    hi shanu,
    the pbm is solved, now i m able to access XXX no. in action class & i m able to validate it. The only thing which i want to know is it ok to declare static ArrayList as i have done in this code. i mean will it affect the performance or functionality of the system.
    pls have a look at the following code snippet.
    public class XMLValidator {
    static ArrayList strXXX = new ArrayList();
    public void validate(){
    factory.setValidating(true);

  • How to remove Unicode from XML file

    I get following error when unmarshal xml:
    [java] org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x15) was found in the element content of the document.
    Anyone know how to remove Unicode from xml file? Can I remove the unicode by rebuild the file?
    Thanks

    These sort of error usually occur when you're using a different character encoding to read the file than the one you wrote it with. Perhaps if you were to post the problem section of the file and/or the code that created it in the first place.

  • How to set encoding for xml Marshaller?

    Hi,
    I am using SAPXMLToolkit. And I use XMLMarshaller to convert from xml to java classes (jaxb classes). Now when I get some characters like ü, the marshaller gives an error
    com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: Unsupported character: 69(:main:, row:1, col:323)

    How do I solve this?? How do I set encoding for the marshaller?
    Regards,
    Guru

    Hi ogre,
    To set the encoding scheme for an XML document, you can use the createProcessingInstruction. Our CVIXML instrument driver (which
    is basically and user-friendly wrapper made around the MSXML interface) uses
    this method to specify the version of the XML document. So, what you could do
    is simply modify our existing CVIXML instrument driver to include the encoding.
    It's actually quite simple to do this.
    First off, open up the cvixml.c file
    located in the <CVI>\toolslib\toolbox directory in CVI. Then change the
    value of the constant XML_PROC_INSTR_DATA
    (located on line 42) from "version=\"1.0\"" to "version=\"1.0\"
    encoding=\"UTF-8\"". The save your source file and
    select Options >> Create Object file. This object file
    (cvixml.obj) is attached to your cvixml.fp function panel.
    To test this out, you could simply use some code like
    CVIXMLNewDocument ("RootElement", &xmlDoc);
    CVIXMLSaveDocument (xmlDoc, 0, "C:\\Test.xml");
    Then the Test.xml document should say
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <RootElement/>
    Hope this helps!

  • How to retrieve data from XML

    I have a scenario where I need to read data from database of xmltype (data type)
    Table Structure :
    Create table Ex_Tb (id number(30),emp_data XMLType );
    I can save xml content in database,
    Sample
    insert into Ex_Tb values( 1, xmltype ('<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?><userdata><uniqueid>54321</uniqueid><name>moorthi</name><age>25</age><city>Chennai</city></userdata>'));
    Data inserted .
    When retrieved from DB I see the data in the generated BO as given below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <ExteOutputCollection xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/db/Exte file:/C:/JDeveloper/mywork/Application1/Project1/xsd/Exte.xsd" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/db/Exte">
    <ExteOutput>
    <SDD_XML_REQ_DATA_GETCLOBVAL__><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?><userdata><uniqueid>54321</uniqueid><name>moorthi</name><age>25</age><city>Chennai</city></userdata></SDD_XML_REQ_DATA_GETCLOBVAL__>
    </ExteOutput>
    </ExteOutputCollection>
    My Question :
    1. How to retrive values of individual tags contained within the embedded XML so that it can be mapped to a BO?
    Basically I would like to map uniqueId, name,age,city from xml to a BO.
    Rgds,
    Krishna

    Hi Krishna,
    I'm not sure but are you selecting the data from the XMLType column as given in the section Using XMLType in an SQL Statement in the below doc?

  • How convert date/time from xml in xdp(Designer)?

    Hi, i want to convert date/time format from xml in Designer, date/time value in xml is NOT in common format YYYY-MM-DD (if is in a common format i can do this with pattern)
    I have a "DateTime" Field in Xdp can get from Xml date and time:
    In XML <DateTime>DD-MM-YYYY</DateTime> i want to convert in XDP in DateTime Field in "DD-April-YYYY"
    Can i do this?

    You can do this way..
    Bind the date field to your XML tag.
    Set the display pattern for the date field.
    In the initialize event of the date field place the following code.
    Set JavaScript as language.
    var dtStr = this.rawValue;
    var pos1=dtStr.indexOf("-");
    var pos2=dtStr.indexOf("-",pos1+1);
    var strMonth=dtStr.substring(0,pos1);
    var strDay=dtStr.substring(pos1+1,pos2);
    var strYear=dtStr.substring(pos2+1);
    //Assign the formatted value to the Date field.
    this.rawValue = strYear + "-" + strMonth + "-" + strDay;
    Thanks

  • How to remove indents from XML?

    I have a xml like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <view>
         <help>
              <block>No.1</block>
              <device>USB</device>

    How could I output the xml to :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><view><help><block>No.1</block>          <device>USB</device></help></view>
    The reason to output like this is to make the xml comparison passed.
    I use org.custommonkey.xmlunit.XMLTestCase.compareXML to compare two xml string, one from Java code, the other from C# code. Now, since there are new lines and whitespaces embedded in the Java generated XML, the comparison always failed. Is there any way to output the indent xml to the one string only?

    Try running the strings through something like this before comparing:
    String <stringname> = <stringname>.replaceAll("\\n|\\t|\\s|\\r", "");
    that should normalize them both to no spaces, tabs, newlines, carrage returns.

  • How to set songs from music as ringtones for contacts

    How do I set songs from my music that is on the phone as ringtones for different contacts?

    Songs and ringtones have different formats.  They are not interchangeable.  You would have to convert a song into a ringtone.
    If you have a Mac, you could use the GarageBand app to do that.  If you have a PC, there are apps to do the conversion, but I cannot name one.

  • How to Set "delete from hub and server" for each account

    How can I set "delete from hub and server" differently for each account?
    I have 3 emails (2 shared, 1 personal).
    the personal is a 'hotmail' account which has device set to 'sync email', 'push', and 'Use SSL'.
    it will only sync one way (from desktop to device).
    I cannot set the global setting on the device to "delete from Hub and server" without affecting all accounts.
    I do not want to have to confirm delete on every item.
    previous to the 10.3 update this was not an issue.
    am i missing something? or is this another step backwards?

    The only other way would be to set it to prompt every time you get an email. Yeah, I know that defeats the purpose.. I guess in this aspect it is a step back

  • How to set classpath from java class ??

    I have tried to use System.setProperty("java.class.path", "my class path string ") to set classpath dynamically. But it is not working. How to set it dynamically from java class ?? Thanks , gary

    Look into the java.net.URLClassLoader. You can't set the classpath after the fact but you can specify URL's that will checked when you try to load a class with that loader.
