              if (e.getActionCommand().equals("BlueButton"))
                  this.setBlue();
              //... etc.
         private void setBlue() {
             // whatever
         // somewhere else in the code
         private void someProcess() {
              // other work
              // other work
              if (someCondition) this.setBlue();  // rather than forcing an action event
              // other work
              // other work
         }

  • How to programmatically change the feedback device??

    Hello,
    We are using the NI UMI7774, together with a Servo-drive for a linear actuator. In our application, we must first go to a certain position, then maintain a certain force for while, then go back to a certain position....
    For the position control we have mapped the actuator's encoder as the feedback device in MAX - and it works well. For the force control part, we want do use the "Force control using analog feedback"-method (see NI-Motion manual, chapter 13). For this, the force sensor needs to be mapped as the feedback device...
    (1) The question is, HOW can we make this mapping programmatically in our application source code???...is there a method "setFeedbackDevice()" or something??
    (2) Is it likely that we have to have 2 PID-settings (one for the position control part and one for the force control part) and if yes, how can we load the PID parameters programmatically, without opening MAX??
     (3) In the mean time, we have experimented a bit: Using MAX and the encoder as the feedback device, we have positioned the actuator to a certain point. Then we mapped the Force sensor as the feedback device in MAX and pressed Save. However, when we run the force-control-using-analog-feedback example, it didnt work. It still used the encoder as the feedback and hence just moved to a certain position.....We then did another try, where we set the force sensor as the feedback device in MAX, pressed SAVE and pressed INITIALISE.....the actuator subsequently started rattling, without us issueing another move command??.....does anybody know, what this could mean and what we should do????......
    THANKS a LOT FOR ANY ANSWER AND YOUR EFFORTS.......
    p.s. We know that there is also the option of "Force Control using Monitoring Force", but after some discussion on here, it appears that the Analog Feedback-method seems to give better force control results in our application....

    Hi janClose,
    You can change the feedback programmatically by using flex_config_axis(). The axis needs to be stopped when you call this function.
    The control behavior differs significantly when you change the feedback resource, so yes, you will have to tune your axes for both feedback modes seperately. You can change the PID parameters by using flex_load_pid_parameters(). Please note, that you can define two sets of PID parameters and you can switch between these two sets by calling flex_load_single_pid_parameter().
    The last paragraph in the online help for flex_load_pid_parameters() discusses this feature.
    Parameter changes in MAX are not applied before you reinitialize the board, so if you just save the changes the board's operation mode is not affected. The reason why the motor starts rattling when you initialize it, is due to the fact that you are still using the position control PID parameters, which are typically not valid after changing to force control.
    I hope that helps,
    Jochen

  • How to programmatically set the real-time CVI startup DLL?

    Dear NI Support Engineer:
    I'm part of a team of software engineers working on a real-time aerospace app at Honeywell (Coon Rapids, MN campus).  We're using LabWindows/CVI 9.0 and three LabView 8.6 real-time modules.
    Up until now, we've been using the CVI debugger to launch our real-time apps or just copying the app DLL to C:\ni-rt\cvi on the real-time box and setting it as the default startup DLL.
    What we need to do now is create our own directory structure at the root of C: on the real-time box (which, by the way, is using the Reliant file system).
    In fact, we have created directory ug7500 at the root of C: on the realtime box, and two subdirectories (one for data and one for results) directly under directory ug7500.  We'd like to place all of our app DLLs in the ug7500 directory and have the ability to change the default startup DLL programmatically.
    We've been using your LabWindows/CVI Real-time File Copy Utility to set the startup DLL whenever we're not using the debugger.  That was just fine for the first stage of our development.
    At this stage, however, we need be able to set the startup DLL programmatically.  We have not been able to find out how to do this from reading the real-time module documentation.
    Can you either point us at some documentation on programmatically setting the default startup DLL, or e-mail us the instructions, or give us a phone call and explain what steps we must take.
    Thank you very much.

    Hello All,
    For the reference of anyone else trying to do this, you can modify the INI file to change the startup DLL. Using the INI instrument that ships with CVI (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\CVI90\toolslib\toolbox), you can find the StartupDLLs tag and replace the last value with your startup DLL, such as:
    #include "inifile.h"
    #include <cvirte.h>
    static int status;
    static IniText myINIFile;
    int main (int argc, char *argv[])
     if (InitCVIRTE (0, argv, 0) == 0)
      return -1;    /* out of memory */
     myINIFile = Ini_New (0);
     status = Ini_ReadFromFile (myINIFile, "c:\\ni-rt.ini");
     status = Ini_PutRawString (myINIFile, "LVRT", "StartupDLLs", "c:\\NI-RT\\system\\cvi_lvrt.dll;c:\\ni-rt\\system\\nidevldp.dll;nisysapirpc.dll;niorbp.dll;c:\\ni-rt\\system\\mxsemb.dll;c:\\ni-rt\\system\\nipxism.dll;c:\\NI-RT\\cvi\\myStartup.dll;");
     status = Ini_WriteToFile (myINIFile, "c:\\ni-rt.ini");
     return 0;
    Right now, there are some caveates with using CVI 9.0 to manipulate an INI file to be used on an RT target. The INI functions currently add line breaks automatically for large tag values and adds quotes around the values. For many INI files this is ok (such as TestStand INI files), but it will not work on an RT target. To remove these features, modify the following lines of the inifile.c file located in the same directory as the INI instrument:
    1. On line 38, change the default value of INI_NUM_CHARS_PER_LINE from 80 to a large number such as 8000.
    2. Comment out line 953 (newEntry->addMarkerQuotes = addMarkerQuotes;
    Now you should be able to programmatically change the INI file of your target machine and, therefore, change the startup DLLs.

  • How to programmatically Identify the Phase from a managed bean

    How can we identify the Phase from a normal managed bean method ?
    This managed bean method is a method activity in a task-flow. How can we identify the phase..?
    If there is an event then, we can identify the phase using event.getPhaseId() but here there is no event. Can I get the phase programmatically ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    You won't need that with a PhaseListener. You could use something like the following:
    public class CurrentPhaseListener implements PhaseListener
        private static ThreadLocal<PhaseId> currentPhaseId = new ThreadLocal<PhaseId>();
        public static PhaseId getCurrentPhaseId()
            return currentPhaseId.get();
        public void afterPhase(PhaseEvent ev)
            currentPhaseId.remove();
        public void beforePhase(PhaseEvent ev)
            currentPhaseId.set(ev.getPhaseId());
        public PhaseId getPhaseId()
            return PhaseId.ANY_PHASE;
    }Regards,

    How can I programmatically change the width of a Waveform Graph or Waveform Chart? When I create an implicit property node for a graph or chart, it is read-only. Changing the plot bounds worked in earlier versions of LabVIEW, but not anymore.

  • How to Programmatically Set the limit (max, min input) of a control inside a cluster?

    I want to programmatically set the limit (max, min input) of a control inside a cluster. (see attached VI).
    The max, min value will be read from a file. The input of the control must be within the range defined by the max and min value.
    Can anyone tell me how to do it?
    Thanks a lot for your kind help.
    Xiaogang

    Accessing the properties of a cluster (or array) is not a trivial operation until you have done it once. It's a two step (at least) process : first, ask for a reference (array of...) to the objects contained in the cluster, then tell LV what kind of object you are adressing.

  • How to programmatically get the serial number of DeviceNet card?

    I'm using LabVIEW 6.1 and NI-DAQ 6.9.3.
    I notice that in MAX 4.0.2 the serial number of my PCI-DNET card comes up.  Is there some way I can access this programmatically in LabVIEW, either thru the DAQ driver or via the NI-DNET (version 1.4.1) LabVIEW driver?

    Thanks!  That worked perfectly.  Another thing I'm attempting to do is programmatically retrieve the (device-specific) input/output lengths necessary for I/O connections.  I can get this of course using the Get DeviceNet Attribute.vi using classID 5, instance ID 2 (e.g.), attribute IDs 7 & 8.  However, this will work only AFTER the I/O connection has been opened; and to open the connection, I need to have this information!
    SimpleWho appears to retrieve this info somehow (perhaps thru the CAN driver).  Any ideas on how I can mimic this behavior from within LabVIEW (versions above)?
    Thanks!

  • Lidswitch:How to just shutdown the screen but not hibernate the system

    I used to set HandleLidswitch = hibernate in /etc/systemd/logind.conf and when I close the lid, only the screen was turned off and everything went on in the system. So I can sit there waiting for the work done without being distracted from the flashing outputs of gcc.
    But after reinstalling the system(I made a stupid mistake), it seems that after HandleLidswitch is set to "hibernate", it completely shutdown the computer, which stick to the defination of hibernate, but not what I want.
    How can I get the good old feature back? Thanks in advance!

    You can set HandleLidSwitch=ignore and then set what you want with acpid.
