How to track changes in text [column type]  changes in MDM

Hi,
How to keep track changes in Text[column type] in MDM tables.Is it the only way that I have to declare it as Name field?

Hi,
You keep track of changes for a field by enabling change tracking for that field in MDM.  This functionality is available in the MDM Console.
For more information  please have a look at the MDM Console Reference Guide -> Part 4: Repository Maintenance -> Other System Tables -> Change Tracking Table
The MDM Console Reference Guide can be found in http://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP NetWeaver -> Release 04 -> Operations -> SAP MDM -> MDM 5.5 SP02 - Console Reference Guide
Hope this helps,
Richard

  • How to replace content in text data type?

    How to replace content in text data type?
    when we sending the mails we are taking content from the database.
    The data is maintained in text data type column. Now i have to replace some of content in mail content
    (text data type column) from database.
    I tried by using REPLACE function but data is truncated

    The data is maintained in text data type column.
    Hello,
    See REPLACE (Transact-SQL) => "If
    string_expression is not of type varchar(max) or
    nvarchar(max), REPLACE
    truncates the return value at 8,000 Bytes"
    You may should consider to Change the data type from "Text" (deprecated) to NVarChar(max).
    Otherwise you have to use
    UPDATETEXT (Transact-SQL) for the text data type.

  • How can I add a text substitution for changing st in 1st to superscript?

    I would like to add text substitutions for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. so the letters show up as superscript. I attempted to change the st, nd & rd to superscript in Pages and tried to paste it, but it simply changed it back to regular format. How can I go about changing this?
    Thank you in advance for your help!

    It only works in TextEdit consistently for me. Mail forgets as soon as I sent the message. Pages doesn't even have an Edit > Substitutions menu, nor it is there anything in the inspector.
    So I use [Typinator|http://www.ergonis.com/products/typinator>, which works system-wide, no fuss, and it's more powerful than the built-in text substitution. Another alternative is [Text Expander|http://smilesoftware.com/TextExpander>.
    If the free trails and price still can't help you decide, see this [discussion|http://www.macheist.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=13544] comparing the two.
    Edit: I eat my words. Getting Typinator to substitute superscript is tricker than I thought.

  • Data Modeler 3.0 EA2: Column type changes to unknown

    Drawing a relational model
    Create table TABLE_1
    add Column_1 - number - primary key
    Create table TABLE_2
    add Column_2 - varchar2 - primary key
    create foreign key TABLE_2_TABLE_1_FK
    Create unique constraint TABLE_2 for columns Column_2 , TABLE_1_Column_1
    Create a foreign key TABLE_1_TABLE_2_FK
    Change PK / UK Index from TABLE_2.TABLE_2_PK to TABLE_2.TABLE_2__UK
    Select Associated Columns and select Child columns
    Parent column           Child column
    Column_2                 TABLE_2_Column_2
    TABLE_1_Column_1       Column_1Press ok - and the column <B>TABE_2.TABLE_1_Column_1 datatype becomes UNKNOWN </B>. It was number.
    Situation before problem happens looks like following. If the model is reverse engineered from this DDL the problem does not happen.
    CREATE TABLE TABLE_1
         Column_1 NUMBER  NOT NULL
    ALTER TABLE TABLE_1
        ADD CONSTRAINT TABLE_1_PK PRIMARY KEY ( Column_1 ) ;
    CREATE TABLE TABLE_2
         Column_2 VARCHAR2  NOT NULL ,
         TABLE_1_Column_1 NUMBER  NOT NULL
    ALTER TABLE TABLE_2
        ADD CONSTRAINT TABLE_2_PK PRIMARY KEY ( Column_2 ) ;
    ALTER TABLE TABLE_2
        ADD CONSTRAINT TABLE_2__UN UNIQUE ( Column_2 , TABLE_1_Column_1 ) ;
    ALTER TABLE TABLE_2
        ADD CONSTRAINT TABLE_2_TABLE_1_FK FOREIGN KEY
         TABLE_1_Column_1
        REFERENCES TABLE_1
         Column_1
    ;

    Hi Rafu,
    I logged bug for that.
    Import of DDL is not the only way to get it working , just need to follow the steps in DDL. TABLE_1_Column_1 column is automatically created FK column when you work manually. If you create it before FK (set data type) and then select it as FK column you'll have the same behavior as in import of DDL.

  • Arrangement track will not allow section type changes LPX

    It seems as though every time I boot up Logic Pro X 10.1.0 I have a new problem. For a while it was the issue with MIDI playing wrong notes even though the MIDI data in the piano roll was correct.
    Now, as I'm entering an arrangement in the Arrangement Track, LPX won't allow me to change the type of section, such as from Outro to Verse, etc. Cursor will not return to an arrow state so I can invoke the drop down list of Arrangement section types - instead, cursor stays in a Drag state, sort of like this:  <->
    I've saved the project and exited the program, and reloaded program and project... no luck
    I've copied my audio files into a new Project - no luck...

    OK, that isn't quite the way to deal with replacing preferences. I'm afraid I don't know the exact locations for the files on Mac becasue I'm a Windows user, so you'll need to d a search (the files are hidden). You need to rename or delete InDesign Defaults and InDesign SavedData, which wil not be in the same folder, if you want to do this manually. You can do this automatically using a keyboard operation during application startup by pressing the four modifier keys (CMD, Control, Opt, Shift) immediately after launching ID. If you don't see a confirmation dialog, you were not fast enough with the keyboard. I'm on my laptop and don't have a link handy, but if you check the online help for setting preferences you'll find more information.
    Remove the Suitcase Plugin. It's a known source for this kind of problem.

  • How to disable Oracle table NUMBER column type auto round-up

    Below is an example,
    SQL> create table a
    a_col1 NUMBER(8, 2)
    SQL> update a set a_col1=1.999 where ...
    I found column 'a_col1' of table 'a' value will be 2.00, but the application is for some financial calculation and doesn't allow any difference of the amount value (like, 1.999 <> 2.00), what I want to achieve is to disable the Oracle NUMBER type auto round-up and make above 'update' SQL fail with error, so I can trap the error and handle it in the program.
    Could anyone advise me how to achieve above or any good suggestion ? Thanks.

  • OIM 11g: How to track the net result of a change?

    Is there any way in OIM 11g to track (by database key, unique identifier, etc.) the net result of a user change?
    For example, if I change the OIM user's password, is there any way to determine which "Change Password" or "Password Updated" tasks were generated as a result on the connectors?
    If there's nothing like that built in, has anybody implemented anything like this?
    Thanks.

  • How can I import formatted text without iWeb changing it into png files?

    I have a resume page on my site and just realized it has changed into png files.
    The formatting is time consuming and I'd rather not have to reformat in iWeb to keep this from happening. Any ideas?

    Kyn,
    I tried that and it does stay text, but for the life of me I can't get the formatting to be consistent. Everything looks fine in Text edit as well as iWeb, but once published whether to .mac or to a folder on my own computer, the formatting goes whacky, some things are out of alignment but I don't know why. I can see in the code that the spacing is wrong but I can't figure out why.

    Mark, we are trying to evaluate oracle 9i XML to make sure it meets our needs for our product.
    Basically we are interested in having a hybrid table structure. Some elements of the schema we are intereted in mapping to oracle primitive types e.g. NUMBER, VARCHAR etc.. while the other elements we are intereted in keeping as CLOB (or XMLTYPE's etc.., i.e. we dont want structure approach for them).
    So, I wanted to make sure we can do it. I was testing this out and was able to make Reference and RejectType as CLOB using the schema below, but now when I try to register an XML from XMLDBDemoScript it throws the error "schema and element do not match"!
    Any pointers on some of the many things I am doing wrong :)

  • How could i listen to the column width changed event of a tableview

    I really want to do some painting when the column is resized manually.
    but it seems that there's not a column reszie event in javafx, is there?

    TableColumn dateCol = new TableColumn("Date");
    dateCol.setCellValueFactory(new PropertyValueFactory("longrowid"));
    dateCol.widthProperty().addListener(new ChangeListener(){
            @Override public void changed(ObservableValue o,Object oldVal,
                     Object newVal){
                 System.out.println("Width property has changed!");
          });

  • Tabular form with uneditable apex_item.text column

    When I use the following query for my Tabular Form I have the AGE column uneditable
    select
    "ID",
    "ID" ID_DISPLAY,
    apex_item.text(44,"AGE") as "AGE"
    from "#OWNER#"."SAS_TEST"
    I changed the AGE column type to Standard Report Column but still the column values are not able to update the values.
    The column will show the HTML input and view the correct values from the table but you can not update the column.
    I have apex 4.0.2

    I found the solution. You must have both the original column in your sql (as hidden type), and you must add the APEX_ITEM.TEXT with an alias different than the true db column name.
    In order to set the hidden real column values after submitting the page, add the page process pl/sql below. Of course you need to find the g_fxx number by looking at your page source. This will transfer the values from one pl/sql table to the other which is mapped in the MRU process.
    On Submit - Before Computations and Validations
    BEGIN
    -- Database Column Name: DEFAULT_VALUE
    -- Set the hidden DEFAULT_VALUE field for all visible records to null
    -- Note: g_f19 maps to the hidden DEFAULT_VALUE column
    -- g_f30 maps to the visible DEFAULT_VALUE_ADMIN column
    FOR ii IN 1 .. APEX_Application.g_f19.COUNT
    LOOP
    APEX_Application.g_f19(ii) := APEX_Application.g_f30(ii);
    END LOOP;
    END;

  • Text Caption Types

    Does anyone know of any way I can change the Text Caption
    Types to a type used with Captivate 2? I really like the yellow two
    options that I used in my previous demos and this is not an option
    in Captiate 3. If I add to a previous demo- I have to individually
    update text caption to maintain the same look and feel.
    Thanks

    Hi julesfischy
    Sorry that wasn't helpful. Here's the deal. When Adobe
    created Captivate 3, they relocated some of the older captions to a
    folder named "More". So they are still there if you know where to
    look. If you want your older types to automatically appear in the
    list to choose from, you may locate them behind the scenes and copy
    them from the "More" folder to where Captivate will find them. The
    normal location is below:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 3\Gallery\Captions
    Or... if it's just a one time shot, you may choose instead to
    simply choose the type by clicking the Caption Type drop-down,
    scrolling to the bottom where it says <Custom>, and when you
    click <Custom> a dialog opens with the More folder visible.
    Hopefully you will find this more helpful.
    Sincerely... Rick

  • Joint 2 datatable with column type double with a seperater

    Can anyone please tell me how to merge 2 datatable of column type double with a seperator (|). one with datetime header and 2nd table with integer headers, like this

      12346          47894
    table 2

    to become
    01/02/2015        01/03/2015
    12346 | 7899    47894 | 45678
    thanks

    Hi Sysaide,
    According to your description, you'd like to migration the two dataTable to one.
    What is the corresponding relationship of these two DataTables? Or when you migrating, the 01/02/2015 column and 1 column are fixed to one column. what is the relationship between these two columns?
    Or, Does the first column of table1 correspond to the first column of table2? the second correspont to the second? ...
    If the column index is corresponding each other. you could use the following way.
    Getting out the value of each cell, then rebuild a new table to get this new value.
    In your example, your column type is DataTime, but the value in the column is still string type. The below sample is used two different column type, string and int. And I show the result in a dataGridView.
    DataTable dt1 = new DataTable();
    dt1.Columns.Add("01/02/2015", typeof(string));
    dt1.Columns.Add("01/03/2015", typeof(string));
    DataRow dr = dt1.NewRow();
    dr["01/02/2015"] = "11";
    dr["01/03/2015"] = "12";
    dt1.Rows.Add(dr);
    dr = dt1.NewRow();
    dr["01/02/2015"] = "21";
    dr["01/03/2015"] = "22";
    dt1.Rows.Add(dr);
    DataTable dt2 = new DataTable();
    dt2.Columns.Add("1", typeof(int));
    dt2.Columns.Add("2", typeof(int));
    DataRow dr2 = dt2.NewRow();
    dr2["1"] = 1111;
    dr2["2"] = 1122;
    dt2.Rows.Add(dr2);
    dr2 = dt2.NewRow();
    dr2["1"] = 2211;
    dr2["2"] = 2222;
    dt2.Rows.Add(dr2);
    DataTable dt = new DataTable();
    dt = dt1.Clone();
    for (int i = 0; i < dt1.Rows.Count; i++)
    dt.Rows.Add();
    for (int j = 0; j < dt1.Columns.Count; j++)
    dt.Rows[i][j] = dt1.Rows[i][j].ToString() + " | " + dt2.Rows[i][j].ToString();
    this.dataGridView1.DataSource = dt;
