How to secure delete entire Calendar?

I want to delete my entire iCal entries on my G3 iBook as I need to loan it to someone for a few days. I've backed up and do not want to create a new user a/c etc. How can I securely delete everything in iCal? Thanks
iMac Core Duo 1GB Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Hi
With your iPod connected and Disk Use enabled, launch Disk Utility. Select the iPod's HD from the L/H side of the window and then select the Erase tab. Before erasing, click on the Security Options button. Zero Out Data is a secure method of removing all data from the HD. If you are particularly worried about security use 7-Pass or 35-Pass though these do take a lot longer to run.
Without wanting to sound like an idiot, I must point out that this will destroy all data on your iPod. Be absolutely sure before starting the Erase procedure =0)

How do I delete a calendar event in my iphone? It allows me to "edit" the event but not to totally delete it. Or at least I can't seem to find a "delete" option anywhere!

Did you create the event somewhere else?  A lot of time when u create it on lets say PC or mac, you wont be able to edit it unless its from the same device.
Its also possible its created under a mail account.  I would suggest making all your events via icloud, then u should be able to edit it on all platforms regardless on which device made the event.

How do I delete annual calendar events, like birthdays?

To delete birthdays, you have two options:
    1.  Delete the person's birthday from their contact entry.
    2.  In calendar, click "Calendars" in the upper left and uncheck the "Birthdays" calendar.

  • How do I delete a calendar event from iPad 2?

Hello, I have a MacBook Pro running OS X Lion and my wife has an iPad 2.
I invited her to a recurring event through iCal on the MacBook Pro.  My wife accepted the invite and added it to her calendar on the iPad 2.  I later updated the event from monthly to every four weeks.  My wife accepted the update but it added it as a second event on the iPad, i.e., both the original monthly series and the four-weekly series are present in the iPad calendar.  On the MacBook Pro only the updated event series is present.
I've since deleted the event on the MacBook Pro.  My wife received the notification of the delete on the iPad 2 but there was no option to delete the event.
How can I delete the two recurring iPad series?

View the calendar in Month view.
Tap on the event. You should see an outline of an arrow pointing to the event. At the opposite end of the arrow from the event should be and Edit button.
Tap Edit and a larger box with the details of the event shall appear. At the bottom of that box should be a Red Delete button.
This should appear for all events but perhaps automatic events or pleating events are different.

  • How do I delete a calendar event (repeating daily forever) that I accepted on my iPhone from a mobileMe iCal invite?

    Hi,
I'd like to know how to delete a calendar event from my iPhone4 (iOS 5.1) calendar. The event was sent to me from a mobileMe synced iPhone4 (iOS 5.1) calendar and for some reason it was set to daily repeat forever.
The event has been deleted from the originators calendar now, but the result has not been propagated to my calendar, despite an update being sent out. When I attempt to accept it just hangs and doesn't update in my calendar.
More annoyingly, the event doesn't have an edit button in my calendar, so I cannot delete it (and all other occurences) myself.
Any ideas on how to remove it?
    Thanks,
    Rich

A workaround. Not perfect but it gets rid of it.
Do the below link's steps and then deselect that calendar from view.

  • How do you delete entire folders of pictures in the image editing software instead of one at a time!

Don't know how I did it, but I imported 11,000 pictures into the new image editing software - none of which I took with my new powershot sx50 hs.  I can only delete the ONE AT A TIME - HELP!!  Anyway to delete entire folders?

Thank you for your reply.  I did not get an 'advanced guide' on the CD... I just got 89 page user guide.
About deleting, you can not select multiple pics (by holding control key).  You can only delete ONE at a time.  I don't have time to delete 11, 137 pictures.
OH MY!  Love the camera but paid too much for it not to be able to use the software.  Thanks again.

  • How,do I delete,all,calendar,

I want to delete all my calendar Data (which I just did on my gmail acct & Now I want to dellete all my contacts.  I know how to do both on Google but not on my phone (DHTC Droid DNA)

        Chinnee,
No worries! Your Gmail calendar will sync with the phone, so if you have deleted your calendar online, sync the calendar one more time, to update the recent deletions. Calendar>Accounts>Sync. With your contacts, you can go into the main Settings app, then App Manager>(All tab)>Contacts. Once there, select clear data.

  • How do I delete all calendar entries from iPhone 3G S

My iPhone calendar is out of sync with Outlook (2007, connected to an Exchange server). There are appointments no longer in Outlook that are still on the iPhone, and appointments with the wrong time on the iPhone. SO I want to remove all the calendar entries from the iPhone and then redownload everything from Outlook.
So how do I delete all the calendar items from the iPhone WITHOUT deleting them from Outlook or messing with my Outlook profile?

Thanks, Allan. Actually, I prefer to sync my calendar via iTunes because I refresh Outlook and sync via iTunes much more frequently than I fire up VPN to get directly to exchange. But I did use your tip the other way - I turn ON Exchange Calendars to blow away my current iPhone content, then turned it back off to delete the Exchange content. That left me with an empty iPhone calendar that I could then load via iTunes sync.

  • How to securely delete e-mails?

How can I securely delete an e-mail from iMAC and from Time Machine?

How is it possible to move a mail message directly from Mail to the Finder Trash, where there is the Secure Empty option? It is not possible to drag a message from Mail to the Finder Trash.
I would think this has to be done by first moving the message to the Mail Trash by deleting it, then navigating to the Mail folder in the user Library>Mailboxes>Deleted Messages.mbox and finding the specific e.mlx message there. Then move that to the Trash and use Secure Emtpy.
I don't use TM, but I know there are caveats for deleting using the Finder. This can be risky.

  • TS1906 How do I delete a calendar in iCal?

I no longer own a Mac 4G tower as the product info suggests but am using and iMac with Lion. I can't seem to delete unneeded calendars and can't print a birthday calendar with only birthday info including. I am becomimg increasingly frustrated with the limitations of this calendar. I have used a Palm Pilot calendar for a good many years and I think Apple can do better than Palm.

I have the same issue. I have even deleted my icloud account, deleted the calendar from my ipad, created a new icloud calendar and seconds later the deleted calendar is back.
Really, it is not possible to delete a calendar from your iPad?

  • How can i delete a calendar

After syncing I have 2 calendars, one is named calendar the other is named home. I want to delete the one named home.
Also, how can I search these discussion forums? When i tried to search using the search box on the top right it gives me a bunch of results that have nothing to do with the discussion forums.

I don't have a home calendar in my outlook. I have one calendar that sits on the exchange server and a personal calendar. It appears that the phone still sees a home calendar somewhere.
No matter what I do I can't get it to sync to my calendars anymore. I knew I shouldn't have updated so quickly.

  • How do I delete multiple calendars?

I am on a pc. I use an iPhone 4 and recently bought an iPad 2. Previously, i was syncing my old iphone 3G. I haven't sync my iPad 2 yet cos I am trying not to have 2 calendars on my iPad 2 if I were to sync it on my laptop and iPhone 4. I would like to delete one of the calendars on my iPhone before I sync it with my iPad 2. I tried syncing with my iTunes by selecting only one calendar to sync but iTunes would naturally default to all calendars, which is weird. So far, I can't delete one of the calendars or merge the two calendars.
    Thanks in advance.

I finally found one sure-fire fix but it is a pain. Restore to original setting but DO NOT restore a backup. Instead set up the phone as new. This gets rid of the corruption that causes this. Obviously make sure you have backed up your contacts etc and you have noted all your personalised settings. It wasted my afternoon, but fixed my issue.

  • How do I delete entire batch of photos, except those in an album?

I'm in the midst of taking large batches of photos. For example, I import a batch of 500 images into iPhoto from my camera. From that batch, I only want to keep 10 photos which are randomly located thruout the batch. I then want to delete the remaining 490.
I select the 10 photos I want to keep and place them into an album. Then I'm stumped! If I trash the whole batch, I will also be trashing those images I just selected to keep in the album.
How do I select and delete only those 490 images which I do not want to keep? Surely there is a better way to do this short of painstakingly deselecting the 10 keepers by their file number.
    Thanks for any help.

You can do this with a Smart Album that has two conditions.
    File -> New Smart Album
Set it to Match All the conditions
    Then
Event -> Contains -> The Name of the Event
    +
Album -> is not -> Any
This will find all the photos in that Event that are not in an Album
Then in the Smart Album Select All and go SHift-Command-Delete to move them to the trash.
