Hi,
To send hyper links, you can add the links in the FollowUp Activity.
The content of the mail from the alert framework will be a text mail.
One option would be to check in your SCOT settings if it would be possible to set the Content Type as TEXT/HTML . If yes, then maybe this should be possible.

How to send php email using email from recordset?

Hi
I know the headers to use for php mail(), and I use it for
the contact form for my viewers in order to contact the directory
listing's email address ( of which I have hidden by using the words
'Email Us' and use the id to carry through to the form).
I have sucessfully used the $to = [email protected] but when I
want to use the $row_?['email'] it will not send.
Any suggestions? I use a recordset to retrieve the id of the
listing to the contact form.
I will want to follow the same procedure for my jobseekers to
contact employers job adverts.

How to send meeting invites using Exchange Email Account

Does anybody know how to send meeting invitations using the 3.0 software update?
My corporate email is set up with an Exchange ActiveSync account, but I can't figure out how to send meeting invites?
Is it a function solely of the iPhone 3.0 OS, or is it dependent on the Exchange setup.
Any insight would be appreciated.

If you want to send a friendly message to your users, then you can do this by building an ABAP program that calls function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 . You can then insert this ABAP program in your process chain (using the ABAP program process type) or as a second step in your background job. With this technique, you can send an email to SAP users, or to external users (e..g Outlook email addresses)
Here's a sample ABAP code:

You can test out the function module first in SE37 (just put the name of the FM and click execute). Testing it in SE37 will help you get your parameters right.

Sending HTML email with SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1

Hi all,
I have implemented a function module to send HTML emails with SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
It works fine, but in every email I have at the end a CRLF which looks not very nice in MS Outlook.
It seems that this will be added to every email in addition to my HTML text.
Has anyone an idea how I can prevent this?

Hi Marcel,
not only you can, you should use CL_BCS for sending of email. Although I expect it to be not too different from the old functions, it points to the object oriented future of SAP/ABAP. At least it should run more stable and SAP recommends to use it as a replacement for old functions.

You may be careful with this one: Probably it's not exactly what you need.
The one I love most for its simplicity is this one

Sending an email Using IChannel

I am developing a portal component which would send an email using the IChannel's sendTo method. The problem is the sendTo method takes the to and from addresses of the receiver and sender in a channel specific format. For which I could use the following code

I'm not sure I understand you correctly.
The to and from addresses are the email addresses of the sender and the reciever.
These are simple strings, just as you would write them in the "To:" section when you sent an ordinary e-mail.
You can use "annonymous" as the from address if you don't have an address to send from.
Here's an example:

createMessage() is for you to implement of course.

Good you're on 11.1.1.6. The link in Vlad and copied into my response should help then.
You'd fill in the fields for the to, from, subject, cc, message body using variable(s) you populated upstream in the process.
You're not there yet, but most people struggle (me included) getting the email server set up to send the emails once the process is deployed and running. Here are the steps:
In Enterprise Manager:
1. Expand "SOA" -> right mouse click "soa-infra" -> click "SOA Administration" -> click "Workflow Notification Properties".
2. Select "Email" from the Notification Mode dropdown and enter email adresses for the three fields.
3. Expand "User Message Service" -> right mouse click "usermessagingdriver-email" -> click "Email Driver Properties".
4. Scroll down until you see the email server properties -> enter the appropriate values in these fields: OutgoingMailServer, OutgoingUsername, OutgoingPassword.
Verify that the user(s) you want to send emails to have an email address set. If you are using the default WebLogic security, in the WebLogic Console:
5. Click "Security Realms" -> click "myrealm".
6. Click the "Users and Groups" tab -> click the "User" tab.
7. Click the user id of the user you will be sending email to.
8. Click the "Attributes" tab -> make sure the "mail" attribute has a valid email address. If it does not have an email address, once you have entered it, be sure to hit the Enter* key to have it stick in the field.

In the csv file, the column headers must match the the special references in curly brackets.
So you either change the column header in .csv file or the bit in the curly brackets in the Template email.
To change the column header:
In the example shown below, I wanted to use the first two columns
'First Name', 'Last Name' note the exact spelling.
I also wanted the email address which was in a column called 'Primary Email'.
To make it easier for me, I copied the Primary Email column and inserted it into the third column position and then changed the column header name from 'Primary Email' to 'Email'. (This meant I still had the original column header just in case). see image below.
But you could just change the column header name from 'Primary Email' to 'Email' without moving column about - up to you.
At this point check that all the contacts do have a valid email address.
then save the file.
If you do not want to edit the .csv file, then you need to edit the template email.
eg: {{First Name}} {{Last Name}} <{{Email}}>
change to : {{First Name}} {{Last Name}} <{{Primary Email}}>
If still having an issue, please post two images.
One image needs to show the row of column headers used in .csv file.
The other image needs to show the Template email, so I can see how you have used the curly brackets.
