Unable to get the report source - ReportViewerBean getReportSource()

Hi Folks,
i'm developping an applet which show reports. All reports are generated on the server side (servlet)... and then sent to the applet. On the server-side, i used ReportJavaBean.writeExternal() method to write (serialize) on the stream and on the client-side (applet), i used ReportJavaBean.readExternal() method to get the data back and then show the report on the report viewer. But i always get a null value on the getReportSource() method call...
The reason i used the reportjavabean is the small size of the library which has to be comppile with the applet and he's standalone (This library does not depend of other libraries).
any suggestion would be appreciate..

Doh...
but why writeExternal() and readExternal() methods does exist? Why ReportViewerBean does implement Externalizable, Serializable if in fact we can't use it?
Do you have any suggestion on how to solve my problem? There is so much relationship between JRC libraries that i have no choice to get them all the compiled project which gives an applet of 25MB!?

Even Im facing the same issue.. Reports are working fine... For testing, I opened Analysis page and created a query with 2 columns.. Results are coming but log is not appearing.. The issue is still the same...

My formatting gets lost and the message looks unintelligible. After some experimentation, I found that if the message exceeds some length, the formatting is removed. Since I couldn't find any way to delete this post, I made another post with the same subject. Unable to print the report after SP2 (CR 2008 / VS 2008)?

I'm developing an ASP.NET application using VS 2008 (Framework 3.5). I have installed CR 2008 with SP (0, 1, and 2).
I created an invoice report and I printed it as test for the report and it works okay. I needed to change the page size of the report to a user defined size and reset all of the margins to zero.
After I did that I was unable to print the report again and every time I tried to print the report nothing gets printed.
I checked my environment to find the cause of this problem but I found nothing except that I'm using CR runtime for SP1 and I'm currently using SP2. So I did remove CR runtime for SP1 and install CR runtime for SP2.
The problem didn't go away and I faced one more problem.
Usually I'm using a dataset as a data source for my reports. After installing the CR runtime for SP2 I couldn't see any date column in my report data source (Dataset). All other types of columns appear except date fields! Why I have no Idea?
After I do some more testing regarding my issue I found out the following
1. When I add a new report to my web application and I don't change the page setting the report work fine.
2. When I change the page setup settings (Page Margins, horizontal width and vertical height) the report show up okay but never gets printed.
Why I don't know?
Addition to that the report dataset (Data Source) showing in the field explorer never shows any date type field?
All of the above issues happened with me after installing SP2.
OS: WindowsXP Pro SP3
CR 2008 (SP 0, 1, 2)
VS 2008 SP1
Please I need your help.

Unable to find the report in the manifest resources

Hi!I have problem using Crystal Report documents created in Visual Studio 2005 using the build-in version of Crystal Reports. If I create a project from scratch with one report and then some code to initialize and export the report to disk I get the following error message:"Unhandled Exception: CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LoadSaveReportException: Unable to find the report in the manifest resources. Please build the project, and try again."I have tried using both the "Embedded resource" and the "Content" options during build, but with no luck at all. I have a similar issue but in 2003.net using the bundled CR package. I'm trying to use CR in a Web Service called from a Compact Framework device. I've confirmed I'm using the correct Merge Modules & my Build Actions are all set as stated in the CR Application Deployment document but it still spits out Unable to find the report in the manifest resources
I've looked extensively on the net and while others have had this problem the only advice I've seen revolves around embedded build actions and using the correct merge modules. There must be something else causing this problem and some one who has found a way round it?!?
If your that someone please take 5 minutes out and help a couple of guys in distress?

BOFC Unable to start the data source

Ok, problem solved.
I had to create a seperate DCOM user and assign it to the following roles in windows:
log on as a batch job
log on as a service
then assign this DCOM user to the Ctbroker and CTserver. As i'm not running this on a domain, there was no need to use 'packet level authentication'. So i set the authentication level to none.
There was no need to use the web based admin interface. Ctadmin.msc worked perfectly.

Siebel 8.0.0.12 Fix Pack; Unable to get the seed from binary file.

Hello Folks,
Can anyone throw some light into what action is required on my scenario.
I have applied Fix Pack Siebel 8.0.0.12 on top of 8.0.0.11 SBA. After it is appled, I am facing a documented issue within the Release Notes for the 8.0.0.12 Fix Pack
The issue is "UNABLE TO LAUNCH URL AFTER APPLYING SIEBEL 8.0.0.12". I tried the steps given with the MR document, however, I am still having this issue.
I am also not sure what is expected at the step of; Run the following command: seedgeneratorutil myseed.dat abcdef .
It's asking me for a value to enter for seed at command prompt. "Enter the seed":
what I should give here. As an assumption values,I gave SADMIN and tried to launch but still shows up the same error

You mixed Java and Javascript in the expectation that they runs simultaneously.
You are Wrong.
You need to distinguish between the server side languages and client side languages. Java/JSP runs at the server side and produces a HTML page with other client side stuff in it like CSS and Javascript. When the HTML page is finished, it will be sent to the client and then Java/JSP stops. Once the HTML page is arrived at the client, there is no one line Java code in it, only its output/result. Do a View Source in your favourite web browser to see it. Only from that moment on, Javascript runs and/or can be invoked.
Whenever you want to use Java variables in Javascript, you need to print them out as a Javascript variable. Whenever you want to use Javascript variables in Java, you need to invoke a request to the server and pass them as parameters. The request can be either synchronous (a link or a form submit) or asynchronous (ajaxical).

Unable to get the Text proerty of Range class

I am using the Text property of Range class for excel template development using VSTO.While reloading the template i am getting the error "Unable to get the Text proerty of Range class".If i skip this line of code,i am getting similar kind of errors while accessing the properties of Range class(like Range.copy() ,Range.Locked, Range.EntireRow.Hidden).In all these cases i am getting the similar kind of error "unable to get the property of Range Class".

In the first load of the template,this code is working fine.In the reload i am getting the error at "rngCell.Text".If i see in quickwatch,most of the properties of "rngCell" object are throwing "System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException".See the below exception information.

Unable to get the file system information for: \\****servername\E$\; error = 64 Unable to distribute content to DP

One of our DPs has stopped loading content.
I've research for quite a bit and cannot find a clear cut reason to this. This server only has a DP role, I verified sharing permissions, all looked good. This DP has been running just fine for the last year or so and all sudden it will no longer load
packages. The disk drive is still present I can still reach the hidden share \\servername.com\E$
Verified that the SMSSIG$ folder is there and the last entry is from 4/23/2015
SCCM 2012 R2
OS 2008 R2 Standard
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Error 64 is being returned which is simply "the network name is no longer available".
There can be a number of reasons for this from SMB compatibility issues (2003 servers wont support SMB2), to the expected and actual computer name of the boxes don't match (tries to authenticate with server.tld.com when the actual name is srv-01.tld.com and
you just put a C-name in). I'd start from the top: Try opening said share from the Primary Site server as that's the box doing the work. Verify the IP and computer name is legit and that no one has played ACL games between the two systems (remember
RPC only initiates/listens on port 135 but established connections are up in the dynamic port range).
At the end of the day it's an issues "underneath" SCCM, and not an SCCM problem specifically.

APEX_UTIL.GET_PRINT_DOCUMENT Error Unable to get the document

Hi,
 I am working on Oracle APEX 4.1 to send the report as an attachment through mail I am unable to get the document while calling the APEX_UTIL.get_print_document. I have created a report query and report template (rtf template) so as to send the report as an email attachment. The report works fine individually upon clicking of button so there is no issue in BI publisher configuration. I am sure there is something very trivial which I am missing out here. Any help will be appreciated.

Try removing the parameter p_print_server from the call. This will use your default print server which should already be configured to use the BI Publisher engine.

Unable to get the admin object for the CsContainerAdmin service

Hi,
On AIX, we deployed XIR2 SP2 --> XIR2 SP3 --> SP3 Productivity Pack.
The Conection server does show up on the server list in the CMC, but on trying to access this server, it throws an error" Unable to get the admin object for the CsContainerAdmin service"
Tried to manually create another Connection server, same result.
Is this an issue that is addressed by a later FP?

Were you able to resolve this issue? I am facing the same issue with almost every BOE 11.5 SP3 server on Windows.
For example, the Input file server says this -
"Unable to get the admin object for the FileServerAdmin service for server Input.BOCMSMSGT1.fileserver".
Getting the same error on WebI Report Server as well -
There was an error while retrieving data from the server: Unable to get the admin object for the WebiServerAdmin service for server BOPROCENG1.Web_IntelligenceReportServer.webiserver

Unable to find the report in the manifest resources. Please build the project, and try again.

The error is received when i transfer the .exe file, bin\Debug folder to another machine:

The error is issued when i try to open the form that contain the Crystal report viewer, I already checked the properties of the report file and it says "Embed Resource" in the "Build Action"
This error is not visible on my development machine where visual studio is installed, anybody know what i should install on the other machine for this to run.
I'm using C#, WinForms, .net 2.0, VS 2005.

Setting the build action to Embedded resource is working
in my local machine which has Visual studio 2003 installed. But when i deploy the same on Server
(server has no .net framework installed on it), it keeps failing. I get the the following error:
"ERROR Thrown from Crystal Reports ===> An undocumented error occured" which is triggered when it is Unable
to find the report in the manifest resources.
Please suggest me guys....

Unable to view the report in Report builder

Hi
we have developed a report and when we run it using developer suite 10g reports,
the previewer opens but we are unable to see the data completely which is hidden by the
Runtime parameter form.
Please let us know how to hide this when we are viewing the report previewer.
