How to setup resources in a WS project to be loaded from classpath?

When I came in here to write this note, I saw the recent note titled "Placement of resources in WS project and runtime access", which is very similar to what I needed to know, but it isn't quite the same thing.
I'm trying to put together a WebLogic WS project where the operations call out to a bean in a Spring context. I think I would use something like "ContextSingletonBeanFactoryLocator.getInstance("classpath*:applicationContext.xml")" in the operation.
What I'm a little confused about is where I would put the Spring context file in my application. In a "plain" webapp, I would just put it into WEB-INF/classes, but that seems like a "protected" directory in Workshop.
What is the best way to set this up?

Ok, I guess I should have been clearer. When I said that "WEB-INF/classes" appears to be a "protected" directory in Workshop, I meant that I can't even see that directory when viewing the project in Workshop. The only way I know it's there (besides knowing it should be there) is when I tried to create that directory in the project, and seeing in the file browser that it's already there.

Yes, in Terminal you type a single line which is made from the path to the adt application, some parameters, and paths to other documents. Here's the full list of things:

That "-C" line is clever, it does a directory change to the folder you give it, so after the -C /location/to/swf part it will then look in that same folder for other documents, and for where to build the IPA file.

so the next missing information is what the event is that you expect to fire. If the cookie value is displayed in a list then John is correct and you populate the input field behind the scenes in which case e.g. no ValueChange listener fires or autoSubmit action is issued as you don't update the data through the UI component

How can I determine what LLB a VI is being loaded from?

I've been frustrated switching between versions when an application opens and suddenly can not find a VI which is being loaded from a LLB. How can I determine what LLB (or other type of library) a VI is being loaded from ?
Is there a list of all libraries along with what VIs are included in them somewhere?

In the context help, enable "Show Optional Terminals and Full Path ", then just hover over your VI, either on the diagram on in the hierarchy view.

ADF: How to setup of a Batch Client project?

I want to write a simple ADF application which uses no GUI. In the "New Gallery" wizard is no batch/commandline client type available. Is that kind of client not supported? Unusual for ADF applications?
I selected a JClient Empty Form from the "New Gallery" which generated a DataBinding.cpx and some other files in my project. I created a new Java class (including a main() method) and copied some ADF startup code into the main method:

ApplicationModule am = Configuration.
createRootApplicationModule(amClassname, configName);
Starting the application, I got an error:
oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file /batchclient/model/common/bc4j.xcfg in the classpath
In the project editor, I appended the path to my model project classes to the classpath of my client project and the application runs fine. With JDev9i, a batch client was simpler to develop.
Do I missed some documentation/samples which explains the development of batch clients or is there a simpler way to generate the batch client (project)?

Basically the program is used to create/delete/modify entries in a table and mantain the Address information.
The buttons to show the pop-up where the information is maintained are in the ALV button bar and I can deal with them in my user command.
I'm not looking for an alternative (for example a program to upload an excel and so one); I would like to know if it is possible to define something to identify which button has been pressed in a Batch Input.
You will get the same issue trying to catch in a Batch Input actions on SE16N.

This is why I no longer order books from iPhoto. I use Picaboo and Blurb. It is ridiculous that you can't create a number of projects and place them in a cart for checkout to save on shipping. I thought Apple was supposed to be leading the pack but in this instance they are sorely lagging behind. How difficult would it be for them to create a cart, upload your projects and purchase them at once. Do they really need to stick it to us for more shipping costs?

You have a modem/router or gateway type of device here.
It is the Arris that is acting as the main router for your network......that is why the AirPort and Time Capsule need to be in Bridge Mode.
You need to set up port forwarding on the Arris gateway since it is the router for your network.
Contact Arris support for details on how to configure port forwarding on the gateway.
Once you have port forwarding setup on the Arris gateway, the AirPort and Time Capsule will pass those settings through to connected devices since they are configured in Bridge Mode.

How to Compile and run a GUI project made in Netbeans from shell

hi all .....
I develpoed a java project using Netbeans .The project has GUI also (JFrame and various layout ) . The project is building and running fine through netbeans .But when I tried to compile the source files (*.java files) from shell , I failed .
The project has two files MainFrame.java (JFrame file and this file has the public static void main method ) and helloworld.java (simple java class file). But the "src" folder created by netbeans (at project location) contains one more file named "MainFrame.form" . Moreover netbeans was using two jar files (AbsoluteLayout.jar and Swing-layout-1.0.jar .
I tried to compile the two .java files . helloworld.java compiled successfully but the MainFrame.java didnt. I used the command :
linux:~/netbeans projects/Network tool/src/mytool # javac -classpath ".;AbsoluteLayout.jar;Swing-layout-1.0.jar;" MainFrame.java
The 14 errors were encountered. MOst of them were like :
MainFrame.java:138: package org.jdesktop.layout does not exist
org.jdesktop.layout.GroupLayout jPanel1Layout = new org.jdesktop.layout.GroupLayout(jPanel1);

1. The .form file was used by Netbean's GUI builder to create the .java and is not needed for compilation.
2..../src # javac -classpath "..." mytool/*.java
I guess the package mytool was not coped with.
Alternatively it is worth to use the ant build tool also used by Netbeans.
Then you can make a jar from the class files, indicate in the manifest.mf file:
1. the main class
2. the library jars

Thanks for my response, but my situation is that I develop my
apps on one machine and run the back end services on that same
machine in a testing environment. So when testing I want to connect
to localhost for debugging. But when deployed on the real server
the Flex app. should connect to servername, the real hostname of
the server it's deployed at. I can't yet figure out how to have
Flex determine the name of the host from which it was
launched.

We are having R/3 and now we are planning to install BW. Now a few questions are coming to us like...
1. In what cases we need a test system? Can we bypass test system and have development and productive system only?
2. How to setup a test system? Should we reload data from R/3 test system or can it be sourced from BW Productive system (in order to get more historical data)?
3. Has anybody setup a test system and loaded data from BW Productive system before?

It is depends on client, for eg:say if client follows Sixsigma processes, then give much importance on Quality. So in this scenario it becomes much clear to have Quality box, If for other clients who don't have much Quality processes in place. you can take up the Quality (test) in Development box itself.
And it also depends on data you want have test on. For some clients they move much of their historical data for testing purpose..
Also some clients mainatain all 3 boxes(Dev,QA & Prod.)in sink..so that it would be easy for any changes or whatsoever.

I'm trying to setup a cluster of 3 servers on WebLogic 9.2 on one physical computer.
I managed to startup 3 servers from cmd in windows like this:

Now I can open each of the 3 servers directly from my browser:

My questions are:
How to setup servers so that I can start them automatically from administration console?
How to configure address in administration console through which I will open my application in a browser?
And after that, how to configure that when server on which I work breaks, it automatically restarts application in another server (no need for failover because BI Publisher does not support session replication, I think)?
Do I need machine and virtual host, and what is their purpose? Node manager? Can somebody explain those things? What i did wrong?

You have some reading to do to increase your familiarity with cluster / managed servers.

Apache + Weblogic plugin for instance, but I don't think you'll be keeping all 3 instances on the same physical machine as your production design.

You should have your managed instances on separate physical machines since your current configuration is vulnerable to a single machine failure which would shutdown all 3 instances.

Footage changes once color project is loaded from disk

Hi all,
I have a big problem in Color 1.0.4.
I send a 20 minute edit from FCP to Color. All is fine. The edit is the first part of a marriage service. A shoot taken with two camera.
I did originally put the sequence together using Multi-Cam, but then I replaced all the clips with the originals as I had problems when I first went into color with this.
The problem is that one of the angles appears to have lost the information as to where the INOUT points are...This happens once the color project has been loaded from disk. (ALL is fine until I shut Color and reload the project). The sections in the sequence where this camera is used always plays the source file for that camera from the beginning. (A shot from outside the church!) This is causing me all sorts of problems and I cannot seem to get past this. I need to save the work and then re-open in FCP to see what the grade looks like as I don't have an external monitor.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
The thumbnails show the correct footage from the camera. Adding a section to the render queue results in a render of 1 frame. Even though the IN and OUT points on the Color timeline show roughly 20 seconds, the render view shows an in and out point one frame apart...

What is/are your sequence codec/settings?
I know I get this sort of behavior on my external monitor if I've got a Kona export settings mismatch, but not on the timeline.
When you observe the application running back to "first frame" on park, but finds the correct images on play, sort of infers that there is a broken reference somewhere in how FCP is recalling the media.
Bad container? frame rate mismatch?
But before you re-edit, can you save the effort to this point by "Baking out" a movie of the sequence?
It would be at least interesting to know if QT finds the right media at your edit points. At that point, a fairly straightforward movie could be razored and sent to COLOR...
