How to rearrange field positions in the user form

Hi all,
I have added some fields to user creation form, i want to rearrange these fields (like i want to keep some fields which i created in the begining and some in the end ) .is it possible to rearrange the fields.If, can anybody help me by giving detailed steps.

To rearrange your User Defined Fields you just have to edit the "order" column in the UDF Form in Design Console.
If you want to put an User Defined Field between the Default Fields, the process is a bit more complex:
1) Set the field property VISIBLE to false.
2) Open the FormMetadata.xml file (oim_server_home\xellerate\config\FormMetadata.xml).
3) Declare your UDF there, just before the line <Form name="3"> (this is the create user form):
(e.g.)
<Attribute name="-1003" label="Country" displayComponentType="ComboBox" variantType="String" dataLength="1" map="USR_UDF_COUNTRY">
     <ValidValues lookupCode="Lookup.Country" selectionColumn="lkv_encoded"/>
</Attribute>
4) Finally add the reference to this field to the <Form name="3"> section, in the desired position:
(e.g.)
<AttributeReference editable="true" optional="true">-1003</AttributeReference>
An important note is that (in my experience) this procedure only works for optional fields. I don't know why it fails when I do it with mandatory fields.

    Hi Paul,
    Have a look at these tables.
    Using table BUT000 the central business partner data are stored, f.e. partner type, partner names, partner number, partner guid, person number, etc. In table BUTBKK the bank data to a business partner are stored.
    Central business partner address data
    The table ADRC is used for the address of a business partner. Table BUT020 links the business partner number with the address number. Using table BUT021 several addresses to a business partner with different usages (modes), f.e. correspondence or delivery address, can be stored. The personal data of a business partner person are stored with key person number in table ADRP. The person number is assignd to a business partner person in table BUT000. Communication data of business partners as e-mail, telephone, fax, etc. are stored in the tables ADDR1 u2013 ADDR12. The business address of a contact person or an employee consists of the organization address (company resp. org.-unit) and of an address addition, which describes f.e. a building, a room number, etc. The address addition is stored in table ADCP and is identified by the keys address number of the organization address and person number.
    Relationships between business partners
    Table BUT050 contains the relationships between a business partner organization and a business partner person using relation types. The relation types are defined in table TBZ9, f.e. the relation type u2018has employeeu2019 corresponds to identifier u2018BUR010u2019, the relation type u2018has contact personu2019 corresponds to identifier u2018BUR001u2019. Table BUT051 stores communication data of a contact person relationship (compare to table ADCP). Table BUT052 stores several address numbers to one business partner relationship (including a standard flag).

    I use PFCG to create a role which limit the choices of menu.  I create a user and set the role to the user.
    I would like to disable or hide the COmmand Field so that the user cannot enter transaction code directly.

    anyway you are going to restrict the user authorization vai role, insted of going throught the whole tree to execute the tcode there is shotcut as command line. here you can save much more time for the user insted going through the tree always. there is no harm for the system if you keep the command line option. What and why you think it should be disabled?

    You will have to use the 'READ LINE' command within a loop to retrieve the data back into your program.
    You may want to use the HIDE command to ease the retrieval of the checkbox value.

    I don't think it is possible and feasible for adding new field value to the field VBTYP because it is not possible through SPRO.
    If u see the domain of this field VBTYP we have fixed values provided by SAP. There is no value table for this. If u have value table then it will be updated through SPRO. But still if u really want to add some value u can do that by getting access key and add the value in the fixed values of the domain. But of no use other than simply displaying in F4. Because for what ever value u created here there will be no documents in VBAK or any table using this domain.

    You can have a partner function like 'Created by' and use an exit to populate the User ID to this partner function(dont have the system right now but i think this can be done with standard partner detr. procedure also)
    Then, create an Output type for that Partner function with transmission medium as 'External Send'. You can use the standard SAP program to trigger the email. To send the actual email after the output is trigerred, the link connection has to be set up be BASIS but if you want to check, then goto SOST and see if the email got trigerred or not.

    I am making a almost check list for my boss while he inspects die cast machines. He would also like to use the form so clients can fill the form out themselves and send them to us. Problem is if my boss is inspecting 10 machines it doesn't make sense if he he has to input his e-mail in the e-mail tab everytime to know that he filled one out on my end.

    But you could pass the user-agent as incoming claim type Client User agent. User-agents can be manipulated, so if that is an issue you can look into Device Registration and the Device OS type from there. That is also a incoming claim but requires DRS and
    DRS is not available for all plattforms.

    Enable trace in the System Configuration object.
    From Debug page > List Objects> Configuration> System Configuration. Click Edit.
    Look for Workflow Trace and enable it. Write it to a file if it is your local server. If it is a remote server then set the value of console trace to true.
    This will genetrate the output onto the browser.

Currently if I try to bring an icon in the form it is just displaying the text value corresponding to the icon even though the icon is of data type  ICONTEXT (For Example:Instead of displaying a icon in green it just displaying the corresponding text values like '@@4' ) .     Hi,
    The ADS will not understand this as an icon and create it on the PDF. If you want to insert an icon in the
    PDF you should insert it as an image in the Designer.

  • Order of execution of the user form

    If for Active synch configuration there is one admin assigned who has a form say AdminForm. At the same time there is one Active syncuser form attached say ActiveSynchUser form. What will be the order of execution of the two forms.
    Will the ActiveSynchUserForm gets evaluated first and then the user form attached to the admin or it is other way.

    keep in mind that prcidence in this case means that BOTH forms are executed.
    i believe the form assigned to the active sync is first..then the form assigned to the admin user is second.
    i could be wrong on this as we dont use the admin forms for Active Sync. I have found them to be very limiting in your ability to fulfill requirements. You may wish to look into executing a workflow on each account instead of using the forms. Sun will reccommend using the forms, but again, I have found them to be extremely limiting in practice.

    I have a requirement of showing a particular fiels data to only one user and to hide that critical data to others. For example, suppose I have two users viz, Primary user and Secondary user. I have a field named UID in my protected pdf form which has some critical data. I want only my Primary user enter and view the information entered in the UID field. When the Secondary user opens the document using his credentials, he should not be able to view the data in the UID field. It should be displayed in astrix as in a password field. Can anyone help me how to acheive this for a protected document?

    It is possible. You should be having a field in your XSD schema for the username. Bind the username to a hidden field in your form.
    In the designer, in form initialize event,
    write the code: if hiddenfield.rawValue == "person A"
                                 subform1.presence = "hidden";
                           if hiddenfield.rawValue == "person B"
                                 subform2.presence = "hidden";
                                 subform1.presence = "visible"   }
    In your process, when your moving from one step to other step, update the uname accordingly and the form will respond according to the username.
