How to send smartform as email (smartform content in the email body)

Hi,
When I call my smartform, I want to send the smartform content as email. I am seeing one structure : MAIL_RECIPIENT.
I have the mail id in my hand : xyz. However, based on this email id, how to populate the structure MAIL_RECIPIENT since it has Object ID, Object type and descrption. But No field for Email ID.
Can any one help me out, in this.
Thanks,
Sandeep

Hi,
No not the PDF. The content it self should go as email.
For that only we need to populate MAIL_RECIPIENT structure.
But my doubt is how to populate this structure. It has no field for email ID.
Thanks,
Sandeep

    hi Vinod,
    Can you please tell me how you have zipped the file.
    I am having a text file in application server. I need to zip that file. Then the middleware moves it to Legacy system.
    I used the following code. With this I am having the data in Binary format which my midleware cannot understand.
    What I need on the whole is just to reduce the size of the file.
    form ZIP_FILE .
    DATA: lt_data TYPE TABLE OF x255,
          lt_textdata TYPE TABLE OF x255.
    DATA: ls_data LIKE LINE OF lt_data.
    DATA: lv_dsn1(100) VALUE '/ECD/120/GIS/FTP/IB/DNBPAYDEX.TXT'.
    DATA: lv_dsn3(100) VALUE '/ECD/120/GIS/FTP/IB/DNBPAYDEXZIP.zip'.
    *DATA: lv_dsn3(100) VALUE '/interfaces/SM5/test.zip'. " Contains sample1.xls and sample2.xls
    DATA: lv_file_length TYPE i.
    DATA: lv_content TYPE xstring.
    DATA: lo_zip TYPE REF TO cl_abap_zip.
    CREATE OBJECT lo_zip.
    Read the data as a string
    clear lv_content .
    OPEN DATASET lv_dsn1 FOR INPUT IN BINARY MODE.
    READ DATASET lv_dsn1 INTO lv_content .
    CLOSE DATASET lv_dsn1.
    lo_zip->add( name = 'sample.TXT' content = lv_content ).
    lv_content = lo_zip->save( ).
    *clear lv_content .
    Conver the xstring content to binary
    CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
    EXPORTING
    buffer = lv_content
    IMPORTING
    output_length = lv_file_length
    TABLES
    binary_tab = lt_data.
    OPEN DATASET lv_dsn3 FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
    LOOP AT lt_textdata INTO ls_data.
    TRANSFER ls_data TO lv_dsn3.
    ENDLOOP.
    CLOSE DATASET lv_dsn3.
    IF sy-subrc EQ '0'.
        MESSAGE s999(zfi_ap_gl) WITH text-t10.

  • How to send photos as email attachments???

    This is a ridiculously easy and simple question but I'm a mac newbie and can't figure out how to send photos as email attachments, not embed them in the body of the email. Every time I go to send a picture or group of pictures from i-photo an email message opens....the pictures are embedded in the body of the email and that's how they appear to receipients. In a test, I've sent them to a PC...the message comes through just fine but the photos don't have separate attachments that I can click on and "save as." they come through as bitmap files. Any ideas? THANK YOU.

    It will not ALWAYS fix the problem that this topic is about; I had my Mail preferences set to send as Plain Text and it did not fix the problem. Additionally, since there is NOT an option in Iphoto as you previously noted, it might be confusing to some people.
    However, for those of you who have the same problem, there seems to be a solution that worked for me. I also had the problem that Mail was overriding my sizing preference when I selected them in Iphoto (share > email) and always sending them as small instead of medium as I preferred.
    Since it seems that sometimes Mail does not deploy the plain text default so you need to kick start it to remember. This is how I did it....
    - Select the photos you want and hit SHARE > EMAIL in Iphoto
    - Now, in Mail click on the photo browser button
    - Find another photo in Iphoto via the browser and drag and drop it into the email that you're composing
    - You'll see a size option appear in the bottom right hand corner
    - Playing around with the sizing option a few times kicked it into gear and it seems to be working better since then
    I hope that helps anyone who has had the same problem.

  • How to send sms port from Desktop applications to the Midlet?

    how to send sms port from Desktop applications to the Midlet?

    Depends on the API your SMS gateway provides, and may not even be possible. Even if you can send the SMS with a port specified, be aware that some carriers deliver the SMS without the port number, which will result in it going to the device inbox and so won't activate your MIDlet registered with the PushRegistry.
    I understand that you're working on a JavaSE application, but members who frequent the mobility forums might have more knowledge about this. Would you like me to move this thread there?

    I developed the service implementation and a service client using wsimport, jaxb, jaxws.
    Trying running the client I get the exception:
    Cannot find dispatch method for {http://example.com/stockquote.xsd}TradePriceRequest
    Running the message request generated by soapUI has the same effect.
    The soap message request generated by soapUI, given the above WSDL, is:
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:stoc="http://example.com/stockquote.xsd">
    <soapenv:Header/>
    <soapenv:Body>
    <stoc:TradePriceRequest/>
    </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    but in the wsdl spec it should be:
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <soapenv:Body>
    <m:GetLastTradePrice xmlns:m="Some-URI">
    <m:tickerSymbol>DIS</m:tickerSymbol>
    </m:GetLastTradePrice>
    </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    In other word, the content of the soap body should be the wsdl operation or the complex type representing the input part?

    I am a newbie, so I don't know if my reply will be helpful.
    Reading the fault "Cannot find dispatch method for {http://example.com/stockquote.xsd}TradePriceRequest", I think the problem is that TradePriceRequest is a type for a message and it is treated as an operation. The content of the SOAP message should be the operation (GetLastTradePrice) and nested inside the operation should be the parameters for the operation (the complex type...). So the answer is probably "both", one inside the other.
    I think that the message as you wrote it:
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <soapenv:Body>
    <m:GetLastTradePrice xmlns:m="Some-URI">
    <m:tickerSymbol>DIS</m:tickerSymbol>
    </m:GetLastTradePrice>
    </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    is correct.
