How to Suppress Decimal Zeros?

How can I define a numeric data field to suppress decimal zeros?
Example:
A Numeric DB field is defined with 1 decimal place, however when there are no real decimals the Crystal still displays unnecessary decimal zeros:
3 -> 3.0
I request your assistance.

Create a formula with:
if remainder({database.field},truncate({database.field})) = 0 then
totext({database.field},0)
else
totext({database.field},1);
This will convert the number to text.  If you have to do any calculations then just use the original {database.field} in your calculations.
Also when you display just one place after the decimal and if the database field has two decimal places, then the totext function will round the value up or down.

  • How To Suppress Leading Zeroes

Can someone give a new modeler a tip on how to suppress the leading zeroes in a field? Order number, for example, is returned with many leading zeroes, and each dynamic expression I choose doesn't seem to work.
    Thanks in advance!

As I said before, the easiest way I know to do this is to take your data, order number string "0000000000001234567", translate it to an integer - 1234567 - then re-translate that to a formatted string.
I have actually come up with an answer, but am not sure that I like how it has to be done. First, I changed the Control Type for field VBELN (order number) to "None". Then I created two additional fields in the output table view. The first is named fmtOrdNum. Its Control Type is "None", meaning it won't be displayed, and its default value is INT(@VBELN). The second field is named fmtOrdNum2. This field is displayed, and has a default value of NSTR(@fmtOrdNum, 'P'). The resulting output is what I wanted to see - leading zeroes are suppressed.
The reason I'm not happy with this is that I'm not sure that two additional fields should have to be created. I'm looking for the place to tell VC to manipulate (format, in this case) the fields it's received from the BAPI before it places them on-screen. So additional questions remain:
    1. How do you instruct VC to apply formatting to a field before placing it on-screen? Is this done on Control Properties, and where?
    2. Can expressions be nested - e.g. NSTR( INT(@@), 'P') - and to what level?

    Hi,
What type control you are useing for date .
If you are useing Input field of date type or Date picker control you should get this option in the control properties.
Can you tell me what are  tabs are appaering in the conrtol properties.
2.When you you are using the formula Round(@material) ,Are you typing it or draging Field from right side in to  the formula .If you did not drag it you will get Message:Formula has errors.
One more probelm is there if the Data type of field where you using formula is not Number type.
Check all above and get back to me.
3.You are not able to give 6 points for all because its a resrticed one you execeded giving6 points option now you can give only 10 points.

  • How to suppress Missing and Zero rows in OBIEE SA for Essbase Cube as Sour

    Hi All,
Currently we have Essbase(ASO) cubes as source for OBIEE.How to suppress #Misssing and Zero rows in OBIEE.
For example, Dim1 having 4 members and Dim2 having 10 members then it shows 4*10= 40 combinations in Results.
If we considered Metrics also along with attributes, OBIEE will suppress “No Data” values and shows attributes having Data.
In Essbase-Excel Combination, Metrics will automatically comes with attributes so there we have option to suppress “No Data” rows under "Essbase Options".
In our current requirement,Users are selecting only Metadata. Is there any work around where we can suppress even if the measures or metrics are not selected

  • How to cut the zeros after the decimal point ?

    Hello everybody,
does anyone know a solution how to cut the zeros after the decimal point at at CHAR data field?
    For example the field
    &RM06P-PRMG1&
This is a char field in the database, so that the command
    &RM06P-PRMG1(.0C)&
    doesn't work.
At the moment the output on the form is like that
    124,000
    It shoud be like that
    124
It would be great if anyone could help me!
    TIA!
    Strobbel

    Hi Strobbel,
If you are working on standard sapscript, first make a zcopy of it, do the modifications in that and assign the new form to the output types in tcode NACE.
First you need to create a program to write the logic, so go to tcode SE38 , create a new program (say zremove_zero) with Program type Executable.
    Now you will see ABAP Editor with statement;
    Report zremove_zero.
Add the following lines below the report statement.
    *&      Form  remove_zero
    *       text
    *      <--lv_AMT  text
    FORM remove_zero  CHANGING lv_amt.
      DATA p_amt TYPE p.
      MOVE lv_amt TO p_amt.
      MOVE p_amt TO lv_amt.
    Condense lv_amt.
    ENDFORM.
Now save and activate the program.
    Now open the zcopy of your script and Just above the statement  &RM06P-PRMG1& write the following lines;
    /: perform remove_zero in program zremove_zero
    /: changing &RM06P-PRMG1&
    /: endperform.
Now you can see your amount printing without decimals.
Try and let me know, hope i have guided you clearly.

P.S.: I advice you to take help from an ABAPER.

  • How to remove leading zero in a inputfield

I have a inputfield UI element which is bind to a NUM type context.  When it display a number, it always come with leading zero, like '001'. Can anyone teach me how to remove the leading zero.

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/3a/2232666aeb45f4b759848a4caf9c8b/frameset.htm
Use the Display leading zeros formatting option in the context attribute properties.
The other option is to use a data dictionary domain for the field that has a built in field conversion exit. The ALPHA conversion exit is commonly used on NUMC fields like Sales Order number to suppress leading zeros.  The WD runtime will automatically use the underlying DDIC Domain Field Conversion Exit.  You don't need to do anything except use that DDic to define the context.

  • How to Suppress Header and footer.

    Hi,
I have master-Detail report. Report prints One master and all detail records on a page. If detail records are more than to fit on one page, report prints master gaian on next page followed by detail records. For a master record If there are no detail records, I supress the master record also using format trigger.
My problem is how to suppress the Header & Footer information that has to be printed on each page otherwise. When I suppress printing of master, All I get is Page header and footer. This happens only to the master records that fall in between. The pages related to last master records are not printed.
How can I suppress printing of header and footer on blank pages.
    Thanks

    Thanks Santa & Rohit,
As santa has suggested, I am already suppressing the printing of master record and its column headings based on the count of number of deatil records. If count of detail records = 0, I am suppressing master record.
The problem is with Report header (TITLE etc.) and footer. I have to print TITLE and FOOTER on each an very page. So I have put these into Margins. The Count of master records at the report level, can be used to suppress the master records column headings and also TITLE and FOOTER. So if there is no master records, report does not print anything and that is fine.
Problem comes when there are some master records with "No" detail records. Something like:
    -M1
    ----D1
    ----D2
    ----Dn
    -M2
    ----D1
    ----D2
    ----Dn
    M3
    M4
    M5
    ----D1
    ----D2
    ----Dn
    M6
    M7
    M8
My report now produces pages for M1, M2 and blank data area (with Title and Footer) for M3, M4 and the M5. It suppresses pages for M6, M7, M8 etc. So if a master record has no detail records, but happens to be the last records that suppresses the TITLE and footer also.
Any Ideas how to suppress TITLE/FOOTER for M3 & M4.
    Thanks

  • How do I properly zero out or erase the hard drives in my early 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 tower?

How do I properly zero out or erase the hard drives in my early 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 tower?
I assume there are already instructions on Apple.com someplace but haven't seen them yet… I have to one terabyte drives one the operating system the other is blank I want to start fresh I want to zero out both drives but I didn't want to make any mistakes
I know I can use disk utility to 0 Out Dr., #2 that means I will have to take out the operating system hard drive out of my 2008 Mac Pro and put it into my 2009 Mac Pro to use the disk utility to zero out drive one the OS drive in my 2009 Mac Pro am my correct
I just need a little bit a help I want to go slow so I don't make any mistakes with the sleds or with the erasing process which journaled to choose encrypted or not etc. etc.
Furthermore is there instructions on the site on how to change the hard drive into a different sled because the sleds and my 2009 are different than my 2008 any advice
    Thank you

I'm doing this because my friend told me that zeroing out the drive can nap bad sectors and also later for some kind of diagnostics usage of the drive or something like that he wasn't really clear
My friend was really specific he said choose the option that writes zero's once over the drive that is plenty good enough I was inclined to use the maximum seven write ...I just want to make sure the drive has no bad sectors and that's it's it's zeroed out for possible future diagnostics usage or something that he said was usable later
he also advised me to run a test on it but I don't have the software you mentioned or the software that he has… So I may have to take the drives over to his house unless you have some kind of free software that's easy to use that you could suggest that will not only zero out the drive but test the drive completely
I am completely new to Mac I'm no dummy but at the same time I'm not super technically capable I mean I can surprise myself I'm pretty good but I need a good teacher… How expensive is this lifeguard software?
    Thank you

how could  your fico consultant consume  that material against asset, without the stock is going down?
did he do a FI posting only?
if so, then he has to reverse it and has to post the consumption with a MM movement.

  • How to suppress the Acknowledgement  Error in IDOC to File scenario?

    Hi -
I got the status in SXMB_MONI as 'Processed Successfully' for the IDOC to File scenario but the Acknoledgement status throws an error saying 'Acknowledgement not possible'.
I read one of the documents in the forums on how to suppress the acknowledgement using a table on R/3 side using IDXNOALE,
i tried that option but i still get the 'Acknowledgement not possible' error.
Is there any other way to suppress this error?
    Thanks,
    Tirumal

    Hi Tirumal,
Receiver adapters that run on the Adapter Engine support system acknowledgments if they are requested by the sender. Acknowledgements are triggered when a message is successfully processed by the adapter or if an error occurs while it is being processed. Receiver adapters do not support application acknowledgments. The RNIF and CIDX adapters are exceptions to this rule, since they also support scenario-dependent application acknowledgments. Sender adapters of the Adapter Engine do not request any acknowledgments.
This means, JDBC adapter does only send system acks, however IDoc adapter is requesting application acks. Therefore as mentioned by the previous poster, you have to disable acks for this scenario using report IDX_NOALE.
Also go through these documents for any further help:
