How to reorder columns in af:query??

I have certain search fields in af query and I want to reorder them.I tried changing the order of the attributes in the view object but that dint help.Creating the VO all over again is the only solution???
Any suggestions pls?
Thanks,
Swathi

You can achieve this by following the below steps
1) Open your view object
2) Go to Attributes tab on the left hand side
3) Click on set source order button.
There you can change the order of the attributes.

  • How to reorder columns in JTable between sessions without serialization?

    I have a situation where the column widths and names of a JTable are saved to DB(there is no serialization). Upon starting a new session, the JTable needs to be displayed with reordered column.
    For example, let us say the default JTable has columns as A, B, C, D ...
    The user rearranges the columns to B, A, D, C....
    How do I tell JTable model to not use the default but the new values? Is serialization the only way?
    Here is some sample code I use to set the widths. But what I really want to do is reorder columns by reading their names.
    Thanks for your help
    for(int i=0;i<count;i++) {
                        int width=(int)(ttsDefaults.getColumnWidth(i)*

                        sumWidth+=width;

    Hi Jules,
    You need a user with XDBADMIN rights to access the WebDav. Once you have access, you can open the URL as webfolder (in IE).

  • How to reorder columns in IR detail?

    Apex 4.1.1. Theme 4
    I added a new column for an IR. This column is last in the details view. The detail view has the same order of columns as they appear in the developers view.
    I want this column to be the first. How can I reorder the IR columns (developer view!)? I do not talk about the columns how they are shown in the normal IR reports view. This can be easily changed.

    "It is not possible" would also be an answer. I just have the impression that I overlook something simple.Sven,
    You can edit the interactive report > report attributes > Detail View
    here you will see some sort of html code that defines the template which you can order to display how you want
    for example I have the below code to display two columns Ename and Job..etc so you can easilay switch them around
    <tr>
    <td align="right">#ENAME_LABEL#:</td><td>#ENAME#</td>
    <td align="right">#DEPTNO_LABEL#:</td><td>#UPDATED#, #DEPTNO#</td>
    <td align="right">#SAL_LABEL#:</td><td>#SAL#</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td align="right">#TEST1_LABEL#:</td><td>#TEST1#</td>
    <td align="right">#JOB_LABEL#:</td><td>#JOB#</td>
    <td align="right">#DEPTNO_LABEL#:</td><td>#DEPTNO#</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td align="right">#EMPNO_LABEL#:</td><td>#ENAME#</td>
    <td align="right">#ENAME_LABEL#:</td><td colspan="2">#ENAME#</td><td align="right">#HIREDATE_LABEL#:</td><td>#HIREDATE#</td>
    <td><br /></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>

    </tr>
    <tr><td colspan="8"><hr /></td></tr>See this example https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=46417:30

  • How to reorder columns and make all labels appear?

    I have a chart in my 2008 R2 report:
    I want to reorder these programs in alphabetical order and I want to display all programs.  In the image above, see how only some of the program labels appear?
    Here is some sample table data:
    create table sample_programs
    program_name varchar(25),
    LOS int,
    people_id int identity(1,1)
    insert sample_programs values('transitional living',50),('educational services',65),('Residential Treatment', 77),
    ('Regular Foster Care', 23)
    And the SSRS Chart Value expression:
    =Sum(Fields!program_los.Value) /
    (CountDistinct(Fields!people_id.Value))
    Where program_name is the Category group.
    Ryan D

    Hi Ryan,
    To reorder those programs in alphabetical order on the chart, we can add a sorting in the Category Group as below:
    Sort by: [program_name]                   Order: A to Z
    In your scenario, not all the categories (programs) are displayed. By default, auto fit property determines the interval of horizontal axis labels. In order to display all the programs, please try changing the interval to 1 will force the axis to display
    all categories. For more detail, please refer to the similar thread below:

  • How to return Parameters values as a column in a query?

    Hi All,
    I have number of parameters in a report.
    I need to return its interred values as a column in a query to use this column in a chart.
    I want this column to be the second one in this query:
    SELECT ROWNUM
    FROM ALL_OBJECTS
    WHERE ROWNUM <= 10
    That is if there is any way to use these parameters directly as a column in the chart no need for the previous statement.
    Note: I am using Reports 6i

    Dear sir
    You can enter parameter as column in query like
    select :parameter p1, &hexadecima_paramataer p2, empcode
    from emps;
    that query make parameter as query column .
    &hexadecimal paramater can refer to database column of table emps
    and :paramater can refer to static string

    Once user clicks on the quick select column, we have to navigate back to the previous page with the row value selected.
    Can anyone help me in this.

    Hi,
    You will be able to do it with the help of cell definitions.
    Say,you have a structure in Rows :
    A
    B
    For A ..in corresponding column cell,use cell definition with KF1
    For B.....in corresponding column cell,use cell definition with KF2
    this way,you will be able to see both in one column
    I m not sure how much it is relavant to your requirement.But this is one way of gettin it

    i 'm doing what exactly you mention here .
    my problem here is
    i have 15 columns
    i am executing a query based on the values of the column(column name)  in the target page
    1)here i am passing(all) the column values to the next page-but  i want to pass only one column values(column name)
    when i click on any cell of that  column
    OR
    2)i can pass all column name to target page -there(in the target page) i can filter out
    i think option 1 would good if you filter out the unwanted columns

  • Comment column in a query

    Hello,
    In a BW query, I need to add a column of text comments (for example, the description of a calculation, the unit used, ...). These texts are static, the queries will only be used as static reports (download scheduler), in excel and web, so we can not use any VB script.
    Is it a way to add some text in a cell of a column, as in the following example (columns 2 and 3) ?
    KF1    |    Comment for KF1    |    Euros    |    12
    KF2    |    Comment for KF2    |    %          |    47
    Thanks in advance

  • How to pass text in MDX query

    Hi All,
    I was wondering how to pass text in MDX query.
    Below mentioned is my sample query and it is working fine.
    SELECT
    {[Measures].members} ON AXIS(0),
    NON EMPTY [0MATERIAL].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS
    *[0DOC_NUMBER].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS ON AXIS(1)"
    FROM [$ZTEST]"
    WHERE {[0MATERIAL].[000012345]} ";
    But in data base 000012345 consists of material name as “ Pepsi “
    Now based on Pepsi I want to fetch results? Is it possible?
    Thanks in advance.

    Srinivas,
    So you are using JAVA, if you consult the developer's guide there is a section specifically addressing your question the ResultSet API should handle this via the formatted
    <b>Retrieving Result Sets
    ResultSet API</b>
    Note that the concept allows for more than two axes, however a two-dimensional, table-like data set makes the
    example easy to illustrate. On the columns axis, two members (“Store Cost” and ”Store Sales”) of the measures
    dimension have been selected; on the rows axis, three members (“Berlin,” ”Hamburg,” and ”Munich”) of the City level
    of a geographical hierarchy. The dataset has six cells:
    Cells provide four mandatory properties:
    • Value — supports all common column types, for example:
    o numeric types
    o dates
    o time values
    o strings
    o null
    • Data type — int value describing the data-type (see java.sql.Types)
    • Status — state of the cell (for example, error or null)
    <b>• Formatted value — a string representation of value</b>
    You can retrieve text in this manner.
    Do you want to be able to pass text as if it were a value as well?
    Cheers,
    Scott

  • How to put distinct in the query

    Hi all,
    How to put distinct in the query.I checked in RPD , Distinct supported is already available. I marked the distinct check box in advance option still then i'm not getting distinct in the query.
    any idea , please help...

    In the RPD i have join between base table and view .i'm selecting 2 columns one from base table and other from view . which gives cartesian product . to avoid that i want to put distinct . I'm not using any measure . I'm taking direct columns.
    I'm getting distinct keyword if i'm accessing the report directly . but when i'm accessing it from dashboard in the back end while preparing the query it's writing distinct but the actual query which is sending to db does not have distinct.

    Did you try using RPAD or LPAD functions? They fill the unfilled part of a string with character you provide... either on right or left side depending on what function you use.
    e.g.
    SELECT RPAD('Smith', 10, ' ') Name FROM dual;http://www.adp-gmbh.ch/ora/sql/rpad.html
