How to transport deletion of bw objects?

I have transported an InfoCube to my test server.  However, now I wish to delete that InfoCube.  What is the proper way to delete a bw object in the QA environment?  Do I delete the bw object in the development server, then somehow attach the deletion to a request?  Or do I have to delete the object direclty in QA?
Thanks,
- B

Hi Brendon,
Once an object is transported, you need to delete it using a transport as well. When you delete your object in Dev, the system will prompt for a transport request. You can then import this in your QA (and prod) system. It is not advised to delete directly in Q, moreover the systems settings would prevent this in most companies.
Hope this helps...

  • How to transport deletion config entry

    Hi
I have deleted payment terms in Development client and want to reflect the same in Quality. It did not ask for Transport request while deleting.I am aware in case of any addtion or modifications we select the particular new/modified entry and create a transport request by including the changes.
Here I can't do that since  entry is deleted. How do I delete the entry in Quality.
    Please help.
    regards

    Hi,
    Good afternoon and greetings,
You can recreate the Transport Request in the following way
    1. By seeing the entry in QA recreate the Payment Method in Development client and at the time of saving ensure that a transport request is prompted.
    2. You will have to delete the Payment Method and SAVE IT IN THE SAME Transport request and then release it to see the effect in the QA client.
Please reward points if found useful
    Thanking you

  • How to transport source system dependent objects

    Hi everybody,
I've read several questions about how to transport source dependent objects between systems and I still don't get whole picture
say I have BWDEV attached to R3DEV and
               BWQA attached to R3QA
and I want to transport transfer rules from BWDEV to BWQA
    1) should I create, by hand, the source system R3QA in BWQA and replicate its datasources in the first place?
    2) or it has to be transported from BWDEV and "some how" converted in BWQA
    3) where does the source system name mapping has to be done: in BWDEV, BWQA or in both
    4) in order to do the mapping of names in BWQA I need to create the corresponding R3QA, otherwise I don't have the entry under TargSrceSy when executing tc RSLGMP
I really apreciate an step by step process for the above scenario
    thanks a lot

    Hi Juan,
Let me try to shed some light. Before you can transport dependent objects in the BW side, you have to make sure that the necessary dependencies in the R/3 side have already been transported. For example, if you have a datasource in R/3, you have to transport that from dev to QA first (before you transport anything in BW). Then, in the BW QA box you have to replicate the datasource before you can transport any BW objects in the BW QA. Then before transporting anything to BW QA and after replicating the datasource in the BW QA you have to go to RSA1->Tools Menu->Assignment of Source System to Source System ID menu item and make sure that R3DEV is mapped to R3QA. It is only after all the said checks have been done that you can transport objects in the BWQA.
Here are my answers to your questions:
Q1: This depends on your datasource. Some datasources can be transported. Some can be created in the QA box itself. But in both cases, you have to make sure that DataSource exists in R3QA and then replicate it in the BWQA.
Q2: The conversion follows the setup in "Assignment of Source System to Source System ID" in RSA1.
Q3: The "Assignment of Source System to Source System ID" in RSA1 has to be done in the BWQA.
Q4: Yes, you have to setup the R3QA Source System in the BWQA.
    Hope this helps.

  • How can i delete an java object immediately?

Is there any mechanism that delete an object immediately?
I know I can delete an java object by GC mechanism, but it can not be effective immediately.
    is there any other solutions?
    thanks -:)

And you did an internet search to try and find out how to delete Java from your computer? Well, this forum is for Java programmers, people who write programs using the Java language. Not for people who use those programs. But it was a good try.
The easiest thing for you to do is just to leave Java on your computer. It won't do any harm (aside from taking up a bit of space on your disk) and if you go to a web site that contains an applet, it might even be useful. Maybe that's why you got the link in the first place.
If you really want to get rid of it, then go into Control Panel and use Add and Remove Programs to do that. (It's called something else in Vista, I forget what, hope you didn't get stuck with that.) But I would still suggest leaving it on your computer.

    Hi,
can you please give clear idea...
It looks like when the namespace was deleted delete all objects under this namespace was systematically deleted.
means all objects under namespace is already deleted before deleting namespace..right?
If so then Now there are existing interface objects somewhere out there in the IR. Objects such as data types, message type, message mapping and interface mapping objects
Try to clear your cache..using SXI_CACHE...
Try to  re-create namespace and delete all objects related to your namespace and delete namespace again...( Not sure this wull help..but u can try)

  • How TopLink handles deletion of dependent objects

    Hi,
If you load an object in one ClientSession, release this Session then serialize this object to Client, in Client remove one dependent object (1-M) from this object, then serialize this to server, on server acquire another ClientSession, acquire an UnitOfWork then register and deepMergeClone the object, the TopLink don't delete the dependent object from database but remove this from cache, what happen?

Are you sure it's mapped as a private relationship on the 1-M? Are you sure that when you remove the target from the collection that you are setting it's source to null? I.e:
    In Invoice:
    public removeInvoiceItem(InvoiceItem ii) {
    getMyInvoiceItems().remove(ii);
    ii.setInvoice(null);
When removing a 1-M, it's most important to set the backreference to null.
Are you certain that you are doing the remove on a serialized object and not on the cached object by accident?

  • How to transport deletion of a SAP Query

    Hi
I have a SAP query which I deleted in the development system through SQ01.    How do I transport this deletion to production ?   Is this possible, or should we be deleting it directly in production system ?
    Many thanks,
    Sanker

I am interested in this question too.
The deletion is written to the standard BEx transport. Is it possible to collect the deleted queries and transport the deletion to production somehow?

  • How to transport Enqueue and Dequeue Objects / Lock Objects / R3

    Hi Gurus,
i have created two lock Objects.
I transported those objects in Q system but the table tab has no objects.
But in Dev every thing is correct.
Could you please indicate how i can get the objects correctly transported?
    Thanks

Easy and best approach is by getting them re transported by using transport of copy request (Type of request)
    1) Get the Transport of copy request created by basis team / urself under your user.
    2) Go to SE10 and highlight the request and click on include objects icon
    3) Later in the pop up window select the radio button which mentions "Include free objects"
    4) Then in the next screen mention the details based on the attributes of the Enque and deque object or else provide the package name and execute and in the next screen choose the concerned enque and deque objects and include them in the request.
    5) Transport the Transport of copy to quality.
    Also, more easiest is.
Find out the task of the request with with the enque and deque objects were created with (if more than one select all), and then include the tasks in the transport of copy and transport it to next system
If you are not able to do the above two steps then i think the object is $TMP object, kindly cross check.
    Cheers

  • How can I delete the existing objects and Relation ships in OM?

    Hi One and All,
Hope all of you doin well,
I want to delete the all existing objects in OM, like Org units, positions, jobs and etc... and also relationships.
    Please guide me.
    Thanks,
    Potru.

all Objects are stored in table HRP1000 and relations in HRP1001, related to HRP1001 there are HRPADxx tables depending on the relationship.
You will have to write your own program.
If you have Clone&Test you could use /BKC/SOL21_PDPDEL to delete complete (sub-)structures.

  • How to Transport the Business content objects using Transport connections

    Hi BI Guru's,
I have installed the BW statistics cubes in BW Devlopment and i want to Transport the same things to Quality using Transprot connection. Please send steps and tips for Transporting the BW statistics collected objects.

    Hi ,
While installing have you given any package and created request for this activation? If yes go to SE 09 and release your task and then request. And receive this in STMS in BWQ.
If you do not have created request and saved it in $tmp while activation then you have to go to RSA1 > transport connections> select your cube > grouping> only necessary objects> collect automatically> and press transport button this will give you request no > and then release this request> then go to BWQ> stms> select source system> select your request> and press import request button(white truck sign)> do necessary settings > and say OK. Once your request status is green then its successfully received in BWQ.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi
If the QA system has different client than Dev will it get migrated  via transport request as you have mentioned above?
I have manually created an entry in my transport request.
         R3TR  TABU  Table  keys: Client = 250 and Object_key = XYZ.
My QA system has different client than dev. QA is 300. Dev is 250.
When I migrate this request will the table entries automatically maintained/updated with client 300 in QA?
    Thanks

  • How to transport deletions of InfoPackages

    Hi,
After migrating the datasources to 7.0, I am deleting the infopackages under the datasources. Some of them are prompting for a transport request, but some do not. What is the procedure for transporting those deleted infopacks that did not prompt for a transport request? Is there a place in transport connection for deleted infopacks? I could not find any thread on this. Please help.

    Hi Latha
"I tried that in vein. I captured the original infopackage first and then deleted, but when I deleted no prompt popped up."
This will work. Once you added the infopackage in one of the transport request, whatever changes you made to this , will be automatically saved into the same transport...

When I  transport this changes to QA,  the tax code is still exists, so I have to delete manual in QA.
I dont want it happen again in PRD.
How to transport deletion tax code ?

    Hi Callia,
Please check note 443433. When you maintain tax codes with tax jurisdiction codes, condition
    records cannot be deactivated.
    Also check these notes:

  • How to determine deleted objects in a transport

    Hi
I create a new report Z_TEST_1 and assign this one to a new transport request.
Now I rename this report to Z_TEST_1B
In my transport are two entries:
    -Z_TEST_1
    -Z_TEST_2
Now I read this objects with function module TR_READ_COMM
Afterwards I want to analyse the objects of this transport
But how can I see which objects exists and which not?
I only need the (still) existing objects (in my test case: Z_TEST_2)
I don't want to check every single object if this object still exists. I know I could check the entry in table TRDIR (for reports).
But there are a lot more object kinds in my transport (function modules, dictionary objects, forms, table keys)....
Does anyone have a simple solution for this problem?
    Thanks
    Andy

    Hello There.
SE03 is for finding the existing objects according to your first question (for function modules, reports, etc).
As your object is not imported or transported.
You need to find your deleted objects in Transaction SE95.
    In the window beneath,
    1. Go to window, Reset Objects.
    2. Check the deleted objects.
    3. You can also mention your request or package.
    4. Execute.
    5. Go to Deleted objects node.
    6. Navigate to the node desired.
    7. You can also find the request related to that business object by clicking on find requests.
    These are the logs.
If you have already tried out then its good or else give feedback.
    Good Luck & Regards.
