How to set up gap on bar chart (Y-AXIS)

I have a column graph that displays Month on X-AXIS and quantity of complaint on Y-AXIS.
The quantity per customer can be different.
Eg: Customer A can have value from 50 to 10000
Customer B can have value from 0 to 5.
The problem I have is:
When it is customer A, it works well on Y-AXIS. it shows 0, 1000, 2000.... 10000
But, when it is customer B, it shows 0, 0.5, 1.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 .... 5.0
How can I get rid of the decimals?
I have formatted the number to be without decimal. But, it is still showing 0,0.5, 1.0 etc.

what you need to do is to use 2 charts in conditionally suppressed sections. this is because the axis labels can not be formatted dynamically.
so create a new section below the section where your chart is now, copy your existing chart and then format the scale in the new chart by right clicking on one of the Y axis values and choosing Data Y Axis Options. use the Scale & Numbers tab options to format the axis for this new chart.
now you need to conditionally suppress the original section and the new section. you may want the original section to show up when the Y Axis maximum is going to be greater than 100 so your suppression formula would be something like
maximum({your value field}, {your customer group field}) <= 100
and the suppression formula for the second section would be something like
maximum({your value field}, {your customer group field}) > 100

How to set up Airport Extreme with Charter ARRIS Modem TM902A for the first time for WIRELESS.
When Charter Tech goes to your site, have them connect the modem up, but do not connect the modem to your iMAC or MacBook Pro. What you want to do is connect the Airport Extreme to the iMac or MacBook Pro first with the Ethernet Cable. You have to do this to configure via Airport Utility to set up the Base Station Name & Base Station Password.
You will then create/configure a Wireless Network, create your Wireless Password that will be entered on each of your Devices, example, Apple Tv, your iPhone, etc., you want to allow access to your Wireless Network you are creating.
Wireless Security will be -> WPA/WPA2 personal or just WPA2
Enter the Wireless Password you want
Verify the Wireless Password (enter it again)
After it is created you will see it on the Airport Utility window with the name you created for it and to the left, will be a Dot (circle that will be yellow).
Next you then want to unplug the power to the Airport Extreme, and then take the end of the Ethernet cable you unplugged from the iMac or Lap top MacBook Pro and connect it to the back of the Modem.
Next unplug the power cord from the modem and wait about 5 minutes, then plug the power back into the Arris Modem and wait until all lights come back on the modem wait
about 5 minutes, then plug the power cord back to the Airport Extreme and you will see it the light blinking yellow. Wait about 5 to 10 minutes, during this time Restart you IMAC or MacBook Pro, and once it is back up click on the Airport Utility and you should see on the Airport Utility screen.
For INTERNET to the left the light should be green and you should see the Airport Extreme also appear and the light to the left on the screen should also be green. If they are, you then should be able to click on the Wireless Symbol on top of bar of the screen and click to select the Wireless Network Name you created.
If you Do Not See the light (Icon) next to INTERNET turn Green, or if you see the Internet Light Green, but the Light (Icon) next to the Airport Extreme is yellow, unplug the power again to the modem and unplug the power again to the Airport extreme and wait about 15 minutes or up to 30 minutes. Then plug the power cord back to the modem wait till all the lights light up then, plug the power cord back into the Airport Extreme and Restart your iMAC or MacBook Pro.
The Airport Extreme light should change from yellow to green. Open up the Airport Utility to see what the indicators are showing they should both be green. Again select Wireless network you created under the Wireless Icon on the top right of the screen. Open Safari and see if you are able to Route to a web page or the apple site should appear.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR AIRPORT EXTREME WAS PREVIOUSLY SET UP FOR USE WITH ANOTHER CARRIERS ROUTER OR MODEM.
NOTE: If you already had your Airport Extreme connected for example, I previously had ATT Uverse and the Airport Extreme was connected to the Wireless Router Model 3801HGV, I disabled the Uverse Wireless and used the Airport Extreme for the Wireless signal in bridge mode, as the Airport extreme Signal is much stronger than the Uverse router, and I was able to obtain a Wireless signal with the Airport Extreme way much better with no signal loss which was very very frustrating with the Uverse router.
Anyhow if you had it hooked up like this, now that you will be using it with the Charter ARRIS Modem TM902A, you will need to reset the Airport Extreme to clear out the old data it has in memory, with the previous set up otherwise it will not work. Trust me I spent 6 hours trying to make it work reading all Apple Support Community questions and answers relating to this type issue/problem others have been having trying to get their set up working. I tried all the tips, and I finally decided just to see if by chance I would be able to connect with someone with Charter Tech support who might be familiar with Apple to be able to assist me and by luck I did. He told me why it was not working and was all due the previous configuration with the ATT Uverse router was still in memory with the Airport Extreme. Finally it was 10:30 PM when I decided to call Charter Tech Support and I had been working on this since 3:00 pm pacific. I did not call them earlier as all the post I read said they never received any good help from Charter. After calling them I finished up by 11:00 PM and was able to finally connect Apple Tv, iMac, iPhones and Macbook Pro. We love our Apple Product and Happy all is connected with the new
Internet Provider Charter. I must say the speed is way way much better than it ever was with AT&T Uverse.
THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:
First you will need to unplug the Airport Extreme, then by taking the tip of a pen or paper clip end you need to push the reset button on the back of the Airport Extreme and hold it
down and at the same time plug the power cord back into the Airport Extreme count to 5 or 10 then release the reset button. Then once he light in front of the Airport Extreme stops blinking you need to plug the Ethernet cable from the Airport Extreme to your iMAC or Macbook Pro, and restart which ever one you have, then open the Airport Utility once it is back up. If you see airport extreme pop up with the old network name or it shows and yellow triangle click on the Airport Extreme ICON it will not let you configure it but will ask if you want to get rid of it or remove and just do it. Then Again restart your iMAC or MacBook Pro, open up Airport Utility again, and on the top left you should see under “Other Airport Base Stations” the MAC ID for the Airport Extreme.

I just got a Charter Modem. Model TM822. While I was moving, my Airport Extreme was still at my old place.
I have a Linksys WRT320N I used for the initial Charter setup.
I can get my Airport to work here, but the Internet light on the Modem flashes Yellow.
Hasn't caused any issues so far but one thing I did notice.
On the Linksys there were 3 DNS servers listed.
The Airport Extreme only lists 2 and i don't see where I could add another, only change whats already there.
I tried everything above, but light on modem still flashes yellow.
I have the technicians cell phone. Told me "that shouldn't be" and gave the same advice listed above.
I'll break down and call Charter one day, see if it's on their end. NSA tracking may need a reset LMAO.

I just opened an old file that I created with Crystal Excelsius and I see the stacked bar chart visible in the components window of my old files.
Why has stacked bar chart disappeared from the components window in my new files? It seems many of the components have "disappeared" including stacked bar, candlestick charts, area charts and most of the background components.

How to highlight different color in bar chart above the mark

I have a bar chart in which im displaying it in blue color in obiee 11g. In graph properties i have set a scale marker to the point 4000, so that a line is appearing horizontally at the point 4000 in the bar chart. My chart is exceeding above 4000, as it reaches upto 5000.
I need to set a color to the graph such that from *0-4000, i need to have one color* and above from 4000-5000 i need to highlight it with a different color.
How to possible it to highlight with different color above that *4000 mark in my bar chart*.

From your initial post I thought you meant you wanted to change the colour of the bit above the line for every bar that went over the line.
The solution above works because stacked bar will use different colours for different measures - by splitting your original measure into one measure for the data up to the line and another measure for any data above the line you achieve this. Bars that don't cross the line will only show one colour, bars that do cross the line will show two.
eg
original measure/new measure 1/new measure 2
2000/2000/0
3000/3000/0
5000/4000/1000
5500/4000/1500
The other scenario is that you want the whole bar to be coloured if it crosses the line. If that's the case then there is a conditional formatting section under graph properties->style->style and conditional formatting.

I know this is a really old question but ...
I thought I'd provide a little insight since I had the same problem. If, as in the case described, the values are specified to have 0 decimal places, and the range of the data is, say, between 0 and a small number then the Y scale/range may be 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, ... But at 1 decimal place, these may display (truncated?/rounded) as 0, 0, 1, 1, 2, ... The easy solution would be to specify 1 (or more) decimal places. However, the easy solution has other effects. My stacked bar chart was very dense with only enough room to show a single digit for the Values. This became unreadable when the value 1 (one) was replaced by 1.2 and 2 by 2.3. So I unchecked display Values. (Why couldn't the values display staggered like labels do so they they don't overlap?)
So even though, I had intended to display "values," I had to give that up when I showed additional decimals in the labels.

Another one to change might be the Gantt chart timescale
File -> Page Setup -> Options -> timecale start and Timescale finish
Best thing to do is cut out all the columns you dont need and print on A3 if you can
Apply a filter if you're seeing more activities than you need, remove any bar labels if there's more info on the Gantt than you need
Does take a bit of fiddling sometimes - but once you're done, don't forget to save the layout !

How to creat a grouped stacked bar chart

I am trying to create a grouped stacked bar chart.
For 'on change of ' i have -> 1) update_month
2) update_source ( i have 2 values for this field -> website and ivr)
And for 'show value' field i am trying to use 1) sum of valid_count
2) sum of invalid_count
-> I need two stacked bars for each month, each stacked bar belongs to either website or ivr and is made of valid and invalid counts for that particular update source.
when i tried to use the fields as i mentioned above, i got an error saying
'The data you have selected doesnt fit the chart type' and explanation is as follows 'This chart type requires 2 on change of fields and i show value field OR 1 on change of field and many show value fields'.
I have selected a stacked bar chart.
Does any one know how to do this?

How to add multiple values in bar chart.

I have three fields.
1) Buyer Name:
2) Number of PR
3) Number of PO
I want to display 2 and 3 in values corresponding to 1 (Buyer name) by using bar chart. I can display one filed either number of PR or PO but cant both in one chart.

There is a solution to this somewhere on this forum. If I understand it correctly you can select the chart, right click, select field templates. Select the axis field tab. Enable the label check box. Select desired radio button from label rotation.
Counts should appear above the bars.

I have purchased Crystal Xcelsius Workgroup 4.5. I have created a dashboard in which I have used webservices call to get data from database.
One of the three charts of my dashboard is a stacked bar chart. Now my problem is, when the webservice gets data and refresh the chart, the x-axis of it becomes squeezed and the main chart becomes very small. It becomes so in runtime. However in design mode i didnt notice such behavior.
But same flash file s showing fine when I am using it somewhere else.
I am facing big trouble, as I tried to search in web about this problem, but couldnt find such case.

How to set #HOST# variable used in Chart template using Multiple Domains?

I have a extended question to How can I set #HOST# variable referenced in the Chart template?
In addition to the Proxy layer, we are looking to use multiple sub-domain names into the same Oracle APEX instance (through the one DAD) each mapped to a different application id. Therefore I don't think the solution in the link will work for me - as this embeds a single domain name in the DADS.CONF.
Two questions:
- Is it possible to set the "HTTP_HOST" in "dads.conf" using an existing HTTP Header value? - my proxy can pass on the original domain as "HTTP_X_FORWARDED_HOST". So if it was possible to use (say: using whatever form/syntax of parameterisation is available) ?

changing the CGI environment variables HTTP_HOST, REQUEST_PROTOCOL and SERVER_PORT is the correct way how to resolve this, because it appears that your hiding the web server where you have installed mod_plsql or EPG by a different outside facing web server (also called reverse proxy). That's why APEX gets the host name, protocol and port of the internal web server, but should actually get the values of your reverse proxy web server. Can can fix that by changing the following CGI environment variables.
HTTP_HOST should just contain the domain name (no protocol or port). For example: www.oracle.com
REQUEST_PROTOCOL should contain http or https
SERVER_PORT should be the port for https
I don't want to add a new cgi variable called HOST because HOST sounds so generic and it might interfere with something else running in our environment. Or, I don't want to change the plsql cgi environment variable (such as HTTP_HOST) because many developers may use owa_util.get_cgi_env('HTTP_HOST') to get the current server. If the SERVER_PORT is part of the #HOST# then what could I change it to if it needs to be null. If you leave it blank, then the default SERVER_PORT comes from the CGI variables.The value of HTTP_HOST is wrong anyway and points to your internal web server, but I assume your developers actually want to get the host name of your external web server if they use it to generate absolute URLs. That's why I wouldn't bother and set it to the correct host name.

How to set line thickness in line chart?

There's really no upper bound on how many series might be displayed on my graph, but say I'm graphing 52 series.
Is there a way to set the thickness of the lines without generating a graph of 52 things and settting the thicknesses individually?
What I'm doing now: preview the report with parameter that will make for a lot of series. Then click each series, set the width, then when done tell it to apply the customization to all graphs. Is there a speedier way?

Sorry for re-surrecting this old thread, I could not find anything mroe recent on this topic. If I have 4 data series, I can easily change the line and marker format for each series in the Design window. My chart however has 6 series. How do I format the line and markers of the 5th and 6th series? It appears that any changes that I make in the Preview window, is not carried over to the Design window, and regardless of how many data series there are, the standard 4 are all that is displayed in the Design window. (I am also using Crystal XI)

How to set my own Ranges in Charts

Hi-
I've just started playing with making charts in Numbers.
When I select some cells and then ask Numbers to produce a chart it does so and sets it's own values for the Y-Axis.
How can I set MY OWN values for the upper and lower limits (ie. 0 at the bottom, and, say, 1000 at the top, and not the 200 at the bottom and 800 at the top that it is has put in automatically.)

Hi Andrew,
Here is a Scatter Plot. Data must be in Body Cells, not Header Columns or Header Rows.
Click on the graph and Format Panel > Axis > Value (Y)
Set Max and Min to what you want. You can also change the number of steps if you don't like the default.
The procedure is slightly different for a Category Chart (all the other types except Bubble Chart).
Good ideas in New From Template Chooser > Charting Basics.

I am doing a get Skin from Menu bar, but it returns null. Is there a way to set the skin for menu bar. I tried other alternatives like setting new com.sun .java fx.sce ne .control.skin.Menu BarSkin() but it doesn't work.

The skin isn't set on the control until the next pulse after the control has been added to the scene-graph. In other words, you cannot do
MenuBar menuBar = new MenuBar();
Skin skin = menuBar.getSkin();because the MenuBar has not yet been added to the scene-graph. Nor can you do
MenuBar menuBar = new MenuBar();
((Group)scene.getRoot()).getChildren().add(menuBar);
Skin skin = menuBar.getSkin();because the skin isn't set until the next pulse. There are many ways you can get the skin. The easiest is to just set the skin yourself:
MenuBar menuBar = new MenuBar();
menuBar.setSkin(new com.sun.javafx.scene.control.skin.MenuBarSkin(menuBar));Or you can add a listener to the skinProperty of the Control and grab it when it is set.
