How to stop the program for a while?

Hi,
I've created a small prog that the only thing it does is to ask for a given password before granting access to certain data. It works fine on the WTK emulator (from Sun of course), but it crashes on a Nokia 6600 due to a bug in the Nokia's MIDP2.0 implementation. Now I need to trace/find the exact point of the program where it crashes (in the mobile phone - where the app gets closed). MY PROBLEM is that I need to insert into the program some kinda code that stops for a while the program saying "I am at the Nth step and running fine", but I can't stop the program from executing, because I can't find out how, I've tried the
display.setCurrent( someAlert );but it doesn't seem to stop the program like it would in an HTML JavaScript page. And:
Thread.currentThread().sleep( 2000 );doesn't stop for some reason the program either..
Can anyone give me a tip or a workaround of how I can temporarily stop the prog? Please help

Try putting the current thread to sleep right after setting the alert:
yourAlert.setTimeout(3000);
display.setCurrent(yourAlert);

I want to stop the process for some time can any one give the package or keyword or example for the same
For suppose two programs A and B.. .B will run based on output of A. What i need is... When A is executed the process will stop for 5mins then B has to execute...

You can use signals with DBMS_ALERT to "wake up" a procedure.
Procedure A is something like this:
DBMS_ALERT.REGISTER('B_FINISHED');
do logic...
when finished - send a signal
DBMS_ALERT.SIGNAL('A_FINISHED','B you can start');
now wait until B is finished
DBMS_ALERT.WAITANY(...)
continue logic hereAnd Procedure B is
DBMS_ALERT.REGISTER('A_FINISHED');
wait for a to finish
DBMS_ALERT.WAITANY(...);
do logic...
when finished, signal A it can continue
DBMS_ALERT.SIGNAL('B_FINISHED','A can continue');This is useful if u they need to wait for each other within the code. if they just need to wait - call B from A.

How to stop the program flow

i need to stop the program flow control without entering into the start-of-selection.
i am using some manual conditions for validating some parameter fields...
i used Leave list-processing--->but it dosint works
call selection-screen 1000--->it works but when i click the back button the control goes inside the start-of-selection can any one help me with this....

If you want to stop the program flow in case one condition is satisfied, you can use STOP or EXIT command. Else, if you want to stop the program and debug it just but BREAK command where ever you want to stop the program. Also, if you want to validate the program selection at the time of entering the selection before the start of selection, you need to add AT SELECTION-SCREEN event block before the start of selection.

I have a small problem, I want to run my labview program for specified amount of time, Say for example it might be 1 hour or 5 hours or 10 minutes or even milliseconds(The time will be specified by the user).
How to write programs for this
And I want to get the system time in an instance, how it can be achieved,

Herewith my screenshot attached. There are thre inputs thres, tempX, xValue, it is in side the while loop.'xValue' will be acquired every iteration, It will be saved through shift register and acquired to 'tempX' for the next iteration, 'thres' is a constant value. I'm doing some logic, and calculating the dvalue and convert it to a string and concatenate it with end of line character, then after writing it into a file.
In the logic, inside of the functional logic I'm assigning some values dValue, if the logic is true or else dvalue will be 0
What I require is I don't want to write the dValue in to a file, if it is equal to zero. Could you please help me, how to tackle this problem?

Problem in stopping the process for a while

I am facing problem in stopping the process when i call *.exe from java. here i am explaning my problem in detail.

problem is when i call m1() it will create temp.txt , but by the time i call m2() temp.txt is saving into the disk and m2() is not able to find the file.
here what i need is there should be some time gap to before i call m2(); and i tried even with
p.waitfor(); in m1() -if i use this the program is not exiting out of runtime??

First u identify the type of DS, then according to the type of DS, go to CMOD, provide the project name then select the enhancements there it will display the four Exits, select the appropriate one,
if DS is of Type,
Transactional - EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001
MD ATTR - EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002
MD TEXT - EXIT_SAPLRSAP_003
MD HIER - EXIT_SAPLRSAP_004
double click on the particular one then select the include program there u will fild the code fro all the DSs.

How to 'Stop the Clock' for SLA when in customer action?

Does anyone know if the functionality exists so that when a support message goes into 'customer action' or 'solution proposed' status the SLA stops counting down until the message is put back into 'in process'?
The SLA is out of your control when it is waiting for an action from the user so it should be possible for the clock to stop on the SLA automatically when this is the case and the SLA should re-start and re-calculate the new 'completion by' date.
I know that this is standard in many other types of Helpdesk software but can't find the way to do this with Service Desk. Can anyone help?
We are on SM7 SP22.

What i did is like this ..
1. tcode rsa1.
2. expand the tree for info-provider.
3. ctrl+c, in tech. names for update rules.
4. Open rstran table, and input for that tech. id.
5. Execute it.
But no data i get.
Does this happen only for business content ? Or Could I fetch the data even this is for customized object ..
Still need your guidance.

I took this problem to a genius. He removed the SIM card and added a new "blank" card from AT&T. Using this SIM we went to setting an turned cellular data off. Then we put the Apple SIM back in the machine. Now you can turn off the cellular so you will no longer get the messages. To end this practice, sign up with a carrier. if you wish to have a way to break out of the loop, say, when you press enter at the VPC number without entering anything, add the following after your vpc input:

break
which will break out of the while loop and end your program.

I thought about resetting the nvram/pram, but before I do that, I wanted to check here. It might not be the issue. My startup looks fine and the sound is great up until the discrete moment when it's suddenly scrambled and nonsense.

I did try a safe boot once before, which didn't stop the occurrences. I can try it again to make sure, and see if the problem stops happening.
Never installed extra audio or plug-ins, though.
It happened just once not long after I bought the mid-2013 MBA, which I think came with 10.8.4, but I assumed the noise was because I was moving the computer around on a surface that created static, since the noise stopped after I picked it up off the surface. However, that must have just been a coincidence, because it happens more frequently now without moving or touching anything.
Trying the safe-mode boot and restart, and testing it out for day or so to see if it happens again.

Using VB code, I am attempting to modify a Crystal Report before exporting it into a PDF format and then displaying it on the Web.
My problem is that I am unable to access the formula used to dynamically suppress a field.
The following code is working:

I can not find any reference to the actual suppression formula in the SDK help file.
Note, the EnableSuppress can be set to True for False, but if there is a formula for dynamic suppression, the True or False value is overwritten. The results of the formula determine the suppression.
Is there a way to reference this formula. I know that I can put on in using the Crystal Report Designer software, I need to modify this formula using VB code and the SDK.

If you are using the ReportDocument object you do not have access to the Conditional Suppression formula. You can get around it by using a formula field in the report for the supression and then using the FormulaField code to change it at runtime.
If you want to change the supression condition directly at runtime you need to use RAS and the ReportClientDocument.
