How to stop the Report to Execute in Dashboard
Hi all
I have a Date Prompt and unless i enter date into the prompt, my Report should not be executed.
I am not allowed to use "Display Results -> link in the Dashboard"
Is there any mechanism to stop the report execution till I enter data in the prompt?

There are couple of options.
In the report add the filter condition date is null and also make date is prompted. So initially the report will show "No results" . So you can format the "No Results" view in the report by adding a appropriate message.
So the initial display would be your custom message. Once you select the date in the prompt it will fetch you the appropriate results.
The same can be done using Guided Navigation also. Just reference a source request(just some report which gives no results) if the request returns rows. Apply this property to the section where your actuall report is placed and that will also give the same.
The option 1 is best and easy solution

Create an infinite loop before the line u want debug.
data: lf_flag.

exit.
endif.
enddo.
Now execute the report in background. In Tcode SM37 select ur job and in menu job--> Capture Active Job
IT will stop at the point of infinite loop.

i have a BIP Report, i have unchecked the "Auton Run" option in the report properties of BIP reports and uploaded the report to My Dashboard,
when i login into the answers or when i refresh the dashboard page, my BIP Report is executing automatically even though it is uncheck in its report properties and generating the "page not found error"... can any one help me, how can i control the BIP report not to execute it until when we click on click export button....virajx3006 wrote:

How to find the report for the SAP query (Query exists in table AQLQCAT)
Hello Experts,
I need to find the tables used in the SAP Query but i don't have access to transaction SQ01,SQ02 and SQ03 to check the same.
Therefore i checked table AQLQCAT and got the SAP Queries in the system. Then searched for the reports that would have been generated for the same passing AQusergroupquery name* in transaction SE38.
But unfortunately the program does not exists for the given paramenter.
Could you please let me know how to get the report name for the SAP Query.
Secondly please suggest any other way of checking the tables used in the SAP Query.
Also the table name from where i can download the SAP Queries.

Execute the query. When the selection screen is showed, go to menu and click to SYSTEM->STATUS.
Check the program name and double click it to access the program code.
Search for tables or functions into the source code in order to understand where data are taken.
If you do not find anything , go to the program atttribute and check for logic database, sometimes they are used....

10133 ADF: How to stop search button to execute when there is an error

I have two dropdownlists in a search criteria on a search page. The search result is at the bottom of the same page. The two values in the dropdownlists need to be validated when the search button is clicked. The validation logic is put in the searchBtn_action method binded to the search button. In the logic, when an invalid combination happens, I am able to post some error message on top of the page. But how can I stop the application to execute the sql statement? I mean if there is any method I can call to exit if there is an error? Thank you very much.

AnnieThis is most likely an optimization problem. I know such behaviour existed in the past with some functions and NI usually fixed it in some later release, but the recent changes in the LabVIEW compiler to use LLVM and various optimization improvements may have added this "feature" back in. The default value behaviour is certainly correct and consistent but the behaviour without default value feels not right to me for LabVIEW. In C I would say ok this is simply undefined behaviour and that means the produced code is entitled to even format your harddisk, since C explicitedly says all undefined behaviour is subject to choices by the implementor and is allowed to do whatever the implementor sees fit, including changing behavior between any version of the compiler.
But LabVIEW as a high level language has explicitedly so called default default data, which in this case should be used. Just having read a bit about LLVM I know they are wrestling with C undefined behaviour as well and LLVM being used a backend by several C compilers already has to deal with them. The reason that C explicitedly has many undefined behaviours is to allow various and sometimes significant optimizations, that could not be done, if the C standard would explicitedly require specific behaviour in certain cases (for instance uninitialized variables).

I am Calling a report from oracle forms 6i, after runing report in " Run_Product(REPORTS,:fn_cntl.nb_report_name,ASYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME, FILESYSTEM,pl_id, NULL);"
I need to copy the pdf to store it in another place once the report is generated.
My Problem is : that i want ot Check first the report has generated after " Run_Product(REPORTS,:fn_cntl.nb_report_name,ASYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME, FILESYSTEM,pl_id, NULL);" is executed ? How to check the report is generated ot not?

How to stop the internal batch session, which is triggered from the program.
When I execute the program, there is an batch session, which starts processing in parallel with the program, and causes an error message for the program, so the further process is affected.
I tried finding the session through the Transactions - SM35, SM37. However, I could find any session in my name.
However, when I try thro SM04, I could find an session with the same error message. But I am not able to end the session.
Pleas advise.

cartesian.Go through transaction SM50. In case you have more than one application server (transaction SM51 will show) you can also use SM66 which will show all running processes on all application servers.
With SM50 you will only see the process running if it is running on the same application server you are logged on to.
Mark the process and use menu 'Program/Session - End Session' or 'Process - End with or without Core'

How to stop the auto-start of log reader agent (replication) right after my database is restored?
I have the scenario where the SQL server is restored (after migration).
This database has transactional replication set-up on one of the databases. When I do a manual delete and restore of the database, I see that the replication starts right after the publisher and subscriber are restored.
Replication agents should not start and run before the integrity checks are completed. How to stop the replication from auto starting right after the migration?

Steps I followed
Started with a Working publication and subscription
Disabled the jobs (log reader and distribution agents)
Backed up publisher, subscriber, distribution and msdb
Deleted the publication, subscription, publisher and subscriber
Restored the publisher, subscriber, distribution and msdb
Enabled the jobs and executed sp_replrestart
Observations/Issues
Replication does not work
Replication monitor does not show any error
Jobs are shows as enabled but not started in job monitor
Not able to start/stop the log reader and synchronization manually.
I am not sure if I have missed something while restoring the db.

Goto SM37... Give Job Name as LIS. User *.
Enable Scheduld, Released and Active Check boxes...execute.
check job belongs to your Application.
You cancel the Active Job if you stop the Job.
or
You can make Released Job to Scheduled (Menu option Job --< Released --> Scheduled.).

I've created a small prog that the only thing it does is to ask for a given password before granting access to certain data. It works fine on the WTK emulator (from Sun of course), but it crashes on a Nokia 6600 due to a bug in the Nokia's MIDP2.0 implementation. Now I need to trace/find the exact point of the program where it crashes (in the mobile phone - where the app gets closed). MY PROBLEM is that I need to insert into the program some kinda code that stops for a while the program saying "I am at the Nth step and running fine", but I can't stop the program from executing, because I can't find out how, I've tried the
display.setCurrent( someAlert );but it doesn't seem to stop the program like it would in an HTML JavaScript page. And:
Thread.currentThread().sleep( 2000 );doesn't stop for some reason the program either..
