How to recover old oracle

Last Sunday, my system crash and i installed new copy of windows. I have installed new oracle in C:\ and i have already copied previous oracle folder that i have installed in previous OS, to D:\. Now i have to use previous oracle database.
How to do that?
Thank you

It is important to mention which Oracle version you're talking about.
Once you have installed ORACLE, you can restore your database by restoring it to the original path. Next you'll have to create the Oracle Service with oradim
oradim -NEW -SID sid | -SRVC srvc | -ASMSID sid | -ASMSRVC srvc [-SYSPWD pass]
[-STARTMODE auto|manual] [-SRVCSTART system|demand] [-PFILE file | -SPFILE]
[-SHUTMODE normal|immediate|abort] [-TIMEOUT secs] [-RUNAS osusr/ospass]
in 9i syntax slightly changes.
If you've got your previous backup, restore the tnsnames.ora, listener.ora and sqlnet.ora to their original path and startup listener.
Make sure your oracle service and oracle instance are started, you should be able to access your database now.

Hi and welcome to the Skype Community,
You cannot recover old chat messages, I'm afraid. Skype will only synchronize maximum the last 30 days of conversation when you start it for the first time on a new device.

  • How to recover old OS X installation on the ssd after installing a beta OS X on a usb thumb drive?

I just installed the brand new OS X 10.10 Yosemite beta 2 on a USB thumb drive.
    It almost works.
Now I want to boot my good old OS X 10.9 Mavericks from the SSD.
But there is no option for that, if I reboot the macbook holding the opt key!
I see only "Install OS", "Recover 10.9" and "OS X Yosemite", if I plug in the thumb drive.
But if I boot the  OS X 10.10 beta 2 from the thumb drive, I can browser my SSD "Macintosh HD", see all the folders and files, it's still there!
If I choose "Recover 10.9", it says, I can re-install the OS X or recover my Mac from the time machine or ask for help online, what I'm actually doing.
How can I make the SSD bootable again, without re-installing the OS X and losing my data? Yes, there is still an option to restore from the time machine, but it's too long, I need my computer now.
    It's a rMBP 15" early 2013.
    Thanks

Found it: in the disk utility menu select start volume.
    Thanks.

  • How to recover old Back ups made with time machine?

After a recovery with time machine to a very early back up, it completly deleted my old back ups from my back up drive? I had almost everything there. how can i get it back? is there any way?

    Hi Patsmith7,
i think I understand what you're asking. You'd like to move the current Time Machine backup to a new HD so that it will never be written over as you continue to use the current HD where the data resides. If that is correct, then just follow the below link which will show you a very simple way of accomplishing this.
If you only want to move a specific date then you will have to follow the same instructions in the link but click on the drop down arrow on the current backup which will show you each instance (date) of the backups. Grab the date that you're interested in and complete the move as instructed in the link to the new HD.

  • How to recover old community name

Just a general question to the masses...
It bugged me really bad when the changed the old discussion forumns because right away I was no longer able to access the acoount I held for years and it asked me to make a new one. Has anyone found a way to recover this? A few people must have since there are member dates from before the change. If you aren't sure any ideas on who to contact at apple?

Still no ideas? Any way to talk to the moderaters? Something? I keep seeing this issue come up in other places and they don't seem to get answers. Is it really that difficult to link us to the ID's that we curated for so long? It may not be a big deal to some but it seems to be a big enough deal that someone should be looking into it...

  • How to recover old table entries?

I need to recover table entries in table T554G,
    is there any posibility?
    thanks & greetings
    Torsten

    Hi,
Although your question is not clear but assuming that the entries are deleted from the table T554G and you want to recover them.
Try to check the entries using tocde SM30 and view V_T554G in your server landscape (DEV or QAS). If you find them over there you can recreate them easily.

  • How to recover old backups

    Hi Guys,
Started time capsule about 1.5 years ago. Backsup my macbook pro daily. 3 days ago I upgraded my hard drive from 320GB to 500GB. Now I realise that my previous backup files dont exist.I know its in there somewhere because the time capsule has about 140GB space left.
My question is , when I enter time capsule , the dates dont go back to the time when I first started the back up.So how do I get access to it?
Appreciate if you guys can help.

Open System Preferences and select Users & Groups. Assuming the migration was successful, you now have a new account - it was migrated. Migration Assistant doesn't copy files, it copies accounts. To see your documents you'll need to log into the account you migrated. (It has the same password it did on the other computer.)

  • HT4718 How to recover old iPhoto pictures after installing OS X on my mac?!

I didn't back them up because I didn't know this was going to happen.... Can anyone help please?

If you are talking about the App Store, try clicking Account under the Quick Links section. Enter the old Apple ID and password.  Once you get to the Accounts page you can edit/change your Apple ID there.

  • How to recover old purchases from old pc on new pc with new i tunes

i bought movies and stuff and i got a new pc because the other one crashed and now i wanna put it on itunes on my new pc

The official policy on music/media purchases is that you only get one download and it's up to you to maintain a backup against loss: iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
The licensing of Purchased applications allows for them be downloaded over again, see this article for details: How to redownload purchased applications from the App Store
If you have an iPod that still has any of your purchases on it you'll find details in this article on how to transfer them to the computer: iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
Failing this, you could try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on this link it'll take you to the support/contact page, from there click on Music Purchases then the Lost or Missing Items option, from there click on "Email Us": Customer Service - iTunes Store Support

Yes, if they were synced to iTunes (or iCloud).  When you set up your iPhone, you can use one of those backups to restore your texts.

  • How to recover missing purchased items from my old region???

    Hi,
Before 2 months ago I'm tried to change my region in the Apple Store and I was have a problem it I can not change the area until the reset my balance to 0 and it was I have a balance of 0.40 pounds, I contacted with the technical support at Apple and they told me should reset your balance to 0, but the balance was only 0.40 pounds and I can not buy any product because that amount is too little, So they suggested me to reset my balance to I can change my region and I have accepted this and they have already reset my balance to 0 and then was able to successfully change the region .
Now I have another problem which I can't to recover missing purchased items from my old region !!!
How to recover missing purchased items ????
    Regards,
    Aziz

You cannot use the iTunes store there any longer just as you can no longer use the food store you used to visit.  Unless you can change your country back to the one you used to use you no longer have access to purchases made there which is why it is important you keep backups of all purchases made there.
The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store.  You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance." - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE

If you have no backup your only option is to perform incomplete recovery (point-in-time recovery) to the time just before the drop, export the table and then restore the database (for example, from a cold backup taken just before the incomplete recovery,) and import the table. This obviously requires a full backup
taken before the drop which you don't seem to have, so the answer is "regrettably no."
    If you have a backup;
Take backup of ur current db, apply previous day backup, do point in time recovery to get table back, export table, shutdown and apply latest backup, import table back

Unfortunately, before restoring the data i forgot to copy some importance documents and pictures from the new one. so after restoring, those documents are lost, anyone know how to recover those data? thank you very much

If those documents are not contained in any backup, then you cannot recover them.
