No sound will come out of the right headphone, but they work on my other devices..is this a common problem for the classic?

Two headphones are now in limbo due to a strange curse my iPod Classic 160Gb seems to hae. Affter a couple of weeks, sound will cease to emit form the right headphone unless i jiggle the plugs cable around. Funny thing is, my headphones work fine on other devices..Is this a common problem?

I tried to update my driver and it works fine now, I appreciate looking through this forum and finding answers for problems that I am having.

  • [SOLVED] Sound will come out of the speakers, but not the headphones.

So, the headphones won't play any sound (they work with my phone, not on my laptop) when plugged in.
When the headphones are plugged into the jack, the speakers mute, so I know that the laptop is registering that they got plugged in, but still no sound comes out.

  • I have the iPhone 5s. My ringtone works, my YouTube videos work. When I go to watch an Instagram video or play my music I have purchased on my phone, no sound will come out. The volume is up and is not on mute.

I'm experiencing problems with my sound. My ringtone works, my alarms work, my you tube videos play. But I can not get
My music that I have purchased to play nor will my Instagram videos make any sound but the video does play. My volume is up and the phone is not on mute..

    Hi shanny202.
Really strange problem you have there. I have a few questions though.
Please try again and try to make the phone as a new without restoringen with you iCloud-data or backup-data from iTunes. Maybe it is something wrong with the data (strange).
Anyway, i think you should call Apple Support or visit an Apple Store, don't forgot to make a Genius Bar reservation.

  • Sound no longer comes out of the speakers but will come out of the headphones on a m6-1035dx

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on an HP Pavilion m6-1035dx. Sound still comes out of the headphones but won't come out of the main speakers. I tried the audio troubleshoot buttom and it couldn't detect the problem. I also tried two headphones and neither work. While i was trying to test sounds on skype application I could hear the sounds on speakers for a very short time. Please Help!!

    Hi,
    Try the following.
First, temporarily uninstall Skype and when this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next, download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56501-57000/sp56953.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold  down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to enter the Start-up Menu.  Select the Bios option ( usually f10 ).  Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Let Windows fully load, then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again.
If it now works Ok, reinstall Skype
    Regards,

  • Why is my bluetooth speaker connected but sound only comes out of the computer speakers?

My bluetooth speaker (JBL Charge 2) is shown as "connected in the blu tooth section of the task bar. However, no sound comes out of the bluetooth speaker but rather the sounds still comes out of the computer. speakers. I have tried connecting, reconnecting, and restarting computer. The bluetooth speaker is also shown as connected in bluetooth preferences. What is wrong?

This may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues, and restore your device on a different known-good computer. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Usually this is caused by your antivirus or firewall blocking iTunes access to the Internet. It can also occur if the phone is jailbroken or if the computer you are using was ever used to jailbreak an iDevice.

  • Sound only comes out from the right ear/head phone. :((

My iTouch was working perfectly fine til it was connected to the school speaker for my dance. When I used it afterwards (with my headphones), the sound only came out from the right phone. I tried using my spare earphones and still no sound from the left. The headphones/earphones are working fine as I tested it with my laptop and mom's iPhone. So the real problem's with my iTouch!
What do I do? I tried syncing it to iTunes, even resetting it... but nothing! HELP. :((

If you connect your iPod with your computer, and if you can hear from both channels, that it is clearly something wrong with the earphone jack, there are few cases reported the dust in the earphone (metal parts?) causing the problem.

  • After updating my iPhone 5 to iOS 6.1.3 no sound will come out from my earphones , the weirded thing is I can function everything from earphones even voice command but no sound will come out I tried the earphones on another device they function great

It's a sad thing to happen but updating to iOS 6.1.3 made sound go away from my earphones tried several ones and none worked but the phone react to earphone commands and mic but won't bring out sounds and all earphones are working perfectly on other devices and I devices , please help me out with this issue

You say you have no sound in the earphones. Often that is caused by having the earphone plug not in completely. The "little noise" is there even when the earphone is not completely put in. But for sound/music it must be in completely.

  • IPad mini, the sound wont come out through the earphones the 2nd tym around,... other than the time consuming hard reset, any solution guys ...please?

i saw there is a new iOS version for the iPad mini, could this new version be a solution to the problem in question, i'm always on the move thats why i havent updated yet, but if the update solves the problem i will update asap.

Jimhdk I meant... Say I just did a hard reset the sound comes out of the earphones upon inserting them into the jack but should I remove them from the jack for any reason the sound will continue to come out of the main speakers after re-insertion of the earphones. The sound will continue to come out of the main speakers until I hard reset again.
Demo, so it's not necessary for me to update for my wifi is bug-less.

Try learning how to read a calendar.  Fall does not start until September 23rd.  At this point you're 3 days early... Fall also lasts until December 21st... so there's still a LOT of time left for iOS 5 to be released and still be EXACTLY in line with Apple's release schedule.
