How to toggle a region in AJAX

I have 5 regions in a page and each region may contain upto 10 items. Currently these regions are show/hide type based on "self submit select list" value at the top of the page.Now, I need to convert this self submit LOV to Ajax style LOV. If I convert the LOV to AJAX type, how can show/hide the regions as soon as the LOV value is changed without submitting/refreshing page?. I have used "$x_ToggleItemRow(['P1_ITEM','P2_ITEM']);" call to toggle an item and works fine, but not sure how to do the toggle for a region based on AJAX LOV value. any ideas are appreciated.

I feel a little bit stupid but I can't get this to work...
I have a report (tabular form) where I want to have a link of each row to show a region with values.
I have a link in my report:

In page header:

You can use a jQuery dialog.

e.g. create html region, just say you give the region static id: floating-region, make it hidden by adding attributes: style="display: none;"then do like: $('#floating-region).dialog();

pRegionStaticId is the region's static Id+
Note that this code specifically disables only application arrays. Disabled items are not available after submission (and hence are different from readonly) . But any page javascript can modify disabled or readonly items(client side), so you must check at the server side to validate the data.
You can disable items using
disableItems('MY_REGION_ID' ,true);and enable them by passing false
disableItems('MY_REGION_ID' ,false);

First you have to cut the track. Position the crosshair at the bigging of the region you want to remove and type ⌘T to split the track, do the same for the end of the region. Then double click the region and type delete ← to remove it.

How to toggle checkbox control in template-driven Excel spreadsheet?

I am developing a report generation routine for a DAQ LabVIEW application
running a small public water system. Every month critical operating data
must be organized and reported to the state health department. They provide
an Excel template for these forms, which I am populating from LabVIEW.
After giving up on the MS document express VIs (they are apparently incompatible
with a multi-sheet template unless you are only populating the default current
sheet of the template, a restriction I only figured out after hours of "jiggling"
and rooting in the bowels of the block diagrams), I have managed to populate
almost everything in the form using the basic report generation and Excel-specific
VIs.
However, the one item in the spreadsheet I have not figured out how to write are
the checkbox controls embedded in the template. These checkboxes do not appear to
control anything; they just provide a convenient way in the state form to record an
answer for each of a short list of questions.
Anyone know how to toggle, or better, check/uncheck these from LabVIEW? I can modify
the template if necessary to provide names or other hooks for these objects; I just
haven't a clue what to actually do.
I am developing the VI in LV 7.1 DS-PCE, so I have all of the latest add-on goodies
at my disposal.

When it is not clear where best to start with automating a feature of Excel in LabVIEW, using Excel macros can be very helpful. If you record a macro and toggle the state of your checkbox's you will be able to more closely examine how Excel automates this action.
After the macro is recorded you can edit the macro to see which ActiveX function calls you would have to use from LabVIEW to accomplish the same task. Alternatively, you can record the macro, and automate the playback from inside LabVIEW. The two links below will give you more information on how to implement one of these options.

I know how to control volume of entire clip... But how to mute selected region of a clip?
Also I'm curious if iMovie'08 has some kind of audio frequency filter? My cam recorded it's lcd's whisltle sound. Is there a way to reduce it?

To mute a selected region of a clip in a project:
Select the region you want to mute by dragging the cursor while holding down the left mouse button. You should have a yellow rubber band around the portion you want to mute. You can adjust this further by grabbing the handles on either side of the yellow rubber band.
Now, select Edit/Split Clip. Your one clip should have become three clips. Select the one that you want to mute. Click the audio icon and set the volume to zero.
No way I know of to reduce the whistle within iMovie. You can share your movie and open it up in a Garageband project. There, you can do editing on the audio track with all the GarageBand Tools.

I have implemented Carl's AJAX "region pull" example and works fine. This works fine as long as the region is report region. is it possible to pull a form region with items and submit button in AJAX way?. will it be possible to submit update and submit that pulled form. I just tried to do that and gave me the following error. any ideas are appreciated.
Error Item ID (2304200109596392) is not an item defined on the current page.

Hello Surya,
I guess it depends your template. If it works for a report region and not for your forms region, you might want to have a look what the difference is in the templates for both regions.
You could give your form region the template of report region and see if that solves the problem?

How to show all regions when opening piano roll?

hey,
I want to be able to see all events in all regions when opening (not toggling!) a piano roll. I just switched from version 5 (yes, 5) to 9. It used to be like this: you deselect all regions and then just open the matrix editor (that's how the piano roll was called in ancient times).
If I do this in 9, the piano roll shows nothing. If I select all regions and open the PR, it shows only one. If I select one region, open the PR and then go back to the arrange window and select all regions it does show all info in the PR but this is a bit of a not-very-efficient work around.
Anyone any idea?

double click a region, then highlight the ARRANGE window and type command + a. It is essential to choose all regions this way not as you mentioned by choosing all by hand. Remember that when you doubleclick a region Logic highlights the PIANOROLL. So you have to highlight the arrange window by clicking on the bar just below the main tools or in other words, just above the ruler (I don't know the exaqct word for it but I hope you know what I mean.
