How to set the proxy server in MIDP?

I will establish an HttpConnertion and use it to contact a website.
I use a simulators to test the HttpConnertion program by JBuilder,I can't contact the outside website. how to specify the proxy for a MIDlet application

[huangs_07],
This depends on the CLDC/MIDP implementation of the device e.g. the Palm's CLDC/kVM Java Application Manager software contains a menu for a Palm user to input the http proxy server for all the MIDlets to use when making a http connection.
What emulator are using to test your MIDlet that is making the http connection?

  • How to set a Proxy Server for appletv

The network I'm on requires that I set a Proxy server to get out to the internet.
Is there anyway to specify a Proxy server for AppleTV?

    Hi Red-Baron,
The Apple TV does not support Proxy Server configuration (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305010). An alternative is to enable internet sharing on a computer and have the Apple TV connect to that computer.

  • CRM 2013 - How to set a Proxy server for plugins to run with?

We have several plugins that need to query web services on the Internet, and I need them to go through a specific proxy server.  How do I set this without hard coding the proxy into the plugins?  I've tried adding the proxy to the machine.config,
I've updated the web.config in the CRMWeb folder, I've even added the proxy to IE under the users used by the App Pool Identity then used netsh winhttp to make this a system proxy.  None of these have allowed my registered plugins to access the internet.
    Any thoughts?  Thanks.

The way I'd do it is to not rely on .config files, but instead set it programmatically in the plugin, and either store the proxy configuration data in the configuration string for the plugin registration step, or store it in some custom configuration entity

    Hi Mike,
The problem is OSB doesn't seem to let me set the same port for both http and https on a proxy. Can you please let us know the exact problem you are facing? I hope you would have referred below links as well -

  • Setting the proxy in the JRE

    Hello all,
I was just wondering how I can set the proxy I use in the JRE. If possible how I can set the auto configuration script but failing that setting the proxy server and port number would be fine.
    Thanks

You can set the properties http.proxyHost and http.proxyPort (see http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/docs/guide/net/properties.html). If you need to authenticate take a look at http://www.developer.com/java/other/article.php/1551421

  • How to set the parameter of xi header in server proxy

    Hi,
Does anyone have idea, how to set ref_to_message_id of a client proxy in the server proxy? My problem is, I send a message to a server proxy. The server proxy receives the message, retrieves the message id and tries to set the ref_to_message_id of the message, which will be sent to a client proxy, with its message id. I only find some useful functions to get these information of client proxy and server proxy like message_id etc. in runtime. But I did not find the "set" function to set these parameters. Maybe someone can tell me at first, if it is possible to set such parameters in runtime in server proxy.
    Can anyone help?
    regard
    hu

    Hi Chilla,
what I want is to monitor the related message bundle easily. In my server proxy, many different client proxies are called and messages are transfered. So under the SXMB_MONI I will find many message exchanges for one server proxy call. Because the server proxy is called so often, I cannot distinguish under the SXMB_MONI, which message exchanges are caused by which server proxy call.
So I have an idea. If I can set the ref_to_message_id of the messages for the client proxy calls with the message id of the server proxy call, then I can at first select the message of the server proxy call and find the messages for the related client proxy calls easily using the button "referencing message". The message id of the server proxy call can be retrieved. So my problem is now, how to set the ref_to_message_id of the messages for the client proxy calls with this messag id in the server proxy.
Of cource, if anyone has better idea, how to resolve the situation in another way without setting the ref_to_message_id, pleases inform me.
    regards

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.

  • My Firefox no longer works, it will not go to any website and offers the message "The proxy server is rejecting connections". I had the same problem in IExplorer but was able to fix it. I did not choose a proxy server, ever. How do I fix this in Firefox?

I changed out my wireless router, from a Linksys to a Netgear. Everything seemed to work fine, but shortly afterward Firefox could not be used to find any websites, and gave me the message above. The same happened with Internet Explorer, but a tech representative for my ISP directed me to the page where "proxy server" was incorrectly checked and it fixed the problem. I don't know where to go in Firefox to find the same or a similar page. My laptop continued to work fine for some time after, but eventually developed the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, with no luck, and all desktop shortcuts based on Firefox are inoperative. I just keep getting the message that the proxy server is rejecting connections. Since I did not select a proxy server, I don't know how to deselect it.

No idea what "tried everything" means.
Here is how you troubleshoot a password problem.
Go to your email providers web mail page and verify that you have a working username and password by logging into your account there. If you cannot log in there, look for the link to reset your password. Your email password is administered with your email provider.
Once you have a working password you need to remove any stored passwords in Thunderbird and replace with the new, working password.
From the menu bar select''' Tools-Options-Security-Passwords-Stored Passwords'''
Remove the passwords for the problem account. Close Thunderbird and restart it. You will be asked for a password. Enter the new password.
No menu bar with Tools? Press the '''alt '''key.
FYI: Thunderbird settings are stored in a different file from the program. Removing the program and reinstalling just keeps you busy for a little while and rarely fixes anything. As you have seen the old settings are picked up when Thunderbird is reinstalled.

  • How to set the CLASSPATH in Unix Server

Do anyone noe how to set the CLASSPATH in the hp-ux server? I tried the setenv CLASSPATH, but not working.. I think should use export. But my jsp pages still cannot working, dunnoe y?
I wonder is the hp-ux support jsp and servlet or not?
In order to let the jsp and servlet to run properly in the unix server, what kinds of steps should taken ?
Hope somemore who experience with this situation b4 can give me some guidance.. Thanks~~
    regards,

Tomcat ignores any and all CLASSPATH environment variables. Even if you could figure out how to set it, Tomcat wouldn't use it.
Better to learn how Tomcat's CLASSPATH works and how to deploy Web apps properly. - MOD

  • How to set the Server CLASSPATH?

    Hi all Oracle Java experts,
I know this is a rather stupid questions:
Where can I set the CLASSPATH of the Servlet Engine in Oracle 8.1.7.?
I spent hours now searching the documentation and found loads of hints what to add to the CLASSPATH in which circumstances, but not how to... Of course I know how to use the CLASSPATH in a normal Java environment, but not in the OSE.
In the "Oracle8i Application Developer's Guide - XML" it says in the "Using XSQL Servlet" Chapter:
"How you set the CLASSPATH of the web server's Servlet environment and how you associate a Servlet with a file extension are done differently for each web server. The XSQL Servlet's Release Notes contain detailed setup information for specific web servers you might want to use with XSQL Pages."
Unfortunately, the Release Notes contain this information for Tomcat, Apache JServ etc., but not for Oracle's own Servlet Engine... Maybe you should include that information.
    Thanks for any help;-)
    Cheers

Not sure if I understatnd the context in which you want to set your classpath.
IDE, java or system but ...
look at the profile file /etc/profile
    CLASSPATH= "/usr/local/jdk1.4......"
    export CLASSPATH
    or
    javac -classpath .;/usr/local/jkd1.4.... test.java
    or
    whatever your ide provides.

  • How to set the servlet context path manually in Tomcat web server.

I tested some servlets by putting them in the folder , which the tomcats examples application uses (ie Tomcat 4.1\webapps\examples\WEB-INF\classes\) and it appeared to be working fine.
I was calling the servlet like this : http://localhost:2006/examples/servlet/TestServlet
But when I installed my own WAR file in the server , the servlet is not working now. now the new location of my servlets is : Tomcat 4.1\webapps\MyApp\WEB-INF\classes\
and I'm trying to call the servlet like this : http://localhost:2006/MyApp/servlet/TestServlet
The error , what i'm getting is :
description :The requested resource (/MyApp/servlet/TestServlet) is not available.
Some body please tell where I'm making the mistake ? I believe this may have something to do with the servlet context path setting. If anybody has any idea , how to set the path..will be much appreciated.

Thanx for your reply , at first I was not using any web.xml(since not mandatory) but even after using the web.xml file the error is coming . Please have a look into the contents of the web.xml file and let me know if you find any problem...
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <!DOCTYPE web-app
    PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN"

    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>TestServlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>TestServlet</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    </web-app>
one more thing I would like to tell you here. I was just looking into the configuration of Iplanet web server..I found that , there are options to set the servlet container path (like : - Prefix: /servlet
    Servlet Directory: /ecomm/iplanet/nes60/product/docs/container )
so from here I came to know that "container " is the folder where we should put our servlets and it has URI as "servlet" but yet I'm not able to find any option in the Tomcat Web server to set the servlet container to any different directory.
If you have any idea please let me know.

  • After a Network Attack where the Proxy Server was enabled, disabling it still leaves page components missing with "Declaration Dropped" in Error Log. What other setting was changed?

A fake security program claimed corruption, and when it was
deleted it left both FF and IE with the Proxy Server enabled.
When the Proxy was disabled, IE works but FF is failing to
display many page components. Warning in the Error Console have
problems with some HTTP text and then "Declaration Dropped".
What other setting has been changed?
Is there a log of Changes to the Settings?
    Shouldn't Changes being confirmed?

    cor-el,
    >...>Resetting all the parameters back to their defaults cleared the problem, but it did '''NOT''' point out which setting was changed to cause the problem. (It is like picking up some of those bed-bugs and then burning down your house to get rid of them.)
    >...>The "master-reset" also does not save a copy of what the setting were so all the problems solved in the past by a settings change will have to be revisited. If it doesn't make a ''prefs-<n>.js'' file, it would have been nice if you would have mentioned it, so one could have been made manually.
    >...>The other advice you give would only be helpful if the agent changing the settings was still present. Which it was not. Clearing all the Cookies means alot of re-entry of info for sites using them properly. So you shouldn't recommend it when there is no indication of an on-going problem. And certainly not without warning of the consequences.
You seem very active on this site, but you have not defined any contact information. Are you a developer? If not, are these problems monitored by them? Are do we have to go to MOZILLA.ORG and submit information there?

  • Whenever I try to go to a website I get the following message: The proxy server is refusing connections. How do I fix this?

My web proider is Verizon Fios. I've contacted Verizon 4 times about this. I was instructed to delete Firefox and then download again. It didn't help. I'm able to get to your main window. Then, when I try to go to any website, the following window comes up: "The proxy server is refusing connections. Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections. It tells me to "Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct." I tried that w/ my Verizon support person but how is one to know what "settings" are "correct"? Finally the window instructs: "Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working." Who would my "network administrator" be? It wasn't Verizon as they told me they don't support Mozilla.

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection

  • How could I set the proxy settings for just some URLs and not for all?

    Hello,
I am using HttpURLConnection to establish a HTTP connection . The connection pass through a proxy, and it requires security.
I know that I can set the proxy settings in the system properties, and this works perfect.
But I don't want to set the proxy settings in the system properties, because this proxy settings will be for ALL the URLs, and I just want for a few URLs.
How could I set the proxy settings for just some URLs and not for all?
