    2.----->i dont know how many regions in my table....dynamically split into separate flat files ....
     pls help me.....thank u

    I think what you can do is this
    1. Do a query based on UNPIVOT to get the data as rows instead of columns
    For that you can use a query like this
    IF OBJECT_ID('temp') IS NOT NULL DROP TABLE temp
    CREATE TABLE temp
    Country varchar(100),
    Val decimal(25,5)
    DECLARE @CountryList varchar(3000),@SQL varchar(max)
    SELECT @CountryList = STUFF((SELECT ',[' + Column_Name + ']' FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS WHERE TABLE_NAME = '<SalesTableNameHere>' FOR XML PATH('')),1,1,'')
    SET @SQL= 'SELECT * FROM <SalesTableNameHere> t UNPIVOT (Val FOR Country IN (' + @CountryList + '))p'
    INSERT temp
    EXEC (@SQL)
    Once this is done you'll get data unpivoted to table
    Then you can use a execute sql task with query like above
    SELECT DISTINCT Country FROM Temp
    Use resultset option as full resultset and store the result to an object variable
    Then add a ForEach loop container with ADO enumerator and map to the object variable created above. Have variables inside loop to get inidvidual country values out.
    Inside loop place a data flow task. Use a variable to store source query , make EvaluateAsExpression true for it and set Expression as below
    "SELECT Val FROM Temp WHERE Country = " + @[User::LoopVariable]
    Where LoopVariable is variable created inside loop for getting iterated values
    Inside data flow task place a oledb source, choose option as  SQL command from variable and map to the above query variable.
    Link this to flat file destination create a flat file connection manager. Set a dynamic flat file connection using expression builder. Make it based on a variable and set variable to increment based on loop iteration
    The core logic looks similar to this

    dynamic file naming can be seen here

    Here is one way
    VAR csv VARCHAR2(100)EXEC :csv := 'abc,de,fg,hij,klmn,o,pq,rst,uvw,xyz';
    The query:
    WITH data AS( SELECT SUBSTR(csv, INSTR(csv,',',1,LEVEL)+1,                     INSTR(csv,',',1,LEVEL+1) - INSTR(csv,',',1,LEVEL)-1 ) token    FROM ( SELECT ','||:csv||',' csv FROM SYS.DUAL ) CONNECT BY LEVEL < LENGTH(:csv)-LENGTH(REPLACE(:csv,',',''))+2 )SELECT token  FROM data;See http://projectwownow.blogspot.com/2010/02/oracle-convert-csv-string-into-rows.html

  • How to Split Column Data Based on Identifier

    Hi,
    I am using oracle database.
    I am having data in this format in my column 1234~2345~3456~4567.
    I need a query to split the data in the column based on the identifier '~',so that i can pick out the value after the second occurrence of the identifier.
    May i know who can i achieve this.

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forum!
    Whenever you have a question, please post CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for a little sample data, and the results you want from that data. For example, given this data
    CREATE TABLE     table_x
    (       my_column     VARCHAR2 (40)
    INSERT INTO table_x (my_column) VALUES ('1234~2345~3456~4567');
    INSERT INTO table_x (my_column) VALUES ('just~2 parts');I think you're asking for these results
    PART_3     MY_COLUMN
    3456       1234~2345~3456~4567
               just~2 partsI assume that, if the string doesn't contain at least 2 '~'s, you want to return NULL. It's a good idea to explain what you want for special cases like that, and include examples in your sample data and results.
    Not all versions of Oracle are exactly the same. In fact, they are all different. If you want the best solution that works on your version, then say what version that is.
    The following query will work in Oracle 10.1 and higher:
    SELECT  REGEXP_SUBSTR ( my_column
                    , '[^~]+'
                    , 1
                    , 3     -- 3rd occurrence (after 2nd delimiter)
                    )     AS part_3
    ,     my_column          -- if wanted
    FROM    table_x

    Hi User,
    All 3 functions can be written in rpd too.In BMM layer, duplicate the date column ->Goto Column Mapping tab-> Expression builder ->Select Functions-> Calendar Date/Time Functions-> Select DayofMOnth function. Your logical column's formula will look like,
    DayofMonth(YourDateColumn)

  • How to split list of columns into 2 tables in SSIS 2012?

    Hi,
    I have 200 columns in Source. Now i want to split these columns, few into Destination A and few more columns into
    Destination B. Multi cast i tried to use, but it coping all the columns . Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
    Lets assume  i have columns  A,B,C,D,E..
    i want to move Columns A,B,D into destination A and
    columns A,C,D,E INTO Destination B. please help me to implement this logic?

    Hi vasu_479,
    Based on your description, you want to split columns in source table into two destination tables.
    After testing the scenario in my environment, we can use Multicast to achieve your requirement. Just as you said, the Multicast would return all columns. But we can use the method below to achieve the goal:
    If the destination tables are existing tables, we can just map column A, B and D as Input Columns to the corresponding Destination Columns in the Mapping tab for destination A. Then map column A, C, D and E in destination B.
    If the destination tables are created in the Destination component, we can modify the create table query to directly create A, B and D for destination table A, create A, C, D and E for destination table B. Then there columns would be automatically mapped
    in the Mappings pane.
    If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.
    Thanks,

  • Splitting Column Data in a Ticker View

    Hi All,
    How to split the column data into Rows rather in a Single Row in a Ticker View?
    I have created a Request with 3 columns viz., Emp ID, EName and Salary. In Ticker View, diplaying the data in 3 rows. But, I would like to display the data as we see in a Table Format i.e.,
    1 John 10000
    2 Allen 15000
    Instead of
    1 2
    John Allen
    10000 15000
    Thanks,
    -Vency

    Hi,
    Thanks for giving Reply.
    I knew that we can use HTML tags. I have done with Creating Table and used @{Column_Number} in Row Format.
    <Table><tr><td>@2</td></tr><tr><td>@3</td></tr></Table>
    Here, @2 is a Second Column Data is occupying only one row i.e., displaying John Allen. But I need to display Allen in the next line as I gave the example in the previous post. I am not getting the way How can I Split that @2 into multiple rows.
    Is you are expecting me to do in other way? please suggest..
    Thank You,

  • How to split table in the report so it shows on the next page?

    Hi,
    How to split table in the report so it shows on the next page? Im trying to fit long (many columns) table into my report page. It is too long however. I want it to wrap and show the rest on the next page. What I get now is table cut at the page end and rest is not visible.

    Yes, this might be that the amount of data will cause table to grow and exceed 1, 2, 3.. pages. In that case I would probably want to have, lets say , one half of columns on 1st page then the other on the 2nd page and then repeatedly the same sequence down across all pages. Is there a way to achieve this?

  • How to SPLIT data from Uploaded :AZT file at ";"

    Dear All Experts,
    I need to upload an :AZT file and then SPLIT the data of .AZT fiel at ";" into various fields into an internal table "itab" and then I need to save/update these data of internal table "itab" to database table "ZLT_AZT" . • How to split the report into different versions view 1 agent delivery

    Hello
    I have a scenario where I need to send a dashboard to multiple users. The user information are stored in the table like the following:
    USER    Day     Car                  Pay Type                    Cost   Email
    USER1
    -10
    -2
    Honda
    Customer Pay

    -4
    -1
    AUDI
    Customer Pay + Warranty
    1000
    [email protected]
    USER2
    -4
    -1
    PORSCHE
    Customer Pay + Warranty
    1000
    [email protected]
    Now I have a dashboard call Car, on this dashboard I have prompts like Date, Car, Pay Type, Cost, pretty much the same name as the columns in the above table. I have also set up session variables to pick up users based on the log in.
    Now for user2, he is getting 1 email, which is the dashboard with both Audi and Porsche on there. Instead, he wants to 2 attachments, 1 for Audi and 1 more Porsche. Is there a way to achieve this using 1 agent?
    Please let me know how to split the result sets based on user records in the table
    Thank you

    Hello,
    Thank You very much for the useful hint.

  • Split column into multiple text and number columns

    I'm trying to figure out how to split this column into multiple columns with power query. One column for the company name/person name, one for the address, one for the zip.  Some of the addresses have a three or four digit code before the address, which
    I would like in its own column too.  It's the 170 on the lastname, firstname line.  Does anyone have any pointers on this? I'm familiar with PQ advanced editor, but struggling with this one.

    HI Gil,
    We have column with more than one numbers separated by space or comma or semicolon.
    We need to add the row for each number by keeping all other column value same.
    Here is a original table
    Col1
    Col2
    Col3
    A
    B
    11 22,33 44; 55
    C
    D
    10    20
    and expected output should be
    Col1
    Col2
    Col3
    A
    B
    11
    A
    B
    22
    A
    B
    33
    A
    B
    44
    A

    C
    D
    20

  • How to Split/Bend a tabular into 3 parts in a Form?

    Hi Form Experts,
    My questions is how to split a tabular into 3 parts on the canvas.
    Say I have a table like following.
    create table a (
    id number,
    name varchar2(10)
    insert into a values(1,'a');
    insert into a values(2,'b');
    insert into a values(3,'c');
    insert into a values(4,'d');
    insert into a values(5,'e');
    insert into a values(6,'f');
    insert into a values(7,'g');
    insert into a values(8,'h');
    insert into a values(9,'i');
    In a Form, I would like to show 'table a' in a tabular, but it was cut into 3 parts.
    It is like a 3x3 array.
    The first 3 records are displayed on the first column, the middle 3 records are in the 2nd column,the last 3 records are in the last column.
    1,a     4,d     7,g
    2,b     5,e     8,h
    3,c     6,f     9,i
    When I do the execute_query to this Text Item, I can use Key-up and Key-down to scroll the records.
    The reason why I want to make it, just because if the records cannot fit in one screen, I can bend it to the right side.
    Can you guys give me any hints or solutions?
    Appreciate in advance.
    Phil

    I think we have maybe a communication problem.
    I interpreted your question to be how to separate two paragraphs top and bottom, but now it looks more like you want to separate multi-paragraph "sections" into two parts top and bottom, and yo are coorect, what I suggested does not do that.
    What MIGHT work would be to put text frames on the master pages, two on each, one above the other (and these two frames can actually overlap to allow for content of different lengths). The two top frames should have vertical alignment set to top, the lower frames should be set to bottom. Thread the top frame on the left to the bottom frame on the left, then the top frame on the right and the bottom frame on the right.
    If the paragraph style for the first paragraph in any "section" is set to start in next frame you should jump from frame to frame each time you hit a new section, and the there will never be more than two sections on a page, with the maximum gap available (though if there is a particularly long section, you might need to artificially adjust a frame height to create a gap, especially if the frames overlap), no matter how many paragraphs appear in the section:
    The threading here looks confusing. The top frames extend not quite to the bottom, and the lower frames come not quite to the top, so the outport on the upper frame is lower on the page than the inport on the lower frame. I'vew added numbers so you can see the sequence.
