How to solve this case sensitive problem for the parameters in function?

Hi,
   I have a function, which should receive one parameter comes from textbox in BSP form. User will input upper case or lower case characters together in this textbox. But when I debug function, I found after function recevice the value from BSP form, the string value was converted into upper case automatically.
   I don't want system convert string to upper or lower case. I want keep the original value that user inputted.
   So is it possible to do this?

   Yes, I use the inputfield. The problem is if I use the parameter which contain user's input in the event handler of BSP, the value is equal to the user's input. But if the parameter was transfered into function, the value was converted to uppercase.
   But I want to keep the original value.

If objective is to just connect as sysdba then you can simply check your SQLNET.ORA file under ORACLE_HOME\NETWORK\ADMIN and make an entry like
SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NTS)
C:\Documents and Settings\HP>set oracle_sid=orcl
C:\Documents and Settings\HP>sqlplus "/ as sysdba"
Pls paste contents of your TNSNAMES.ORA and LISTENER.ORA files here.

I am logged in as a 'guest' on a computer that is used by others. I would like to totally hide my browsing history by 'resetting safari' but wonder if this will cause problems for the other users....Or does the resetting just apply to the guest?

anything, including resetting, that you do as guest should not affect other users who log into their own accounts. Just logging out of guest should remove the obvious history/cookies etc although of course it's possible for an admin of that computer to keep track of some info.

Case Sensitive Problem in the query

This is the navigational attribute of 0activity infoobject.
The user wants to have the functionality of
"The text field should be non-case sensitive so when it is used in a query to search the name can be typed in whichever case a person wants"
How to do this? can any one suggest?

I dont have a solution to convert the value automatic in the selection variables. but as an alternate solution: When you load data for zperson, use formula or routine to translate to upper case. Then the user can always use uppercase in the selection.

I have to calculate the Production Line Hours, based on the following calculation.
Now i have to input the value in the INFOOBJECT LINEHOUR1 based on the following calculation.
400 / 3500 = 0.114 (ALLOWED_TIME of every line item has to be divided with TOTAL ALLOWED_TIME)
500 / 3500 = 0.142
100 / 3500 = 0.028
1100 / 3500 = 0.314
.........so on
The workcenter is different is two blocks of example data, and hence to be calculated differently.
Now how to achive this,

I want to make you more clear about the problem.
We are calculating based on the following combinations.
PLANT--RUNDATE-WORKCENTER-SHIFT-----PRODUCTTYPE
We have three different Plants.
Rundate is assume as the Calday.
We have 18 Workcenters.
Each Workcenter can have 3 shifts maximum.
And in every sift there would be 3 to 4 product types produced.
So what i mean to let you know is, the calculation is not based on WORKCENTER, where as it is based on all the five(5)
characteristics combination.
The total allowed time will be calculated based on PLANT......RUNDATE......WORKCENTER....SHIFT.
We normally calculate the linehour with the below formula...
(ALLOWED TIME/ TOTAL ALLOWED TIME) * (SHIFTTIME - DOWN TIME - BREAK TIME).
So i have all the information in the line item level except the TOTAL ALLOWED TIME.
Now i want to insert a new column in the CUBE and wanted to have the TOTAL ALLOWED TIME in every line item,
might not seem to be a good idea, but just let me know how to do it.

How to solve a PKGBUILD dependency issue for the MinGW-w64 toolchain?

Hi,
I had the ambitious plan of creating PKGBUILDs to provide a fully functional and full-featured MinGW-w64 toolchain in Arch (starting with the AUR). For those of you not aware of MinGW-w64; it's a project that provides the more complete alternative for MinGW.org: they support a much larger set of the Win32 API and provide 64-bit support. In short: they allow you to use GCC for Windows 32 and 64-bit.

They work (roughly, for me, I'm working out the problems as people report them), but only if you build and install them manually.
I would like to ask the help of the experts that reside here to resolve the issue that handy tools like yaourt and other AUR utilities cannot build/install these packages automagically, so that people are more easily persuaded to use my packages. The dependencies here are what functionally needs to be set, not per se what the current PKGBUILDs specify, due to numerous experiments and trial and error...)
The build and install order needs to be strictly followed:
1. build+install mingw-w64-headers-base (no makedepends)
2. build+install mingw-w64-binutils (no makedepends)
3. build+install mingw-w64-gcc-base (makedepends and depends: mingw-w64-binutils)
4. build+install mingw-w64-crt (makedepends and depends: mingw-w64-gcc-base and mingw-w64-binutils)
5. build mingw-w64-winpthreads (makedepends: mingw-w64-headers-base, mingw-w64-gcc-base and mingw-w64-binutils, conflicts mingw-w64-headers-base)
6. build mingw-w64-headers (no makedepends, conflicts mingw-w64-headers-base)
7. install mingw-w64-headers (replaces mingw-w64-headers-base)
8. install mingw-w64-winpthreads
9. build+install mingw-w64-gcc (replaces mingw-w64-gcc-base)
I tried to enforce this as much as possible in the PLGBUILDs, but am unsure if everything is as it should be...
The resulting binary packages that non-AUR-users
(once mingw-w64 is in a binary repo) should install:
- mingw-w64-headers
- mingw-w64-crt
- mingw-w64-winpthreads
- mingw-w64-binutils
- mingw-w64-gcc
The issue is that winpthreads overwrites two dummy headers that have to be included in mingw-w64-headers-base, so I provide a mingw-w64-headers package omitting these two files, but unusable without mingw-w64-winpthreads. So winpthreads needs to be built when mingw-w64-headers-base is installed, and mingw-w64-headers cannot be installed before winpthreads is installed, due to these two headers (per architecture) being supplied by winpthreads in a complete form.
I will try to tune the dependencies tonight, but any help or insight into the automation process is highly appreciated!

Interesting problem.
While i don't use any aur helper, i think you can simplify your approach a bit.
Here's how i would do it (changes in red) :
1. build+install mingw-w64-headers-base (no makedepends)
this package DOES NOT include the dummy headers
1a. build + install mingw-w64-headers-extra-dummy (makedepends : mingw-w64-headers-base)
this package will include ONLY the dummy headers
2. build+install mingw-w64-binutils (no makedepends)
3. build+install mingw-w64-gcc-base (makedepends and depends: mingw-w64-binutils)
4. build+install mingw-w64-crt (makedepends and depends: mingw-w64-gcc-base and mingw-w64-binutils)
5. build mingw-w64-winpthreads
makedepends:
mingw-w64-headers-base, mingw-w64-gcc-base and mingw-w64-binutils, mingw-w64-headers-extra-dummy
conflicts with mingw-w64-headers-extra-dummy
provides mingw-w64-headers-extra
6. skipped
7. skipped
8. install mingw-w64-winpthreads
9. build+install mingw-w64-gcc (replaces mingw-w64-gcc-base)
makedepends : mingw-w64-headers-base, mingw-w64-headers-extra

No sound will come out of the right headphone, but they work on my other devices..is this a common problem for the classic?

Two headphones are now in limbo due to a strange curse my iPod Classic 160Gb seems to hae. Affter a couple of weeks, sound will cease to emit form the right headphone unless i jiggle the plugs cable around. Funny thing is, my headphones work fine on other devices..Is this a common problem?

How to solve this "amnesia" protect problem

I have a two nodes one quorum cluster environment. I just see this problem:
I shutdown nodeA and all all othe resource groups switch to nodeB, it works fine
and I believe quorum device vote belongs to nodeB.
Then I shutdown nodeB and power on the nodeA, nodeA cannot boot as cluster,
there's messages like:
NOTICE: clcomm: Path NodeB:e1000g0 - NodeA:e1000g0 errors during initiation
WARNING: Path NodeB:e1000g0 - NodeA:e1000g0 initiation encountered errors, errno = 62. Remote node may be down or unreachable through this path.
NOTICE: CMM: Cluster doesn't have operational quorum yet; waiting for quorum.
I know this is because the quorum vote is nodeB to prevent amnesia condition.
But I still confused for this: if the problem occurs, nodeB is broken and cannot
boot anyway,what people can do is just hack the CCR?Is there any solution ,for
example, nodeA can boot as cluster master and after nodeB come up ,the DR can
update the older nodeB CCR ?is there any option for this?

What happened and how to solve this camera roll problem?

I don't know what happened to my ipad but the camera roll went crazy. The pictures in my camera roll appear from the first picture down to the latest which is weird because it should be from the latest up to the first picture I've taken instead.

Is this a new problem for the zen mic

I havent found anything about this on the forum but I have to agree that I didnt search a lot , but since a couple of days, I got a new problem on my micro, it started skipping part into some songs then would go back and then skip some parts, it's very annoying and i'm quite pissed because my player is only month old, I know it's not my mp3 because they used to play very well on the player and I dont have any problems on my computers... what should I do? by the way, im not shaking the player when it does the skippingMessage Edited by vgtvidz on 02-06-2005 05:05 PM

Sounds like something went south in the OS or actual mp3 decoder in the player. I might try a Clean Up in Resuce mode then maybe a Reload OS. You can get into rescue mode by turning off the player and taking out the battery. Push the power switch in the on position and keep it held over while you re-insert the battery. It should boot into Rescue mode. Try a Clean Up. It should display a status % complete and only take a few moments. Try the songs again and see if there's the same problem.
If that doesn't work download firmware v.0.03 and select Reload Firmware via USB.
If either of these things don't work and the source files are clean it might be a bigger problem that might require a replacement.
