How to return to first record in table after a while statement?
Hi,
I'm trying to multiply data from two different tables to get a distance between two points - I only want to return the result if the distance is less than 0.15 metres. It loops ok the first time but dies once I get into the second while for the second time. I'm sure I have the logic wrong, I just can't figure out the right way. I haven't used Java or programmed in four years so apologises if the answer is ridiculously simple!
public static void main(String args[])
try
FileOutputStream out = new FileOutputStream("c://output.txt", true);
PrintStream p;
// Connect print stream to the output stream
p = new PrintStream( out );
Connection conn = getConnection();
System.out.println("1");
Statement st1 = conn.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_UPDATABLE);
Statement st2 = conn.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_UPDATABLE);
ResultSet inact = st1.executeQuery("select Radio, aLocationLatLong, Lat, Lon from Inactive_EK");
ResultSet act = st2.executeQuery("select Radio, aLocationLatLong, Lat, Lon from Active_EK");
while(inact.next())
R_ID = inact.getString("Radio");
inLt = inact.getDouble("Lat");
inLn = inact.getDouble("Lon");
p.println("Inactive: " + R_ID + " " + inLt + " " + inLn);
while(act.next())
acR_ID = act.getString("Radio");
acLt = act.getDouble("Lat");
acLn = act.getDouble("Lon");
p.println("Active Lat: " + acLt + " " + acLn );
double earthRadius = 6378.137;
double dLat = Math.toRadians(inLt-acLt);
double dLng = Math.toRadians(inLn - acLn);
double a = Math.sin(dLat/2) * Math.sin(dLat/2) +
Math.cos(Math.toRadians(acLt)) * Math.cos(Math.toRadians(inLt)) *
Math.sin(dLng/2) * Math.sin(dLng/2);
double c = 2 * Math.atan2(Math.sqrt(a), Math.sqrt(1-a));
double dist = earthRadius * c;
if(dist <= 0.15)
p.println("Active Lat: " + acR_ID + " " + acLt + " " + acLn + " " + dist);
p.close();
st1.close();
st2.close();
conn.close();
catch
(Exception e)
System.err.println ("Connect problem");
Thanking you in advance!
Try something like below: change the script as required.
create Table T1(Col1 int)

DB Adapter: Polling For New Records returns the First record multiple Times
I Polling for New or Chnaged Records against DB2 on iSeries. The DB Adapter returns the first record from the Table multiple Times. If the Table has 5 records it displays the first record 5 times. I am using BPEL 10.1.3.1 Can anyone help me with this.
Hi there,
please check out the DBAdapter trouble-shooting guide:
http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28994/app_trblshoot.htm#CIHFEHFA
I am copying an entry from there into here:
A.1.21 Some Queried Rows Appear Twice or Not at All in the Query Result
Problem
When you execute a query, you may get the correct number of rows, but some rows appear multiple times and others do not appear at all.
This behavior is typically because the primary key is configured incorrectly. If the database adapter reads two different rows that it thinks are the same (for example, the same primary key), then it writes both rows into the same instance and the first row's values are overwritten by the second row's values.
Solution
Open Application Sources > TopLink > TopLink Mappings. In the Structure window, double-click PHONES. On the first page, you should see Primary Keys. Make sure that the correct columns are selected to make a unique constraint.
Save and then edit the database partner link.
Click Next to the end, and then click Finish and Close.
Open your toplink_mappings.xml file. For the PHONES descriptor, you should see something like this:
<primary-key-fields>
<field>PHONES.ID1</field>
<field>PHONES.ID2</field>
</primary-key-fields>
Thanks

How to select the first record?
Hi,
Could anyone tell me how to select the first record of every
group?
ex, I want to find out every customer their first purcaseDate.
CustomerID PurcaseDate Region
A00000001 2001/01/01 AA
A00000001 2001/02/02 AA
A00000002 2001/03/01 AC
A00000002 2001/05/07 AC
A00000003 2001/03/05 DD
result:
A00000001 2001/01/01 AA
A00000002 2001/03/01 AC
A00000003 2001/03/05 DD
ThanksVincent,
You could do it as Carl suggested, with a couple of
corrections. You would need to include the CustomNo column in
the order by clause of your cursor. You would also need to add
a where clause to your update statement, otherwise everywhere
Region in the table would be updated with the same value of the
last CustomNo in the cursor, regardless of the CustomNo in the
table. See corrected code below:
DECLARE
CURSOR cust
IS
SELECT DISTINCT CustomNo, Region, Purchase_Date
FROM my_table
ORDER BY CustomNo, Purchase_Date, Region;
c_customer VARCHAR2 (9) := '...';
c_region VARCHAR2 (2) := '..';
cntr NUMBER := 0;
BEGIN
FOR x IN cust
LOOP
IF x.CustomNo != c_customer
THEN
c_customer := x.CustomNo;
c_region := x.Region;
ELSE
UPDATE my_table
SET Region = c_region
WHERE CustomNo = c_customer;
cntr := cntr + 1;
IF cntr = 25
THEN
COMMIT;
cntr := 0;
END IF;
END IF;
END LOOP;
COMMIT;
EXCEPTION
WHEN OTHERS THEN
NULL;
END;
Another option is that you could just use one update statement,
like this:
UPDATE my_table a
SET Region =
(SELECT DISTINCT Region
FROM my_table b
WHERE (CustomNo, Purchase_Date) IN
(SELECT CustomNo, MIN (Purchase_Date)
FROM my_table
GROUP BY CustomNo)
AND a.CustomNo = b.CustomNo)

Oracle Forms returns the first record in the database when performing query
Once in a while when we query for a record on a form, say by first name Tom, then it returns the first record in the database. Other times it return the Tom's record. It only happens once in a while and if you close the form and reopen it and requery for Tom, then it brings Tom's record.
Does anyone know the issue what could be happening. It just happens every now and then that it's hard to reproduce.
ORacle Forms 10GR2
ORacle Application Server 10.1.3
thanksthen it returns the first record in the databaseI'm not sure if i understand you correctly. Do you mean forms ignores the searc-condition you entered? I would check SYSTEM.LAST_QUERY at the moment this happens to check if the condition gets somehow lost.

How to copy the table1selected records into table 2 in webdynpro java.
Hi
how to copy the table1selected records into table 2 in webdynpro java.
venkat
Edited by: venkatpvr on Sep 23, 2011 11:53 AMHi Venkat,
You have 2 Value Nodes one for Table1 and second for Table2.
Table1 node having one more Value Attribute i.e check Box data type is Boolean. Now you are requirement are select records from Table1 Node and click on One Method that records will moves to Second Table2 Node.
Create One Method for getting the Records from 1-Table to 2-Table
CopytoTable2 ()
In this method you have to write code like this
If (wdContext.nodeTable1.Checkbox(true))
If(1. Check the Table1 Value Node Size()>0)
Get the Table1 records and set to table2 Value node.
Else
Please select check box// Error message
Hope this helps!!

How do I blank my BI Pub report parameter from returning the first record when output to HTML?
Hi all.
I have a report that has several parameters A, B, C D.
I include these at the head of the rtf report.
I run the report WITHOUT entering anything for parameters A & B.
When the report generates (returning all the expected correct records), it enters into parameter fields A & B at the top of the report the first records’ A & B fields when they should be blank.
IS there something I need to do in the rtf form field Help text along with the field name?
ThanksForLoooking..
Malcwithin the rtf of the report, within the form-field-help-text, this should work..
<?xdofx:decode(<parameter name>,'','',<parameter name>)?>
if the parameter is left blank, then don't put anything in the rtf field, otherwise put in anything that is selected in the parameter.
or this..
<?xdofx:if <parameter name>='' then 'All Params Included' else <parameter name> end if?>
..yet, when the parameter is left blank, the parameter field in the report generated is populated with whatever is in the first line of the parameter in the report.
I also can't find anything in the old rdf that is causing this either. Help! -
Internal table - move record to first record in table
How can a move a record already in an internal table to the first record in the table? There is no appropriate sort that would make it the first record.
Assuming the record is in the header:
delete itab.
insert itab index 1.
That should be - assuming sy-index already points to the record you want to move.

pm.currentTransaction().commit();

confilct Primary Key. The errors are :

Exception in thread "main"First off, use the '-primaryKeyOnJoin true' flag when running the reverse
mapping tool so that you can get rid of that useless Xref class and have
a direct relation between Person and Project. See the documentation on
reverse mapping tool options here:
http://www.solarmetric.com/Software/Documentation/latest/docs/ref_guide_pc_reverse.html
But your real problem is that you are creating new objects, assigning
primary key values, and expecting them to represent existing objects.
That's not the way JDO works. If you want to set relations to existing
objects in JDO, you use the PM to look up those objects. If you try to
create new objects, JDO will assume you want to insert new records into
the DB, and you'll get PK conflicts like you see here.
There are several good books out on JDO; if you're just starting out with
it, they might save you a lot of time and help you master JDO quickly. -
How to return course data from different tables from a procedure
I have a procedure which must return information from two tables:
The sturcture of tables is as below:
Table 1:
id,
name,
property,
type
Table 2:
id1
id2 ,
property.
id1 of table2 refers to id attribute of table1. ie id is the foreign key for table2.
the tables are defined such that for corresponding to each id in table1 there would
be two or more rows in table2.
Now in the procedure given the id, i need to retrieve information from table1 and also all the rows in table2 which refers to id2.I want to return a cursor.How can i do this.
eg:
if table 1 has an entry with id 2
and table 2 has three entries with id1 referring to id(i.e id1=2)..I need to return the table1 entry with id=2 and three entires from table2 with id1=2.
If cursors are not appropriate, what other alternative methods can be used.
Any suggestions would be of great help.thanks for the reply,
The result set would be returned to the client .....which would do further processing.The client does not even know that the data is organized in two tables..Therefore given an id, client would expect to have all the information...i.e the info from table 1 and info from table 2 where the relation ship between id and other ids are stored.
i.e say client has id=6.This id has property,name,etc stored in table1.
This id can further be related to any number other of ids.It can be related 2,5,100,or may be even 10000s of other ids.This mapping between the original id and other ids..are stored in table2.
So given the id by the client , i would want to return property of the ids itself along with all the ids that it is related to .
I want to achieve this..... -

How to return mismatched rows from two tables?
I have created two tables in the same database as below which gives the row
count of tables across all databases before and after an DB restore
operation.
create table before_restore(db_name varchar(100),table_name
varchar(1000),row_count int) insert into before_restore exec sp_msforeachdb 'USE
[?]; select ''?'' as database_name,o.name,max(i.rowcnt ) From [?].sys.objects o
inner join [?].sys.sysindexes i on o.object_id=i.id where o.type=''U'' group by
o.name'
create table after_restore(db_name varchar(100),table_name
varchar(1000),row_count int) insert into after_restore exec sp_msforeachdb 'USE
[?]; select ''?'' as database_name,o.name,max(i.rowcnt ) From [?].sys.objects o
inner join [?].sys.sysindexes i on o.object_id=i.id where o.type=''U'' group by
o.name'
I want to compare these two tables and it should only return me rows that
have changed after the restore operation is complete.
Eg:
Table xyz has rowcount of 100 before restore and the restore was not proper
and after restore count is 50. So it should return me the result set as
below;
Db_name Table_Name row_count_before_restore row_count_after_restore
abc xyz 100
50
Thanks!!!Something like below perhaps? Btw, I recommend using catalog view and dynamic management views instead of the old system tables (now called compatibility views)...
SELECT
COALESCE(a.db_name, b.db_name) AS db_name
,COALESCE(a.table_name, b.table_name) AS table_name
,a.row_count AS row_count_before_restore
,b.row_count AS row_count_after_restore
FROM before_restore AS b FULL OUTER JOIN after_restore AS a ON b.db_name = a.db_name AND b.table_name = a.table_name
WHERE b.row_count <> a.row_count OR b.db_name IS NULL OR a.db_name IS NULL

How to do underline/bold record in table conditionally
Hi,
I need to do conditional formatting for a particular record in table.
if column A <>'VAL' then underline/bold value.
I tried the below code for doing bold for single field.
<?for-each:G_LINE_NUMBER?>
<?variable@incontext: ful?><?LINE_NUM?><?end variable?>
<?variable@incontext:VAR1;substring(FULL_NAME,1,3) ?>
<?if:string($VAR1) ='Klu'?><xsl:attribute xdofo:ctx="block" name="font-weight">bold</xsl:attribute><?string($ful)?><?end if?>
<?end for-each?>
This works fine for bold.Do I need to apply this piece of code for all the fields else is there any other way to do that?
And also I tried for underline but its not working.
<?if:string($VAR1) ='Klu'?><xsl:attribute xdofo:ctx="incontext" name="text-decoration">underline</xsl:attribute><?string($ful)?><?end if?>
Please suggest.
Thanks in advance,
