How to read ABAP STACK of another report

Hi,
I wish to read the ABAP STACK of another report which may or may not be running in debugging mode.
First of all is it possible. if yes then pls reply.

Hhhmm, ok, then I really didn't understand your request. Here's something that might come closer, but is actually of questionable value due to timing issues: Assuming that you know already the debugging takes place on the same application server you could call function module TH_GET_WPINFO and check for any processes with WP_WAITING = 'Debug'. For those take the work process number WP_NO and get the details via TH_WP_DETAIL_INFO (feeding the work process number into WP_INDEX and evaluating the parameter DIAREC-REPORT. However, this doesn't give you call stack and I'm pretty sure it always just contains the current main program that's running. Not to mention the fact that between the calls the debugging might have ended... (though in the second call it seems that WP_INFO-WP_ISTATUS = 8 seems to indicate that process is in debugging from the few tests that I did).

Thank you very much for your answer, but want to know in detail (Technical Point of view) why it is not
possible. As we can use SLD of another server by maintaining details in SLDAPICUST transaction,
similarly cant we use java stack components of one server from ABAP stack of another PI Server.
Just a query ??
If you can put a light on this area it will be very helpful for us.

How to read Data of a Webi Report

Hello Friends,
I have a task where I need to read data of a Webi Report, how can it be done?
Basically I have a trigger report which runs every day and get the latest RACN number from the database. I am trying to get that RACN number from trigger report using BOBJ SDK.

Is the RACN Number a column or dimension in your webi report? Is it a universe object(webi based on universe)
Also what version of BusinessObjects you are using?
If you are using XI 3.1 and you need to retrieve objects from a webi report it can be done using the ReportEngine SDKs.

How to get the value from another report Customizes Form

Dear all,
I create a report such as
select * from mytable.table1
where field1 = :bind_variable
I create a menu to run this Customized Form and user have to select the bind_variable values. So I have another report created which also want this bind_variable as it WHERE Clause. But I don't want my user to key the same bind variable twice. They can just same the Customized Form and run for both report.
Could anybody know how to get the bind_variable on 1st report and used by the 2nd report.

are you on BI7.0? There you can create variables type replacement path and get the value out from a different variable without any coding.

How to add abap stack to existing NW Java engine- for XI installation

Hi All,
I am having a netweaver Java Stack installed on my system. I would like to install XI - in order to install Xi ,I guess the system should be ABAP + Java. But since I am having java based engine, I would like to add ABAP stack to it. So, my question how to add an ABAP stack to already existing JAVA/J2ee engine.
So what this process is known as-- Is it upgrading or New Installation. Because I need the guide and CD's for it.
Can any one tell me which Guide(Install/upgrade/Master) wud help me.

How to read the attribute in another context node from setter method

i need to read the STRUCT.E_MAIL ( attribute ) present in INDEPENDANTEMAIL context node from the SET_S_SRUCT method of the context node HEADER.

If one user wants to run his ABAP program that resides in Client 900 with the data in Client 500, can he do it? both the clients reside in the same SAP system (the same physical SAP server).

How do I get a variable, or object from ABAP STACK.
Example: I start my FM. I can see in the ABAP STACK the variable I need. I can see the object; I could use to get my variable. I need to use it in my FM; however I need to reference it in the run time. How do I do that?
Is there a method I can use for reading ABAP STACK?
Do I just use command: get reference of u2026?
Does anyone have an example code?

Ah, you mean you want to access a variable from another program in the call stack, yes? You can do this using field symbols, but please don't try to change a value while doing this, it could really screw things up.
this example, is using two programs, where the second is accessing variables of the first program. Basically just notice that we are using the program name and the variable name when assigning the field symbol.

How to read stdio of another program

Hi,
I have a program that reads data from PC serial port and prints that into the command prompt (stdio) in text format.
The idea has been that the output is redirected to a file and then the file is analysed off-line with Excel or Matlab.
Now I would like to make a front-end program with LabWindows that shows the data graphically in real-time.
I don't want to change the original program that reads the port and prints the data to command prompt as it is needed as such also in the future.
The question is how to read the stdio of another program in real-time with LabWindows?
I have tried LaunchExecutable() to start the other program from LabWindows but cannot get hold of the data printed on the command prompt.
There are examples of DDE-solutions for two programs to exchange data but this seems an overkill for my problem as there is only one-directional data that I want to read into the Labwindows program.
I thought that it would be quite common to implement such a graphical front-end to display real-time graphics of some old text-based program. Amazing that there seems not to be good and easy solutions for LabWindows.
(I did implement a quick solution with Qt but LabWindows would offer much better graphical elements for drawing the measurement data.)

Thank you for the link.
I implemented those short programs in LabWindows and tried them. Yes, works perfectly!
Write-program's output is redirected to a file with ">" and the Read-program can read the file even if the programs are running simultaneously.
The bad news is that this does not work with the program that I need to use.
There is a small difference in the behavior of the programs that write output to the command-promt. I don't understand why.
1) The small Write-program implemented from the link opens a new command-prompt where the output goes if there is no redirection. And if there is the redirection ">" it still opens the new command-prompt but it stays empty as the ouput goes to the file. (And the Read-program can read the file; everything works okay.)
2) The program that I need to use does not open a new command-prompt when started; it's output goes to the same command-prompt where it is started from. With redirection the output goes to the file; no new command-prompt this time either. But the problem is that the reading program cannot read the file. The Read-program can read the file if it has been created and written before. But not if it tries to read it at the same time that it is written by the other program.
Maybe this is a simple problem if you know how to solve it... :-/

The syntax is correct (except the & after the ?)
You are using a "relative URL" . It means the browser will use the protocol , server and port from the current page in order to build a full URL
(full URL = <protocol>://<server>:<port>/reports/rwservlet?report=test&destype=cache&desformat=html)
