How to Re-query a standard form.

Hi there,
There is a need to Requery a standard Service Request Form.
When "Launch Workflow" button is pressed, it updates a DFF at the database.
After this if we wish to add description in Task Description Field, it throws error "Record updated by another user"
As Attribute value has been changed at the database but this value is not reflected on the Standard Form.
we have to hit CNTRL+F11 manually before we can update any field again..
Is there any way to Re-query the form?
Is it possible through Form Personalization on some event?
I have tried DO_KEY(EXECUTE_QUERY) but its not working.
Please help.

In general, its more easy to re-read the updated value in the POST-UPDATE (or POST-INSERT) trigger instead of doing a full re-query.But i'm not quiet sure if you're talking abount an eBusiness-form and if its possible to intercept that trigger there.
I did try GO_BLOCK before DO_KEY('EXECUTE_QUERY')So, is the execute-query executed or not? Did the GO_BLOCK succeed? If not, any errors?
You could also issue an EXECUTE_QUERY; instead of a DO_KEY('EXECUTE_QUERY');

I'm not aware of any "session date button". A button on a form can be disabled using the set_item_property.
Use the layout editor and double-click the button. It will tell you what button it is. The button will also be highlighted in the Object Navigator window.

How to find the SAP Standard form given the variant name.

I am working on forms, How to find the standard form given
print program name or the variant name .
for eg:
given
print program is RKFORD10
varinat is SAP06
The SAP standard Form is F140_ACC_STAT_01.
I need to find the standard form given the variant as SAP13.

How to modify query statement in record grp of LOV in standard form

We are using Service contracts in Production environment.
Duplicate rows selected for LOV query.
By adding a line userenv('language') we solve the problem.
But the coding was written inside the standard "OKSITMSL.pll". Here For the Field "NAME", LOV
record group "CUST_SYSTEM" assigned dynamically based on
other fields "ITEMSEL.FILTER = SYSTEM" and "ITEMSEL.CUSTOMER_FILTER = CUSTOMER".
I have added piece of the details below.
Form is Standard form "OKSITMSL", Which is calling om parent form "OKSAUDET".
Form : OKSITMSL
Block : ITEMSEL
field : NAME
pll : OKSITMSL.pll
oksitmsl.pll coding-------------

We have to copy them to '800'. (this is your own company define client no)
All Standard Scripts and their respective print programs are listed in table 'TNAPR'.
Ex: FORM MEDRUCK has the Driver Program SAPFM06P.
NOTE: Never make any changes to the Standard Driver Programs
STEP 1.
Goto Transaction Code <SE71> and
select from Menu UTILITIES ->Copy from Client.
Enter the Standard Form Name, It source Client 000 and the target Form Name that you want it to be saved as on your client.
Say you are naming it as zmedruck1.
Click on EXECUTE.
STEP 2.
Converting form to English.
Open zmedruck1 in <SE71> With language DE.
Then goto UTILITIES -> Convert Original Language from DE to EN.
Then you can modify the layout for example, chaging the logo, or changing the headers, or adding any new code to do some calculation etc.,
SAVE THE CHANGES AND ACTIVATE.
Then select from the menu FORM -> CHECK -> TEXT.
SELECT your driver program name from the list adn click on COPY.
If you don't see the program name in the list then click on
'APPEND PRINT PROGRAM' and add your program name and then select it from the list and click on COPY.
STEP 3: Assigning our form to the standard print program.
Start Tr.Code <NACE>.
In our present case since we are working on 'Purchase order' we have to select EF and click on the button Output Types.
Then on Right hand side, scroll down and select NEU - New P O Printout.
(This may change for different programs).
Then Double click on Processing Routines on Left hand side.
Change from Display -> Change Mode.
Give your form name (zmedruck1) for printoutput and SAVE.
STEP 4:
Start Tr.Code <ME22N> since you are working on Purchase order and click on print Preview to make sure your layout etc., changes are OK. If not again you have to make the changes accordingly.
If every thing looks ok then you can print your form.

If I understand correctly your explanation, your called form
fails to activate the LOV in enter-query mode when it is deployed
and test on the browser.
So lets proceeed like this, to make it work in all environments,
let us programetically activate the LOV.
HOW?
In the called form, write in the WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE TRIGGER
at block level (if have more than one LOV)
IF :SYSTEM.MODE = 'ENTER-QUERY' THEN
IF get_item_property(:system.cursor_item,lov_name) IN ('YOUR
LOV1', 'LOV2' etc) THEN
IF SHOW_LOV(get_item_property(:system.cursor_item,lov_name))

END IF;
The above code maybe tweak to suite your need and condition.
This way, we explicitly make the LOV appear in ENTER-QUERY mode
whenever the user clicks on an item with an attached LOV.

How to implement enter-query , execute-query in Apex Forms

I am new to Oracle Application Express. I want to know what is the equivalent of ENTER-QUERY and EXECUTE-QUERY features of Oracle Forms in Oracle APEX? I saw a lot of documentation, but everywhere I found that APEX forms only have 3 database actions, (1) INSERT (2) UPDATE & (3) DELETE.
Does anybody know how we can do QUERY in APEX Forms? (like we do in Oracle Developer Forms).

Oracle APEX is a web/ stateless environment. So you do not have the same functionality/ features as in a Oracle Forms environment which is session/state oriented.
You can however achieve functionality similar to Enter Query / Execute Query through other means.
The easiest is to use the Forms with Report wizard. It creates 2 pages, the first one is a report and the other a Form. Clicking on the Report rows takes you to the Form page in Edit mode where as the the Create button takes you to the Form in Insert mode.
If you want to have the enter-query / execute query on a single page it will require significant effort and skills. Try it when you have acquired some more skills in Apex.
In APEX , like any other web application, you have to think in the web paradigm and not client-server. Even Forms 11g is essentially client-server like and is session oriented through the forms applet.

How to execute immediately a query in a form

Hi,
I've got a form which opens another form on which I have created a data block based on a FROM clause query where the where clause has a column joined a GLOBAL variable initialized in the first form.
How can I get the second form execute immediately the FROM clause query when called from the first form?
I've tried to insert in the second form called a trigger WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE where I have the following code.
BEGIN
GO_BLOCK('my_block');
EXECUTE_QUERY;
END;
I thougth that the EXECUTE_QUERY executed by default the FROM clause query I've inserted in the Query Data Source Name of the Data Block but I don't see anything when the second form is called by the first form, just the message "FRM-50505 unable to perform query" I've tried to perform the query inserted in the Query Data Source Name executing it directly on the DB and it works

I am currently working on ASTRCALL.fmb , I am currently facing issue that some common elements found in the standard form ASTRCALL.fmb given with R11 are not to be found withR12 (i.e. like data block ASOOTHIS_CONTROL). Can you please tell how to fix this issue as , i need to reterofit form based on this .

use tcode SE37 to create a NEW form with the name z_xxxxxxx, and in any of edit screen, you can follow the menu path "Form -> Copy From ...", choose the standard form.
2. How can i check the print program of a certain form?
There are some database table for store the information, such as, TNAPR ... and so on.
3. How can I convert sapscripts form into smartforms?
It's something difficult to covert sapscripts into smartforms, for more details, you can read the SAP COURSE BC470.
B.About REPORTS...
4. How can i set the page length and width of a report?
In the ABAP editor, put the cursor on the keyword REPORT, and press F1, you will get what you want.
5. How can i set the margins(left, right, top, bottom) of a report?
Use WRITE and SKIP.

there depending on the functionality select the application.
for Sales u have Application V1
for purchase order u have application EF
select one application and click on output types pushbutton
for an example select EF application and click on output types
now u get different output types select NEU new PO printout
and double click on the processing routine folder on the left hand side of the screen
Now u get the different processing routines .
in that u have print output there u can see form routine and FORM .
HERE U CAN GIVE UR OWN FORM WHICH IS CREATED IN SE71 BY DELETING THE STANDARD FORM.

I Oracle Credit Management module on "Create Credit Application: Applicant" form I need

Hi Marcin,
You have to find your GO button is handled in which standard controller, (if you click on the about this page, you should be able to identify the controller,
or you can download all the controller .class files and decompile and check the logic).
Then extend that controller(which has the Go button logic, you can see how it has been handled.),
The usual way to check is
if(pageContext.getParameter('<Go button name>') !=null)
Since you want to validate first your custom validation, in the extended controller ProcessFormRequest
dont call the super.processFormRequest unless your validation is success.
Call the super at the end.
Inside your extended controller you have to find your AM and then your required ViewObject to get the user entered values.
