How to show content of a list which resides in other site collection in Office 365?

Hi All,
Can anyone help on How to show content of a list which resides in other site collection in Office 365 . Using Rest and Soap services this is not possible as we have limitations in office 365.So if anyone have any idea please let me know.
Note : We are not allowed to use CSOM for this requirement.

I have a requirement to create a list of all available Site collections in the given O365 tenancy. The purpose of this is to know what are the new site collections created and asisgn a owner for each site collection etc.

I am also facing same issue for acessing all site collections in Tenant using CSOM. Please help me for that. I have added TokenHelper class and other classes in my project but still am facing problem because of some methods used in Tokenhelper Class.

Did you try and sync it with an address book on your computer that contained no entries at all? If so, then they are gone.
IF you backed up the phone before trying to do this, you may be able to recover some of the information using 3rd party software to try and extract it from the backup. I have no personal experience with any of these programs, so I'll leave specific recommendations to others who do.

Mismatch between the Content Database size and the total of each site collection' storage used.

Environment: SharePoint 2010 with SP2.
Issue: One of the Content databases size in our farm shows 200 GB as used. There are 25 site collections in the DB and we counted
the total storage used of all site collections in that Content DB and is not more than 40 GB. (used "enumsites" command and counted the each sitecollections storage used).
What actions/troubleshooting were done?
Ran one script which will find the actual size of site collection and how much space used in the disk. But didn’t find major difference in the report.
Checked “Deleted from end user recycle bin “in all the site collections and no major storage is noticed.
Planning to Detach the problematic Content DB and attach ,will check whether any major effect is there
Why the Content DB shows 200 GB as used when the total storage used of all site collections is just 40 GB.
Appreciate suggestions from any one.

As there is only 20 MB of unallocated space for the above said DB, SQL DB team informed that they cannot perform the DB shrink at this moment.
So we are thinking to Offload all the site collections to other new DB and then will Drop the problematic database. In this way we can overcome the
issue.

No, there is no issue with the mismatched sizes. We are not on short on disk space. We just worried why it occupies that much size(200 GB) when
the total storage used of all site collections in that DB is 40 GB.

Hi Sagar,
We cannot set list view threshold value at sitecollection/subsite level. It can only be set at web application level.
However we can bypass the 5000 limit using PowerShell command by setting “Enable Throttling”= false for particular list.

Show content in a list based on previligies???????

Here is my scenario. I have a page that a Super User uses to add content of item type and set the access previligies for users who will ba able to see this. I am developing a Java Portlet that will have a drop down list populated with the links to above added content. The list populates based on the user previligies and only shows items that a user has access. Selecting any item from the list will display the content in a new window. Can someone guide me how can I achieve this, tables to look etc. Any help is appreciated.

You can modify the properties of your System Name lookup column so that the System Manager and System DVP columns are automatically pulled in. They can then be displayed in views of the Bug list as if they were columns on the Bug list. To do
this, go to List Settings, then click the name of your lookup column; in the Additional Column Settings area it will say "Add a column to show each of these additional fields" followed by a series of checkboxes for different columns you can choose to duplicate.
I don't believe that you can show people-picker columns from a lookup connection, but you can get around this by adding simple single line of text field to the System list, then creating a SharePoint Designer workflow on your System list that copies the
System Manager name to the new field whenever an item is added or updated. The new field can be brought in through the lookup column without any problems.
To update the Assigned Date, Rejected On, and Rejected By fields, the simplest option would be a SharePoint Designer workflow that triggers when an item is added or updated on the bug list. You'll want to create a couple columns to keep track of what
the Status and Assigned To fields were set to (you could call them PreviousStatus and PreviousAssignedTo). Then in the workflow you'll be able to compare the current value to the previous value and execute whatever logic you want.
Since you don't want users updating these new columns you'll be creating, you can hide them from the list forms. To do this, first enable content types on the list (List Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Allow management of content types). Then
from the list settings page, select your content type (Item), then click the name of the column you want to hide, then choose "Hidden" in the Column Settings section.

How to show content from microsoft word and pdf on a page

Hi,
I have a microsoft word file stored in content repository and I want to show it in web page. When I drag and drop it using content presenter it shows file as a link with some extra details like created by, last modified by etc. I want content to appear in UI page itself. Content of document should get converted to html at runtime and then appear in UI. Is it possible?

I see you have as similar requirement you posted in the thread here :

InBound Refinery (IBR) would be the easiest way to accomplish this though.
Once you have IBR installed and configured (you need to pick what formats need to be converted in the refinery, and in your case, choose MS Office formats),
You can use the document viewer taskflow to render PDF versions of your Word/Excel or PDF documents on a webcenter page. There is little to no setup required for this, beyond configuring IBR (but configuring IBR is fairly involved) and selecting what MIME types you want IBR to process.
Another thing to watch out for if you are using Spaces is, make sure you set the context root for UCM properly though EnterpriseManger.
Dynamic Converter can also be used to get similar results. You mention that you are using an Iframe, that means the client is making a request to UCM directly, and to avoid re-authenticating there, you should have SSO enabled. With Dynamic converter, you can use a URL of the form :
http:// +<host>:<port>+ / +<context_root>+ /idcplg?IdcService=GET_DYNAMIC_CONVERSION&dDocName= +<docID>+ &RevisionSelectionMethod=LatestReleased
To get an HTML rendition of that document.

How To Add scrollbar in Spark list which will work on mouse movement ?

I want to add scrollbar in Spark list which will work on mouse movement, i.e instead scrolling down it will sense mouse position and scroll automatically. I could not find a way to handle this with horizontalLayout.
I tried hovering on list and setting ensureIndexIsVisible(index) but hovering element index is not present in the Spark List.
Any idea on this will be highly appreciated.

Powershell to add/delete content type to particular library alone in a site collection

I am trying to add and delete content type from a particular picture library (site collection) using powershell.
I have tried the below, but it is not working.
Below scenarios are not working:
1) If the content type to be added is there in library, then the loop is still moving to "No content type exists".
2) Content type is not getting deleted from library
3) Set the newly added content type as default content type.

Since the web is in PHP i found some ideas that use CURL to get the cookie but i['m wondering if there is another way to do that?
All API show cases and docs that i looked are so confusing that i can't even figure out if it is possible at all and how. It would be great to be able to reset passwords through my system and also to create new users. So that i have all centralized in one

SPD 2013 Workflow - Create list item with people picker in other site collection

Hi all,
I read a lot of blogs and forum posts the last couple of days, but I seem to be stuck as to why my workflow is not working as expected - thus, I thought I would ask the experts :-)
Setup:
2 lists in 2 different site collections

SharePoint 2013 on Prem
I try to create a SPD 2013 workflow that creates a new item in list "requests" once a certain trigger is set in list "tickets". One of the fields I need to copy is the requestor = People picker field.
I did a web service call with a REST call to create a list item. All works well as long as I just stick to Title and other text fields, but filling in the "Requestor" fails with "Bad request".
I learned I need to use the "RequestorID" field and in a blog I read I need to put in the user id as Int32. So I set the parameters in the dictionary to integer. Still I get "bad request".
Another issue: as I have lists from 2 site collections, the user id differs for the same user.
/servicedesk: ID = 9
/projects: ID = 22
Additionally, the possibility exists that the user I try to set is not already existent in the /projects user information list.
How can I deal with that?
