How to save object to a local file.

Hello all.
I need to save an object, i.e. an ABAP program, to a local file and then be able to "import" it into another system.
I am not talking about the lines of codes that can be saved as a local file, but the whole program including screens and so on. Something similar to releasing a transport with object R3TR PROG ZMYPROGRAM to another system, but instead to the local desktop.
Anyone would know if this can be done?

Lande

  • How to save object to SQLite?

    Hi,
    I am confusing with this.
How to save object (instance of class) to SQLite and read the
    object back to Flex?
    Thanks
    Mark

SQLite is a relational database, not an object-oriented
database, so you can't just spit an object into it without
    translation. You
could serialize it with JSON or XML and store that in a
column, but then you're giving up most of the benefit of a proper
database engine. It's best to flatten the object yourself into the
database structure. How you do that, exactly, depends on your
    object structure(s).
So, if you have an object like this:
var foo:Object = { bar: 'qux', bletch: new Date(), farbly: [
    42, 69 ] };
you probably need two tables to represent it: a main "foos"
table (a collection of foo objects) and a separate "farblys" table
to hold the array elements. This separation of arrays out into a
table of their own linked to the original table is called
    normalization.
Normalization will be covered in any decent tutorial book on
SQL databases. You'll need to get one to best understand how to
utilize SQLite, or anything like it. I got a lot out of
    The
Practical SQL Handbook. I doubt that it covers SQLite
specifically. I have an older edition, so I can't check, but the
current edition was released about the same time that SQLite was,
and SQLite took some time to get noticed. The
    SQLite Documentation
will fill in the gaps. The main thing to beware of is that SQLite
doesn't support all the advanced things you will read about in a
    general SQL book.
If you don't want to mess with all this object-relational
mapping and normalization stuff, and you don't have much data to
store, you might look into Flash Local Stored Objects (LSO), also
called "Flash cookies". The runtime has a default limit of 100 KB
of data per application. The advantage of LSOs is that you can use
them like any other ActionScript object, and Flash handles the
storage details for you. It's great for configuration data and
    small bits of user data.

  • How to save Android contacts as Excel file on Mac computer?

I want to manage and edit my contacts on my cell phone, my friend suggested me save them as Excel format! So now i am trying this way, but i can't find the right method to do this! Do you know how to save Android contacts as Excel file on Mac computer?

If you want to save Android Phone contacts to Excel format, you can have a try the following method:
Step 1. Connect Your Android Phone to Computer
After downloading and installing the Coolmuster Android Assistant software on your computer, launch it and you will get the program interface prompts you to connect your phone to the computer. Just use a USB cable to connect your phone to the computer and the program will detect the connected phone automatically. If it is the first time to run this software, you may encounter the following picture and be required to enable USB debugging on your phone at first. If your device can be detected by the program, you can directly skip to the next step.
Step 2: Go to the Contacts windows
All your phone data are categorized on the top menu. To transfer Android phone's contacts, you can go to click the "Contacts" icon to enter the Contacts window. Navigate to the left panel and click on the "All Contacts" option, then, all the contacts in your phone will show in list on the right window. Mark the contacts you want to backup on your computer and click the button of "Backup".
Step 3. Start to export contacts to computer at once
Once you click on the "Backup" button, there will be a "Path" dialog appears, asking you to choose an output location where you want to save the exported contacts. Specify an output folder and then click the "Ok" button. Then, all your phone contacts will be exported to the output location immediately, with all the email address, company's name, home address, and more contacts info perfectly kept in the output CSV or XLS file.

  • How to save my emails and adressbook files from an old ibook?

How to save my emails and adressbook files from an old ibook (bought around 2002) ?
The screen from the old ibook doesn´t work anymore (logicboard problem I guess).
I saved everything else with starting it in target modus. That worked fine.
I want to delete the files after that as well, because I wanna give away the old ibook and don´t want anyone to read my emails!
    Little helpers I have:
    A running MacBook
External Screen (and cables to connect)
    Fire Wire Cable

Don't know how helpful this will be but I often copy mail from one computer to another, I drag the mail from the mail window to the other computers drop box, then from the other computer double click it and mail asks me what I want to do with it, of course without a screen you'd need to use back to my mac.
If you don't have back to my mac running, you could set up a second user account on the newer mac, import everything via target mode as suggested by c above, and then drag the mail to the first user account drop box.

  • How do we create Hyperlink to local file on c:\ in Web Intelligence

How de we create Hyperlink to local file on c:\ in Web Intelligence.
    Thanks in advance,
    K.

    K,
You can't hyperlink to a local file when you are in WebI.  The ability to hyperlink requires the http protocol to be employed, wrapped within a web service (like IIS, for instance).  So to hyperlink to any file, that file must be a part of a web service, and the web service must have access to the folder (again, like in IIS you must create web shares and IIS must "mount" those shares in an http environment).  Hopefully I'm making sense to you on why it can't be done.
On the other hand, content that is static and has been made available for browsing on the web can also be linked to by populating a cell in a WebI report, marking that cell as "read cell contents as hyperlink", etc, etc.
    Thanks,
    John

Claire, I use a Mac w/ the latest copy of Skype and it IS possible to first play the file and then download it.  Steps are available for it but it involves some technical wizardry that can be above some muggles.   Then I found a post where some some VERY bright person made a small downloaded program for the Mac which once the video message has been played recently, you can run this program and download the file for safe keeping ( ALWAYS BACKUP or store it in the cloud for safety )  Kudos are deserved to user alvarop for this! http://community.skype.com/t5/Mac/Video-Message-Exporter-App/m-p/2351609 It worked for me to download a video message that I recently played back.  Let me know if you need any assistance getting it downloaded you can PM me on here and I'll be happy to help with a screenshare. Best Regards,-Shawn G

Do you really need an Excel file (binary) or a simple CSV?
If you just need a CSV then search for DUMP_CSV at http://asktom.oracle.com or at this forum
If you need formatting and/or multiple worksheets then you can use free tools like

  • How to save/load JTextPane to/from file?

One of the simplest questions re Swing.
How to save a JTextField onto a file?
And, how to read back it onto a newed JTextPane?
Yes, I have searched, searched and searched on the net, in vain.

Assuming he's wanting to do the reasonable thing, I'm trying to do it too.
linuxoid, I suspect he (and I) are looking for a way to save the contents. After all, a control that you can't get the information out of is pretty useless.
Styled text is often just a BLOB to the rest of the app. It is in my case, and it probably is in his.
I'm having the same trouble he is.
I want to make a JTextPane, let the user edit it, then get some reasonably portable representation of it's current contents that I can serialize. A string representation of XML sounds dandy. Incomprehensible binary is acceptable. A representation in some markup language that I can insert in some other document and have it act like I'm inserting text in the editor would make me more than happy.
Ideally, what I, and probably he, are looking for is something like
    JTextPane myPainIsGreat = new JTextPane();
... life goes on...the user writes poetry and turns the words tacky colors...
    String thisICanDealWith = myPainIsGreat.getStyledTextRepresentation();
    knowing better I'd settle for
    myPainIsGreat.writeStyled(someWriter)
sadly, JTextPane's write just returns unstyled text

  • QuickView - How to auto save extracted data to local file.

    Hi all,
I am using Quickview to extract data. I need to run the Quickview query in background and auto save the data extracted into local file (ASCII file). Currently when I specified File Store (as my Output Format) and entered a file name (e.g C:\Temp\test.asc). Upon completion of extraction there was a little window pop up that required me to select data format (e.g DAT, ASC) and click <Transfer> button to proceed to save data into local file.
Is there a way that I can save data into local file without having to manually select ASC data format and click <Transfer> button. I will not be able to schedule my QuickView query to run in background if I can't resolve this problem.
Note that I don't have access to ABAP programming, therefore this option is out.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can share your expertise experience.

  • Option to save output list to local file

What would cause the menu option:
    SYSTEM - > LIST ->SAVE -> LOCAL FILE
to be greyed out or not available for a report?  I know these use to be an option for all standard output lists, but now I see where this is not an option on some standard SAP reports.

    Hi,
I am getting the same problem. In VT03N, when I goto System->List->Save->File, the option to save is greyed out.
Can you please explain how can this be enabled?

  • How to get access to the local file system when running with Web Start

I'm trying to create a JavaFX app that reads and writes image files to the local file system. Unfortunately, when I run it using the JNLP file that NetBeans generates, I get access permission errors when I try to create an Image object from a .png file.
Is there any way to make this work in Netbeans? I assume I need to sign the jar or something? I tried turning "Enable Web Start" on in the application settings, and "self-sign by generated key", but that made it so the app wouldn't launch at all using the JNLP file.

Same as usual as with any other web start app : sign the app or modify the policies of the local JRE. Better sign the app with a temp certificate.
As for the 2nd error (signed app does not launch), I have no idea as I haven't tried using JWS with FX 2.0 yet. Try to activate console and loggin in Java's control panel options (in W7, JWS logs are in c:\users\<userid>\appdata\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\log) and see if anything appear here.
Anyway JWS errors are notoriously not easy to figure out and the whole technology in itself is temperamental. Find the tool named JaNeLA on the web it will help you analyze syntax error in your JNLP (though it is not aware of the new syntax introduced for FX 2.0 and may produce lots of errors on those) and head to the JWS forum (Java Web Start & JNLP Andrew Thompson who dwells over there is the author of JaNeLA).
