How to reference already created tables?

I just started with Oracle and I created 5 tables. On two of the tables i created the references but I never clicked ADD, so they were not added. How can I link the tables after they are already created?

You want to add primary and foreign key. There is alot of articles with how to do this.
The basic solution is:
ALTER TABLE table_name
add CONSTRAINT constraint_name
FOREIGN KEY (column1, column2, ... column_n)
REFERENCES parent_table (column1, column2, ... column_n);

Applying TableSorter to already created table and model.

I am using the popular TableSorter class (talked about from this site: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html) and I want to know if anyone knows of a way to apply the table sorter after the table has already been created and a table model given to the table.
Long story as to why I am doing it this way.
I tried doing:
TableSorter sorter = new TableSorter(myTable.getModel());
sorter.setTableHeader(categoriesTable.getTableHeader());
myTable.setModel(sorter);This just doesn't work right. It doesn't have any sorting to it.
Does anyone know of a way to apply the TableSorter to an already made table that already has a table model associated?

It doesn't look correct that you are referencing two different table:
a) myTable
b) categoriesTable.
Also the order should probably be:
a) setModel(...);
b) sorter.setTableHeader(...);
based on the normal code from the tutorial.

How to fetch already created sessions from Informatica Repository (Informatica SDK)

Hi guys,I'm using the Informatica SDK to create a java application that accesses the Informatica repository. I'm having a bit of an issue while trying to fetch the names of already created sessions from the Informatica Repository. I'm able to connect to the repo without any issues and have been able to add sources, targets, mappings, sessions, workflows, etc... and save them directly afterwards. How to reference Item with Table Column

Hi Community,
we want to reference Table Column with an Item. This Item is a Select-List wich includes a Date. Befor doing something, you have to select this date. After that we want to create a new row in with a date-column. This date should be the same as in this Item. We are using a tool which is called HTML-DB. We reached that there is shown the date, but there is no value. It is an updateable report row.
How can we copy this value from the Item in this new column?
I am sorry for my english, but I hope everyone understands our problem.

I did it another way. We are using an old HTML DB version (v1.6). And I think it is a bug to reference a date with a column. I have this opinion because we copied the table but we changed the format. we are using varchar instead of date, and it is working without problems.
We also tried &px_name and it didn't work.

How to connect Already created WebI reports with Xcelsius Dashboards

HI Experts,
My requirement it to bring data from already in use WebI reports to a consolidated Dashboard. I am aware of connecting universe with Dashboard with the help of QaaWS.
Is there is any other way that we can connect our dashboard?
We are thinking to publish those dashboards on the SAP Enterprise BI Portal.

Hi,
One can connect WebI reports with Xcelsius dashboards in 3 ways:
1. Using QaaWS : connects universe with Dashboard. Dashboard uses the WSDL link to get data that works on SOAP (that works on exchanging web structures).
2. Using Live Office Connection: With the help of Live Office one can connect the WebI reports directly. One can take advantage of the scheduled instances of the WebI reports. So it is good for time consuming reports.
3. Using BI Web Services: Here custom web services are created of intended report instances. Publication is done from CMS side.
after that WSDL is used as any other web services.

A table is just a 2D array of strings. Keep it in a shift register and use "replace array element" to modify the desired entry programmatically.
If you want to modify it manually and directly from the front panel, make it into a control and type directly into the desired element. (In this case your program would need to write to it using a local variable).

enter the description
On the left hand side choose the table name.
Click on view fields tab and choose your table fields.Here you can choose which fields you want in your view.

Steps for creating table:.
There are two approach in creating a table.
1. Bottom-up approach
2. Top-down approach.
Both are valid and you can choose which approach is suitable for you. I always use the bottom-up approach. Here are the steps to create the tables with this approach.
1. SE11 will take you to the DDIC and enter the name of the new table to be created. Let us say Zname. Click create.
2. Enter the short discription of the table and enter the field of the table. If it is primary key and you have to check the box.
3. Enter the data element and double click it, you will be asked to save and will take you to data element discription page. Enter the short discription of the data element and enter the information of domain like the length of field and type of field.
4. If you wanted to use the existing domain then its fine, or else, you have to create one. Enter the domain name in the data element page and double click it. Page will ask to save and jump to domain creation page.
5. In the domain page, you have to save the information which you have already given in the data elements page and check it. Before going to data element page, you have to activate the domain.
6. Go to data element page and save, check and activate.
7. Go to main table page and save, check, and activate.
8. Also, you have to save the technical settings of the table.
The table is now ready for operation. You can use it in your program or you can use it to enter information.
Check table: It is the table which will have all the information about the Foreign keys which are the primary keys in the check table.
It can be created by creating the foreign key from the main table. Click foreign key in the main table and it will take you to a page which will ask for table name and field to which foreign key relation has to be associated. Enter the information and you can create the check table automatically.
SM30 is used for maintenance of the table, that is to realease the errors occured during the creation of the table.

How and when to create a fact table

I am new to oracle and specially to Data Warehousing. I am using OWB 11g on windows XP.
I have created the dimensional for a database, now i am in the implementation phase.
i have the following questions.
1. I don't know how and when to create a fact table. I have already created the dimensions (ROLAP).
2. Do i need to create a mapping for a Cube. if yes, then how to load them from 4 different dimensions. how will be the join condition, they don't match?
3. I will also try for aggregation, do i need to use MOLAP for the dimensions or ROLAP works?

According to your description that you want to dynamically increase and decrease the numbers of the columns in the table, right?
As Jason A Long mentioned that we can use the matrix to do this and put the year field in the column group, amount fields(Numric values) in the details, add an filter to filter the data base on this column group, but if
the data in the DB not suitable to add to the matrix directly, you can use the unpivot function to turn the column name of year to a single row and then you can add it in the column group.
If there are too many columns in the column group, it will fit the page size automatically and display the extra columns in the next page.

A table type is defined by:
its line type, that defines the structure and data type attributes of a line of the internal table
the options for managing and accessing the data ( access mode) in the internal table
the key ( key definition and key category) of the internal table
The row type is defined by directly entering the data type, length and number of decimal places or by referencing a data element, structured type ( structure, table or view) or other table type. Or the row type can be a reference type.

Nested table - how to reference internal column without a name??

Hi guys, I've a question regarding nested tables - Ive searched around and cant find an answer.
Heres my sample code :

set col_b.XXXXX = 6
where col_b.XXXXX = 5won't work - so what do I put in place of the XXXXX ???

I created a procedure with only 1 sql statement:
delete * from source_table_name@connector where ...
I put this procedure in pre-mapping, then validate, pre-deploy are both ok, but when I deployed it, it caused "cannot find table or view" error.
