I find these questions a bit weird though as they have nothing really to do with BI and everything to do in dealing with the culture, internal structures and operational procedures of a corporate. A simple issue like fully understanding HR procedures and policies can spell the difference between employing an excellent BI candidate, or loosing him/her to the competition. Or not following Procurement's red tape trail can delay purchasing of critical software or hardware by months.
People and management skills are by far more critical in such a position than claiming years and years of BI experience.

  • How to create a Business Parnter in SAP WFM 3.1 without SAP Actions(PA40) ?

    Hi,
I want to create Business Partner in SAP WFM. (Without SAP Personnel Actions).
Are there any Function Modules available to create a BP in SAP WFM?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Krishna

    Hi,
My requirement is to create BP's in WFM once employees are created in HCM through converstion process. Hence no personnel actions will be triggered.
    I found the solution.
    1. When employees are created in HCM through any process, a relationship CP with emloyee will be created in HRP1001.
    2. Then execute RE_HR_SYNC_PERSON, and select all employees from step 1.
    3. Then Syncronize the employees, and by doing this will create BP's in SAP - WFM.
    4. Once the BP's are created and will be visible under New Employees tab in WFM.
    Regards,
    Krishna

  • How to create new business events in SAP?

Hello my name is Karen I am new in the HR department.
Althought I work in HR Im also the training coordinator. My organitation is a new company and we are just implementing SAP.
During the whole 2013  none of the courses given were upload to SAP. I need to upload all of them. I have not use SAP. I have a cupple of question.
What transactions to use in order to upload the courses we have offered and the participants?
Is there a way we can upload massively?

    Hi
you can crete Transaction code in Transaction SE93.
    To create a transaction code:
Enter a transaction code (up to 20 characters).
    Choose Create.
A dialog box appears. Enter a short text and choose the transaction type.
The transaction type can be as follows:
    Dialog Transactions
    Report Transactions
    Object-Oriented Transactions
    Variant Transactions
    Parameter Transactions
In a report transaction, you use a transaction code to start an executable program (type 1). An executable program usually has three steps - data entry (selection screen), data processing (often using a logical database ), and data output (list).
To create a report transaction, use the Transaction Maintenance transaction (SE93). Once you have entered a transaction code and short description, choose transaction type Program and selection screen (report transaction).
When you define a report transaction, you can specify the selection screen and variant with which you want it to start.
You can also protect the report transaction against unauthorized use. To do this, enter the name of an authorization object in the corresponding field.
    Dialog Transactions
In a dialog transaction, the flow of the program is determined by a sequence of screens. The screens that are called within a transaction should belong to a single ABAP program, usually a module pool (type M program).
To create a dialog transaction, use the Transaction Maintenance transaction (SE93). Once you have entered a transaction code and short description, choose transaction type Program and screen (dialog transaction).
You can create transaction codes for Custom query;s created using SQVI also
    Thanks & Regards

  • Create a business model when we have only one source table

    Hi,
How to create a business model when we have only one source table in Physical layer
    Regards
    Swathi

This is very much possible and feasible. Its called as Single Table model. Good example is SA System Subject Area where we just have a single physical source. No need to create Alias in Physical. Simply use the same table twice in BMM with one Logical Table as Dummy Fact..Like say Count of Users (aggregated). Then apply normal Complex join in BMM and present in presentation layer.

  • Exportable business model?

How can I export business models developed in Darwin and Express Objects to JavaBeans?

    See previous "reply".
Oracle Data Mining Suite can export Data mining models as Java, C
and C++ code. These models may be integrated into other
applications, or in the case of Java, embedded in an SQL clause.
The exported models do not include any explicit data
transformations that were performed by the data analyst prior to
model building, so you need to make sure that the data is
properly preprocessed prior to scoring using the model code.

  • EJB business model architecture + packaging

    Hello,
During a development of large Web applications (ERP for example), how to organize the business model (EJB) tier?
I thought of centralizing the business model of the entire application within only one (ejb) module whose each Web module would depend there. What do you think ?
Then, how to package it ? All the modules (Web and business) in the same ear? It would be simplest but not the ideal solution. Because for each update I have to redeploy the entire application.
    Thank you.

    Thanks for your help mr_jaber.
I would like just to know what is the best way to package and deploy large application to the application server.
Is better to use a single ejb-jar module who contain all buisness logic or split the buisness tier in multiple ejb-jar ?
I know there is the admin_client.jar utility who allows incremental or partial redeployment of EJB modules within an application running in an OC4J instance. This is fine..
So.. I have to put all my modules in a ear archive or is better to deploy Web and EJB modules in standalone mode ?

  • How to setup SSL for Business Objects

    Dear colleagues,
can you help with the following issue: we want to setup SSL for BO and have dedicted information for the implementation of certificates and know that sapcryptolib needs to be used. But there is no information provided how to inform BO about the location of the sapcryptolib. Can anybody provide a hint for this? Many thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
          Detlef Kreiss (HP Outsourcing services)

    Detlef,
The SAP Crypto library is not required if you are simply trying to secure the webserver using SSL.
Securing IIS (.NET infoview, or IIS fronting a Java application server) is pretty simple as you would follow the same steps to SSL secure it as you would any IIS server (there is an add certificate button in the properties of IIS).
If you are using a Java Application server solely and want to SSL secure that, there is an SAP note to describe the steps required to add an SSL certificate to the (Tomcat) Java keystore.

  • How to setup the complex ownership relationship in SAP BPC

    Hi Buddies,
I am new to SAP BPC. For legal consolidation, I am confused how to setup the ownership in BPC. The senario is following:
P is the parent company, S1 and S2 are subsidiaries.
        1) P owned S1 80%, ownded S2 90%, meanwhile S1 owned P 20%
            How to setup this?
        2) P owned S1 80%, owned S2 70%, and S1 owned S2 10%.
            How to setup this?
For above 2 senarioes, how to calculate the Minority Interest? ( Using different consolidation rules?)
And if there are subgroup, how to see the subgroup result?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Will,
Thanks for reply... Actually, I've tried that before(putting comma after the flag "all," presuming the 71st step shows that I should have 3 members in the memberset under the ICDatasrc dimension. But it also did not work.
Nope, step 71 did not tell us to use piping and consequently expanding the col key range.
    Thanks...
